How many times dear reader have you found yourself in a quite challenging situation (having an ambitious student, but with depression, social, emotional and interaction deficits, low self-esteem, OCD and everything connected with ASD) when the most crucial was timing (15 weeks and the same amount of subjects to pass by the given learner) and you have been looking for possible solutions without any further favorable outcomes wondering what should be another step of mine as educator in the upcoming end of the school year? This paper is some sort of answer on the given questions providing a far-reaching suggestion, after in-depth reflection and evaluation, for individual creative work in order to understand ASD students. Sometimes we need to give ‘three steps back to move one step forward’. Three steps back is a diligent investigation that consists of four stages, namely stage of novitiate (refocus), stage of puzzles, and stage of fixing the puzzles and stage of creativity. What’s more, we need to reflect on our thoughtfulness by analyzing acronym C.A.M.P.A.I.G.N.E.R. with specific personality traits. Possessing background knowledge about the problem and ourselves we can move forward by implementing creatively possible solutions to our circumstances remembering about being in every situation ourselves.

RESEARCH OBJECTIVE: Scholars have formulated a wide definition with reference to societal values. Phillip Selznick (1985, p. 363) has, for instance, provided an uncritical understanding of regulation that is of particular relevance. He states that the central meaning of regulation “...refers to sustained and focused control exercised by a public agency over activities that are valued by a community.” THE RESEARCH PROBLEM AND METHODS: The research problem is to analyze of regulation of the societal values according different scholars. This statement is critical followed up in this paper. THE PROCESS OF ARGUMENTATION: According to Selznick, the emphasis on valued communal activities is important because the regulatory effort helps to uphold public standards, ethics and norms. He underestimates, in the early phase of the 1980s, the power concentration proceedings by the upcoming of the regulatory state in the Western domain. In the paper this process is analyzed in terms of empirical facts. RESEARCH RESULT: The research result published in the paper is that in its widest sense, we may define regulation and its implementation by the government as the totality of all mechanisms of social protection and control. We find bureaucracy and democratic deficit as embedded consequences of this type of governance. CONCLUSIONS, INNOVATION AND RECOMMENDATIONS: According to the theory of the regulatory state, the task of research is to present national and international “narratives” of different institutional arrangements and the practice of regulatory governance. Alongside this approach, there is the view of networking theory that emphasizes the study of political economics. Taming of the undemocratic power of the regulatory state issue will be essential for future politics. Besides too much regulation is an obstacle to innovation.

Opis:
Subject of my work encompasses all issues relating to family life with a disabled person. In this article I went into the situation of both parents of a disable child, their relationship between themselves and offspring, both healthy and sick, and also described the living conditions of handicapped siblings. The text also includes a description of the family in which children are healthy while parents are facing deficits. In my work I focused mainly on problems that relatives of a handicapped person need to face – the first shock when they find out about the sickness, an internal struggle with their own opinions, the reorganization of life and breaking the shame and fear. The purpose of my article is to show the reader realities of living under one roof with a disable person, to confront him with a situation which can affect anyone of us, forcing to ask the question:AmI really tolerant?

Individuals with particular qualities or characteristics are predisposed to develop cognitive impairment non dementia. The main aim to study socio-demographic factors and personality traits, that contribute to the development of depressive disorders in elderly patients with cognitive deficits. The purpose of the article was to show that it is important to investigate the socio-psychological factors that can worsen the course of cognitive impairment, which already comes with age. During the research an observational study involving 111 patients from Kazakhstan with cognitive deficits was conducted: 59 patients, whose depressive disorders had been identified by clinical and psychopathological research using the Hamilton Depression Rating Scale (HRSD) and 52 patients for whom psychogenic depressive disorders had not been defined. The recruitment of the study participants was carried out in the state nursing home for the elderly and disabled. The study included male and female individuals aged 60-74 years with different national and ethnic backgrounds, with mild to moderate cognitive impairment, who wished to participate in the study and signed an informed consent to participate in the study. This study uncovered the primary factors that increase the chances of individuals with cognitive impairments developing a depressive disorder. These factors include personal attributes of the patients, such as their sex, whether they are married or not, and the quality of their relationship with their family members. In addition, personality traits from before their cognitive decline, such as a tendency for isolation, insecurity, and passivity, were also significant. This study could have an exceptional value for medicine and psychological workers on the whole and in Republic of Kazakhstan in particular to prevent depressive diseases were mentioned.

Aim: To evaluate the impact of cataract on color vision detection using an anomaloscope. Methods: 12 patients aged 64–82 years with history of cataract surgery in one eye and mature cataracts in the other eye were examined for color vision using the Rayleigh and the Moreland anomaloscope tests. Results: Different patterns of blue and green color vision deterioration have been observed in the eye with cataract as compared to the IOL eye. A decrease in M1 to approximately 1 (the minimum of the Moreland test scale) was observed in 5 out of 12 participants, whereas an increase in M2 to 99 (the maximum of the Moreland test scale) was observed in 6 out of 12 subjects. R1 found in the Rayleigh test was significantly lower in the cataract eyes as compared to the IOL eyes (38.9 ± 2.3 vs. 43.4 ± 1.6; p < 0.001). Conclusions: It has been shown that cataract causes a decrease in color sensitivity, especially affecting green and blue colors. Following IOL implantation, the previously deteriorated vision of green and blue was clearly improved. The most valuable parameters of the anomaloscope test, which enable to determine cataract severity, were M1, M2 and R1.

The purpose of this article is to determine the degree, direction and strength of the impact of the studied variables, i.e. the state budget balance and the current account balance as part of Poland’s balance of payments in the years 2009–2018 based on the data of the Statistics Poland. The main research questions focus on determining the type of relationships connecting the studied deficits and the degree, direc tion and type of interaction in light of previous studies dedicated to the hypothesis of twin deficits. The methodology used is based on inte grated correlation analysis, linear regression and an analysis of the co efficient of variation. As a result of the study, a strong correlation was found between the cumulative values of the examined deficits, con firming the existence of the twin deficit hypothesis in Poland in the examined period; this means that the budget deficit affects the current account balance of payments. The main balance stabilizing the negative balance of primary incomes, in which the income of non-residents from foreign direct investment is the dominant position, was the balance of extremely dynamically developing service exports.

Most of the data obtained from studies of memory in patients with dementia, especially with the dementia of Alzheimer type indicates unawareness of deficits of their own memory. The results of previous research are not consistent, however, suggest that certain aspects of patients’memory can be adequately assessed by them. The research involved patients with DAT (N=15) and appropriately selected group of individuals without neuropsychiatric diseases (N=15). The task was estimate the level of recall of words from the list (judgment of learning - 10 trials), and then to remember and recall those words (10 trials). The subjective (estimates) and objective (level of reminding) results were compared. During studies the level of intensity of depression, the overall level of cognitive functioning and language capabilities and the subjective assessment of general characteristics of own memory and their correlation with the level of estimation and recall of lists of words was analyses. It was found that the DAT patients had stayed below their possibilities to remember words, and recalled fewer words than control group. Both patients with DAT and healthy individuals overestimated their own skills. In the control group the relationship between the intensity of depressive mood, general assessment of their own memory, overall level of cognitive functioning and the subjective assessment of the possibilities to remember a list of words, and sometimes also with the level of reminders was demonstrated. None of these variables (general assessment of own memory, language capabilities, overall level of cognitive functioning) did not specifically affected subjective ratings and performances in DAT group. Data suggest, that not all aspects of knowledge about own memory disintegrate in DAT. In dementia the knowledge about general properties of memory and about its specific aspects became independent processes which that in healthy subject are mutually dependent.

The article presents the hazard identification process as a sequence of events that leads to accident and/or material loss at the workplace. The chain of events can be described as an orderly set of circumstances conducive to the emergence of a threat. The article presents an analysis of the application of elements of the events theory to the identification of hazards in an industrial plant on the example of a gas explosion. The circumstances supporting the emergence of a gas explosion hazard were identified by determining the direct and indirect causes of the event and the main conditions leading to the event (loss). Also indicated is the cause of gas explosion hazard, which is the initiating factor in the chain of events.

Developmental dyslexia is a disorder that involves reading and writing skills of young individuals. Numerous hypotheses have been proposed to explain its origins. One of them is the theory of cerebellar deficit, which assumes that the major factor impeding the process of learning to read and write is a dysfunction in anatomy and functioning of the cerebellum, which results in some deficits in the automation process. For several years, there have been performed studies aimed at the construction of effective therapeutic tools. Yet, at present, convincing evidence for the effectiveness of these tools is lacking. In the current study the effectiveness of the Learning Breakthrough therapeutic program was examined. There were used four reading tests to be done twice – before and after a 4-month training. An improvement on reading tests was expected in the experimental group only. However, no significant differences between pretests and posttests and between the experimental group and the control one, were observed. These findings suggest that the therapeutic intervention have not improved the level of reading in the dyslexics.
Dysleksja rozwojowa to zaburzenie związane z trudnościami w czytaniu i pisaniu. W literaturze przedmiotu istnieje wiele hipotez mających na celu wyjaśnienie jego przyczyn. Jedną z nich jest teoria deficytu móżdżkowego. Zakłada ona, że głównym czynnikiem utrudniającym proces nauki czytania i pisania są dysfunkcje w budowie oraz funkcjonowaniu móżdżku, czego konsekwencją są deficyty procesu automatyzacji. Od kilku lat prowadzi się badania zmierzające do stworzenia narzędzi terapeutycznych pomocnych w niwelowaniu trudności obserwowanych u osób dyslektycznych. W chwili obecnej brakuje jednak przekonujących dowodów na temat ich skuteczności. Celem przeprowadzonego badania była ocena efektywności programu terapeutycznego Learning Breakthrough. W tym celu posłużono się czterema testami czytania, które wykonywane były dwukrotnie – przed i po 4-miesięcznym treningu. Oczekiwano poprawy wykonania testów czytania tylko u uczestników z grupy eksperymentalnej. Jednakże analiza statystyczna nie ujawniła żadnych istotnych różnic między wynikami otrzymanymi w preteście i postteście, tak pomiędzy grupą eksperymentalną, jak też i kontrolną. Uzyskane rezultaty sugerują, że interwencja terapeutyczna nie poprawiła poziomu czytania u osób dyslektycznych.

Right hemisphere brain damage manifests itself in the language at the level of not only expression but also reception. Utterances of people with right hemisphere dysfunctions are often disorderly and illogical. As recipients, patients with right hemisphere brain damage, for instance, interrupt their interlocutor’s utterance, cannot understand jokes, mockeries, or ambiguous messages. The paper describes language and communication defi cits arising from right hemisphere brain damage and cases of patients suffering from right hemisphere disorder. The data obtained in the course of examining people with right hemisphere damage show that the most disturbed aspects of language include: lexical and semantic processing, processing complex language information, discourse, and prosody.

The analysis of the deficits and ethical dilemmas in research will be related to two disciplines of the social sciences: sociology and economics. Research conducted within these disciplines, because of its multi-paradigm nature, tends to be characterized by deficits, not only ethical but also ethical and methodological dilemmas and interpretation reasons. The leading thesis of this paper aims to argue that the looming deficits and ethical dilemmas of Polish researchers in the field of social sciences are two basic but very different premises. The first group of reasons primarily refers to broad ethical deficits, perceived unreliableness in terms of scientific research. It is related mainly to the structural aspects of the functioning of universities and other research units and logic parameterization. In the ethical programs (especially codes of ethics), ethical deficits are identified in three areas of “activity” of research related to the description, diagnosis and interpretation of the results relating to: bragging-e.g. the preparation, recording and publishing of the results that were not obtained; falsification-which means manipulating the research materials, equipment or method, replacing or bypassing the data in such a way that the results are not presented in a true way; plagiarism-the appropriation of other people ideas, methods, results, or terms without proper reference. Plagiarism is also the unauthorized use of information obtained through confidential review of proposals and manuscripts, or e.g. using conference presentations without permission. Its structural evidence is primarily the emphasis on “productivity” and parameterization as the basic criterion, not only of scientific but also academic success-oriented and personalized careers. The second group of reasons refers primarily to broad ethical dilemmas; to the ethical context of social research at every stage of the proceedings: conceptualization, selection of methods, techniques and research tools, conducting research (which concern, for example, the covert participant observation), analysis and interpretation of data, publishing developed and interpreted empirical material. Performing even a cursory analysis of how to present research findings in these two disciplines, you can come to the conclusion that the methodological competence of the investigator does not always go hand in hand with ethical competence. What is more, there is a tendency to downplay the principle that the social sciences should be guided by the principle of the so-called humanistic coefficient.

Asperger syndrome (AS) included in ASD is characterized by significant difficulties in social interaction, along with restricted and repetitive patterns of behaviour and interests. It differs from other autism spectrum disorders by its relatively good linguistic and cognitive development. However, the observed language abnormalities observed in the Asperger syndrome comprise: pragmatics (application of language in social context), semantics (the meaning of what is being said) and prosody (rhythm, intonation and modulation of speech). Communication deficits include difficulties with using spoken language and gestures, inability to initiate and sustain appropriate conversation, and use of inappropriate, repetitive language. Other aspects of language, such as phonology or syntax, will not always show significant impairments, or deficiencies may be observed only in some groups of patients. The difference between formal linguistic skills (with regard to morphologic, phonologic and syntactic functions) and semantic-pragmatic skills is considerable. Communication deficits are most probably the consequence of difficulties within the integration between word-pertaining semantic information and the knowledge about the world and earlier experiences which are crucial for giving a differentiated sense to interpreted communications. One of the possible causes of the described problems may be atypical semantic processing patterns observed in groups of patients with the AS.
Spektrum zaburzeń autystycznych to grupa zaburzeń neurorozwojowych charakteryzujących się nieprawidłowościami w zakresie funkcji językowych i komunikacyjnych, deficytami funkcjonowania społecznego oraz powtarzalnymi zachowaniami i jednostronnymi zainteresowaniami. Zespół Aspergera (ZA) zaliczany do tej grupy zaburzeń charakteryzuje się występowaniem nasilonych problemów w zakresie interakcji społecznych oraz powtarzalnymi i sztywnymi wzorcami zainteresowań i aktywności. Różni się od innych zaburzeń ze spektrum autyzmu stosunkowo dobrym rozwojem w zakresie funkcji językowych i poznawczym. W obrazie klinicznym zespołu Aspergera obecne są jednak deficyty językowe w zakresie pragmatyki (używania języka w kontekście społecznym), semantyki (rozpoznawania różnych znaczeń tego samego słowa) oraz prozodii (rytmu, intonacji i modulacji mowy). Deficyty komunikacyjne odnoszą się zatem do trudności w używaniu języka mówionego i gestów, niemożności inicjowania i podtrzymywania adekwatnej konwersacji, używania nieadekwatnych do sytuacji i powtarzalnych zwrotów językowych. Inne funkcje językowe, np. fonologiczne oraz syntaktyczne, mogą nie wykazywać istotnych zaburzeń bądź deficyty można zaobserwować tylko w niektórych grupach pacjentów. Różnica pomiędzy formalnymi umiejętnościami językowymi (w zakresie funkcji morfologicznych, fonologicznych i syntaktycznych) a semantyczno- -pragmatycznymi jest wyraźna. Deficyty komunikacyjne są najprawdopodobniej konsekwencją trudności w zakresie integracji informacji semantycznych dotyczących słowa z wiedzą o świecie oraz z wcześniejszymi doświadczeniami, które są niezbędne do nadawania zróżnicowanego sensu interpretowanym komunikatom. Jedną z przypuszczalnych przyczyn opisywanych problemów mogą być atypowe wzorce przetwarzania semantycznego obserwowane w grupach pacjentów z ZA.

In recent years, the main macroeconomic problem of Turkey is current deficits. In order to realize sustainable growth, the balance of payment should be kept under control. This control system is directly depends on minimization of current deficits. One of the main reasons of Turkey’s current account deficits is energy imports. By applying the Johansen co-integrated analysis, this paper aims to identify the relationship between energy consumption and economic growth by using the data set between the years 1984–2012 with reference to VAR (Vector Auto Regression). Furthermore, unit root test was applied to the data which is the traditional unit root tests ADF (Augmented Dickey Fuller), PP (Phillip–Perron) and KPSS (Kwiatkowski–Phillips–Schmidt–Shin) and taking into account the structural break test was performed Zivot–Andrews. In addition to examining the long-term relationship between the two variables, taking into account the structural break in the cointegration test Engle–Granger and taking into account the structural break Hatemi-J cointegration test were applied. According to the results of the analysis, we reached that there is a relationship between energy consumption and economic growth.
