    Celem artykułu jest zbadanie czynników, którymi kierują się wykonawcy budowlani podczas podejmowania decyzji o uczestnictwie w przetargu. Wybór odpowiedniego przetargu, o którego wygranie firma będzie się starać, ma znaczący wpływ na jej kondycję i jest ważnym aspektem w jej dążeniu do sukcesu. W obliczu dużej konkurencji, wielu kontrahentów szuka optymalnego rozwiązania, w którym osiągną równowagę pomiędzy minimalizacją ryzyka związanego z realizacją przedsięwzięcia, a maksymalizacją zarówno swoich korzyści, jak i szans na wygranie przetargu, w którym zamierzają startować.
    This article analyses the factors which influence construction firms in taking decisions concerning participation in tender procedures. The choice of appropriate contracts for the firm to attempt to win has a significant influence on its condition and is an important aspect of its striving for success. In the face of heavy competition, many firms seek an optimum solution to achieve a balance between minimization of the risk connected with the execution of a project, and maximization of both their benefits and their chances of winning the contract for which they intend to tender.

    Na polskim rynku stopniowo poprawia się jakość wyposażenia rolnictwa w zakresie urządzeń do produkcji mleka surowego. Zwiększa się liczba dojarek mechanicznych przewodowych (rurociągowych) i hal udojowych. Jak wykazały badania przeprowadzone na grupie ekspertów (wyselekcjonowanych producentów mleka surowego), spośród wielu czynników ekonomiczno-technicznych jakość jest najważniejszym czynnikiem wyboru urządzenia udojowego podczas zakupu.
    The quality of equipment for raw milk production, available on Polish market for the farmers, is gradually improving. There is increasing the variety of modern pipline milking machines, milking parlours as well as the milk cooling equipment. The study carried out on a group of experts (specialised dairy farmers) showed that from among many technical and economic factors affecting decision making on the choice of milking equipment for purchase, the most important appears the quality of products available on the market.

    Opis:
    Strategic planning and development is a critical yet often overlooked issue in company's operations. The planning of development as well as addressing the distribution of available resources should be done systematically rather than instinctively however, many companies still do not have any reliable method that would facilitate the decision making processes at their disposal. This article aims at presenting the innovative analytical method- Balanced Critical Factor Index (BCFI) for addressing the need for change in company's operational strategy according to changes in available technology and knowledge. By examining a wide array of indexes, the presented method is expected to suggest the directions of development. The presented method also addresses the challenges of the complex process of decision-making. Moreover, the empirical evidence gathered in the studied case company serves as a source of important feedback regarding the further improvement of the BCFI method.

    Opis:
    This study demonstrates utilization of Sense and Respond method for developing operations within housing markets by Critical Factor Index (CFI) having influence even on the strategic business performance. CFIs of knowledge intensive businesses can be measured and dynamically developed by Sense & Respond philosophy [1]. The purpose is to evaluate operative business performance in two quite different cases within quite big real estate businesses in Finland. For example, relationships with the customers, processes and possibilities for growth internally by different groups of respondents, 'hosting', 'management' and 'rent', were compared between the cases. One case company has a lot of more social housing compared to another. The work aims at finding out and understanding similarities and differences in business processes by Balanced Score Card (BSC) and by much more operations oriented OP questionnaires, and by deeper interviews in the case companies as well. BSC questionnaire has been supported by an important part of trust related factors as well. We could find similarities like: openness, customer, communication between different departments and hierarchy levels, utilizing different types of organizing systems; adaptation to knowledge and technology, utilizing different types of organizing systems. A new method for dynamic resource allocations in the operative processes in housing, especially in renting, where the customers move from one apartment to another one, has been proposed, it was validated and verified by weak and semi strong market tests in two quite big but different case companies. The preliminary but promising findings can be applicable for the whole market.

    a statistical study is carried out on the basis of information of marine traffic accidents occurred from 1996 to 2005 on the Bohai Sea. The time distribution and geographic distribution of the marine traffic accidents, as well as the relationships between the accidents and weather condition, type of accidents area, accident category, size of ships are analyzed, which provide references for adopting safety decision-making and take relative precautionary measures to avoid and decrease occurrence of accidents.

    Konsekwencją błędnej oceny ryzyka w sytuacji drogowej jest błąd człowieka.     Human error is a consequence of incorrect risk assessment in driving a car. In the performance of drivers of emergency vehicles, it is especially important that decision are taken at an optimum risk level. This paper provides an introductory orientation to risk management in driving an emergency vehicle. The purpose of risk management is to emphasize the decision making process can use to minimize risk. Thus risk management provides techniques for maximizing safety and possible support for drivers in managing risk and errors.

W ramach tego zagadnienia przedstawiają zasadnicze, charakterystyczne dla kolejnych generacji szkoleń CRM, zmiany w zakresie i w sposobie ich prowadzenia.
    In this paper, the authors describe, against the backdrop of threats to the safety of aviation operations, the reasons why training in Crew Resource Management (CRM) came to exist and its nature, essence and purposes. Furthermore, the authors have covered the evolution of said training along with many factors that shaped this process. In making the presentation, the authors have focused on the solutions implemented in commercial air transport around the world. As part of this topic, they indicate the basic and generation-specific changes in the scope and manner of conducting the CRM trainings.
