Opis:
The article is an invitation to discuss the way of understanding human development as an actualization of individual’s potential. I present two opposite approaches to this particular problem: human development as choosing preferable potentials and also as striving to actualization of, in some way, every potential, especially these which concern the uniqueness of an individual. In the following parts of the article I locate the problem of human potential in three main discourses regarding: 1) human nature and its origin, 2) the possibility of full experience of individual lifespan 3) the possibility of influence through people on the content and the form of their actualizing potential. To the latter and strictly practical issue I pay most attention. I formulate five thesis regarding this issue. They may, in my opinion, be a starting point to discuss the general problem mentioned above. Therefore, they encourage to think about the mechanism of human development and the future environment of his life.

Artykuł zawiera charakterystykę geograficzną regionu Pienin, będącą materiałem wprowadzającym do zajęć tere-nowych o profilu przyrodniczym na poziomie akademickim. W pierwszej kolejności przedstawiono lokalizację regionu i jego podział na mikroregiony. Następnie scharakteryzowano poszczególne komponenty środowiska przyrodniczego, czyli budowę geologiczną, rzeźbę terenu, warunki klimatyczne, stosunki wodne, pokrywę glebową, szatę roślinną i faunę. W dalszej części, na tle środowiska naturalnego przeanalizowano działalność człowieka, skutkującą rozwojem krajobrazów kulturowych. Zaprezentowany w artykule opis regionu Pienin może być materiałem przykładowym i pomocniczym w konstrukcji charakterystyk innych regionów.
The paper comprises geographic characteristics of Pieniny region which is introductory material for field classes at university level. First, localization of the region was depicted and its division into microregions. Next, particular components of natural environment i.e. geological structure, land relief, climatic conditions, water relations, soils, vegetation and fauna were characterized. In the next part, human activity was discussed, against the background of natural environment, which results in development of cultural landscapes. The presented description of Pieniny, in the paper, may be exemplary and auxiliary material for the construction of characteristics of other regions.

The article compares the cultural environment of Ukraine, Romania, and the United States based on Hofstede model quantifies the threats and opportunities of the cultural environment based on the list of factors: a tendency to centralization, common management style, the importance of status, importance of relations in negotiations, labor mobility, conflict resolution, modesty, perception of inequality, tolerance to new ideas, the importance of strict rules in business, short-term benefits, confidence in one's views, attitude to pleasure, social norms. A comparative analysis of business etiquette of the studied countries on seven positions: greetings, personal space, gift exchange, business cards, building relationships, negotiation, and punctuality is presented in the article.

Aim. The purpose of the research is to develop and substantiate a theoretical model for the formation of a professional culture of finance students. Methods. The authors used a set of interrelated methods: comparative analysis, comparison and synthesis, appropriate for modelling professional culture as a pedagogical phenomenon, and functional-structural analysis for systematisation of the stages of building the professional culture. A theoretical model of professional culture has been designed and validated. This model consolidates research from studies of motivation, cognitive sciences, organisational behaviour, and values in educational and financial institutions and lays the foundations of finance students’ professional culture formation methodology. Results. The obtained results showed  positive dynamics in the formation components (motivational, creative, organisational and axiological) of the theoretical model of professional culture development. Our findings confirmed that the cultural and educational environment encourages students’ engagement in learning, boosts the development of their motivational and semantic sphere, ensuring the implementation of individual learning trajectories. Conclusion. The complex of methods implemented evidences the educational, cultural, and innovative potential of the college for training and students’ personal and professional development. The structure of the professional culture development model for finance students has driven a reconsideration of the content of their professional training, generation and dissemination of novel methods and technologies. Practical implementation. The research has resulted in changes to the vocational training programmes for college finance students, the introduction of  teaching methods for professional disciplines that proved their efficiency, and development of cooperation with banking institutions, financial and insurance companies.

Opis:
The article examines how EU policies influence regulatory objectives related to digital switchover in Hungary, a relatively typical Central and Eastern European member state. From this perspective we evaluate the significance of the issue of digital switchover in the context of the general EU policy promoting the development of information society. In the light of the development of the European regulatory background we describe and evaluate the steps of the Hungarian regulator taken so far with the purpose of promoting digitisation. We also describe the institutions and the procedure of tendering the frequencies for digital broadcasting, that are based on a balance of political control and administrative procedures. The description may contribute to the identification of the definitive drivers behind the regulatory steps taken towards digital switchover at the national level. Beyond that, it also provides a (possible) explanation of the sudden advance of telecommunications law and tele- communications regulators to the detriment of media regulation and media authorities in this issue.

Opis:
The paper deals with the different discourses of ecology, including creative ecology, in the context of sustainable development. The author presents a classification of the ecological discourses as follows: meta-ecology, area ecology, educational ecology, linguistic ecology, ecology of novelty, technological ecology, epistemological ecology, approach ecology, political ecology, and ecology of visuality. Additionally, every branch of ecology has been divided into 3 sub-branches. According to the author, ecology has become a problem only after human activity has started to threaten for the very human environment including natural and ipso facto for human being, i.e. for social sustainable development. The extension of ecology discourse could be treated as the result for both of the mania of nature protection and of invasion of cultural area into natural one. The ecological discourses are also often incommensurable, since they stem from very different scientific rims despite analogous terms (ecology) and approaches (environmental). Even in the cases when they do not deal with the nature and natural environment, the laws of nature and the relationships between the organisms within it, serve as a model for an ecological discourse. Some features are characteristic for different discourses of ecology: 1) reference to certain environment; 2) suggested protection of a natural or cultural area; 3) systematic approach; 4) the attitude that the parts of a system are fighting for their survival like the organisms in the nature; 5) dynamic approach towards both the system and its parts under the evolution; 6) conviction that the human activity should be regulated and limited. Creative ecology could be treated both: as a branch in ecology of novelty and as a kind of meta-discourse, since every discourse requires creative thinking.
Artykuł omawia różne dyskursy ekologiczne, włącznie z ekologią kreatywną, w kontekście zrównoważonego rozwoju. Przedstawiono klasyfikację dyskursów ekologicznych uwzględniając: meta-ekologię, ekologię przestrzeni, edukację ekologiczną, ekologię lingwistyczną, nową ekologię, ekologię techniczną, ekologię epistemologiczną, ekologię polityczną i ekologię wizualną. Ponadto w ramach każdej z wymienionych dyscyplin ekologii wydzielono 3 subdyscypliny. Zdaniem autora, ekologia stała się problemem, gdy ludzka aktywność zaczęła zagrażać środowisku i ipso facto samemu człowiekowi, w tym społecznemu filarowi rozwoju zrównoważonego. Rozszerzenie dyskursu ekologicznego bywa traktowane jako odchylenie ochrony środowiska i inwazja sfery kultury w sferę natury. Dyskursy ekologiczne są zwykle niewspółmierne, ponieważ wywodzą się z różnych nauk, pomimo analogicznych terminów (ekologia) i podejść (do środowiska). Jednakże, nawet w przypadku gdy nie dyskutują one przyrody i środowiska naturalnego, praw natury i relacji pomiędzy organizmami – i tak służą za model dyskursu ekologicznego. Można wskazać tu na cechy charakterystyczne dla różnych dyskursów: 1) odniesienie do środowiska; 2) sugerowana ochrona naturalnej lub kulturowej przestrzeni; 3) podejście systematyczne; 4) przekonanie, że części systemu walczą o swe przetrwanie w sposób analogiczny do organizmów w przyrodzie; 5) dynamiczne podejście wobec zarówno systemu, jak i jego podlegających ewolucji części; 6) przekonanie, że ludzka działalność powinna podlegać regulacji i być ograniczona. Kreatywną ekologię można traktować zarówno jako dziedzinę nowej ekologii, jak i rodzaj meta-dyskursu wymagającego kreatywnego myślenia.

Este artículo trata el tema de la competencia cultural en la didáctica del español como lengua extranjera en el entorno virtual. En él se presenta el término cultura, se habla de la interculturalidad y se muestran unos ejemplos prácticos de cómo enseñar la cultura en el aula virtual. El objetivo del artículo es diferenciar los tipos de cultura y analizar las distintas maneras de usarlos en el aula de español como lengua extranjera al trabajar con los estudiantes del nivel umbral.
W artykule poruszono problematykę kompetencji kulturowej w nauczaniu języka hiszpańskiego jako obcego w formie nauczania zdalnego. Poddano analizie termin kultury, międzykulturowości i omówiono kilka praktycznych przykładów nauczania kultury w wirtualnej klasie. Celem artykułu jest analiza różnych sposobów wykorzystania elementów kulturowych na zajęciach z języka hiszpańskiego jako języka obcego w pracy ze studentami rozpoczynającym naukę tego języka (A1 – A2/B1).
This article deals with the issue of cultural competence in the teaching of Spanish as a foreign language in the virtual environment. It presents the term ‘culture’, deals with interculturality, and shows some practical examples of how to teach culture in the virtual classroom. The objective here is to differentiate the types of culture and analyze the different ways to use them in Spanish as a foreign language classroom when working with students at the threshold level (A1–A2/B1).

The migration phenomenon always entails various consequences. There is a large sensitivity and understanding of this phenomenon within the interest and care of the Catholic Church. The current external and internal tendencies creating circumstances leading to isolation of migrants and marginalizing their presence, should be, in accordance with the teaching of the Church, overcome so that everyone, especially the young immigrants, could come to terms with his new environment, new country and culture, so that he will be able to realize his life plans and devote his time to those who constitute his new social network within the Christian community. The Catholic Church in Sweden, among its many initiatives and suggestions, tries, with different effects, to create a suitable climate for young immigrants’ integration anticipating it being the right way of building a Catholic community in a society indoctrinated by environments hostile to culture, history and catholic tradition and of the Catholic Church. The following article is an attempt to present the initiatives of the Catholic Church in Sweden in their efforts to achieve cultural integration of young immigrants with the help of Sveriges Unga Katoliker (Swedish Young Catholics) organization within its own activities and by way of cooperation with parishes and national missions

Constantly changing environmental conditions lead to the necessity of regular updates, enhancements, and adaptation of existing approaches to the investigation of the development of societies that live in different territories. As a result, the purpose of the paper is to identify the main social factors of effective system formation of the social vital activity at the present stage of development of the territories, which have unstable socio-economic and political environment. Specific trends, reflecting the state of social and economic processes in the countries of the evolving political and legal system are considered (on the example of Donetsk region). Parameters defining the socio-cultural component of society of formation are determined: level of development of education, medicine, social infrastructure facilities, the environmental aspects, the social hierarchy and relationships in the community, the criminal and military risks, the demographic trends, the level of unemployment and informal employment. The authors carried out an expert assessment of the importance of factors of formation of system of the vital activity of society. A set of recommendations for coordinated impact on the economic and social processes in the conditions of transforming market system was proposed as a result of the research.

The main purpose of the article is to try and locate the meeting points, but also the substantial discrepancies developed in the course of history, the aesthetics which devises its own notion of landscape and the empirical sciences, humanist geography in particular, which resorts to a broader understanding, incorporating it into the notion of environment. By drawing upon the Renaissance idea of landscape, I point to three factors: landscape painting along with the perspective, theatre and the development of cartography, which significantly contributed to the evolution of an aesthetic notion of landscape. The environmental aesthetics may however play a conciliatory role between the traditional, aesthetic presentation and the standpoint of humanist geography, if one takes into account the assumptions of the latter in terms of shaping the renewed cultural notion of landscape.

Aim. The aim of the article is to reveal gender realisation peculiarities in English and German advertising texts. The concept of the research work is focused on the idea that representatives of different languages and cultures make unique world environment. The work proves the concept validity of the unique language nature in the distinctive idea of its cognitive base formed by an ethnic group. Methods. The concepts of universality and uniqueness of the linguistic and cultural features of gender perception are revealed using the methods of analysis and generalisation. Results. The result of the research work is in the necessity for advertising texts to have special gender language markers which are the kind of signal influencing the conscience of men and women while making purchases. The authors stress that social characteristics of men and women, such as age, social or family status expressed in the form of various degrees of comparison of adjectives are used mainly in English magazines; while German advertising texts put the use of adjectives and articles on the first place. Advertising for women have the set of a special expressive and emotional language tools complex while for men the use of vocabulary stressing the main type of activity of a man - energy is of the top priority. Conclusion. The research work presents cognitive value in theory and practical recommendations to gender linguistics specialising in advertising texts structure illustrating peculiar features of men and women as consumers being influenced by language, cultural, psychological characteristics.

Among the tested methods of valorisation for recreation the analysis in terms of usefulness for recreational investment or attractiveness of recreation play a leading role (they relate to areas of highest natural values). There are many partial methods for assessing the usefulness of areas for recreation (or tourism) dependent on spatial scale, degree of assessment generalization and professional orientation of the author. For urban areas or regions the role of the diversity of the geographical environment and communication accessibility of the area (the planning and spatial aspect,) stands out in the foreground. In studies on a local scale assessments of the resilience and health properties of the natural environment (the physiographic or phytosociological aspect) or following the needs of the people (the social aspect) are becoming more important. The new issue is a orientation of the conservational valorisation methods on determining of the recreation suitability of the cultural landscape of cities. The proper assessment of the recreation usefulness of historical areas needs by author to develop an indirect method, in which the analysis of the individual components of the geographical environment would impose usage patterns, taking into account the investment and spatial availability of areas, and natural and cultural values as elements of co-creating a harmonious landscape. Also the economic factors affecting the value of the land, and so far included occasionally have been subjected to a more detailed evaluation. The developed method of assessing the recreation usefulness of complex structures of the cultural landscape was based on the analysis of fortification works, preserved in the spatial structure of Warsaw. The method is based on the selected subgroups of criteria: primary- determining the recreation functions (the possibility of the introduction of recreational functions); secondary - determining the type of recreation. The primary criteria determine the current investment availability of areas and depend mainly on the way of development and use, ownership structure and purpose in the planning records. The secondary criteria determine the values of the area in terms of program and type of recreational behaviors.

Opis:
This article is an introduction to the discussion on the essence of teaching methodology and the changes in its forms in contemporary culture. Two approaches to methodology are proposed: as a socially collective praxis, often unconsciously drawing on cultural practices, and as a so-called expert methodology – a collection of patterns of proper execution, which are a manifestation of the power/knowledge relation in the fi eld of education. Psychology and cognitive science reports confirm that expert methodology is now losing its theoretical justification. The adoption of the concept of cultural (archetypal) methodology gives a chance of a deeper change in the practice of education, whose avant-garde are the concepts of the “reversed class” and of learning as a “dispersed” study, which consists of: equipment, material environment, and network interactions.
