    Opis:
    Both scientific journals and academic books present many warehouse designing methods. This diversity shows differences in approach to designing process. This is a consequence of the fact that methods are results of authors' different points of view. A critical review of the literature proves that most of the proposed designing methods are fragmentary and their designing steps are not put in a logical order. Finally some methods seem to be functional specification rather than designing methods. Therefore it is highly desirable to achieve systematisation of existing methods, to add new facets and aspects of warehouse designing and consequently try to develop a unified method. The literature review of the problem led to a critical review of the warehouse designing methods. It is precisely described in the paper. The critical review resulted in answering the question whether to develop the new method or not.

    The demand that the public sphere, including culture, should be depoliticized after the transformations which took place in 1989 has proved to be baseless. Polish writers were challenged with the task of describing the events from Polish history and the political, social, cultural and economic changes that were taking place. Literature made an attempt to review the previous system and this issue seemed to be interesting for writers with both conservative and leftist views. One of the authors who delve into this kind of political novel is Bronisław Wildstein, whose artistic work has been imbued with political disputes in which he speaks out forcefully. It is not a cliché to call the novels of this writer and columnist fictionalized political manifestos. Wildstein unwaveringly raises the issues of history and politics as the things which determine our lives. Simultaneously, he refers to the tradition of prose analyzing the responsibility for public events. The writer tries to critically review the Polish People’s Republic (PRL) and its myths (including the Solidarity myth). Moreover, among the subjects frequently discussed one may find media policy and the world of politics from the inside.

    Subject to analysis in this article is the genre status of Ignacy Pietraszewski’s works commenting upon Collectanea by Józef Sękowski. The former work by Pietraszewski is a press edition of Sprostowania niektórych tłumaczeń z tureckiego [Corrections of Some Translations from Turkish] (1845), while the latter is an expanded, book edition of Corrections…, entitled Nowy przekład dziejopisów tureckich [A New Translation of Turkish History Writers] (1846). A research question asked in the article is to what extent Pietraszewski’s comments on Sękowski oeuvre is a case of translation or a case of translation criticism. Drawing upon the stylistic features of both works by Pietraszewski, their evaluative and judgmental lexis and their dialogical nature, the author decided that these works are critical reviews of Sękowski’s Collectanea. The reviews display an ostesibly marked polemical aspect. They contain evaluation of the target text and they mark a breach of the text-type canon by incorporating a didactic component.

Thanks to a critical reading of the various marketing-management theories, we have been able to set up a toolbox composed of tools that allow us to set up a monitoring system to better understand one’s market, territorial planning tools, tools for effective activity management, Tools for action and, finally, a presentation of the various tools in service of a sound and well-founded territorial communication. This article is likely to constitute a practical booklet for public actors to successfully and easily carry out a Territorial Marketing strategy.

    Полазећи од промишљања постструктуралистичког приступа курикулуму, концеп- туализације детета и терминолошких недоумица, потом проматрајући карактеристи- ке и недоумице у вези са применом пројектног приступа у предшколском васпитању и местом развоја говора у њему, текст указује на кључне промене у предшколском сис- тему у Републици Србији. Анализа на поменутим нивоима показаће основне врлине и евентуалне недостатке програма у покушају да конструктивно учествује у његовој успешнијој примени и конкретизацији.
    The focus of this text is set on the concept of educational work that was presented within the recently adopted Fundamentals of the preschool curriculum ‘The years of ascension’ (2018). The emphasis is put on the analysis of theoretical foundations, terminology, educational tendencies, and the question of the initial education of preschool teachers in Serbia. This recently adopted curriculum is based on the contemporary curricular theories, theoreti- cal principles of the pedagogical and developmental psychology, sociology, anthropology, and other disciplines. The concept of childhood, and mainly of the child, is based on the sociocultural theories and poststructuralism. Even though this approach can be seen as modern in the context of educational work in Serbia, the curriculum seems to lack a stronger demonstration of the scope and limitations of foundations that are based on poststructuralism, as well as the socio-political conditionality that supports the designation of these foundations. In this respect, even the framework that this programme is based on (the UN and the EU documents) is not supported with the critical insight into the particularity of the national framework it was created for. The significant part of the curriculum is dedicated to the representation of socio-cultural conceptions of childhood. The children are seen as the ‘the playful beings’ and the game as their natural relationship with the world. The project approach and the complex definition of the concept of child’s wellbeing are the core of ‘The years of ascension’. The important characteristic of the new curriculum is the introduction of a large number of new terms that can be regarded as an update and a starting point for new approaches to the problem. The possible drawbacks of the mentioned viewpoints pertain to: 1) the insufficiently specified awareness that the idea of the child represented in the curriculum is only one of many possible ideas, (2) the contradicting definition of the idea of wellbeing (with the accent on the problem with defining the correlation between safety and flexibility in educational work), (3) the possible doubts regarding the usage of certain terms (we studied the idea of authenticity, as well as the strong opposition to spontaneity in co-construction of knowledge in the process of planning the learning situations).The presence of binary simplifications in the curriculum carries with itself a possibility that every attempt to reassess and relativize the values of opposing elements can easily be marked as regressive (even if it is not), if one element has a positive value and the other one has a negative value (which is often the case in the curriculum). Little significance given to the proper preparation of pre-school teachers is regarded as a serious problem. Moving the focus away from the concrete knowledge and professional care for the developmental aspects of child’s character could easily be interpreted as the abandonment of these concepts rather than their perception in a new light – the light of decomposition and co-construction of knowledge. The newly adopted concept of foundations suggests that the competence of preschool teachers will expand and include a series of pedagogical and psychological skills and knowledge at the expense of the foundation of their competence in those sciences that form the basis of development areas (that should be encouraged with children). In contrast to this attitude, we should not forget that the academic knowledge of preschool teachers, as well as their own inquisitiveness and their willingness to learn and to explore, represents the foundation for the creative approach to preschool educational practice that aspire to timely answer the children’s inquisitiveness and to encourage their interest in better understanding of themselves and the world around them. The long-term intention of preschool education should be to develop the need for education as the integral part of both the children’s and the teachers’ characters, and keeping up with these directions (speaking competence, early literacy, etc) would increase if the key aspect of children’s character development would be operationalised and defined with standards.

    Opis:
    Geological classification of the rocky landslides in the Polish Flysch Carpathians is rather oversimplified and incorrectly used. This is especially the case of the "structural landslide" type and related terminology, which are too often used by researchers also for description of landslides which are not displaced along structural discontinuities developed in strongly anisotropic flysch rock massifs. Such an approach has been used by a number of authors and is the reason why deep-seated landslides were commonly incorrectly characterized and classified as "structural" ones. The studies of the Carpathian rocky landslides recently conducted by the author with the use of tectonic analysis, confirmed occurrence of all the types of mass movements including toppling, lateral spreading, translational and rotational and compound slides and rock flow as well as the complex landslide which represents the combined type of various gravitational displacements according to the classification of International Geotechnical Societies'UNESCO Working Party on World Landslide Inventory. In the light of this classification, the structural landslide represents only one type of these phenomena, i.e. translational landslide. In the article, the author tries to elaborate proper definition and description of the "structural landslide" criteria sensu Kleczkowski (1955) and Bober (1984).

    Turystyka niepełnosprawnych jako forma działalności osób z niepełnosprawnością może być istotnym środkiem terapeutycznym kompensującym stan niepełnosprawności i przyspieszającym proces integracji społecznej. W polskiej literaturze przedmiotu, ukazującej się od lat 70., dominują prace o charakterze ogólnym i przeglądowym. W pracach podejmowane są zwłaszcza badania nad rolą turystyki w życiu niepełnosprawnych, badania wybranych uwarunkowań udziału osób niepełnosprawnych w turystyce, analizy polityki turystycznej, strategii, planów i perspektyw związanych z niepełnosprawnymi. Część prac dotyczy badania społecznych skutków turystyki niepełnosprawnych, a także zagadnień ekonomicznych związanych z marketingiem i usługami turystycznymi. Praca ma charakter przeglądowy (przegląd literatury), dominuje w niej analiza porównawcza literatury. Autor starał się dokonać przeglądu w sposób całościowy obejmując publikacje w języku polskim. W pracy zastosowano metodę analizy i krytyki piśmiennictwa.
    Tourism of handicapped people as a form of activities of impaired persons may be an important therapeutic means compensating the state of handicap and accelerating the process of social integration. In the Polish subject literature, being published since the 1970s, there prevail studies of the general and overview nature. In those studies, there is primarily undertaken research on the role of tourism in the life of the handicapped, surveys of the selected determinants of participation of impaired persons in tourism, analyses of the tourist policy, strategies, plans, and perspectives related to the handicapped. Some of studies concern research of the social effects of tourism of handicapped people as well as the economic issues connected with marketing and tourist services. The study is of the overview nature (overview of literature); there prevails a literature comparative analysis. The author tried to carry out a review in a complex way covering publications in the Polish language. In his study, he applied the method of literature analysis and critical review.
    Туризм инвалидов как форма деятельности инвалидов может быть существенным терапевтическим средством, компенсирующим состояние инвалидности и ускоряющим процесс социальной интеграции. В польской литературе предмета, выходящей в свет с 70-ых годов XIX в., преобладают труды общего и обзорного характера. В трудах в особенности предпринимаются исследования о роли туризма в жизни инвалидов, изучение избранных обусловленностей участия инвалидов в туризме, анализы туристической политики, стра- тегии, планов и перспектив, связанных с инвалидами. Часть трудов касается социальных последствий туризма инвалидов, а также экономических вопросов, связанных с маркетингом и туристическими услугами. Труд имеет обзорный характер (обзор литературы), в нем преобладает сопоставительный анализ литературы. Автор старался провести обзор комплек- сным образом, учитывая публикации на польском языке. В работе применен метод анализа и критики литературы.

    Opis:
    In India, a number of opencast mines are being worked over the coal pillars developed by underground bord and pillar method of mining. In these cases, the fires have occurred in most of these opencast mines causing loss of the coal reserve, production, productivity and safety. In this research work, 13 such mines have been studied over a period of three years and critical parameters for occurrence of these fires have been identified. This paper presents the details of observations for two such mines and detailed statistical analyses have been carried out by using confidence interval (C.I.) and analysis of variance (ANOVA-Two-way classification) for finding out the range of these critical parameters which can be controlled to reduce the occurrence of these fires.
    W wielu kopalniach odkrywkowych w Indiach wydobycie prowadzi się w wyrobiskach ponad filarami ochronnymi udostępnianymi przy wykorzystaniu metody filarowo-komorowej. W takich warunkach powstające często w kopalniach pożary powodują utratę zasobów węglowych, zmniejszenie wydajności i poziomu wydobycia oraz negatywnie wpływają na bezpieczeństwo pracy. W artykule tym przeanalizowano przypadki 13 kopalni odkrywkowych na przestrzeni trzech lat, zidentyfikowano krytyczne parametry dla określenia możliwości wystąpienia pożaru. Artykuł przedstawia dokładne obserwacje poczynione w dwóch kopalniach, poparte szczegółową analizą statystyczną z zastosowaniem przedziałów ufności i analizy wariancji (ANOVA - klasyfikacja dwukierunkowa) do określenia wartości parametrów krytycznych w celu zminimalizowania ryzyka wystąpienia pożarów.

    Background: Systematic literature reviews (SLRs) have become a standard practice as part of software engineering (SE) research, although their quality varies. To build on the reviews, both for future research and industry practice, they need to be of high quality. Aim: To assess the quality of SLRs in SE, we put forward an appraisal instrument for SLRs. Method: A well-established appraisal instrument from research in healthcare was used as a starting point to develop the instrument. It is adapted to SE using guidelines, checklists, and experiences from SE. The first version was reviewed by four external experts on SLRs in SE and updated based on their feedback. To demonstrate its use, the updated version was also used by the authors to assess a sample of six selected systematic literature studies. Results: The outcome of the research is an appraisal instrument for quality assessment of SLRs in SE. The instrument includes 15 items with different options to capture the quality. The instrument also supports consolidating the items into groups, which are then used to assess the overall quality of an SLR. Conclusion: The presented instrument may be helpful support for an appraiser in assessing the quality of SLRs in SE.

    Purpose – This article aims to review critical thinking (CT) as a future skill in business. Design/methodology/approach – The study employed two research methods: science mapping analysis based on bibliometric keyword co-occurrence data and systematic literature review following PRISMA guidelines. The application of two distinctive research methods meant that we could obtain a broad picture thematic overview as well as a detailed, fine-grained insight into the content of CT business research. Findings – Research in CT in business studies is dominated by themes related to education, university and learning that far outweigh CT business application, which focuses on three research axes. These are specific business functions (e.g. accounting, marketing, human resources and identifying business opportunities), certain skills used in business (e.g. decision-making and creativity) and other business-related topics (including ethics, stakeholder relations and individual employee performance). Practical implications – The article identifies new research gaps related to the link between CT and business performance, a firm’s ability to innovate and company characteristics. Moreover, the article highlights that CT positively influences business decision-making under the influence of cognitive biases and heuristics. Originality/value – The article provides the first literature review on CT in business research. It uses a novel method of science mapping analysis to show unbiased algorithmic-based insight into the structure of the research, followed by a systematic literature review.

    Departures is the introductory volume to the interdisciplinary field of Critical Refugee Studies, written by the Critical Refugee Studies Collective and published by the University of California Press. Its manifold nature is made explicit by the title itself, intended both as an allusion to the action of leaving and to that of deviating from a regular path. Highly readable and sharp-edged, tailor-made for an audience that includes (and transcends) colleges and universities, this text will likely find its way into many class syllabi and reading lists. Located at the crossroads of theory and resistance, advocacy and academia, Departures oozes rage, energy, and optimism, and is unapologetically political. The field of Critical Refugee Studies, the authors state in the “Introduction,” is “a way to seize control of image and narrative, by and for refugees, centered in refugee epistemologies and experiences." As a community-engaged critical field, it postulates the necessity of moving past pre-existing humanitarian narratives and frameworks, exposing the underlying threads that tie militarism and migration, power and memory, empire and race. Channeling Somali British and Palestinian poetry, Syrian visual art, and Vietnamese American independent cinematography, the seven contributors call for new methodologies and approaches, as well as for new stories that go beyond the simple “formula of … escape, despair, and rescue” embedded in mainstream refugee narratives. The book's aim is to break that mold, underscoring the “invisible relations of power that broker how we see and consume the refugee subject”; that is to say, to radically twist the ways in which the latter is defined by the law, by the arts, and by the collective conscious. Bold and provocative, Departures will not fail to spark conversations in the coming years.

Wykładników tej relacji szuka, omawiając aspekt pragmatyczny, kompozycyjny i stylistyczny nowej i popularnej na portalu społecznościowym formy dyskursu krytycznego. Interpretacja narracji mówionej obejmuje omówienie językowych środków wartościowania, wykładników przekazu emocjonalnego oraz funkcji leksyki potocznej. Istotne są również działania językowe mające na celu interakcję z odbiorcami: dialogowość, personalizacja treści, indywidualizacja przekazu. Analiza prowadzi do wniosku, że forma autoprezentacji, typ odbiorcy, kanał przekazu, intencjonalność i heterogeniczność wypowiedzi ściśle wiążą się z relacjami społecznymi zachodzącymi między uczestnikami zdarzenia komunikacyjnego. Nowa forma prezentacji i oceny filmu wiąże się bowiem z wejściem w inną sytuację komunikacyjną oraz z nawiązaniem nowych relacji społecznych z grupą odbiorców. Celem jest nie tylko ocena dzieła filmowego, ale również przekazanie emocji, dialog z widzem, zainteresowanie nowym dziełem, kształtowanie gustów oraz pozyskanie dużego grona odbiorców. Tak rozbudowany cel musi prowadzić do zmiany językowych środków przekazu.
    The author of this article analyses the texts of a video review and tries to answer the question of whether the choice of linguistic devices is linked to the relationship between the sender and the participants of the interaction. The indicators of this relationship are sought by discussing the pragmatic, compositional and stylistic aspect of a new and popular form of critical discourse on a social networking site. The interpretation of the spoken narrative includes a discussion of the linguistic means of evaluation, the determinants of the emotional message and the functions of colloquial lexis. Linguistic activities aimed at interaction with the recipients, such as dialogicality, the personalisation of content and the individualisation of the message, are also important. The analysis leads to the conclusion that the form of self-presentation, type of recipient, channel of communication, and intentionality and heterogeneity of the statements are closely related to the social relations between the participants of the act of communication. The new form of presentation and evaluation involves entering a different communication situation and establishing new social relations with a group of recipients. The aim is not only to evaluate the film work, but also the conveyance of emotions, the dialogue with the viewer, the interest in a new work, the shaping of tastes and the attracting of a large audience. Such an elaborate goal inevitably leads to a change in linguistic devices.

    Opis:
    Change readiness at organizational level is a key competence needed for Industry 4.0 readiness, and one of the most important critical success factors for managers in implementing Industry 4.0 initiatives. Methods: This paper conducts a critical literature review of 184 peer-reviewed academic journals and industry reports from 1990 to 2019, and identifies 30 Industry 4.0 readiness models. Results: A closer review of dimensions from these Industry 4.0 readiness models reveal that change readiness as a model dimension has not been sufficiently addressed. Supporting the conceptualization and operationalization of this new dimension, the literature review in this paper presents six change related dimensions, specifically change commitment factor, change efficacy, change management, individual fear of change, organizational change readiness and change leadership. Conclusion: This study after critical analysis of the literature proposes change readiness as a new dimension for Industry 4.0 readiness models. Furthermore, in terms of future research, change readiness as a new dimension for studying Industry 4.0 readiness models offers valuable implications for individuals and organization.
    Gotowość na zmiany na poziomie organizacyjnym jest kluczową kompetencją niezbędna dla gotowości do Industry 4.0 i jedną z najważniejszych krytycznych warunków powodzenia we wdrożeniu inicjatyw związanych z Industry 4.0. Metody: Praca zawiera krytyczny przegląd publikacji 184 pracy podlegających recenzji z czasopism naukowych oraz raportów przemysłowych z okresu 190-2019 identyfikująca 30 modeli gotowości na Industry 4.0. Wyniki: Analiza wymiarów modeli gotowości do Industry 4.0 wykazała, że zmiana gotowości, jako wymiar modelu, nie jest wystarczająco adresowana i eksponowana. W celu wspomożenia zdefiniowania i określenia nowego wymiaru, praca ta na podstawie dokonanego przeglądu literatury, proponuje zmianę sześciu powiązanych wymiarów, w szczególności współczynnika powiązania, skuteczności zmiany, zarządzania zmianą, indywidualna obawa przed zmianą, gotowość na zmianę organizacyjną oraz kierowanie zmianą. Wnioski: W wyniku przeprowadzonej krytycznej analizie literatury, zaproponowano zmianą koncepcji gotowości na Industry 4.0 na nowy wymiary modeli gotowości na zmianę na Industry 4.0. Dodatkowo, w kontekście dalszych badań, zmiana gotowości na zmiany, jako nowy wymiar w analizie modeli gotowości na Industry 4.0 oferuje wartościowe konsekwencje dla jednostek jak również organizacji.
