    The article has been thought as a contribution to the discussion on comprehension of truth within the framework of the domestic jurisprudence. The author, describing philosophical and theoretical assumptions with respect to positivism epistemology indicates - basing on the sources presented in this article - the transformations to which the concept of the so-called ‘objective truth’ was subject and the extent to which various political and social factors influenced the concept mentioned. As he concludes complexity and dynamics concerning transformations of the domestic legal culture, as well as conflicts between the written law and the practice are disclosed in lawyers’ attitude to the truth.

    W artykule analizowane jest pojęcie formy (gr.: eidos, morphe), który leży u podstaw teoretycznej refleksji Arystotelesa. Arystotelesa krytyka Platońskiej koncepcji form była punktem wyjścia do opracowania jego własnej filozofii natury („fizyki”) oraz filozofii bytu w ogóle (metafizyki). Koncepcja form w istocie dostarczyła Arystotelesowi teoretyczne podwaliny dla wszystkich dziedzin badań naukowych, toteż pojęcie formy stało się w jego myśli wszechobecne. Artykuł pokazuje także, jak Arystotelesowskie pojęcie formy jest obecne lub można je wprowadzić do współczesnych debat, m.in. dotyczących poznania zmysłowego i rozumowego, tożsamości oraz tzw. mind-body problem.
    The papers analyses the Aristotelian concept of form (eidos, morphe) which is a basis of Aristotle’s philosophy. Aristotle’s critique of Plato’s conception of forms was for Aristotle a starting point for elaborating his own theory of forms. This theory provided Aristotle with a theoretical equipment applied in all the fields of scientific inquiry. So his concept of form proved to be all-pervasive. The article also deals with some recent debates, concerning the questions of sense and intellectual cognition, the problem of identity, the mind-body problem.

    Celem niniejszego artykułu jest analiza teorii prawdy zawartej w Badaniach logicznych Edmunda Husserla. W swojej analizie wychodzę od szczegółowego opisu warunków możliwości prawdy na gruncie Husserlowskiej aletejologii. Pokazuję, że teoria ta przyjmuje korelację, paralelizm między subiektywnymi a obiektywnymi warunkami możliwości poznania jako warunek możliwości prawdy. Konsekwencją tych analiz jest wyjaśnienie, jak Husserl rozumie założoną w Badaniach korespondencyjną definicję prawdy, a także uzasadnienie tezy, że to rozumienie zakłada ontologiczną definicję prawdy i ideę intelektu niekończonego jako ideał bezpośredniej i wyczerpującej prezentacji przedmiotu poznania. Zaprezentowane przeze mnie wnioski nie stanowią jednak pełnej interpretacji aletejologii Husserla. Powstrzymuję się bowiem od wyciągania metafizycznych konsekwencji z tej teorii, tzn. nie rozstrzygam kwestii realizmu/idealizmu w Badaniach oraz kwestii tego, czy ideę intelektu niekończonego należy rozumieć w określony sposób metafizyczny (np. teistyczny), czy tylko jako ideę regulatywną w sensie Kanta.
    This article aims to analyze the theory of truth contained in Edmund Husserl’s Logical Investigations. In my analysis, I start from a detailed description of conditions of the possibility of truth based on Husserl’s alethiology. I show that his theory assumes correlation, the parallelism between subjective and objective conditions of the possibility of cognition as a condition of truth. Based on this, I explain Husserl’s interpretation of the correspondence definition of truth found in Logical Investigations. I also provide arguments that this interpretation presupposes the ontological definition of truth and the idea of the infinite intellect as the ideal of a direct and exhaustive presentation of the object of cognition. Nonetheless, my conclusions don’t provide a complete interpretation of Husserl’s alethiology because I refrain from drawing metaphysical consequences from it. That is to say, I neither answer the question about realism/idealism in Logical Investigations nor the question of whether the idea of the infinite intellect should be understood in some metaphysical way (e.g. theistic one) or only as a regulative idea in the Kantian sense.

    W niniejszym artykule, po krótkiej (dziesięciopunktowej) charakterystyce klasycznej koncepcji prawdy, wskazuję na jej naukową doniosłość i wszechstronną użyteczność, w tym m.in. na możliwość aplikacji w niektórych środowiskach wirtualnych, np. w odniesieniu do obiektów wirtualnych typu A i typu C. W artykule podkreślam również, iż — niezależnie od wyobrażeń promotorów i fundatorów „epoki postprawdy” (np. woli polityków, propagandystów czy autorów rozmaitych teorii spiskowych) — klasycznie pojęta prawda jest zasadniczo nieusuwalna z dyskursu społecznego, w tym także z filozoficznego i naukowego.
    In this paper, I present a short 10-point characteristics of the classical conception of truth. Subsequently I point to the importance and comprehensive usefulness of this truth, among others, to the possibility of applying it in some virtual environments, e.g., in those which include virtual objects of types A and C. I also emphasize that—independently of views of promotors and creators of the “post-truth era” (e.g. the will of politicians, propagandists and the authors of conspiracy theories)—truth as it is grasped in the classical theory is in principle non-withdrawable from social discourse, including its philosophical and scientific fields.

    The advent of society with its built in idea of progress by collective effort has led to tremendous human growth and development. Our today is more of our planned yesterday rather than by accident of nature. In spite of the vast unknown future before us, our today is largely as planned yesterday. To this extent we can say we know tomorrow taken as our planned and determined-to-achieve future. We know when to guess and make predictions of the future. We also know what we want our future to be and how to work towards realizing it. As humans we keep learning and broadening our horizons. Though today is to a large extent as we planned of it yesterday, we will still find room for improvement. This should not be taken to mean that we did not know today as planned from yesterday. It is human to want something better. So we have knowledge of our planned and determined-to-achieve future events in so far as we do not have at the moment any reason to think otherwise.
