    Opis:
    We chronicle the research on the fusion technology of neural networks and fuzzy systems (NN+FS), the models that have been proposed from this research, and the commercial products and industrial systems that have adopted these models. First, we review the NN+FS research activity during the early stages of their development in Japan, the US, and Europe. Next, following the classifi- cation of NN+FS models, we show the ease of fusing these technologies based on the similarities of the data flow network structures and the non-linearity realization strategies of NNs and FSs. Then, we describe several models and applications of NN+FS. Finally, we introduce some important and recently developed NN+FS patents.

    The global financial crisis of 2008 highlighted the riskiness of the pre-crisis bank model and demonstrated that in many cases the benefits of diversification from traditional banking have been overstated. With countless cases of nationalization or forced takeovers of failing banks, questions have been raised as to the proper size and scope of banking activities. Retail banking carried out by locally-based, small institutions, such as credit unions, mutual savings banks, building societies or cooperative banks, has for years played an important role in local environments, enhancing bank reputation and trust. The financial crisis has highlighted the advantages of alternative business models of banks, aimed not only at maximizing short-term profits but also at the fulfillment of some social objectives; thus the aim of the paper is to analyze the position and challenges for the cooperative banking sector, based on the Polish experience

    Artykuł przedstawia ideę i ruch kooperatyzmu w dziewiętnastowiecznych Niemczech. Autorka wskazuje na inspirację tego ruchu sytuacją społeczno-ekonomiczną tamtego czasu oraz poprzedzającym go ruchem spółdzielczym w Wielkiej Brytanii i we Francji. W Niemczech dominującą formą kooperatyw były banki ludowe Hermanna Schulze-Delitzsch oraz wiejskie kasy pożyczkowo-oszczędnościowe Friedricha Wilhelma Raiffeisena. Autorka koncentruje się na ideowym ich uzasadnieniu oraz na ich odrębnościach wynikających z zakresu działalności oraz form organizacyjnych. Podejmuje także kwestię stawianych celów społecznych ruchu spółdzielczego. Nie jest jej obojętna także rola polityczna obu typów kooperatyw, zwłaszcza w kontekście narodowościowym. W tym ostatnim wypadku zwraca uwagę na rolę spółdzielczości na ziemiach polskich pozostających w zaborze pruskim.
    The article presents the idea and movement of cooperatism in the 19th century in Germany. The author points to the inspirations of this movement in the socio-economic situation of that time and to the preceding cooperative movement in the United Kingdom and France. In Germany, Hermann Schulze-Delitzsch’s people’s banks and Friedrich Wilhelm Raiffeisen’s rural savings and loan associations were the dominant forms of cooperatives. The author focuses on their ideological justification, and on their differences arising from the scope of activity and organizational forms. She also addresses an issue of the social aims of the cooperative movement. What is not indifferent for her is the political role of both types of cooperation, especially in the context of nationality. In the latter case, she points out the role of cooperatives in the Polish territories remaining under Prussian rule in those times.

    Based on the Bressan and Shen approach (Bressan and Shen, 2004; Shen, 2009), we present an extension of the class of non-zero sum differential games for which value functions are described by a weakly hyperbolic Hamilton–Jacobi system. The considered value functions are determined by a Pareto optimality condition for instantaneous gain functions, for which we compare two methods of the unique choice Pareto optimal strategies. We present the procedure of applying this approach for duopoly.

    Opis:
    The paper presents various methods of modeling an individual stock market investors' behavior. The author analyzed the possibility of using approaches related to the theory of expected utility, prospect theory, game theory and other studies on this subject. The article is the result of efforts to create an adequate model in order to investigate the specificity of the decision-making behavior of the so-called individual stock market investors.
    W artykule przedstawiono różne metody modelowania zachowań giełdowych inwestorów masowych. Dokonano analizy możliwości wykorzystania podejść związanych z teorią oczekiwanej użyteczności, teorią perspektyw, z teorią gier oraz inne badania dotyczące tego tematu. Artykuł jest wynikiem prac nad opracowaniem adekwatnego modelu pozwalającego badać specyfikę zachowań decyzyjnych tzw. giełdowych inwestorów masowych.
