Opis:
Many positive behaviours of youth are related to their values. In the field of education value assessment is central. However value expression is often very ambiguous. Therefore in an attempt to measure values with more universal, global, and cross cultural perspectives, Nazam, Husain and Khan (2015) developed a spiritual values scale. The initial validation of the scale was based on item content analysis, item reliability, internal consistency, and exploration of the factorial structure of spiritual values. But values are subjected to change due to many factors. Therefore revalidation of the scale remains an important research consideration. The present study extends the initial validation of the scale by using structure equation modelling to revalidate the dimensionality and reliability of the spiritual values scale. The sample consisted of 300 adolescents. The results suggested that out of 27 items 4 items to measure spiritual values are ineffective. The scale with 23 items still remains a reliable and valid psychological tool to assess the spiritual values of adolescents.

For a map \(\rho\) of \(\mathbb{N}\) into itself, consider the induced transformation \(\sum_{n} x_n \mapsto \sum_{n} x_{\rho_(n)}\) of series in a topological vector space. Then such properties of this transformation as sending convergent series to convergent series, or convergent series to bounded series, or bounded series to bounded series (and a few more) are mutually equivalent. Moreover, they are equivalent to an intrinsic property of ρ which reduces to those found by Agnew and Pleasants (in the case of permutations) and Wituła (in the general case) as necessary and sufficient conditions for the above transformation to preserve convergence of scalar series. In the paper, the scalar case is treated first using simple Banach space methods, and then the result is easily extended to the general setting.

Opis:
The paper presents a new method applicable in determining the settings of PI and PID controllers for models of controlled systems given by the following transfer functions [wzór] and [wzór]. Using the capabilities of computer operations with symbolic variables, the closed system transfer function is expanded into a chain-type fraction, type V (Bultheel, 1978; Khovanskii, 1956; Halawa and Trzmielak-Stanislawska, 1986; Wall, 1973) and the second order convergent method is used as a simplified model. Denominator of this convergent M(s), is the following polynomial [wzór] with coefficients being the functions of controlled system parameters and unknown controller settings. Diagrams of step responses for systems given by second-order transfer functions are well known. Assuming the values of [wzór] and [wzór], we get a set of non-linear equations used to determine controller settings. The set of equations has been determined and resolved by means of Mathematica language which allows calculations with symbolic variables.

Reality mediatization is at present one of the most powerful processes which means new media influence almost all areas of individual and social life, including religious life as well. New media are very effective in occupying time and space and cause great transformation of one's life. Areas which are not unaffected by media influence include also education and religion which in particular way meet during catechesis where we do care about its effectiveness because it conditions one's happiness both earthly and eternal. Didactics is a great art and care about better and more effective teaching-learning process, also in catechesis. Today, in my view, this didactics must be convergent that is combine elements of good, traditional didactics with sensible use of new media which can raise the effectiveness of the process. Such didactics, also in catechesis, should make good use of media because pupils themselves are highly mediatized and thanks to convergent didactics we may address a contemporary man to make him better and happier and eventually, what is the most important aim of catechesis, help him to be redeemed.

Product customization and dynamically changing customer requirements cause multiple versions of the same product to be created with minute modifications, e.g.: different colour, material used, accessories, etc. Adapting to changing tendencies determines the manufacturer`s competitiveness. This article presents the analysis of the flexibility of a complex convergent production structure. The analysis has been conducted using the EPE (Every Part Every…) indicator. To maintain the accuracy of the system`s evaluation, the flexibility determining algorithm has been adjusted to the analyzed cell structure. A flexibility indicator EPE shows the lowest possible frequency at which the rotating production of a batch is repeated. In practice, it informs us after what time we may manufacture the same lot of goods again, taking into account the time necessary for delivering accepted orders. The conclusions from the conducted analyses helped to develop strategic development plans which assumed increasing the volume of the manufactured assortment both in number and variety.

The purpose of this article is to provide a broader characterisation of the media convergence strategy applied by producers of the Polish commercial television station (TVN) series 39 and a half (39 i pół). In order to examine the convergence strategies of production, distribution, promotion and media usage, this paper analyzes metaphors of landscape, terrain, map and simulacrum. Moreover the concept of convergent (inter)text is proposed. In the case study of 39 and a half the author examines three main strategies implemented by the creators: the promotional virtualisation of reality, making virtual reality more real, and multiplied fiction. Transmedial and synergetic brands illustrate the hybridisation of the convergent and integrated media landscape.

A Fractional differential equation is an equation that contains derivatives with an order of fractional numbers. Same with natural number order differential equations, this type of equation is divided into linear and nonlinear fractional differential equations. One of the equations that include nonlinear fractional differential equation is Riccati fractional differential equation (RFDE). Various methods have been applied to find solutions for fractional differential equations Riccati, one of them is the Modified Homotopy Perturbation Method (MHPM) which is a modification of the Homotopy Perturbation Method by Zaid Odibat and Shaher Momani. In this study, the MHPM was used to find solutions for fractional differential equations Riccati, which were then used to analyze the convergence of the function sequences of the solution. The result shows us that the order sequence of Riccati fractional differential equation which converges to a number causes the solution function sequence of Riccati fractional differential equation will converge to the function of the solution of Riccati fractional differential equation with the order of this number.

Continuous innovations of smartphone attributes and increasing product usage call for better understanding of the attributes that matter most to customers. This study employs Kano’s model for classifying smartphone attributes into various categories and examines the infl uence of those attributes on the satisfaction of smartphone users. Based on consumer evaluation of the latest and general smartphone attributes, the analysis in this study indicates various levels of satisfaction and dissatisfaction with each attribute. Specifi cally, our fi ndings reveal merely three categories of Kano’s classifi cation, and ‘one-dimensional’ or performance attributes have higher infl uence on customer satisfaction as compared with ‘attractive’ ones. These findings provide implications for further product improvement efforts to consider not only technological capabilities but also to prioritize the attributes that are highly expected by customers. The majority of the respondents in this study include the younger consumer segment and heavy smartphone users, thus limiting generalization of the results to other contexts. Further research should consider respondents across segments and/or in a specific market, and extend the focus beyond product attributes so a to include user experiences and explicit product benefits.

The article presents the results of research regarding the diagnosis of primary and secondary school students’ abilities in respect of two operations identified by Joy P. The research was conducted on 516 students (323 primary school students and 193 secondary school students; 259 students were boys). In divergent production tests students at all levels of school education (1st and 2nd stage of primary school and secondary school) experienced difficulties with tests requiring the application of non- -standard solutions and new approaches. This tendency grows in the consecutive years of education. Very good results of primary school students as regards convergent production – which involves the ability to combine and synthesize information relevant for the purpose of solving a given problem – do not continue for secondary school students. The age and sex proved to be differentiating factors for the level and properties of learning abilities as regards the abovementioned operations. In all age groups girls scored better than boys. Third grade students achieved the most scores assessed as above average, outstanding and talented.

Many methods and techniques exist for improving the material flow and increasing productivity and efficiency of manufacturing systems. This article discusses a selection of proposals for improving the flow of a convergent manufacturing structure model. The fragmentary results presented are a result of examining the production structures displaying swiftness and flexibility. Due to the final products customization options the discussed line manufactures its range exclusively in the MTO (make – to – order) strategy. For customers of such a structure order execution time is paramount, which is why the main criteria indicating low efficiency were the occurring stoppages.
