Opis:
In the paper, the architecture of a mobile robot cooperating with other robots and some stationary devices in a task of collective perception and world modeling is considered. We present data-driven processing of information performed by an individual robot treated as an agent and we propose to organize it as a set of experts (also treated as agents) exchanging data by means of a blackboard. The roles of particular agents and the structure of the blackboard are described. We analyze the control aspects of the system and the form of control knowledge.

Adolescents’ action control level versus their self-esteem and locus of controlThe aim of this research was to analyse the relationship between adolescents’ self-knowledge (general self-esteem level, self-esteem coherence, self-esteem certainty) and locus of control, on the one hand, and action control level (decision-related action control level – AOD and action control level during performing an activity – AOP) on the other. 119 eighteen-year-old students of two Warsaw secondary schools participated in the study. The methods used to analyse the hypotheses were: 1) M. Tukałło and R. Wiechnik’s Self-Knowledge Inventory, 2) R. Drwal’s Locus of Control Questionnaire “Delta” and 3) J. Kuhl’s Action Control Scale. SPSS pack (Pearson’s ‘r’ correlation method, regression method, Pearson’s partial correlation method) was used for the purpose of statistical analysis. The results of the research point to a statistically signifi cant correlation between self-esteem and decision-related action control as well as between locus of control and decision-related action control. Moreover, the findings demonstrate that locus of control and general self-esteem are not correlated with action control during performing an activity. However, the study confirmed a significant, but not very strong, correlation between action control during performing an activity and global self-esteem, intellectual self-esteem and self-esteem certainty.

Introduction: Thanks to preventive medicine and shaping health behaviors such as habits, customs and attitudes towards health, it is possible to control everyday life civilization threats and new outbreaks of diseases. Purpose: To assess health behaviors and level of knowledge of birth control methods among university students in Bialystok. Materials and methods: A total of 222 students of the Bialystok Polytechnic University and Medical University of Bialystok were recruited. The study used a health behavior catalogue by Juczynski and our own questionnaire. Results: The study showed a high percentage of students with poor knowledge of health behaviors. Students of both universities positively assessed their eating habits, mental attitudes, and preventive behaviors. Students of the Bialystok Polytechnic University showed significantly higher scores concerning proper health behaviors. The most common method of contraception were: condoms and contraceptive pills. Students of Medical University were characterized by significantly higher level of knowledge of birth control methods. The vast majority of respondents derived their knowledge of birth control methods from the internet. Conclusions: The results indicate that it is advisable to introduce preventive actions to the study curriculum in order to facilitate formation of proper habits and health behaviors. The level of knowledge among students of the methods of natural birth control is insufficient. It is important to search for various forms and methods to provide young people with objective information according to the latest research.

The aim of this paper is to present the influence of information technologies (IT) on the organization structure, particularly in the context of virtual organizations’ (VO) development. The work describes examples and new models of virtual organizations. Subject connected with this type of organization is comparatively young and has appeared in the Internet era. Thanks to the development of communication technology enterprises can function in more elastic and competitive way: in innovative virtual forms. This new type of organizations will enlarge their market share. There are possibilities to reduce costs and be more competitive in the same time. Electronic and computer systems make the fundaments of the virtual organization management. Main activities of such organization are: information flow control, planning, production, service, distribution of products, and promotion. In the global economy virtual projects can be perceived as an optimal model of the organization activity. The new organizations are aiming to reinforce their competitive position, as well as to increase the profitability; they have also to take care of the smallest project details, the exact control of costs and optimisation of schedules. Virtual projects and organizations are still not well recognized. New researches should be taken up in this field.

The article presents models of temporal dependences for constructing probabilistic temporal rules in the Markov Logical Networks. Such rules describe the relations between the states of a control object and taking account the possibility of integrating different approaches of management according to the paradigm of «Enterprise 2.0» knowledge sharing. The proposed models define constraints and conditions for changing the states of a control object, which allows predicting possible variants of its behavior in relation to the current state and providing decision support based on a choice of the most likely variants.

The research deals with improvement of methods and systems of controlling integrated power systems (IPSs) on the basis of intellectualization of decision-making support. Complex analysis of large-scale accidents at power facilities is performed, and their causes and damages are determined. There is substantiated topicality of building condition knowledge-bases as the foundation for developing decision-support systems in power engineering. The top priorities of the research include developing methods of building a knowledge base based on intensity models of control actions influencing the parameters of power system conditions and introducing the smart system into information contours of the automated dispatch control system (ADCS), as well as assessing practical results of the research. To achieve these goals, the authors apply methods of experiment planning, artificial intelligence, knowledge presentation, mathematical simulation, and mathematical statistics as well as methods of power systems studying. The basic research results include regression models of a power system sensitivity to control actions, methods of building a knowledge base based on the models of sensitivity matrices, a structure of the smart decision-support system, a scheme of introducing the decision-support system into the operating ADCS environment. The problem of building a knowledge base of the dispatch decision-support system on the basis of empirical data resulted from calculating experiments on the system diagram has been solved. The research specifies practical efficiency of the suggested approaches and developed models.

The present text is an attempt to show the changes taking place in the sub-discipline of sociology of education. The theoretical frame of the discussion includes concepts of Emile Durkheim, Mary Douglas and Stephen Fuchs who emphasize the importance of social conditions for the process of knowledge institutionalization. Analyses carried out in the article aim also at identification of causes of marginalisation of the discussed sub-discipline within sociology as a whole. One of the reasons seems to be identity incohesion resulting from the fact that sociology of education is a shared field of study of both sociology and pedagogy, to mention the two main study contributors.

This paper describes the problems and an adaptive solution for process control in rubber industry. We show that the human and economical benefits of an adaptive solution for the approximation of process parameters are very attractive. The modeling of the industrial problem is done by the means of artificial neural networks. For the example of the extrusion of a rubber profile in tire production our method shows good resuits even using only a few training samples.

Особенностью профессиональной деятельности человека в ХХІ веке стало то, что чело-век терпит не сколько от физических нагрузок, а, в большей мере, от психоэмоциональных. Особенно это касается людей, которые работают в системе «человек-человек», одним из представителей которых есть менеджер. Часто менеджер принимает не совсем рациональные решения. В процессе своей профессиональной деятельности менеджеру приходится делать конкретные выводы, сопоставлять. Но ожидания от принятых решений не всегда оправдыва-ются. Чрезмерные амбиции, ожидание поощрения труда, желание быстрого продвижения по карьерной лестнице возбуждают психоэмоциональную сферу человека. В результате, человек может преодолеть опасную черту, за которой наступает недостаток мотивации, удовольствия в работе, радости от достижений, одним словом, стресс, связанный с профессиональной деятельностью. Синдром, который развивается на фоне хронического стресса, ведет к истощению эмоционально-энергичных и личностных ресурсов работающего человека, провоцирует про-фессиональное выгорание. Профессиональное выгорание возникает в результате внутреннего накопления отрицательных эмоций без «разрядки» или «освобождения» от них.
The article presents the results of the study on stress which has definitely expanded scientific research on the psychological aspect that began a stage of understanding of stress as a psychological category. This is especially true for people working in the system "man-man", among which are the Manager. Often the Manager will take reasonable decisions. In the course of their profes-sional activities the Manager has to make specific findings, to compare. But the expectations from the decisions made are not always met. Burnout usually occurs in modern organizations, although often not considered as a problem of organization. Specific determinants of occupational stress have been described. The aim of this work was to analyze how self-monitoring, strategies to combat professional burnout, job stress and the sociodemographic factors differentiate the level of psychophysical well-being of the officers of the professional activity and what is a predictor of psychophysical well-being in a professional band.
W artykule przedstawiono wyniki badań nad stresem. Rozważania naukowe rozszerzono o aspekt psychologiczny, co ma zainicjować rozumienie stresu jako kategorii psychologicznej. Zagadnienie to dotyczy w szczególności osób, które pracują w ramach systemu określanego jako „człowiek-człowiek”. Jednym z przedstawicieli tej grupy osób jest menedżer. Kierownik często podejmuje nie do końca racjonalne decyzje. W trakcie swojej pracy zawodowej menedżer zmuszony jest podejmować konkretne decyzje, wyciągać wnioski i przewidywać. Oczekiwania względem podjętych decyzji nie zawsze są jednak uzasadnione. Wypalenie zawodowe występuje powszechnie we współczesnych organizacjach, choć najczęściej nie jest rozpatrywane w miejscu pracy jako problem organizacyjny. W artykule opisano specyficzne uwarunkowania stresu zawo-dowego. Celem pracy było przeanalizowanie, w jaki sposób samokontrola, strategie radzenia sobie z wypaleniem zawodowym, stresem zawodowym i czynniki socjodemograficzne różnicują poziom samopoczucia psychofizycznego u realizujących działalność zawodową oraz co jest predyktorem samopoczucia psychofizycznego w tej grupie zawodowej.
