Opis:
W publikacji przedstawiono schematy technologiczne jednostopniowych węzłów ciepłowniczych wspomaganych instalacją kolektorów słonecznych. Przeanalizowano scenariusze ich pracy w zależności od zapotrzebowania na energię, nasłonecznienia oraz charakterystyki pracy instalacji ciepłej wody użytkowej i centralnego ogrzewania. Zaproponowano algorytmy sterowania pracą węzłów, a także określono warunki pracy automatyki regulacyjnej oraz urządzeń wykonawczych.
The publication presents a technological schemes of one-stage district heating substations assisted by solar collector installations. In the paper was presented a scenarios of work of this installations depending on various parameters, including heat energy demand, intensity of solar radiation and characteristics of domestic hot water installation and domestic heating systems. The authors proposes an algorithms of regulation and control of district heating substations and defines a conditions of work of basic regulation subsystems.

This paper presents techniques which base on the concept of flows thinning together with the identification techniques. These methods are proposed to determine the expected number of failures to assess the efficiency of technical diagnostics of instruments. Additionally, this research focuses on the improvement of multi-machine troubleshooting systems, based on the ‘AND-OR’ graphs. Respective algorithms are presented. The majority principle uses the input information to check the correctness of the decision regarding identification of faulty machines. In this paper we base on the complete testing algorithm for elements of multi-computer complexes searching by criteria of failed element.

Opis:
Crashes at isolated rural intersections, particularly those involving vehicles traveling perpendicularly to each other, are especially dangerous due to the high speeds involved. Consequently, transportation agencies are interested in reducing the occurrence of this crash type. Many engineering treatments exist to improve safety at isolated, high-speed, signalized intersections. Intuitively, it is critical to know which safety treatments are the most effective for a given set of selection criteria at a particular intersection. Without a well-defined decision making methodology, it is difficult to decide which safety countermeasure, or set of countermeasures, is the best option. Additionally, because of the large number of possible intersection configurations, traffic volumes, and vehicle types, it would be impossible to develop a set of guidelines that could be applied to all signalized intersections. Therefore, a methodology was developed in this paper whereby common countermeasures could be modeled and analyzed prior to being implemented in the field. Due to the dynamic and stochastic nature of the problem, the choice was made to employ microsimulation tools, such as VISSIM, to analyze the studied countermeasures. A calibrated and validated microsimulation model of a signalized intersection was used to model two common safety countermeasures. The methodology was demonstrated on a test site located just outside of Lincoln, Nebraska. The model was calibrated to the distribution of observed speeds collected at the test site. It was concluded that the methodology could be used for the preliminary analysis of safety treatments based on select safety and operational measures of effectiveness.

This article presents examples of strategies and techniques of learning (from a group of mnemonic devices), which teachers can use, in their work with students, for the purpose of mastering the process of learning (maximising its effectiveness – speed and retention), but also making it more enjoyable and, therefore, motivating for students to undertake further attempts to obtain knowledge. The teacher, as the recipient of the content, has the opportunity to experience the effectiveness of selected memory devices (hence many exercises for the teachers themselves), as well as receives examples of curriculum related mnemonic tasks, which afford the opportunity of utilising given techniques when working with the student.
W artykule zaprezentowano przykładowe strategie i techniki uczenia się (z grupy mnemotechnik), które nauczyciel może wykorzystać w pracy z uczniem w celu doskonalenia procesu uczenia się (zwiększenie jego efektywności – szybkości i trwałości), ale również uczynienia go przyjemniejszym, a przez to bardziej motywującym do podejmowania kolejnych prób związanych z opanowywaniem wiedzy. Nauczyciel – jako odbiorca poniższych treści – otrzymuje możliwość sprawdzenia skuteczności wybranych technik pamięciowych (stąd szereg ćwiczeń) oraz zapoznania się z przykładowymi zadaniami pamięciowymi związanymi z materiałem szkolnym, za pomocą których zostały ukazane możliwości wykorzystania wybranych technik w pracy z uczniem.

The article presents the problem of assessment of the degree of operator training for modern parallel driving system, used in a precision agriculture. The training was conducted for ten potential operators and their skills were rated subjectively after determined number of experimental runs. Data containing information about individual journeys were collected during the training. Then the trajectory errors based on charts illustrating their course were assessed. In conclusion the benefits resulting from analysis were formulated as well as the concept of further research.
Artykuł prezentuje problem oceny stopnia wyszkolenia operatora nowoczesnej nawigacji na pasach równoległych, stosowanej w rolnictwie precyzyjnym. Przeprowadzono szkolenie dziesięciu potencjalnych operatorów oceniając subiektywnie ich umiejętności, po wykonaniu określonej liczby przejazdów eksperymentalnych. Podczas szkoleń zebrano dane zawierające informacje o poszczególnych przejazdach. Następnie dokonano oceny odchyleń od trajektorii na podstawie wykresów ilustrujących przebieg błędów. W podsumowaniu sformułowano korzyści płynące z przeprowadzonej analizy oraz koncepcję dalszych badań.

W artykule zostaną omówione wybrane możliwości kamer Video IP w zakresie transmisji i wyświetlania obrazu oraz lokalnego i zdalnego rejestrowania materiału video.
The paper presents capabilities of modern image capture system solutions using IP video devices that can be used in measuring and control systems for documentation of events in the form of video recording. The modern IP Video camera is a complex device consisting of optical systems, image sensors and embedded real-time operating systems for image processing to upload the video stream over the network for further processing. The camera has a number of advanced features which allow performing advanced image processing at the level of IP camera. This paper discusses the capabilities of devices in the transmission of video, local and remote recording video material - Section 2. The advanced cameras can be used in many applications and systems. This requires the designer's knowledge of multiple dependencies associated with the transmission of video images, like the data stream size, the CPU load calculations, etc. Software techniques used to build programs cooperating with the Video IP camera are discussed in Section 4. There are many manufacturers of IP Video systems on the market. Each manufacturer uses a different solution in the layers of control and video transmission. This causes problems with integration of the systems from different manufacturers. On the initiative of the members and producers there has been established the ONVIF standard which allows interoperability with the equipment using a common software interface. The paper provides the basic assumptions of this interface.

W artykule przedstawiono wybrane techniki i urządzenia pomiarowe wspomagające prace geodezyjne prowadzone na podstawowych obiektach zakładów górniczych. In this paper, chosen techniques and measuring devices were presented supporting geodetic works for essential mine objects. Proposed solutions were developed in Central Mining Institute and are presently applied in mining. Specialist measuring devices were also presented including laser sensors, indicators and probes used in modern measurements and control of hoisting devices of mine shafts and other mine objects.

Currently, there are many mobile applications working in integrated building automation control systems. The author, attempting to go a step further, decided to extend the standard method of electrical devices controlling by adding the possibility of two-way verbal communication. Thanks to this, in addition to the standard procedure of the function keys controlling, the control process can be carried out using the voice commands issued by the operator. The application dedicated to the Android system platform has been designed in such a way that it can be operated by any person regardless of their age, gender or voice tone. Additionally, after making the appropriate configuration of the mobile device, it is possible to issue voice commands in a very wide range of foreign languages. In addition, the user interface allows you to hear a response regarding the correctness of the given command. This function has been implemented using a built-in speech synthesizer

W artykule zaprezentowano zastosowanie układów reprogramowalnych FPGA do zdalnego sterowania elementami wyposażenia domu. Wykorzystano rozwiązania zdalne w oparciu o najnowsze technologie: Android, Windows Mobile. W referacie przedstawiono architekturę zaproponowanego systemu, możliwości oraz podstawowe funkcjonalności, a także porównano z innymi systemami tego typu. Opisywany system został zaprezentowany podczas masowych imprez popularyzujących najnowsze rozwiązania techniczne (Międzynarodowy Piknik Naukowy, Festiwale Nauki, itp.).
The paper presents application of reprogrammable devices (FPGAs) in a Smart House project. The aim of the proposed system was to create an "intelligent" platform that permitted to control various elements of a Smart Building; like home appliances, temperature control, lightning, window and door operations, etc. The management of the whole system can be performed remotely via the Internet, a local area network or Mobile (GSM). An FPGA device is the most important part of the presented solution. It is the "heart" of a system and its role is to execute proper commands in order to control the devices and elements of the Smart House (Smart Building). The system can be managed via mobile devices (mobile computers, phones, tablets) that are based on various operating systems (Android, Windows Mobile, Symbian). The communication between the FPGA and mobile devices is encrypted. To achieve better encryption performance, the modified digital signature algorithm was implemented. The proposed system was compared with existing solutions. The main concept of the presented system was not to replace other Smart House projects but to co-operate with them. It is one of the further tasks that can be performed to extend the system performance. The preliminary results of experiments are given. The described system was introduced during mass events popularizing the latest technology (International Scientific Picnic in Warsaw in 2011; Festival of Science, Zielona Gora 2010, 2011, etc.).

W artykule zaprezentowano system wbudowany dedykowany dla „inteligentnego budynku” wykorzystujący układ FPGA. W założeniach systemu skoncentrowano się na umieszczeniu w jednym układzie procesora programowalnego wspomaganego dedykowanymi układami logicznymi. Zapewniono w ten sposób równoległą i niezależną pracę urządzeń pomiarowych, wykonawczych oraz obsługujących komunikację bezprzewodową. Artykuł zawiera krytyczną analizę przedstawionego rozwiązania i porównanie z komercyjnie dostępnymi.
The purpose of this paper is to present System-on-a-Programmable-Chip approach to design of a smart building control unit. It focuses on observed and potential profits as well as problems possible and encountered during realization of such a system. The discussed project utilizes an FPGA device as the basis of the embedded system consisting of both memory and logic elements along with intellectual property (IP) processor core and custom hardware. The main emphasis of the system concept was to incorporate wireless communication and to free processor resources by moving more demanding tasks to dedicated logic structures. Modules implemented in Hardware Description Language were designed to provide parallel and independent control, communications, measurements and data acquisition. This paper presents the critical analysis of SoPC [7] control units for building management systems in comparison to other possible solutions [2-5] and accepted standards [1].

The purpose of this article is to present the results of a one-month voice intensity treatment with specialized technical devices in a client with hyperkinetic dysarthria. The main aim of the study was to assess the effects of voice treatment software in people with dysarthria. The results show a gradual improvement in voice intensity after one month of voice treatment.
Celem niniejszego artykułu jest przedstawienie wyników miesięcznego leczenia służącego poprawie natężenia głosu u pacjenta z dyzartrią hiperkinetyczną. Terapia przeprowadzono z zastosowaniem specjalistycznych urządzeń technicznych. Głównym założeniem badania jest obserwacja efektów użycia oprogramowania służącego leczeniu zaburzeń głosu u osób z dyzartrią. Wyniki wskazują na zdolność do stopniowej zmiany natężenia głosu po okresie miesięcznego leczenia zaburzeń głosu.

Retrofit and structural design with vibration control devices have been proven repeatedly to be feasible seismic hazard mitigation approach. To control the structural response; supplemental energy dissipation devices have been most commonly used for energy absorption. The passive control system has been successfully incorporated in mid to high rise buildings as an appropriate energy absorbing system to suppress seismic and wind-induced excitation. The considerable theses that are highlighted include vibration control devices, the dynamic behavior of devices; energy dissipation mechanism, devices installation approach and building guidelines for structural analysis and design employing vibration control devices also, design concern that is specific to building with vibration control devices. The following four types of supplemental damping devices have been investigated in this review: metallic devices, friction devices, viscous fluid devices, and viscoelastic devices. Although numerous devices installation techniques available, more precisely, devices installation approaches have been reviewed in this paper, including Analysis and Redesign approach (Lavan A/R), standard placement approach, simplified sequential search algorithm, and Takewaki approach.

Opis:
W artykule dokonano przeglądu i oceny narzędzi oraz technologii teleinformatycznych służących do kontroli parametrów środowiskowych podczas transportu żywności. Zawarto krótki opis regulacji prawnych wydanych przez Unię Europejską oraz zawartych w przepisach krajowych, które standaryzują wymagania i sposoby kontroli nad przewozem żywności. Omówiono jakie parametry muszą być monitorowane dla zapewnienia bezpieczeństwa i jakości towarów oraz przedstawiono wybrane urządzenia pomiarowe i rejestrujące. Przedstawiono narzędzia i technologie teleinformatyczne, które w tym celu są obecnie wykorzystywane, wymieniono ich wady i zalety oraz dokonano ich porównania i oceny.
The paper describes and evaluates the various tools and Information and Communication Technologies (ICT) solutions that are used to monitor environmental parameters during transportation of food by land. Contains a brief description of the legal regulations issued by the European Union and the Polish legislation that are related to standardization of monitoring of environmental parameters. ICT technologies, which are used to achieve mentioned goals, are analyzed and compared in this paper. Their most common use cases, advantages and disadvantages of ICT are also described.

Opis:
Purpose: of the article is to investigate the theoretical rules of thermal transformer eddy current converter (TTC) during the preparation of ecological monitoring of brewery sewage samples based on the implementation of contactless two-parameter eddy current method of testing of the specific electrical conductivity λt and the temperature t of the beer sewage sample. It should be noted that this makes it possible to simultaneously prevent the causes of beer sewage samples deviation from the specified environmental safety indicators and to take adjustments. Design/methodology/approach: The theory of TTC operation concerning the electrical and temperature characteristics testing of beer sewage samples has been further developed by implement new universal transformation functions Δφt = f (Gt) and Δφ = f (xt), which relate the normalized difference components of the converter signals to physical and chemical characteristics of the sample. Due to this, it is possible to simultaneously prevent the causes of beer sewage samples deviation from the specified ecological safety indicators and to take appropriate adjustments. Findings: The method of two-parameter measuring test of the specific electrical conductivity λt and the temperature t of the beer sewage sample was developed on the basis of new universal transformation functions. Analysing the numerical data of electrical conductivity λ, TDS and pH at the initial temperature t1 = 15°C, the alkaline nature of beer sewage was determined. Research limitations/implications: The frequency range of the magnetic field f = 80-100 MHz, it is difficult to maintain in laboratory conditions, so the proposed method requires the use of modern high-frequency equipment, the radius of the probe depends on the radius of the primary converter frame. And therefore is quite a complicate to find appropriate tank. Practical implications: is to determine the nature of beer sewage based on the results of electrical and temperature parameters measurements during implementing a two-parameter eddy current method, which allows to prevent the reasons for beer sewage samples deviations from the specified environmental safety measures and to take appropriate adjustments. An important practical result is also the determination of the signal components and the normalized characteristics of the primary eddy current converter with a sample of beer sewage. They allow to calculate, design and create multi-parameter automated devices for measuring test of the physicochemical parameters of beer sewage samples. In turn, as a result of the physicochemical composition analysis of the sample, improving the accuracy of measurements of physicochemical parameters - there is an opportunity to improve and create advanced methods of wastewater purification on a weak electrolytic basis. Originality/value: The article originality is the investigation of the theoretical rules of thermal TTC by implementing a new multi-parameter eddy current method of measuring the specific electrical conductivity λt and the temperature t of the beer sewage sample based on the implementation of universal transformation functions Δφt = f (Gt) and Δφ = f (xt) that relate the converter signals to the physicochemical characteristics of the beer sewage sample, which helps to prevent the causes of the beer sewage samples deviation from the specified environmental safety indicators and take appropriate adjustments.
