The paper describes the results of metallographic, tribological, and microscopic tests of wire connectors. It was shown that the structure and thickness of the tin layer on the copper element varies greatly. The paper describes the results of tribological investigations for electrical connectors in the initial state and covered with a layer of oxides formed as a result of corrosion. The results of tribological tests have shown a great influence of the oxide layer on friction and wear of tin coatings. The results of friction factor measurements were confirmed by microscopic observations. The tests confirmed that the oxide layer reduces plastic deformation of the tin coating and limits its tribological wear. Due to the brittleness and low adhesion of the oxide layer, friction-induced chipping was observed.
W pracy opisano wyniki badań metalograficznych, tribologicznych i mikroskopowych końcówek wiązek elektrycznych, tzw. końcówek konektorowych. Wykazano duże zróżnicowanie struktury i grubości warstwy cynowej na elemencie wykonanym z miedzi. W pracy opisano wyniki badań tribologicznych dla końcówek konektorowych w stanie wyjściowym i pokrytych warstwą tlenków powstałych na skutek korozji. Wyniki badań tribologicznych wykazały duży wpływ warstwy oksydacyjnej na proces tarcia i zużywanie powłok cynowych. Wyniki pomiarów współczynnika tarcia potwierdzono obserwacjami mikroskopowymi. Wykazano, że warstwa tlenków zmniejsza deformację plastyczną powłoki cynowej i ogranicza jej zużywanie tribologiczne. Ze względu na kruchy charakter i małą przyczepność warstwy tlenkowej zaobserwowano wykruszanie się jej spowodowane tarciem.

W artykule omówiono i zbadano efekt oddziaływania łączeniowego łuku elektrycznego prądu stałego na degradacje powierzchni styków łączników W10 w zależności od rozwiązań konstrukcyjnych styków. Badaniom poddane zostały łączniki produkcji polskiej ze stykami srebrzonymi galwanicznie oraz łączniki podobnego typu i konstrukcji produkcji angielskiej z dodatkowymi nakładkami stykowymi mocowanymi do podstaw stykowych. Na podstawie uzyskanych wyników badań sformułowano odpowiednie wnioski praktyczne.
The author examined and described the effects of DC electric arc impact on the degradation of contacts of W10 connectors with respect to the contacts construction solutions. The tests were performed for connectors with galvanically silvered contacts, made in Poland, and similar-type connectors with extra tips fixed to contact bases, made in the U.K. Based on the achieved test results, practical conclusions were formulated.

The article features the results of spectrofotometric tests of the emission spectrum of electrical discharge in the contact gap of a connector during the connecting process, with the use of multi-layer contact materials. Suitable practical conclusions were formulated with respect to the possibility to evaluate the process of the contacts erosion during exploitation.

WIELOFUNKCYJNOŚĆ KONEKTORÓW: RELACJA KONTRASTU W PORÓWNYWALNYCH TEKSTACH PRAWNICZYCH NA PRZYKŁADZIE DYSKURSU PIEKARSTWA-CUKIERNICTWA Celem niniejszej analizy jest sprawdzenie, w jaki sposób konektory przyczyniają się do powstawania relacji kontrastu w tekstach dotyczących jednej z dziedzin rękodzieła to jest piekarstwa-cukiernictwa. Zbadamy cechy charakterystyczne wybranych konektorów i porównamy te mechanizmy w tekstach francuskich i polskich. Pierwsza część pracy zawiera krótki przegląd dotychczasowych badań nad konektorami w literaturze francuskiej i polskiej. W części drugiej przedstawimy korpus porównywalny obejmujący oryginalne teksty francuskie i polskie: zbiorowe układy pracy i statuty z dziedziny piekarstwa-cukiernictwa. W ostatniej, trzeciej, części pracy przeprowadzimy analizę porównawczą wybranych konektorów tworzących relację kontrastu (francuskie mais i polskie ale). La polyfonctionnalite des connecteurs : la relation de contraste dans les textes juridiques comparables relatifs au domaine de la boulangerie-pâtisserie L’objectif de cette analyse est d’observer comment les connecteurs  participent  à la relation de contraste dans les textes relatifs au domaine de la boulangerie-pâtisserie, en d’autres termes, d’examiner ce que leurs caractéristiques intrinsèques confèrent à la création de ces types de relations et de comparer ces phénomènes dans les documents français et polonais. Premièrement, nous allons décrire brièvement l’état des recherches sur les connecteurs dans la littérature française et polonaise. Deuxièmement, nous allons nous pencher sur notre corpus comparable constitué de textes originaux français et polonais : les conventions collectives et les statuts. Puis, nous allons mener l’analyse comparative des connecteurs choisi concernant de la relation de contraste (français mais et polonais ale).
The aim of the analysis is to investigate how connectors contribute to the relations of contrast in the texts concerning one of the fields of handicraft, i.e. baking and confectionery. We will examine the characteristic features of selected connectors and compare these mechanisms in French and Polish texts. The first part of the study contains a short overview of the current research on connectors in French and Polish literature. In the second part, we present a comparable corpus including original French and Polish texts: collective labour agreements and statutes in the field of baking-confectionery.  In the final, third part of the article, we conduct a comparative analysis of selected connectors showing the relation of contrast (French mais and Polish ale).

Rola konektorów argumentacyjnych w dyskursie orzeczniczym Przedmiotem artykułu jest próba przedstawienia konektorów argumentacyjnych w języku specjalistycznym na przykładzie francuskiego języka prawniczego. Wychodząc z założenia, że konektory stanowią integralną część struktury każdego orzeczenia sądowego, przedstawimy cechy charakterystyczne wyroków wydawanych przez francuski Sąd Kasacyjny. Spróbujemy pokazać jaka jest ich rola i na czym polega funkcja w tym szczególnym gatunku tekstu.
The intention of this article is to demonstrate argumentative connectors in language for specific purposes, on the basis of French legal language.  Assuming that connectors comprise an integral part of every judicial decision structure, our intention is to demonstrate some characteristic features of adjudications  given by French court of cassation.  We will intend to show their role and function in this distinctive kind of text.
Le rôle des connecteurs argumentatifs dans le discours juridictionnel Notre objectif est de réfléchir sur le rôle des connecteurs argumentatifs dans la création d’un texte cohérent du discours juridictionnel. Nous partons de l’idée que les connecteurs font intégralement partie de la structure logique de la décision. C’est pourquoi nous allons présenter la macrostructure des arrêts rendus par la Cour de cassation française. Nous allons tenter de montrer comment l’utilisation des connecteurs participe d’une stratégie générale de construction d’un ethos rationnel et logique pour essayer de mettre en relief la présence des connecteurs argumentatifs dans les jugements de la Cour de cassation.

The paper presents results related to assessment of the repeatability and reproducibility of the measurement test setup for determination the relative value of the shielding effectiveness coefficient of the industrial connectors. The construction of the proposed test setup, the measurement method and the procedure for the analysis of measurement results were described. To determine the value of the repeatability and reproducibility coefficient, the two–way analysis of variance was used, which additionally allows for an assessment of the influence of individual sources of variance. The measurements and their analysis were conducted for several frequencies in the range up to 1 GHz. Additionally, the expanded measurement uncertainty, including the test setup and instruments uncertainty was estimated.

In article is given an algorithm of numeric analysis of building connectors in range of their physical correctness. Particularly are defined two essential parameters for thermal-humidity estimation of connector - thermal quality factor and linear heat penetration factor. Test of parameters normalization for designing process is made. Calculation example explain mentioned procedures.

W artykule przedstawiono i omówiono wyniki badań wartości rezystancji oraz temperatury zestyków w trakcie pracy dla łączników aparatowych, których styki pokryto warstwą ochronną z tytanu metodą dynamicznego mieszania jonowego oraz dla porównania srebrem stosują metodę galwanizacji. Sformułowano odpowiednie wnioski dotyczące wpływu powyższych metod na parametry eksploatacyjne łączników w porównaniu do łączników produkowanych seryjnie.
The article describes the results of testing the resistance and temperature values of working contacts for apparatus switches whose contacts were covered with a titanium protective layer with the use of dynamic ion mixing. Additionally, for the purpose of comparison, similar tests were conducted for galvanically silvered contacts. Proper conclusions were formulated about the impact of the above methods on the exploitation parameters of switches in comparison with mass produced switches.

The Role of Concessive Connectors in the Scientific Texts Discourse The subject of the considerations of the article is the specificity of concessive relations expressed by the use of connectors in the texts of scientific discourse. The function of connectors is performed by linguistic structures, specifically by conjunctions, adverbs or particles whose aim is connecting both on the grammatical and semantic level of the text. My focus is on the semantic level whose concessive relation is not only the reflection of a specific acceptance or admission despite the existence of adversative factors. It is frequently a rhetorical device serving to express distance with which the author of the text refers to a certain stance or state of affairs.
Den Schwerpunkt von Erörterungen dieses Beitrags bilden sprachliche Strukturen, mit denen im Bereich wissenschaftlichen Schreibens die Konzessivverhältnisse zum Ausdruck gebracht werden. In der Funktion von Konnektoren, die innerhalb geschriebener Sprache als gewisse sprachliche Schemata im Kommunikationsverfahren dienen und sowohl auf der grammatischen und semantischen Ebene den Text kohärent machen, tauchen sowohl Konjunktionen, Adverbien, als auch Partikel auf. Mein Augenmerk richtet sich besonders auf die semantische Ebene, in der diese Strukturen bei der Realisierung bestimmter Intentionen der Sprecher, z. B. zum Ausdruck von Opposition oder Argumentation dienen. Weiterhin wird das Konzessivverhältnis zwecks Organisation der sozialen Interaktion auf der Textebene genutzt, bzw. als eine Strategie der Selbstsicherung des Autors im Diskurs durch Distanzhalten zu sehen ist.

Development of modern car constructions is connected with widespreading use of electrical and electronical devices. It results in a necessity of connectors use in automotive electrical installation. In the present work the influence of multiply connecting and disconnecting on the friction force has been studied. This force determines the reliability of connectors.

Steel-concrete composite structures are widely used in the current construction of bridges and multi-storey buildings. The effect of shear connectors in a cold-formed steel-composite beam was studied under flexure. The number of channel connectors in the specimen was varied and the same was compared with a specimen without shear connectors. The performance and failure of cold-formed steel-composite beams were then studied. The presence of shear connectors in the tension zone prevents the formation of cracks which are the major cause of failure in a beam subjected to bending. The load carrying capacity is greater in a composite beam and an increase in the number of channel connectors from one to five increases the load-carrying capacity by 60 % as compared to a specimen without a connector. A composite beam with five connectors is more ductile, with a ductility factor of 14. The Composite beams were also analysed using the finite element software ANSYS and were found to have good agreement with the experimental results.
