    Opis:
    Church’s liturgical life is marked out by agendas and song books (hymnals), which shape the worship practice, church members’ spirituality and piety forms. An important part of this process is also the confession practice, consisting in confessing sins and absolution, and specified by the liturgical formulas. In the 20th century Polish Lutheranism shaped its confession practice through three main sets of agendas and song books. First of them was the 1889 agenda, supplemented by a hymnal from 1899. After the 2nd World War the confession practice was determined by the 1955 agenda and 1956 song book, replaced in 1965 with the new edition. Last stage of shaping the liturgical practice was publishing the agenda in 1995, and a song book (2002). Source analysis has shown that confession was present through general confession formulas, which were above all a preparation for the Holy Communion, and partly by Confiteor – a liturgical penance act and confession of sins.

    Moralnoteologiczna refleksja nad problematyką grzechu w Piśmie świętym ukazuje bogatą semantykę biblijnego rozumienia ludzkiej słabości oraz odpowiedzi na nią. W Starym Testamencie nie pojawia się jeden termin oddający rzeczywistość grzechu, lecz zbiór pojęć. Spośród nich wyróżnić można cztery najczęściej występujące hebrajskie rdzenie: ḥṭʼ (zaniedbanie czegoś wobec Boga czy też innego człowieka), pšʽ (popełnienie przestępstwa), ʽwn (konsekwencje grzechu) oraz ršʽ (popełnienie występku). Te różnorodne terminy dotyczące ludzkiej słabości związane są z przebaczeniem (hbr. salaḥ) jako czynnością Boga, pojednaniem (hbr. rdzeń kpr) dokonującym się przy zaangażowaniu kapłanów oraz wyznaniem grzechów (hbr. jādāh). W Nowym Testamencie tematyka grzechu jest wyrażona przy pomocy dwóch greckich terminów: hamartịa oraz adikịa. Odpowiedzią na grzech jest przebaczenie Boga (gr. aphesis) związane z wyznaniem grzechów (gr. exomológesis). Zarówno w Starym jak i Nowym Tesatmencie grzech może odnosić się zarówno do Boga jak i do drugiego człowieka. W Nowym Testamencie zbawcze dzieło Jezusa Chrystusa wprowadza nowy wymiar w przezwyciężeniu grzechu. Aby pomóc grzesznikowi w pokonywaniu słabości, wspólnota pierwotnego Kościoła wprowadziła praktykę ekskomuniki jako środka zaradczego dla poprawy wierzącego oraz rekoncyliacji jako obrzędu włączenia pokutnika na nowo do wspólnoty wierzących.
    Moral-theological Reflection on the Approach to a Sin in the Bible The moral-theological relfection on the issue of a sin in the Holy Scriptures reveals the rich semantics of the biblical understanding of human weakness and of the response to it. In the Old Testament, there is not a single concept reflecting the reality of a sin, but there are five concepts. Among them, the four most common Hebrew roots can be distinguished: ḥtʼ (negligence of something towards God or another human being), pšʽ (the commitment of crime), ʽwn (the consequences of a sin) and ršʽ (the commitment of an ofense). These variegated concepts concerning the human weakness are connected with forgiveness (salaḥ in Hebrew) as God's activity, with reconciliation (kpr, a Hebrew root) done thanks to the commitment of priests, as well as with the testimony of sins (jādāh in Hebrew). In the New Testament, the theme of a sin is expressed by two Greek concepts: hamartịa and adikịa . God's forgiveness (aphesis in Greek) connected with the confession of sins (exomológesis in Greek) is the response to a sin. Both in the Old Testament and in the New Testament, a sin can be committed towards God as well as towards another human being. In the New Testament, the salvific work of Jesus Christ implements a new dimension in overcoming a sin. In order to help a sinner in overcoming weaknesses, the community of the original Church introduced the practices of excommunication, as the means towards the improvement of a believer, and of the reconciliation, as the ritual of reinclusion of the penitent in the believers' community.

    In the catalog of the differences, which in comparison with the Roman law is found in the Code of Canons of the Eastern Churches, there is the part of the differences concerning the regulation of different penalties and reserved sins. This issue, on the borderline of criminal law and the rights of the sacraments, is particularly relevant in the context of the inter-rite confession. Latae sententiae penalties, as provided in the Code of Canon Law, remain completely unknown to the east of legislation. The latter provides for the reserved sins. While taking into account that every believer has the right to choose a confessor, also from the different rite, before whom there is the particular difficulty to answer the question about the scope of theirs competence. The present article is an attempt to find out the solutions to a situation in which the faithful Eastern Catholic confesses the exclusive sin before the confessor, and the faithful Roman wants to confess to a priest being in the Eastern ecclesiastical penalty, which incurs latae sententiae.

    Opis:
    God acts “ordinary” through the sacraments of the Church and saves us from sin, however always remains open for us a question about the way of salvation. In the space of theological researches and their pastoral applications, however, controversial concepts have emerged, raising a number of questions and doubts that demand a critical assessment. These include concepts of “generational sin”, “intergenerational forgiveness” and “wicket’s confession”. Theological reflection and the involvement of the pastors of the Church in Poland brought with them concrete results in the form of competent theological opinions and disciplinary regulations, and this whole process has become an opportunity to deepen the awareness of God’s action in the sacraments of baptism and penance, as well as the theological-pastoral challenge.
