Opis:
Computer 3D modelling allows designing or mapping objects and then their photorealistic visualization. In the programs for creating 3D graphics a user often loses judgement as to which technique to use during the process. It is also a major problem in teaching graphics, because the final result can be obtained by various methods using tools available in the programs. This paper presents and discusses the examples of the usage of computer visualization in teaching technical subjects on science faculties. For this purpose CAD programs, such as Inventor and AutoCAD were used. The advantages of 3D over 2D design were described and the analysis and evaluation of the available tools for 3D modelling and computer visualization were conducted. In the final part of the work selected examples of computer visualization are presented, in the context of supporting teaching the students of science fields of studies.

Opis:
The application of solid-state light sources in luminaires creates a new quality in illumination design works. In a confrontation with a commonly used but relatively unattractive flood method, the use of small-size luminaires allows one to present an illuminated architectural object in a more attractive way in the evening and at night. In this case, it is possible to apply the principles of illumination described in the literature, especially the principle of height amplification and the principle of depth amplification. The conceptual work of illumination with the use of a large number of small-size luminaires does not require the use of supporting graphical tools, but the specification of actual lighting equipment using only polygonal samples in this case is not possible. The paper presents selected issues of the key stages of the completed work. Using specialized computer software, a geometric model of the architectural object has been developed, facade materials have been parameterized, models of small-size illuminating equipment have been selected and, finally, calculations of luminance distribution on illuminated surfaces have been carried out. As a result of computer work, luminance distributions and photorealistic visualizations of illuminations from defined main directions of observation were obtained. The Lubomirski Palace in Przemysl is an example of the architectural object indicated for detailed works.

Przedstawiono możliwości zastosowania wizualizacji komputerowej do przedstawiania wyników modelowania matematycznego. Wizualizacja polega na zobrazowaniu wyników symulacji komputerowej modelu matematycznego w postaci animowanych obiektów tekstowych i graficznych. których spójną całość komponuje się za pośrednictwem akcji sterujących ich wyświetlaniem i usuwaniem. Mechanizm jej tworzenia przedstawiono dla komputerowej symulacji realizowanej w programie Matlab®. Komunikacja pomiędzy programami: realizującym symulację oraz odpowiedzialnym za wizualizację, odbywa się za pośrednictwem protokole DDE.
It was shown the possibility of using the computer visualization in showing results of the mathematical modeling. The visualization consist in illustrating results of the mathematical model in the computer simulation. It was illustrated by using animated text and graphic objects. The connected total is making by the agency of control actions of displaying and deleting them. The way of making it was shown for the computer simulation which was carried out in Matlab®. The communication between programs: the first which carries oust the simulation and the second which is responsible for visualization. is making by the agency ot DDF protocol.

In the article, using as an example the St. Joseph Church in Poznań, there has been described selected problems connected with the illumination of historical architectonic facilities and building. The choice of the selected illumination method is made using the designer imagination and conservator’s enquiry requirements. Technical conditions, related with the building location on the area equipped with utilities, may have significant influence on choosing the final solution for the lighting. In such situation computer visualizations become the tool facilitating determining the final illumination method. It is possible to select the appropriate illumination equipment taking into consideration location of luminaires which is directly depending on technical conditions.

In the article, using as an example the Collegium Novum building in Poznań, there has been described selected problems connected with the illumination of modern architectonic facilities and building. In many cases, the author or designer of the building project has significant influence on selecting the final solution for the faęade illumination. There has been indicated the significant role of the computer visualization of the artistic effects. The visualization shows possible to obtain effects, dependently on applied technical illumination solutions. The effects depend on selected illumination method, selected illumination equipment as well as on the luminaires assembling methods. The comparison of various visualization versions facilitates taking the final decision for choosing the execution.

This design is performed according to the up-to-date national requirements. A computer visualization is also performed. The visualization enables to imagine lighting of staircase after the modernization.

In the new software application “ArtMathGraph”(AMG), the construction of artistic visual images of realistic objects is based on the analytical approximation of complicated geometrical forms by the parametric equations of the mathematical transformed surfaces and also on the interactive visual mathematical modeling of predetermined geometrical forms as visual models of realistic objects. Consecutive mathematical transformations of the analytical representations of initial well-known classical surfaces (such as plane, cone, cylinder, sphere, ellipsoid, etc.) allowed obtaining visual images of various realistic objects, including the objects of Nature such as vegetables, fruits, flowers, leafs, etc. The AMG application provides the possibility to combine the individual images into artistic compositions. By experience, consecutive use of all means of the AMG application allows obtaining various artistic compositions by methods of analytical geometry and computer graphics only.
Nowy program „ArtMathGraph” (AMG) służy do tworzenia artystycznych obrazów z realistycznych obiektów poprzez aproksymację skomplikowanych form geometrycznych, opisanych równaniami parametrycznymi, przekształconymi matematycznie powierzchniami. Wykorzystuje on modelowanie matematyczne predefiniowanych obiektów geometrycznych do uzyskania interaktywnego obrazu. W efekcie przekształceń matematycznych dobrze znanych klasycznych powierzchni (takich jak płaszczyzna, stożek, walec, sfera, elipsoida itp.) zadanych analitycznymi reprezentacjami, uzyskuje się wizualne obrazy realistycznych obiektów, nie wyłączając obiektów natury takich jak: warzywa, owoce, kwiaty czy liście. Aplikacja AMG daje możliwości zestawiania pojedynczych obrazów w nawet bardzo skomplikowane kompozycje artystyczne wykorzystując jedynie geometrię analityczną i grafikę komputerową. W artykule przedstawiono kilka graficznych przykładów matematycznie przekształconych podstawowych powierzchni geometrycznych.

The research presented in this paper deals with the speech signal with use of elecroglotography method analysis issue. This is an instrumental analysis, so the device called Laryngograph is presented, as a practical application. In this paper capabilities of this device are estimated. The very interesting fact is that the visualization of the speech signal obtained using Laryngograph allows to detect its acoustically and phonetically most important features, and presenting them in a graphical form. The analysis process performed using a computer and the specified computer attachment is easier, faster and ensures higher quality than other methods. Computer voice recording enables not only visualization but also objective assessment and its repetitiveness. In the context of presented questions, practical capabilities of integrated system for speech examination - Speech Studio are discussed.

Problem ten może być rozpatrywany na kilku płaszczyznach z jednej strony ułatwienia, jakie dają nowoczesne narzędzia, zwiększają możliwość eliminacji błędów na etapie projektowym, ale z drugiej strony pozwalają projektantom na sterowanie odczuciami przyszłych klientów, nie zawsze w sposób rzetelny i uczciwy. Artykuł porusza moralne i etyczne strony pracy architekta we współczesnym świecie opanowanym przez konsumpcjonizm i chęć szybkiego zysku. Dodatkowym utrudnieniem staje się fakt, że obecnie praca ta zazwyczaj przebiega na płaszczyźnie projektant – inwestor (deweloper), a nie projektant – przyszły użytkownik mieszkania.
This article is about the impact present-day instruments of architect’s work, especially computer aided architectural design, for the quality of residential space. The problem can be dealt with on several levels. On the one hand, new instruments simplify work and minimize errors, on the other hand they allow designers to control the feelings of future customers.The article considers the moral and ethical part of architect’s work in the modern world, which is brought under control by the rapid consumption and a desire to profit. Added problem is the fact, that nowadays designers usually communicate with developers, not future users of residential space.

W artykule przedstawiono wybrane elementy komputerowego projektu oświetlenia elektrycznego boiska piłkarskiego o nawierzchni sztucznej. Obliczenia i wizualizacje wykonano z wykorzystaniem programu DIALux. W projekcie uwzględniono zalecenia m.in. FIFA i UEFA.
In the paper electric lighting design of a football pitch with artificial grass is presented. The electric lighting was modelled and calculated with the use of the software DIALux. Basic recommendations of FIFA and UEFA organizations for football stadiums were taken into account.

In many interiors the applied illumination performs not only the usable but also the decorative function, for the purpose of building the atmosphere and climate, and for emphasizing or accentuating with use of the light the architectonic elements and details, as well as for creating in the interior space the specific visual guide along the exhibition. Undoubtedly to this category belong interiors of the commercial facilities. The light performs in these interiors various and multiple functions, resulting from the necessity to provide the appropriate and suitable working conditions for the personnel and the need to present to customers the offered goods and services. The light function is also moulded and framed by the development of the modern contemporary illumination techniques. In the search for and in creating the appropriate suitable illumination solutions, there is very helpful the computer aided design and planning further completed with the visualizations.

W artykule zamieszczono siedem autentycznych rozumowań, uzyskanych oduczniów szkoły średniej oraz studenta studiów doktoranckich z matematykiw wyniku obserwacji ich pracy nad rozwiązaniem zadania. Każda z tych osóbrozwiązywała jedno z czterech zadań, wśród których jedno to standardowezadanie z geometrii analitycznej, a trzy pozostałe to zadania otwarte – każdeo innej strukturze logicznej. Opisane rozumowania są analizowane przezpryzmat wprowadzonej przez Profesor Zofię Krygowską typologii rodzajówmyślenia matematycznego, w której wyróżnia się: wnioskowanie empiryczne,rozumowanie intuicyjne oraz rozumowanie formalne. W komentarzach do rozumowańuwzględniane są także wyniki rozważań innych autorów na tematnatury myślenia matematycznego. W konkluzji zwrócono uwagę na różnice wrozumieniu przez poszczególnych uczniów, czym jest uzasadnienie stwierdzeniamatematycznego, a także na pewne podobieństwo między uczniem a osobą wykształconąmatematycznie w posługiwaniu się wnioskowaniem empirycznym.

Opis:
The casting workshop in Grzybiany, in Lower Silesia (SW Poland) is a valuable source of knowledge on the development of casting techniques in the 7 – 6 centuries BC. Abundant evidence found on the archaeological site points to cast manufacturing by means of precision casting in ceramic moulds (lost-wax molding). The workshop is the biggest collection of moulds for bracelet, necklace and other smaller decorative artefacts in Poland. The aim of the work is to conduct the research of the moulds and casts with the view of performing a computer reconstruction of the casting moulds from the Bronze and Early Iron Age, based on the Grzybiany finds. As part of the work, both the microscopic structure and defectoscopic analyses of the casting moulds were performed. Chemical composition of the casts was tested using the X-ray fluorescence spectroscopy method. Based on these results and using computer modelling methods, a geometric visualisation was performed, which is the bases for preparing the visualisation of the process of pouring liquid metal into the moulds, reconstructing both the technology and the alloys used.

Dynamika systemów chaotycznych często badana jest przy wykorzystaniu metod symulacji komputerowej. Program Data Visualizer został przez autora zaprojektowany i zaimplementowany z myślą o dostarczeniu wygodnego narzędzia do analizy i wizualizacji zachowania chaotycznych systemów dynamicznych. Dane w postaci szeregów czasowych mogą zostać poddane edycji, a następnie wyświetlane w odrębnych oknach w formie wykresów czasowych lub obrazów fazowych. Obrazy fazowe mogą być uzupełnione przez wyświetlenie wektorów kierunkowych wskazujących następny punkt obrazu na płaszczyźnie fazowej. Analiza własności chaotycznych szeregów czasowych, w tym również badanie ich obrazów fazowych, może znaleźć zastosowanie w klasyfikacji systemów chaotycznych.
The dynamics of chaotic systems is often examined with help of computer simulation methods. The results of computer experiments are analysed with methods offered by available computer programmes of common use or with especially built software. Data Visualizer programme was designed and implemented by the author in order to provide a comfortable tool to analyse and visualize data which constitute the observations of chaotic dynamic systems. The data in the form of chaotic time series, being implemented into Data Visualizer programme can be subject to edition and subsequently – displayed in separate windows in the form of time charts or phase images. All charts are subject to calibration in order to achieve a specific method of visualizing data. The programme also allows different presentation transformations, such as mapping features and pixellation of the chart. Phase image, built in presentation windows of Data Visualizer programme can be completed by displaying direction vectors which indicate the next point of the image on the phase plane. By means of Data Visualizer programme it is possible to visualize the time sequences being analysed in a simple way, using a group of varied graphic transformations. The analysis of chaotic qualities of time series, including the examination of their phase images can be applied into the classification of chaotic systems.
