    Opis:
    Minimization of data-processing time and reduction of software-development time are important practical problems to be tackled by modern computer science. This paper presents the authors’ proposal of a family of statistical models for the estimation of program execution time, which is an approach focused on both of the above problems at the same time. The family consists of a general model and specific models and has been elaborated based on empirical data collected for pattern-program loops representing some arbitrarily selected features related to the program structure and the specificity of a program-execution environment. The paper presents steps to elaborate the aforementioned family as well as the results of the carried-out experimental research. The paper demonstrates how the elaborated models can be applied in iterative compilation for optimization purposes, allowing us to reduce the time of software development and produce code with minimal execution time.

    The study completes the compilation of the questionnaire on Chinese undergraduates’ moral values from six moral values dimensions: honesty and compliance, civility and self-discipline, love, unity and be helpful, esteem and filial respect. The questionnaire has 31 questions in all, taking advantage of Likert scale. Using this scale, its alpha reliability reach 0.887 with clear internal structure. The validity is well and the model fitting index accords with statistical measurement, which covers the shortage of empirical study on Chinese undergraduate students’ moral values. The measurement, which focused undergraduate moral values, is compiled by a total of 768 valid samples from 6 colleges. Measurement results show that there are sequences of orientation on Chinese undergraduates’ moral values approval, and the order is: Honesty and compliance, civility and discipline, filial respect unity and be helpful, love and esteem; while gender differences do exist. The male undergraduates’ identity level of honesty and compliance, civility and self-discipline, love, and filial respect ranks higher than that of female undergraduates; however, the differences, between male and female undergraduates, on unity and being helpful, as well as esteem are not significant.

    The paper presents current state of bathymetric survey concerning deep ocean rather than shallow areas, which are better surveyed due to safety of navigation concerns. Rules and requirements of the new challenge, called the Shell Ocean Discovery XPRIZE, became a starting point for a discussion about the possibilities of mapping large areas of the ocean using up-to-date and new technology. The amount of bathymetric data available nowadays and the current state of ocean map compilations are also discussed in the paper as a motivation to inspire the new initiatives in the deep ocean.
    W artykule przedstawiono obecny stan pomiarów batymetrycznych głębokowodnych obszarów oceanicznych. Zasady najnowszego konkursu Shell Ocean Discovery XPRIZE stały się punktem wyjścia do dyskusji o obecnych możliwościach pozyskiwania danych niezbędnych do tworzenia map oceanów w oparciu o aktualnie dostępne technologie. W artykule poruszono również zagadnienie ilości i cech danych batymetrycznych znajdujących się i udostępnianych w bazach danych gromadzących tego typu informacje.

    Ten artykuł jest poświęcony porównaniu szybkości kompilowania kodów preprocesorów SCSS oraz LESS. Każdy preprocesor ma swoją składnię, która w ciągu dalszym tworzenia strony webowej jest transpilowana do składni języka arkuszy stylów CSS. Technologie te służą temu samemu celowi – uproszczeniu i przyśpieszeniu pisania widoków stron, ale bazują się na różnych językach programowania – języku Ruby (SCSS) oraz JavaScript (LESS). W ramach przepro-wadzonych badań dokonano pomiarów czasów kompilacji kodów w formacie SCSS i LESS o rozmiarach 10, 50, 100 i 200 kB, otrzymane wyniki jednoznacznie pokazały, że szybszym narzędziem do przetwarzania kodu na składnię CSS okazał się LESS. W analizach pod uwagę również wzięto wielkość kodu wynikowego CSS.
    This article compares the compilation speed of the SCSS and LESS preprocessor codes. Each preprocessor has its own syntax, which is transpiled into the CSS stylesheet language in the further development of the web page. These technol-ogies serve the same purpose - to simplify and speed up the writing of page views, but are based on different program-ming languages - Ruby (SCSS) and JavaScript (LESS). As part of the research, the compilation times of the codes in the SCSS and LESS format with sizes of 10, 50, 100 and 200 kB were measured, the obtained results clearly showed that LESS turned out to be a faster tool for processing the code into CSS syntax. The size of the CSS result code was also taken into account in the analyzes.

    The advent of language implementation tools such as PyPy and Truffle/Graal have reinvigorated and broadened interest in topics related to automatic compiler generation and optimization. Given this broader interest, we revisit the Futamura Projections using a novel diagram scheme. Through these diagrams we emphasize the recurring patterns in the Futamura Projections while addressing their complexity and abstract nature. We anticipate that this approach will improve the accessibility of the Futamura Projections and help foster analysis of those new tools through the lens of partial evaluation.

    Architektura – jest wydzielaniem przestrzeni, konstruowanym z tworzywa, będącego kompilacją elementów materialnych i niematerialnych. Życie człowieka ma charakter przestrzenny, odbywa się w przestrzeni jego egzystencji: przez niego wytworzonej i zastanej. Człowiek egzystuje w przestrzeni behawioralnej, wśród architektury miasta, która jest swoistym medium – środkiem przekazu informacji składających się sumarycznie na percepcjonowane przez niego treści. Mieszka w przestrzeni realnej i wirtualnej oraz w przestrzeni będącej synergią zbudowaną z obu. Węzeł – to miejsce spotkań: pasaży, ulic… Konstruowany jako miejsce formalnie i funkcjonalnie ważne: do spotkań w mieście. Ma swoje działanie synergiczne. Budowanie węzłów – to budowanie możliwości do powstawania potencjalnych Miejsc Strategicznej Interwencji. To miejsca: kreowania zdarzeń i swoista furtka do różnorakich doznań, percepcji świata materialnego i wirtualnego oraz fantasmagorii – będących konsekwencja ich wzajemnych relacji. Konstruują je: znaczenie w geografi i miasta, znaczenie użytkowe, uformowanie kubaturowe, wydarzenia historyczne i współcześnie przekazywane informacje. Miasto, to co prawda duży dom – ale przy założeniu, że węzeł miejski jest projektowany, a nie powstaje przypadkowo, jego wybudowanie – jako obiektu architektonicznego, zespołu takich obiektów bądź założenia urbanistycznego – nie musi być krótsze niż konstruowanie w nim treści.
    Architecture – is demarcation of space, built of material which is a compilation of tangible and intangible elements. Human life is of spatial nature, it takes place in space of man’s existence: created by him and found by him. A man exists in behavioural space, among architecture of the city which is kind of a medium – means of communicating information cumulating into the contents perceived by him. A man lives in real and virtual space as well as in a space which is a synergy of them both. Junction – is a meeting place: of walkways, streets… Constructed as a place formally and functionally important: for meetings in the city. It has its synergic function. Constructing junctions – means building possibilities for prospective Places for Strategic Intervention. These are places: for creating events and a kind of gate into different sensations, perception of material and virtual world and phantasmagorias – which are a consequence of their interrelationships. They are constructed by: signifi cance in the geography of the city, usability, volumetric form, historical events and contemporarily broadcast information.

    Interpretacje przestrzeni architektonicznej odbywają się na trzech poziomach. Pierwszy, swoiście ponadarchitektoniczny - konstruuje wielodyscyplinarny model Idei, która adekwatnie ukształtuje później również koncept architektury. Drugi - odnosi się do rozwiązań przestrzenno-formalnych i estetycznych. Trzeci - to indywidualnie subiektywne interpretacje dokonywane przez poszczególnych obserwatorów. Pierwszy - abstrakcyjnie kształtuje niematerialną strukturę kompozycji przekazywanej Idei (treści, znaczeń, miejsc, funkcji, estetyki itp.), nadając jej na przykład formę zwartą bądź rozproszoną. Drugi - stanowiąc materialną emanację pierwszego, konstruuje odpowiadającą mu strukturę materialną, na przykład: filozoficznej metafory zwartego gmachu bądź rozproszoną - kompilacyjną. Trzeci - ma odniesienie w doświadczeniach obserwatorów.
    Architectural space may be interpreted on three levels. The first, in a way going beyond architecture, constructs a multidisciplinary model of the Idea, which will adequately form the concept of architecture later on. The second relates to spatial-formal and aesthetic solutions. The third is the individually subjective interpretations made by individual observers. The first – abstractly forms the non-material structure of the communicated Idea’s composition (content, meanings, places, functions, aesthetics, etc.), giving it, for example, a compact or dispersed form. The second - being a material emanation of the first - constructs a corresponding material structure, for example, a philosophical metaphor of a compact edifice or dispersed - compilation. The third - is manifested in the experience of the observers.

    W artykule przedstawiono przykład zastosowania oprogramowania ArcInfo do redagowania mapy. Przybliżono problematykę wyboru i sposobu wykorzystania danych źródłowych, prezentacji rzeźby terenu w trakcie opracowania średnioskalowej mapy topograficznej przeznaczonej do wydruku.
    In 2010 an expedition to the massif of Belukha in the Altai (4506 m a.s.l.) in Kazakhstan was organized. A topographic map in the scale of 1:100,000 had been prepared for the expedition. Ali the editorial works were performed in the environment of GIS ArcInfo package, which had been considered the most advanced in applied cartographic tools. The first version of the map had been verified in Altai and in 2011 a new version was elaborated, which mainly improved relief by addi-tion of rock drawing and modified shading. The map was prepared in 'WGS-84' coordinate system and UTM projection basing on Soviet topographic maps in '1942' coordinate system (downloaded from the Internet) and satellite images from LandsatTM and ETM+. Satellite images were used to update buildings, forests, roads, water-beds and main forms of high-mountain rock relief. ASTER GDEM and SRTM digital terrain models were also used, but their quality was not satisfactory. As a result an original terrain model in 25 m resolution was prepared, basing on vectorized contourlines and other necessary relief elements extracted from topographic maps using ANUDEM algorithm. All the elements of map contents mentioned above were prepared in ArcInfo, with input data not organized into one common database, but rather placed in a layer structure (*lyr files). Rock drawings could not be executed in ArcInfo package (ArcMap module), therefore they were done manually using satellite images. Rock drawings were adjusted to the location of mountain ridges determined basing on topographic maps. The drawing was then scanned, processed graphically in Adobe Photoshop, geo-referred and added to the map. Shading was generated from the original terrain model, detailed to follow the contourlines, modified and retouched in Photoshop, adapting the details to rock drawings and contourlines' location. The presented process of preparation of a middle-scale topographic map shows that the newest version of ArcInfo package (9.3.1) has a lot of potential for map editing, starting from data preparation to the final map. However, for particular features and forms of relief, manual involvement using other vector and raster graphic editors is necessary.

    The subject matter of this article is the characterization of adjective declension system in one of Western-Ruthenian literary monuments. "The Suprasl Chronicle", which is classified by researchers as the first Belorussian-Lithuanian compilation, is in terms of language an unusually rich and varied monument. The analysis of adjective declension conducted in this article indicates that full forms are more numerous than simple ones which are used in "The Suprasl Chronicle" in the function of predicative. In the inflection of full forms some influence of the Old Church Slavonic and Belorussian languages has been observed. In the plural form of simple adjectives there is a noticeable tendency to level endings after feminine inflection paradigm.
    Przedmiotem niniejszego artykułu jest charakterystyka systemu deklinacyjnego przymiotnika w jednym z zabytków zachodnioruskiego piśmiennictwa. „Kronika Supraska”, zaliczana przez badaczy do I redakcji latopisów białorusko-litewskich, jest zabytkiem niezwykle bogatym i różnorodnym pod względem językowym. Przeprowadzona w artykule analiza odmiany przymiotnika pozwala zauważyć przewagę form pełnych nad niezłożonymi, które najczęściej używane są w tekście latopisu w funkcji orzecznika. W odmianie form pełnych odnotowane zostały wpływy języków staro-cerkiewno-słowiańskiego oraz białoruskiego. W liczbie mnogiej przymiotników niezłożonych zauważalna jest tendencja do wyrównywania końcówek według paradygmatu odmiany rodzaju żeńskiego.

    Artykuł dotyczy wykorzystania kompilacji iteracyjnej do optymalizacji warstwy programowej systemów wbudowanych. W oparciu o autorskie narzędzie WIZUTIC zminejszono czas przetwarzania algorytmu szyfrowania DES. Danymi wejściowymi kompilatora są programy sekwencyjne, wynikami programy zrównoleglone zgodnie ze standardem OpenMP oraz zoptymalizowane pod względem lokalności danych. Parametrem kompilacji iteracyjnej jest rozmiar bloku dla transformacji pętli programowej-tiling.
    Embedded systems are special-purpose computers that perform one or few dedicated tasks. They are mostly part of larger electronic devices, such as communication devices, home appliances, office automation, business equipment, automobiles, etc. Complexity of computers has grown tremendously in recent years, because multi-core processors are in widespread use. Parallelized programs must be run on multi-core processors to use the most of its computing power. Exploiting parallel compilers for automatic parallelization of sequential programs accelerates design processes and reduces costs of the designed systems. In this paper there is described a WIZUTIC iterative compiler developed by the Faculty of Computer Science and Information Technology of the West Pomeranian University of Technology. It uses the source code of PLUTO parallel compiler developed at the Ohio State University by Uday Bondhugula. A simulated annealing algorithm is used for finding optimization passes for the given program features. Parameters that are changed in each iteration are tile sizes of loop transformation tiling. Experimental tests are described and the speed-up results obtained for the DES encryption algorithm are given.

    W artykule opisano analizę możliwości wykorzystania narzędzi open-source do kompilacji bibliotek iOS w systemie operacyjnym Linux. Celem analizy jest sprawdzenie możliwości przeprowadzenia kompilacji w systemie Linux oraz wykrycie potencjalnych ograniczeń przy wykorzystaniu kompilatora LLVM. Badania przeprowadzono na autorskich bibliotekach napisanych w językach Objective-C oraz Swift, które zawierały pliki graficzne o różnych formatach i rozmiarach, jak również pliki tekstowe. Uzyskano wyniki które wskazują, że kompilacja bibliotek iOS w systemie Linux jest możliwa pod warunkiem, że kompilowane biblioteki nie wykorzystują komponentów opisanych w formacie xib, do kompilacji których na systemie Linux nie istnieje odpowiednik narzędzia kompilacyjnego z systemu macOS.
    This paper analyzes possibility of using open-source tools to compile iOS frameworks in Linux operating system. The purpose of this analysis was to determine how compilation in Linux could be performed and identify possible limita-tions when using LLVM compiler. The analysis has been performed on own frameworks written using Objective-C and Swift languages containing graphic and text files in different formats and sizes. Results of the analysis show that compilation of iOS frameworks under Linux operating system is possible unless the compiler frameworks use interface components written in xib format for which there are no compilation tools available on Linux operating system.

Podczas przygotowywania scenariuszy wykorzystywane są takie działania, jak różny stopień redukcji tekstu biblijnego, uaktualnianie wydarzeń czy różnego rodzaju kompilacje. Autorzy tych przedstawień bądź dramaturdzy zaproszeni do współpracy dokonują niejednokrotnie świadomego wyboru tekstów, dzięki którym powstają uniwersalne opowieści mające na celu głoszenie kerygmatu. Zauważa się coraz bardziej zamierzone operowanie różnymi formami stylistycznymi w celu stworzenia dojrzałych i wartościowych spektakli.
    Christian theatres often try to transfer biblical content to the stage, the main goal of which is the story told along with the message it carries. During the preparation of scenarios, activities such as text simplification, updating events, and other various types of compilations are used. The authors of these performances or the playwrights invited to cooperate, often make a conscious choice of texts, thanks to which universal stories are created to proclaim the kerygma. There is an increasingly awareness in the use of various stylistic forms in order to create mature and valuable performances.

    Complexity of computers has grown tremendously in recent years, because, among others, multi-processor and multi-core architectures are in widespread use. Parallelized programs should run on multi-core processors to use the most of its computing power. Exploiting parallel compilers for automatic parallelization and data locality optimization of sequential programs reduces costs of software. In this paper there is described the WIZUTIC Compiler Framework developed in the Faculty of Computer Science and Information Technology of the West Pomeranian University of Technology. The application uses the source code of the PLUTO parallel compiler developed in the Ohio State University by Uday Bondhugula. The simulated annealing method and the Bees algorithm are used for finding proper transformations of the source code for given program features. The experimental study results using the Data Encryption Standard (DES) algorithm are described and the speed-ups of encryption and decryption processes are presented.
    W artykule przedstawiono autorski kompilator zrównoleglający oraz optymalizujący lokalność danych- WIZUTIC oraz jego wykorzystanie do skrócenia czasu przetwarzania algorytmu szyfrowania DES. Do utworzenia kompilatora WIZUTIC transformującego kod źródłowy zapisany w języku C ze źródła do źródła wykorzystano kody źródłowe kompilatora PLUTO autorstwa Uday'a Bondhuguli służącego do optymalizacji lokalności danych z zastosowaniem transformacji tiling oraz zrównoleglenia pętli programowych z wykorzystaniem gruboziarnistej równoległości. W procesie kompilacji wykorzystano technikę kompilacji iteracyjnej oraz dwie metody optymalizacji: symulowane wyżarzanie (SA) oraz algorytm pszczół (BA) służące do określenia odpowiedniego rozmiaru bloku transformacji tiling. Przedstawiono wyniki badań eksperymentalnych dla algorytmu DES pracującego w trybie ECB. Badania przeprowadzona z zastosowaniem maszyny 8-procesorowej Quad Core Intel Xeon Processor Model E7310, kompilatora GCC GNU z wykorzystaniem standardu OpenMP w wersji 3.0 oraz narzędzia do profilowania kodu Intel VTune.

    Każda antologia jest wyzwaniem, a oczekiwania autora i czytelnika, nie mówiąc już o specjalistach, historykach czy krytykach literatury, często okazują się trudne do pogodzenia. Zawsze jesteśmy skazani na kompromis między subiektywną wizją a obowiązującym stereotypem, który bywa identyczny z utrwalonym od dawna kanonem. Gruntowna rewizja obrazu epoki, nurtu, prądu czy tematu zwykle graniczy z pewnym ryzykiem.  Tekst Dylematy autora antologii jest pisany z perspektywy humanisty-praktyka, który ma w swoim dorobku kilka prób stworzenia literackich kolekcji, a jeszcze więcej − z rozmaitych powodów − zaplanował, ale nie doczekały się one realizacji. Niestety, wnioski są mało optymistyczne, bo jak się zdaje, w dzisiejszych czasach antologie nie należą do przedsięwzięć popularnych. Wymagają żmudnej pracy, nakładów finansowych, wreszcie odwagi ze strony edytora, który raczej nie może liczyć na szybki komercyjny sukces. Nowym antologiom nie sprzyja również dość powszechna dostępność w sieci tekstów kiedyś mało znanych, starodruków i roczników dawnych czasopism nie wyłączając. Zdaniem autora, ten informacyjny aspekt pracy antologisty schodzi być może na dalszy plan, pozostaje jednak idea antologii jako dzieła artystycznego.
    Each and every anthology is a tremendous challenge as the expectations of the author and the reader, let alone the experts, historians, or literary critics, prove to be difficult to meet. We are doomed to accept a compromise between a subjective concept and a binding stereotype which often happens to correspond closely to the long-established canon. Revisiting the epoch, movement, or a subject matter is and has always been a perilous task. The author of the article declares himself an experienced humanist who has already compiled some literary collections and arranged to compile more, but for some reason they still have not been brought into being. The situation does not appear to be optimistic as publishing anthologies is far from being a popular project to take on. Working on an anthology is tedious, financially exhausting and most of all it requires a great deal of courage on the part of an editor as they  cannot expect it to be a thriving business. What makes the situation even more upsetting, current anthology releases are threatened by a widespread Internet access, which offers a wide range of rare texts such as old prints and old year’s issues of journals available at the click of a button. However, the author points out that perhaps the informative function of an anthology may be in eclipse, but the concept of an anthology as an artistic creation remains unshattered.

    Przedmiotem artykułu jest analiza form praesens oraz futurum dokonanego i niedokonanego wyekscerpowanych z tekstu Kroniki Supraskiej – zabytku należącego do I redakcji latopisów białorusko-litewskich. W analizowanym tekście formy czasu teraźniejszego oraz przyszłego I uzyskują liczne poświadczenie. Nie odnotowano natomiast żadnej formy II typu futurum niedokonanego. Często formy 3 os. sg. futurum dokonanego użyte są w funkcji praesens historicum.
    The article focuses on the analysis of forms of praesens and futurum perfect and imperfect excerpted from the Supraśl Chronicle, which belongs to the first Belorussian-Lithuanian compilation. In the examined text the forms of present and future I tenses are frequently observed. However, not a single form of futurum imperfect of type II has been found. The forms of third person singular futurum perfect are used as praesens historicum.

    Niniejszy artykuł poświęcony jest charakterystyce form fleksyjnych rzeczowników ŏ-tematowych w XVI-wiecznym zabytku piśmiennictwa zaliczanym do I redakcji latopisów białorusko-litewskich. Celem artykułu jest analiza odmiany rzeczowników rodzaju męskiego i nijakiego z uwzględnieniem zmian w porównaniu do stanu ogólnoruskiego. Do najistotniejszych zjawisk, które znalazły poświadczenie w tekście „Kroniki Supraskiej”, należą: dążenie do wyrównań międzydeklinacyjnych oraz w obrębie samej deklinacji na *ŏ. Prowadzi to do zwiększenia ilości końcówek dla tego samego przypadku, a także wahań ich użycia. W „Kronice Supraskiej” poświadczenie znajdują szczątkowe formy liczby podwójnej. W większości przypadków zostały one wyrównane do liczby mnogiej. Zabytek charakteryzuje się również niekonsekwencją realizacji kategorii żywotności.
    This article discusses the characteristic of ŏ-stem nouns in the 16th-century monument of writing belonging to the first Belorussian-Lithuanian compilation. The purpose of the article is the analysis of the declension of masculine and neuter nouns with regard to alterations in comparison with general Old Russian. The most crucial phenomena which are confirmed in the Supraśl Chronicle are: a tendency to inter-declensional leveling and within the ŏ-declension itself. It leads to an increase in the number of endings of the same case as well as fluctuations in their usage. In the Supraśl Chronicle residual forms of the dual number can be observed. In most cases they were leveled to the plural number. The text is also characterized by the inconsistent usage of the animacy category.

    Opis:
    Single Event Upset is a common source of failure in microprocessor-based systems working in environment with increased radiation level especially in places like accelerators and synchrotrons, where sophisticated digital devices operate closely to the radiation source. One of the possible solutions to increase the radiation immunity of the microprocessor systems is a strict programming approach known as the Software Implemented Hardware Fault Tolerance. Unfortunately, a manual implementation of SIHFT algorithms is difficult and can introduce additional problems with program functionality caused by human errors. In this paper author presents new approach to this problem, that is based on the modifications of the source code of the C language compiler. Protection methods are applied automatically during source code processing at intermediate representation of the compiled program.

    The article presents the mechanism of imitation and compilation used in the creation of Polish medical texts about the plague on the example of texts “O ziołach i mocy ich” by Stefan Falimirz, “Preserwatywa przeciwko morowemu powietrzu doświadczona” by Martinus Clecensis, “Bezoar z łez ludzkich” by Walenty Bartoszewski, and many others. Old Polish medical texts, regardless of their scientific or popular character, were created in order to popularise medical knowledge and convince the reader of the effectiveness of the proposed cure. Analysed texts showed the strong connection of medicine, astrology and religion, as well as the conviction about a direct link between the medicine of the soul and the body. As such, they were often used to reinforce the religious vision of the world.

    Odnaleziony przez autorów w Mińsku fragment muzułmańskiego podręcznego notatnika zwanego chamaiłem, pochodzący z okresu I Rzeczypospolitej, jest autentycznym świadectwem pogranicza kulturowego i językowego. Poświadcza przenikanie się w tekście kodów werbalnego, przedmiotowego i akcjonalnego, łączenie praktyk magicznych muzułmańskich ze słowiańskimi, a na gruncie językowym mieszanie w jednym zdaniu elementów polskich z białoruskimi, przy czym wyrazy słowiańskie zostały zapisane pismem arabskim. Tak więc cytaty z Koranu sąsiadują ze sprzecznym z tradycją muzułmańską zaleceniem użycia alkoholu jako leku, a liczne przepisy na leczenie chorób takich jak wysypka, krwawienie, suchoty, febra, żółtaczka, łamanie kości zalecają użycie odpowiednich ziół, co jest znane lokalnej społeczności słowiańskiej. Występują w badanym chamaile także zalecenia oryginalne, szerzej w kręgu słowiańskim nieznane, co wskazuje na kompilacyjny charakter tego tekstu.
    In Minsk, Byelorussia, the authors of the article have found a fragment of a Muslim pocket notebook called chamaił, dating back to the times of the 1st Polish Republic. It is a genuine piece of evidence for the existence of a cultural and linguistic borderland in that area. It documents interpenetration of the verbal, object and actional codes, combining magic Muslim and Slavonic practices. Linguistically, it evidences the mixing of Polish and Byelorussian elements (Slavonic elements being written in Arabic script). Quotations from the Koran are provided next to advice to use alcohol as medication, which is against the Muslim tradition. Numerous prescriptions to treat such illnesses as a rash, bleeding, tuberculosis, fever, jaundice or bone pains advise to use appropriate herbs, a practice known to the local Slavonic community. The chamaił also contains original pieces of advice, unknown in larger Slavonic circles, which suggests that the text is a compilation.
