    Štúdia sa zameriava na prekladateľské výzvy intralingválneho prevodu medzi periférnou varietou - dialektom - a spisovnou slovenčinou. Materiálom na preklad i prekladovú analýzu boli unikátne šarišské rozprávky, zachované v obci Fintice, publikované nedávno v šarišsko-slovenskej edícii pod názvom Zazračni dzvonček - Zázračný zvonček (FACE 2018). V prvej časti sa autorka sústreďuje na periférne aspekty analyzovaného textu a zdôrazňuje dôležitosť zachovania takýchto zabudnutých literárnych prejavov pre identitu komunity a pre zachovanie kultúrneho dedičstva komunity. Druhá časť štúdie pozostáva z translatologickej analýzy, ktorá pomenúva rozdiely medzi dvoma varietami, ktoré sa objavujú najmä na morfo-syntaktickej a lexikálnej rovine, ako aj v stupni expresivity výrazu. Pomenované špecifiká robia z periférneho nárečového textu jedinečný odraz mimojazykovej skutočnosti, ktorý sa oplatí zachovať.
    W artykule opisano wyzwania tłumaczenia wewnątrzjęzykowego - z dialektu peryferyjnego na urzędowy, standardowy język słowacki - na przykładzie tłumaczenia baśni z regionu Szarysz, zachowanych w wiosce Fintice. Baśnie te, zatytułowane Zazračni dzvonček - Zázračný zvonček, ukazały się nakładem wydawnictwa FACE w 2018 roku w formie dwujęzycznej (z tłumaczeniem na język słowacki). W pierwszej części artykułu wyszczególniono peryferyjne aspekty analizowanego tekstu i podkreślono potrzebę wydawania zapomnianych utworów literackich dla podtrzymania tożsamości społeczności i jej dziedzictwa kulturowego. W drugiej części artykułu zawarto analizę przekładu, wskazując różnice między oryginałem a translacją na poziomie morfosyntaktycznym i leksykalnym oraz różnice w stopniu ekspresji.
    The present study focuses on the challenges of the intralingual translation from the peripheral dialect into official, standard Slovak that has been performed on unique Šariš region dialect fairy tales preserved in the village Fintice. They have been published recently in a bilingual form with their Slovak translation Zazračni dzvonček - Zázračný zvonček (FACE 2018). The first part of the paper points out the peripheral aspects of the analysed text and stresses the importance of presenting such forgotten literary pieces for the community identity as well as for preserving community cultural heritage. The second part of the paper focuses on translation analysis and differences between the two texts on morpho-syntactic and lexical level, and in the degree of expressiveness.

    The main aim of the article is to present tourism focusing on learning about the cultural heritage of the Jewish community in Krakow. The article presents and discusses several important issues. The importance of cultural tourism, which plays an increasingly important role in the city’s tourism sector, has been considered. In the article there are also included some remains of Jewish culture in the Kazimierz district of Cracow, which are very popular among the visitors. A significant increase in the number of Jewish communities coming to Poland, including Krakow, has been observed since the early 1990s, which was caused by favourable political changes and a desire to learn about Polish history. The article pays special attention to the characteristics of Jewish culture and the arrival of Jewish communities in the city of Krakow. The analysis of this tourist market was possible thanks to the research carried out from December 2017 to May 2018. The research also allowed us to select a number of factors, important from the point of view of Jewish culture, which determine the decisions of guests to stay in a given hotel facility. The article may become a motivation for further deliberations covering the indicated issues.
    Głównym celem artykułu jest przedstawienie turystyki skupiającej się w kierunku poznania dziedzictwa kulturowego społeczności żydowskiej na terenie Krakowa. W artykule przedstawiono oraz przedyskutowano kilka ważnych kwestii. Rozważaniom poddano znaczenie turystyki kulturowej, odgrywającej coraz większą rolę w sektorze turystycznym miasta. Wskazano także pozostałości kultury żydowskiej na terenie krakowskiej dzielnicy Kazimierz, cieszące się dużym zainteresowaniem wśród odwiedzających. Znaczny wzrost przyjazdów społeczeństw żydowskich do Polski, w tym Krakowa można zaobserwować od początku lat 90 ubiegłego wieku, co zostało spowodowane korzystnymi zmianami politycznymi oraz chęcią poznania polskiej historii. W artykule szczególna uwagę poświęcono charakterystyce kultury żydowskiej oraz przyjazdom społeczności żydowskich do miasta Krakowa. Analiza owego rynku turystycznego była możliwa dzięki przeprowadzonym badaniom wykonanym od grudnia 2017 roku do maja 2018r. Badania pozwoliły również na wyselekcjonowanie kilku istotnych, z punktu widzenia kultury żydowskiej, czynników rozstrzygających decyzje gości o pobycie w danym obiekcie hotelowym. Artykułu może stać się motywacją do kolejnych rozważań obejmujących wskazaną problematykę.

    This article analyzes activities focused on cultural heritage resources, undertaken from a local position. The theoretical considerations refer to the example of the Koniaków lace. This handicraft, despite the changing reality, for more than 100 years has continuously been a manifestation of the region’s tradition. Local lace makers adapt their forms to new emerging needs. The educational or commercial activity concentrated around the lace makes this skill an important bonding element for the local community. The lively activity of dissemination and promotion of the Koniaków lace resulted in an entry to UNESCO’s National List of Intangible Cultural Heritage in 2017. The Koniaków lace also became one of the elements representing the Silesian region at the 2022 EXPO in Dubai. These events are the result of cultural policies implemented at the level of the institution and the result of the activity of the local community, influencing and shaping the frequently emotional relationships within it. The purpose of this article is to present practices using Koniaków lace, which are related to such issues as cultural policy, heritage management, or community empowerment.

    The article will analyze the principal problems concerning research on the cultural heritage of displaced communities in Europe from the perspective of the Vlach minority. Based on the field research conducted in several countries of Europe (e.g. Greece, Macedonia, Romania, Ukraine, Slovakia and Poland), I will present the main classification of the Vlach tangible heritage with special attention paid to the most important cultural monuments, including religious building developments (churches, icons, small religious architecture). I will portray the difficulties found in protecting this heritage and the role of cultural institutions in its preservation and exposition. It can be stated that the example of the Vlachs perfectly illustrates the complex processes related to cultures which were overwhelmingly subjugated by their neighbours and lost the fight. A neighbour, usually representing the culture of the majority, was stronger culturally, economically, politically and often militarily. The article focuses on the phenomena which classical anthropology used to inspect, claiming that its role is to protect what is fading into oblivion. Thus, the analysis of the Vlach culture presented herein refers to a much wider reflection, which is a synergy of ethnography, ethnology and cultural anthropology, and to the critical studies on heritage which are emerging in Poland.

Katalizator ten często przybiera formę niezwykłego zjawiska, wydarzenia lub atrakcji, i staje się bodźcem dla intensywnego rozwoju politycznego i gospodarczego, przekształcającego nowe przestrzenie na potrzeby turyzmu. W pewnej niewielkiej miejscowości w Nowej Szkocji, w Kanadzie, tym katalizatorem było przyznanie w 1995 r. tytułu Miejsca Dziedzictwa Światowego przez UNESCO. Poniższy artykuł prezentuje badania postaw i percepcji mieszkańców dotyczących tej nominacji, rozwoju turyzmu, konsekwencji i zmian w miejscowości 10 lat po otrzymaniu prestiżowej nagrody.
    Often, a catalyst emerges as a stimulating force behind rapid tourism development. This catalyst frequently takes shape as an unusual occurrence. event or attraction, and becomes a trigger for vigorous political and economic development activity to transform new spaces for tourism. In one small rural community in Nova Scotia, Canada, this catalyst was its designation in 1995 as UNESCO World Heritage Site. This article presents research that examined residents' attitudes and perceptions about their UNESCO designation, tourism development, impacts and change in the community ten years after the prestigious award.

    The article presents various ways of defining cultural security, which is one of the human primary needs represented in the literature on the subject. It focuses on explaining the meaning of the term “monument”, which is defined and understood in many ways. The history of the Land of Liw and the Liw Castle is presented through the analysis of historical literature. Furthermore, the article discusses Otto Warpechowski’s contribution to the protection of the Liw Castle, which is the cultural heritage of the Mazovia region and the entire Poland, against total destruction planned by the Nazi authorities. The article reveals the impact that the Castle in Liw has on the feeling of cultural security of the local community, and describes cultural activities undertaken at the Liw Castle aimed at promoting the sense of safety, cultural identity and belonging to the Polish cultural community and a local community.
    Artykuł pokazuje różne sposoby definiowania bezpieczeństwa kulturowego będącego jedną z naczelnych potrzeb człowieka oraz reprezentowaną w literaturze przedmiotu. Skupia się na wyjaśnieniu znaczenia terminu „zabytek”, który jest definiowany i rozumiany na wiele sposobów. Poprzez analizę literatury historycznej przedstawione zostały dzieje ziemi liwskiej i zamku liwskiego. Artykuł porusza również kwestię wkładu Otto Warpechowskiego w ochronę zamku liwskiego przed całkowitym zniszczeniem, jakie było zamiarem władz nazistowskich a będącego dziedzictwem kulturowym regionu Mazowsza i całej Polski. Artykuł ukazuje, jaką rolę odgrywa Zamek w Liwie w poczuciu bezpieczeństwa kulturowego społeczności lokalnej oraz jakie działania kulturalne są podejmowane na zamku liwskim, aby podnieść poziom poczucia bezpieczeństwa, tożsamości kulturowej oraz przynależności do wspólnoty kulturowej Polski, społeczności lokalnej.

    Opis:
    The study on Panemunė Castle examined this heritage object in an entirety of its values and their impact on the environment, with a possibility of their synergism for the benefit of the place. It found the contemporary national heritage protection framework failing to grant equal attention to elements constituting the multifaceted worth of the castle as a property, inclusive of the social, cultural, artistic values, the engagement of local communities, the important role of cultural tourism and the image of the place, and economic efficiency. The analysis of the different facets one by one and collectively has brought to the conclusion that the social, cultural, artistic and economic values of Panemunė Castle as a heritage property influence their environment, but are not experienced as a powerful driving force of the contemporary heritage protection. The process remains fragmented, sporadic and underdeveloped, with its elements failing to achieve synergism for the place.

    The UNESCO Convention for the Safeguarding of the Intangible Cultural Heritage from 2003 was ratified by Poland in 2011. Since then numerous activities have been undertaken to popularise the knowledge of the Convention, its objectives and opportunities of promoting knowledge referring to cultural heritage. In Poland, the Ministry of Culture and National Heritage and the National Heritage Institute are engaged in implementing its postulates. Members of non-governmental organizations, including members of the Polish Ethnological Society, actively participate in these activities. The article discusses circumstances accompanying the introduction of the Convention in Poland and characterizes main activities for its popularisation.
     Konwencja UNESCO z 2003 roku w sprawie ochrony niematerialnego dziedzictwa kulturowego została ratyfikowana przez Polskę w 2011 roku. Od tego czasu podejmowane są liczne działania na rzecz upowszechnienia wiedzy o Konwencji, jej celach i możliwościach promowania wiedzy dotyczącej dziedzictwa kulturowego. W Polsce wdrażaniem jej postulatów zajmuje się Ministerstwo Kultury i Dziedzictwa Narodowego oraz Narodowy Instytut Dziedzictwa. W działania aktywnie włączają się przedstawiciele organizacji pozarządowych, w tym członkinie i członkowie Polskiego Towarzystwa Ludoznawczego. Artykuł omawia okoliczności wprowadzenia Konwencji w Polsce oraz charakteryzuje główne działania na rzecz jej upowszechniania.

    Although cultural tourism has been known since the very beginning of the European civilisation (the Ancient Greeks and Romans peregrines’), nowadays cultural events are a great attraction not only for a local community, but they are also a strong motivation for tourists to travel. It seems that one of the special research value is to consider how deeply cultural events, connected with ‘high art’ (museums, classical music, art events of superior quality), motivate a local community and tourists. Therefore, the main aim of our survey was to recognize the role and contribution of top cultural events (on the example of ‘the Chopin Year 2010’) in marketing a city’s image and to evaluate its significance as a tourist attraction and its meaning to the local community. To examine the cultural tourism from visitors and the local community perspective and to obtain primary data, we undertook the explanatory and evaluative research. We also used (as secondary data) an academic literature review results, statistic information and materials obtained from the Chopin Museum in Warsaw, the Fryderyk Chopin Association and the Fryderyk Chopin Institute. This paper describes the main outcomes of the survey conducted in 2011–2015. In the past, cultural activities were rarely regarded as part of the tourism industry in Warsaw. The International Fryderyk Chopin Festivals and the International Fryderyk Chopin Piano Competitions were considered as different. From the beginning, they were aimed to be widely recognised international events, rather than attractions organised to meet the needs of the residents and domestic tourists. However, ‘the Chopin Year 2010’ celebrations remained highly exceptional as many different events took place, including ‘street music.’ They were aimed broader than to satisfy only a rather narrow niche of professional musicians. In 2010 both the International Fryderyk Chopin Festival and the 16th International Fryderyk Chopin Piano Competition were events not only shaped for special groups of music lovers, but also for the local community who was able to actively participate in these two big festivals.
    Tradycje podróży są bez wątpienia motywacją dla doznań kulturowych, znaną od początków rozwoju turystyki, obecnie coraz częściej stanowiącą podstawowy cel. Zatem ważne wydaje się zbadanie, jakie walory kulturowe i jakie wydarzenia są silnymi magnesami dla wyboru danej destynacji. Innym zagadnieniem jest poszukiwanie odpowiedzi na pytania: czy są to atrakcje interesujące jednakowo dla turystów i dla społeczności lokalnej? W jakim stopniu mają udział w popularyzacji kultury, edukacji, promocji miejsca, kreowaniu jego pozytywnego wizerunku? Kolejną kwestią, którą jak się wydaje warto rozważyć, jest udział nie tylko kultury popularnej (koncerty gwiazd muzyki popularnej), ale i znaczenie ‘kultury wysokiej’ (wystaw, festiwali muzyki klasycznej, wydarzeń artystycznych o ponadlokalnym znaczeniu) w motywacjach podejmowanych podróży. Celem naszych badań, podjętych w ramach projektu statutowego ds.-144 AWF, było poznanie wpływu Roku Jubileuszowego Fryderyka Chopina 2010 w Warszawie na rozwój turystyki kulturowej.

    Local resources of gminas from the region of the Świętokrzyskie Mountains are predominantly based on tradition and folk culture as well as the wealth of cultural and environmental values. The aim of this analysis was to evaluate available local resources of the region of the Świętokrzyskie Mountains, which boost creation and innovation of development of tourism. It was based on statistical data for the period of 2010–2014 obtained from the Local Data Bank of the Central Statistical Office of Poland, directory of local resources from the Catalogue of Local Resources of the region of the Świętokrzyskie Mountains. The first part presents theoretical background, introduces terminology and describes the area of the study. The second part presents results of evaluation of local resources and tourism.
    Zasoby lokalne gmin regionu Gór Świętokrzyskich, oparte są w większości na tradycji i kulturze ludowej oraz bogactwie walorów przyrodniczych i kulturowych. Celem analizy była ocena stanu zasobów lokalnych regionu Gór Świętokrzyskich, których wykorzystanie pobudza procesy kreowania i innowacyjności w rozwoju turystyki. W opracowaniu wykorzystano dane statystyczne pozyskane z BDL GUS za lata 2010–2014, spis stanu zasobów lokalnych zawarty w Katalogu zasobów lokalnych regionu Gór Świętokrzyskich. W pierwszej części pracy omówiono zagadnienia teoretyczne, związane z terminologią uwzględnioną w badaniu oraz dokonano charakterystyki obszaru badań. W drugiej zaprezentowano wyniki badań oceny zasobów lokalnych i ruchu turystycznego.

The article highlights the role of this online platform in enhancing research accessibility, facilitating academic scholarship, and promoting cultural preservation as well as underlines the bibliography's impact on both scholarly research and community awareness of Old Believers. It reflects on the broader implications of digital bibliographies in preserving intangible cultural heritage and fostering diverse historical narratives.
