Opis:
Among combat vehicles high values have tracked combat vehicles. They are the most universal means of combat, both in offensive and in defense actions. About the usefulness of tanks decide the main battle features, which will include fire power, protection and mobility. The fire power is a feature that describes the quantity, quality and efficiency in terms of the main weapons system. Mobility of tanks reflects the dynamics of motion and manoeuvr ability. On the mobility a large impact has: engine, transmission and tracked drive system. Protections (armour, together with additional systems) decide on the resistance to the enemy fire and the survival ability of the vehicle, crew and internal equipment. This paper presents the impact loads on a load -bearing structures of combat vehicle. Load is generated by the anti-tank mine shock wave. Models ofobjects were worked out using a method of the finite element, assuming the linear characteristics of elements. Studies of loads of the structure of the special vehicle body were carried outfor the selected, the most common effects of explosives. Worked out research allows: determining the pressure distribution, evaluating the impact resistance of the hulls of vehicles, predicting the results of impact action, identifying the types of damage, designing or modernization of the hulls of vehicles.

The growth of modularity and unifications of designed and introduced fighting vehicles is possible as a result of technical and technological achievements and changing conditions of present war operation. This factors require quick repair of damaged vehicles and interoperability of operations. The review of present conceptions of internal and external modularity of modern tactical fighting vehicles was introduced in the publication. External modularity was used for generating new families of tracked and wheeled vehicles and their exchangeable of internal modular sets: suspension and propulsion system, crew cabin and module with equipments. Internal modularity consist in application various length of vehicle bodies and simultaneously their different volumes and application of many unified units designed for existing vehicles. Implementation of hybrid propulsion systems for military vehicles and application many sources of energy on the board are connected with electric lines enlarges the possibilities of composition of the vehicles interiors by application many modular components which can be mounted in the most convenient places. Ideas of the modular construction of combat vehicles assure the maximum enlargement of repair and modernization compliance, and consequently the maintenance in line of maximum number modern and fully efficient vehicles.

Basic problems connected with using of electromagnetic cannons in the future fighting vehicles were introduced in the report. Such cannons make possible getting a lot of larger escape speed of bullets in the comparison with classic powder cannons using smaller quantity of the energetic material (fuel, powder). That is why applied can be bullets about the smaller mass. It is possible to load larger number of such bullets on the vehicle board also. The thermal signature of the vehicle is smaller during the shot also. However application electromagnetic guns requires still solution many technological problems connected with production of the impulses of electric energy about large power, achievement high level of durability, exactitude and the reliability of barrels, the flow of energy vehicle and the influence of the magnetic field on the staff and equipment inside and outside the vehicle. Electromagnetic guns are anticipated as main future armament of combatant vehicles. They will be all-important element of future, entirely electrified vehicle, known as "All Electric Combat Vehicle". Challenges soluble are enhancement of the power of produced energy, transmission of energy, durability and the stability of parameters of barrels and improvements of missile design. Essential advantages of these guns will cause that they will be able to become the basic armament of future combat vehicles.

Opis:
The following study is devoted to the phenomenon of unmanned aerial vehicles used throughout known history on the battlefield or for military purposes. The purpose of the following text is to familiarise the reader with an overview with the contemporary and historical employment of the unmanned vehicles on the battlefield. The study also aims to show that the concept of unmanned combat vehicles, also unmanned aerial combat vehicles, is far more ancient than is it is widely known. The article is based on theoretical research methods, mostly multinational academic literature. The author starts with an introduction on the role of limiting soldiers’ fatalities and the concept of removing military men from the battleground. Then, the author presents known examples of using unmanned ships in battles from Thucydides’ times to the invention of the Hell-burner of Antwerp. Further, the case of first unmanned combat aerial vehicle is presented, the bombing balloons from the nineteenth century, followed by a more contemporary study of the military use of unmanned aircrafts. The article is concluded with an analysis of the present employment of drones when they tend to substitute manned aircrafts on various occasions, especially when a mission is deemed “dull, dirty or dangerous”.
