    Autorzy rozpatrują strukturę zadania bojowego jako logiczny łańcuch przedmiotowych modeli zaangażowanych w jego realizację: strzelec trzymający w rękach broń małokalibrową skierowaną na cel, z celownikiem oraz czynnikiem niszczącym (amunicją). W takim przypadku strzelec ma wizualny kontakt z celem przez celownik optyczny i przestrzeń powietrzną. Jak widać, kluczową rolę w tym łańcuchu odgrywa strzelec. Celem artykułu jest ocena wpływu czynnika ludzkiego na skuteczność bojową w łańcuchu misji bojowej z punktu widzenia podstawowej teorii. W artykule jest rozpatrzony pewien zamknięty cykl wykonania misji bojowej za pomocą broni strzeleckiej z celownikiem optycznym. Prawdopodobieństwo wykonania misji bojowej jest oceniane biorąc pod uwagę poprawność przygotowania danych strzelania, wykrywania, rozpoznawania i identyfikacji celu, poprawnego celowania i trafienia podczas strzelania.
    Authors are considering the combat task structureas a logical chain of the object models participating in its execution: shooter with small arms with optical sight in his hands, explosive items (ammunition) which are directed to target. Shooter through opticalsight and air environment is contacting visually with a target. As we can see, the key role in this chain belongs to the shooter. Paper purpose is to assess influence of human factor to combat effectiveness in the chain of combat task execution from a view point of fundamental theory. A closed cycle of combat task execution using small arms with optical sight is considered in the paper. Probability of combat task execution is assessed taking into consideration the reliability of shooting data preparation, target detection,recognition and identification, correct aiming and impact at shooting.

    A scientific framework for this study is the Humanistic Theory of Martial Arts, and the psychology of sport using the concepts of goal, task and success. The problem and aim of this study was an explanation of “perception of success” in groups of adults practising martial arts. Is perception of success influenced by the respondents’ social background or the type of martial art practised? Would there be any differences in results depending on their country of origin and residence, and if so, what results? The research was done within the framework of the IMACSSS.1A/2011: “Social determinants of participation in martial arts schools and clubs”. The tool was Perception of Success Questionnaire, which was used to survey a number of respondents from the United States, the Czech Republic and Poland, who were selected randomly and participated voluntarily. The statements and calculations have been ranked by more or less contact forms of martial arts. The results obtained in this study indicate a poor relationship between perception of success and the type of fighting style practised and a measurable relationship between the perception of success and social origin. There is a weak relationship in perception of success by respondents from American or European cultures.

    Opis:
    Wooded-lake area is a relatively challenging for troops, since its distinctive character causes the necessity to employ specific tactics. A number of obstacles on a given ground and low road density contribute to limited operational mobility and the necessity of fighting in opposite and often remote directions while equally employing helicopters to a large extent. Therefore, both planning and establishment of military activities on wooded-lakes areas create a favorable opportunity to employ unconventional tactics, develop the initiative, and stimulate various activities.The data included in the study presented hereby was verified in the course of the military rehearsals held at the National Defense University in years past, the scenarios of which were located in the Masurian Lake District. Not only did the above-mentioned fact enable the exploration of the crucial aspects affecting the operations of helicopter-borne combat assaults and air assault task forces in the circumstances, but it also helped to identify the challenges faced by such elements of combat formations carrying out both offensive and defensive activities on wooded-lake terrain. In the author’s point of view, the conclusions drawn may be as well employed in the processes of planning and fighting in more convenient area’s conditions.
