Niniejszy artykuł przedstawia analizę identyfikacji przestrzennej, traktowanej jako proces utożsamiania się jednostki z przestrzenią przez przyjęcie roli mieszkańca określonego terytorium, jak również poczucie łączności ze zbiorowością terytorialną stanowiącą dla jednostki społeczną grupę odniesienia. Przedmiotem analizy są zatem dwa wymiary identyfikacji przestrzennej: identyfikacja indywidualna i kolektywna (zbiorowa). Wynikiem przeprowadzonej analizy jest odpowiedz´ na pytanie, jaki jest zakres spójności przestrzennych odniesień mieszkańców Łodzi. W tym celu utworzono typologię uwzględniającą wskazane aspekty identyfikacji przestrzennej. Uzyskane wyniki prezentują, iż wśród badanych dominuje kategoria uwzględniająca proces utożsamiania się z miastem w wymiarze indywidualnym i traktowaniem zbiorowości sąsiedzkiej jako grupy odniesienia. Należy zatem stwierdzić brak spójności pomiędzy wymiarem indywidualnym i kolektywnym identyfikacji przestrzenne mieszkańców Łodzi.
The paper deals with the analysis of spatial identification treated as the process of individual identification with the particular space by taking the role of the inhabitant of the particular territory as well as the sense of the connection with the territorial community which makes the social group of positive reference for the individual. The paper analyses two measures of spatial identification: individual identification and collective one. The analyse results in answering the question what is the range of coherence of spatial references of Lodz inhabitants. In order to do that the typology including indicated aspects of spatial identification was created. Obtained results present that within investigated individuals category including the process of identification with the city in individual measure and treating the neighbour community as the reference group dominates. That is why it is necessary to notice the lack of the coherence between individual and collective measure of spatial identification of Lodz inhabitants.

Opis:
The article is devoted to the description of Polish families in view of the National Census 2002 and it takes into account the changes, which occurred in the family structure since the National Census 1988 and other prior censuses. We have particularly focused on the following issues: the family composition of households, types of families in house-holds, families with dependent children, families in collective households. The article also summarizes the main conclusions regarding the current structure of Polish families and the characteristic directions of changes. We found the continuation of nuclearization of families, the decline in the number of households with multiple children and young families, rise in the number of people living in informal relationships and a significant rise in the number of families deriving their income from other sources than earned income. Key words: household, family-based household, collective household, family, young families, reconstructed family, family with dependent children, marriages without children, partners with children, partners without children, single-parent families, source of income of families.
Opracowanie poświęcone jest charakterystyce polskich rodzin w świetle wyników Narodowego Spisu Powszechnego 2002 przy uwzględnieniu zmian, jakie zaszły w zakresie ich struktury od czasu przeprowadzenia spisów poprzednich (przede wszystkim spisu z 1988) roku). W opracowaniu dokonano analizy następujących zagadnień: skład rodzinny gospodarstw domowych, typy rodzin w gospodarstwach domowych, rodziny z dziećmi na utrzymaniu, rodziny w gospodarstwach zbiorowych. W podsumowaniu przedstawiono najważniejsze wnioski dotyczące aktualnej struktury polskich rodzin i charakterystycznych kierunków jej przemian. Stwierdzono m.in.: kontynuację procesu nuklearyzacji rodzin, spadek udziału rodzin wielodzietnych oraz rodzin młodych, wzrost liczby osób żyjących w związkach nieformalnych, wyraźny wzrost udziału rodzin utrzymujących się ze źródeł niezarobkowych.

Though it is laborious to examine the culture of the school, researchers have been endeavouring to empirically apprehend it since the 1960’s. A variety of research jobs have been carried out, of various starting points, ways of materialisation, and conclusions. The present text indicates a way of classifying these studies according to the purposes they had been assigned. Though the list of examples is not entirely complete nor is the classification definite, a conclusion is clear and evident: in most cases, the culture of the school is not examined in order to grasp this culture itself. Much more often, the culture of the school is examined as a starting point, a pre-condition, or a tool to explore another object of the researcher’s interest outside the culture itself, such as the quality and evaluation of the school’s overall performance, the quality of the learning process, or the school’s developmental potential.

Opis:
The article considers the problem of defining the stylistic peculiarities of the folklore text. As criteria for objective investigation of the problem the author suggests using the functional approach, presupposing the study of any kind of text in two inseparable aspects - textual and extralinguistic. In accordance with this approach the author distinguishes the following basie extralinguistic factors revealed in the folklore text: folklore thinking, character of the folklore communication and collective authorship, which together determine specific character of the folklore communicative act participants - speech subject and addressee. The author focuses on the predominating features of the folklore thinking, which determine the unity of the generalizing method in folklore within which complex semantic structure of the folklore word is organized as well as a specific type of depiction- literary-generalizing. Influence of the folklore communication is performed in natura! ways and can be characterized by continuity and synchronizing the acts of performance and perception; heterogenie character, activity of both participants. The consequences of it are examined by the author as literary syncretism of the folklore text, the evidence of the autor communicational text features, hypertext structure as well as peculiarities of realizing the phenomena of subject and address. Analyzing extralinguistic factors the author comes to conclusion of granting the folklore speech the status of stylistic variety of literary speech with its own specific features.

Opis:
Author analyze the processes of development of the collective memory of “Solidarity” and the martial law and try to determine their place in collective memory of Polish history. The analyze is based on data from five sociological surveys made in two periods divided by sixteenth years in which communist regime has collapsed and a new political regime emerged. The analyzes shows the ambivalent evaluation of this two events which diminish with time and “Solidarity” is more univocally seen as the positive event of Polish history and martial law as the negative one. In spite of this, the author suggest that there is no reason to think that ambivalence towards “Solidarity” and martial law will disappear completely.

Correlations between opposite charge particles emitted in ultrarelativistic heavy-ion collisions can be used as a measure of the transverse flow present at the time of the decoupling of the charged pair. The width of the charge balance function in azimuthal angle depends on the transverse velocity and the temperature of the emitting source. Asymmetry in the balance function between in plane and out of plane emission can serve as a probe of the azimuthal asymmetry of the velocity field in the source.

The cumulant method is applied to study elliptic flow (v2) in Au+Au collisions at s = 200 AGeV, with the UrQMD model. We find that the four and six-particle cumulants are good measures of the real elliptic flow over a wide range of centralities except for the most central and very peripheral events. There the cumulant method is affected by the v2 fluctuations. In mid-central collisions, the four and six-particle cumulants are shown to give a good estimation of the true differential v2, especially at large transverse momentum, where the two-particle cumulant method is heavily affected by the non-flow effects.
