Students of applied linguistics at Adam Mickiewicz University in Poznań, Poland, and students of the Faculty of School Education at the Philipps-University of Marburg, Germany, in cooperation with the Warsaw Rising Museum, took part in the German-Polish project-based seminar “The Warsaw Uprising – in search of traces 70 years later” in Warsaw, Poland. The end product of their cooperation was a set of topic-related teaching materials designed for secondary or tertiary education learners in Poland and Germany. The paper discusses selected learning potentials of this cross-cultural encounter on the basis of a quantitative and qualitative analysis of the students’ questionnaires and learning diaries.

The paper tries to sum up the celebrations to commemorate the twentieth anniversary of the Third Republic in 1989 and to present them in the context of the ‘remembrance policy’,meaning the endeavors various circles are engaged in to shape Polish society’s collective memory. The authors analyze the celebrations in terms of several selected aspects. The first one concerns the academic field: conferences, seminars and resulting publications. Another aspect refers to the official celebrations organized by state institutions. The third is about the response and debates taking place in newspapers at that time. The review of different ways of commemorating the anniversary results in the conclusion that they were all strongly politicized and used for the purposes of the current political struggle. This was particularly clear during the official celebrations, divided into those organized by the government and president respectively, yet even the events organized under academic auspices were not free from political manipulation. Therefore, the celebrations corroborated the fact that 1989 has not strongly registered in Poles’ awareness as a generational experience that positively organizes the collective memory; the celebrations did not stimulate a nationwide reflection on the achieve- ments of the era commenced with the events of 1989. They did not make a contribution to creating in the collective memory a ‘national consensus of pride’ at the regained statehood reminiscent of that of the Second Republic.

Europejski dialog społeczny jest zjawiskiem nierozerwalnie związanym z procesem integracji europejskiej. Jego natura jest inna od specyfiki klasycznych rokowań zbiorowych. Ma on ze swojej istoty charakter o wiele bardziej polityczny – powiązany jest z aktywnością Komisji Europejskiej i Parlamentu Europejskiego. Jakość i ilość porozumień zawieranych w ramach europejskiego dialogu społecznego nie jest satysfakcjonująca. Wynika to z rosnącego oporu europejskiego biznesu przeciwko podejmowaniu działań, które potencjalnie mogłyby przyczynić się do budowania unijnego sytemu stosunków przemysłowych. Zdaniem autorów związki zawodowe w Europie stoją przed dylematem wynikającym z postrzegania przez ich członków tożsamości europejskiej jako podrzędnej wobec tożsamości krajowej. Ponieważ coraz większa liczba decyzji, które kształtują realia polityki społecznej i gospodarczej, zapada w Brukseli, kwestią kluczową jest tworzenie wspólnego, silnego ponadnarodowego głosu pracowników.
The European social dialogue (EDS) constitutes a phenomenon closely connected to the process of European integration. Its nature is different from the classic idea of collective bargaining. It is much more political - related to the activity of the European Commission and the European Parliament. One can say that the quality and quantity of agreements concluded within the EDS is not satisfactory. This is due to the increasing resistance of European business against taking action that could potentially lead to the development of the EU’s industrial relations system. According to the authors’ point of view - trade unions in Europe are facing a serious dilemma arising from the fact that their members see European identity as being subordinate to the national identity. As a growing number of decisions that actually shape the realities of social and economic policy are taken in Brussels - a key issue is to create a joint, strong and transnational voice of European workers.

Стаття присвячена проблемі культурного спротиву та модернізації української національної ідентичности за умов посилення імперського тиску в постуенерівський період. Ідеться про стратегії співіснування з переможцями, вироблені в колі київських неокласиків, про настанови на збереження культурного суверенітету попри демонстрування політичної лояльности до режиму. Поняття культурного спротиву виробляється у цій статті з допомогою аналітичного інструментарію постколоніалізму та студій пам’яти. Неокласики, зокрема Микола Зеров, зосередилися на простеженні європеїстських інтенцій вітчизняної літератури. Упривілейованим місцем спогаду стає у поезії Зерова та Рильського Київ. Для цієї мистецької спільноти він завжди зоставався культурною столицею, а реваншистське позбавлення міста столичного маєстату вони завжди сприймали як наругу переможців. Сам літературний побут неокласиків був інваріантом внутрішньої еміграції. Адресатом їхніх текстів бачився свій упривілейований читач, що також означало протистояння панівним концепціям масового, пролетарського мистецтва.
The article is devoted to the problem of cultural resistance and modernization of Ukrainian national identity in the conditions of intensification of imperial grip in the post-UNR period, after national revolution. It deals with the strategies of coexistence with the winners, which were developed in the community of neoclassics in Kyiv, about the preservation of cultural sovereignty while demonstrating political loyalty to the regime. The concept of cultural resistance is interpreted with the additional analytical tools of post-colonial studies and memory studies. Neoclassicists, especially Mykola Zerov, focused on the Europecentered trends in the country’s literature. Kyiv became a place of privilege in the poetry of Zerov and Rylskyi. For this creative community the city was still the cultural capital, and the revanchist divestiture of the city’s capital status was perceived as an act of victors’ revenge. The literary life itself appears to be an invariant of the inner emigration of neoclassics. The addressee of their texts was imagined as a privileged reader, which also meant resistance to dominant concepts of mass, proletarian art.

This paper addresses collective emotional intelligence as a construct that establishes a relationship among members of an organisational community and how this is a path for improving firms' performance. It is based on the premise that several factors influence the selected to solve a problem in any decision-making process. In addition to analysing the practical values that the information provides, it is also subject to the emotional responses that the decision-makers may have. These samples make up the emotional intelligence transferred from individuals and their organisational interactions to the organisation itself. This paper seeks to find the relationship between the variables of Collective Emotional Intelligence (CEI) with Subjective Well-Being (SWB) and Perceived Happiness (HP). To this end, a data collection instrument was applied to 384 workers in technology-based companies in northern Mexico. A descriptive, correlational, and multivariate analysis, including SEM study, was carried out to validate the hypotheses. The results validate the importance of SWB and HP in developing CEI and suggest specific actions on workers' perceptions. These actions meet expectations and requirements expressed by workers and aim to increase organizational intelligence and CEI to improve decisionmaking.
Niniejszy artykuł omawia zbiorową inteligencję emocjonalną jako konstrukt, który ustanawia relacje pomiędzy członkami społeczności organizacyjnej oraz wskazuje dlaczego jest to ścieżka do poprawy wyników firm. Opiera się na założeniu, że na wybór rozwiązania problemu w dowolnym procesie decyzyjnym wpływa kilka czynników. Poza analizą praktycznych wartości, których dostarczają informacje, podlegają one również reakcjom emocjonalnym, które mogą wystąpić u decydentów. . Próbki te składają się na inteligencję emocjonalną przeniesioną z jednostek i ich interakcji organizacyjnych na samą organizację. W niniejszej pracy podjęto próbę znalezienia związku między zmiennymi zbiorowej inteligencji emocjonalnej (CEI) z subiektywnym dobrostanem (SWB) i postrzeganym szczęściem (HP). W tym celu zastosowano narzędzie do gromadzenia danych w odniesieniu do 384 pracowników firm technologicznych w północnym Meksyku. W celu potwierdzenia hipotez przeprowadzono analizę opisową, korelacyjną i wielowymiarową , w tym badanie SEM. Wyniki potwierdzają znaczenie SWB i HP w rozwoju CEI i sugerują konkretne działania w zakresie postrzegania pracowników. Działania te spełniają oczekiwania i wymagania wyrażone przez pracowników i mają na celu zwiększenie inteligencji organizacyjnej i CEI w celu usprawnienia procesu decyzyjnego.

The twentieth century witnessed the birth of a feminine strand of autofictional writing coming from the ancient colonies, of which Fantasia: An Algerian Cavalcade, by the francophone Algerian writer Assia Djebar, and the Arabic Memory in the flesh, by the Algerian writer Ahlam Mosteghanemi, are emblematic. Whether it be in the Arabic or French language, the women writers of the Maghreb risked writing an autobiography in a culture that stresses the anonymity of women. The coming to writing for these women is often accompanied by a desire – or necessity – to revisit the collective past from a female perspective. For these women, literary writing also meant writing their stories on the palimpsest of dominant history, in order to carve their place in it. To fight the forced amnesia of historical discourse constructed by man, they must create works that give voice to the stories silenced by the totalizing male narrative. Djebar and Mosteghanemi both insist that the emancipation of women is possible only if the subaltern woman becomes subject not object of her story/history.

The article examines the Phalène or Poetic Act, a mode of poetry as collective action formulated by the poet Godofredo Iommi. The authors analyse how the Phalène opened a creative heritage from the early experiences carried out by Iommi in Europe during the 1960s to the current poetic endeavours of the School of Architecture and Design PUCV in Valparaíso, Chile. Through analysing the Phalène, the article provides new perspectives on the relationship between poetry and urban space. About this relationship, the authors propose the Phalène as a poetic act of placemaking in which the ephemeral presence of the uttered word unleashes ludic interactions in the participants provoking the construction of commonality and the resignification of the place.

This article aims to show the problem of self-determination of the people in the light of contemporary standards of international law, as well as to compare them with the factual and legal basis of regaining independence by Poland in 1918. The principle of the right of people to self-determination as one of the basic rules of international law was proclaimed only after World War II, however, concepts conferring on the population living in a given territory to decide about themselves appeared before the French Revolution. The issue of the right to self-determination of people is extremely complex — after World War II, there was in this respect the development of treaty guarantees concluded with international agreements for the system of human rights protection, which sanctioned this right as the only subjective collective right. On the other hand, the practice of contemporary states on this issue is not uniform and largely depends on the acceptance of the facts by the international community. From the point of view of developing the right to self-determination of people, and thus the right to independence, the case of Poland is extremely interesting not only because of the historical and political background, but also because it can be treated as a precedent in international law in the context of recognition and acceptance of independence by the state.

It is a long-acknowledged fact that in a wide number of Indo-European languages, some noun phrases occur solely in the plural. As for the French language — the only one concerned in this study — examples as les semailles, les pourparlers, les environs, les pantalons, etc., are very common ones. A subclass of these plural invariable nouns (Pluralia tantum), shows specific properties, e.g., the noun phrase does not behave like a collective noun; it differs in meaning from the version in singular, and the version in plural is always diachronically posterior to the one in singular. The main point is that these plural nouns seem to involve a limited class of verbs in a privileged way. The main purpose of this study is then to question the status of support verb of these verbs, as well as their role in a possible process of idiomatization.

The study of dynamic codes in various social and legal conditions and the problems of agnonymy in intercultural communication allow us to automatically assert that collective memory and a common past are the basis of socialism, language, as a true chronicler, records everything in its linguistic picture of the world. The informative value of a communicative unit is determined not only by its correlations with a specific denotate, but also by the specific emotional-aesthetic attitude of native speakers towards it, which are uniform manifestations in a given linguistic and cultural community. The scientific and technological revolution accelerates the processes leading to agnonymy (dynamics of vocabulary and connotative meanings, dynamics of printed forms, urban palimpsests, text modifications, etc.).

This article is devoted to the analysis of integration and disintegration processes that occurred between Belarus and Russia after the signing the 1996 Treaty establishing the Community of the two countries. Particular attention is paid to the state of relations in 2014-2015 – after the beginning of the military conflict in Ukraine and the economic crisis in Belarus and Russia. The author points to several trends on three levels of cooperation. Politically, the countries disintegrate, as they become aware of the difference between their interests in bilateral relations and on the international arena. Economic cooperation remains at a high level, but deep integration is impossible, as the economic crisis forced Belarus to seek opportunities for economic development elsewhere. Military cooperation, in turn, reaches the limit of integration that Minsk is willing to accept: its manifestation was a refusal of Belarus to place a Russian military base on its territory. Moreover, Belarus has taken several steps to reduce its military dependence on Russia. Thus, the dynamics of the Belarusian-Russian relations allows to say that in the near future the country will continue formal integration, while in practice that means maintaining the “status quo” or even further disintegration.
Эта статья посвящена анализу интеграционных и дезинтеграционных процессов, которое происходили в отношениях Беларуси и России после под писания в 1996 году Договора об образовании Сообщества двух стран. Особое внимание уделяется состоянию отношений в 2014-2015 гг. – то есть после начала военного конфликта в Украине и экономического кризиса в Беларуси и России. Автор указывает несколько трендов на трёх уровнях сотрудничества. В политическом плане страны дезинтегригуются, поскольку осознают разность интересов государств в двухсторонних отношениях и на международной арене. Экономическое сотрудничество остаётся на высоком уровне, однако глубокая интеграция невозможна, а экономический кризис вынуждает Беларусь искать возможности для экономического развития в других странах. Военное сотрудничество достигла предела интеграции, на которую готов пойти Минск, проявлением чего стал отказ Беларуси разместить российскую военную базу на свой территории. Также Беларусь предприняла несколько шагов, чтобы уменьшить свою военную зависимость от России. Динамика белорусско-российских отношений позволяет сказать, что в ближайщем будущем страны продолжат формальную интеграцию, что в практике означает сохранение “статус-кво” либо дальнейшую дезинтеграцию.

Methods of improving the state and rate of progress within the domain of philosophy using collective intelligence systems are considered. By applying mASI systems superintelligence, debiasing, and humanity’s current sum of knowledge may be applied to this domain in novel ways. Such systems may also serve to strongly facilitate new forms and degrees of cooperation and understanding between different philosophies and cultures. The integration of these philosophies directly into their own machine intelligence seeds as cornerstones could further serve to reduce existential risk while improving both ethical quality and performance.

Opis:
This article explores the issue of the collective consciousness and self-consciousness in teaching and learning foreign languages. A review of the literature on the current issues of interculturality and plurilingualism in relation to the notions of consciousness and self-consciousness is first detailed. The issue raised allows us to question the impact of this consideration in terms of the consequences of this work on class dynamics. In fact, can the awareness and self-awareness of learners regarding intercultural and plurilingual practices exist outside of a co-construction with other learners, with the teacher? The research methodology is based on an analysis of interactions in the language class which brings into play these intercultural and plurilingual approaches (resulting from the LISTIAC and FLSCAN projects). It reports significant results on the co-construction of consciousness and emerging self-consciousness in the language class about the singular universals of languages and cultures. The discussion shows the value of a collective, and no longer purely personal understanding (for the learner) of consciousness and self-awareness of these plurilingual and cultural experiences.
