    Opis:
    This article offers an analysis of Polish and Serbian phraseological units which are related to emotional-affective states and contain components referring to parts of human body. The cognitive-semantic analysis presented in the study considers 145 such units. The corpus is divided into three thematic groups, taking into account all three types of emotions: positive, neutral and negative. The article presents the meaning of phraseological units in focus and considers the impact of symbolism of given parts of the body on shaping it. The conclusion highlights the key similarities and differences between the Polish and Serbian phraseological units under discussion.
    Celem artykułu jest prezentacja analizy związków frazeologicznych odnoszących się do stanów emocjonalno-uczuciowych z komponentem somatycznym w języku polskim oraz serbskim. Na podstawie korpusu, zawierającego 145 frazeologizmów, jednostki frazeologiczne zostały poddane semantyczno-kognitywnej analizie. Korpus został podzielony na trzy grupy tematyczne. Zaproponowana klasyfikacja uwzględniła wszystkie trzy typy emocji: pozytywne, negatywne oraz neutralne. Przedstawiono znaczenie badanych frazeologizmów oraz ukazano, w jakim stopniu symbolika danych części ciała wpłynęła na ukształtowanie znaczenia frazeologicznego. W końcowej części artykułu omówiono podobieństwa i różnice w zakresie polskich i serbskich związków frazeologicznych.

    The aim of the article is to conduct a semantic analysis of Polish interjections. The collected data consist of words (200 forms), which were qualified as an interjecion in the National Corpus of Polish and in the Uniwersalny s³ownik jêzyka polskiego. The article consists of four chapters. The first part provides a short introduction to the subject matter related to interjections and includes a short summary of the views and opinions concerning their semantic structure. The author briefly describes methods and the conception of the meaning, which are used in the article (cognitive semantics). The third chapter provides a semantic analysis of interjections. It consists of the description of characteristic central domains, in frames of which interjections are conteptualised (feelings, movements, sounds, scripts and will) and presents characteristic features of the domain matrixes of interjections. Finally, the author summarizes the research results.

    The aim of the paper is to re-analyze the structure of linguistic joke from the point of view of cultural linguistics (Palmer 2000, Wilk-Racięska 2012), understood as a multidimensional research system which, depending on the phenomenon under investigation uses various tools. This time we will use semantic, syntactic, pragmatic and cognitive tools. In the first place, we will outline the aims and the tools of cultural linguistics’ methodology as presented in Wilk-Racięska (2012) and the definitions of terms as humor, joke, etc. (Vigara 2013). The Raskin (1986, 2015) theory will be the analysis’s starting point. Taking into account the Raskin’s outline of a joke construction, we will try to analyze the internal structure of linguistic jokes and define selections of those jokes as seen as communicative acts, according to their semantic-syntactic, socio-pragmatic and pragmatic-cognitive features.

    Ontologic structures in a socio-political editorial – a socio-cognitive approachThe aim of the present study is to analyze the conceptualization of ontological structures in a special type of journalistic writing represented by a socio-political editorial. According to the socio-cognitive approach (Goffman, Langacker), the author discusses the problem of discursive mechanisms related to the persuasive function of language and classification. Therefore, in basis of the gathered linguistic corpus, which constitutes of forty French editorials, treating about university and public service pension reforms, culled from the web pages of different journals and magazines (2007–2008), the author intends to describe the distribution of two semantic roles such as agent and patient (by means of the synthetic scheme presented in this paper) in the context of the persuasiveness of media communication. The way of constructing the semantic roles of participants both influences and modifies the readers’ opinions and their perception of the world.
