    Issues taken in the presented article refer to the relationship bet ween culture, the development of human cognitive structures, and school education. Starting from the theses presented within the discourse of contemporary cultural psychology I analyse the role of culture in the development of human cognitive abilities, where further references to the concept of cognitive socialization are made. Finally I make an attempt to point out the principles of effective cognitive socialization in the area of formal education which provides the basis for a sketchy evaluation of the impact of contemporary education on the effects of the cognitive socialization process.

    Learning Activity Management System (LAMS) has been trialled and used by users from many countries around the globe, but despite the positive attitude towards its potential benefits to pedagogical processes its adoption in practice has been uneven, reflecting how difficult it is to make a new technology based concept an integral part of the education system. In order to investigate and determine the elements that block the adoption of learning design tools in general, the study will review research papers that have been published in recent years on this subject, especially LAMS. The study will discuss patterns of critical aspects related to adoption of learning design tools and derive a framework that can be used in follow-up studies aimed at collecting relevant empirical data from practitioners to identify key progress measures of the adoption process. These measures may be used later to devise strategies that will see increased adoption of online learning design tools such as LAMS in school systems and higher education institutions.

    Celem artykułu jest ukazanie edukacji akademickiej jako szczególnego etapu w procesie kształcenia kompetencji przedsiębiorczych studentów z perspektywy psychologicznej koncepcji poznawczej człowieka. Bazując na dokonanym przeglądzie literatury, w artykule zaproponowano spojrzenie na kształcenie akademickie jako na etap konsolidowania – integrowania elementów składających się na kompetencje przedsiębiorcze studentów przy uwzględnieniu ich struktur poznawczych oraz wpływu otoczenia. Artykuł jest wynikiem pogłębionej refleksji nad rolą wykładowcy w procesie kształtowania kompetencji przedsiębiorczych studentów i bazuje na doświadczeniach oraz przemyśleniach autorki zebranych w trakcie prowadzenia zajęć z przedsiębiorczości na specjalności Przedsiębiorczość w małej i średniej firmie, oferowanej na Wydziale Zarządzania Uniwersytetu Ekonomicznego w Poznaniu.
    The aim of the paper is to present the university‑level education as a special stage in the process of training of students’ entrepreneurial competencies, from the perspective of psychological cognitive concept of human being. Based on the literature review, the author proposes a look at the university‑level education as the proper time for integration of all elements which compose the students’ entrepreneurial competencies, taking into account their cognitive structures and the influence of environment. The article is the result of in‑depth reflection on the role of lecturer in the process of shaping students’ entrepreneurial competencies and it is based on the author’s experience gained during the courses of entrepreneurship given on the specialty entitled „Entrepreneurship in small and medium‑sized enterprise” offered by the Faculty of Management at the Poznań University of Economics and Business.

    The article is devoted to the subject matter of means-end chain-based approaches to market segmentation, which are critically viewed from the perspective of their ability to yield properly defined market segments. There are emphasised in it these approaches, grounded in the means-end chain (MEC) theory that was developed to better understand how consumers link attributes of products with particular consequences and how these consequences satisfy personal values. The author's whole deliberations confirm that the means-end chains are often seen as a representation of the basic drives that motivate consumer behaviour.

    Cognitive structures are the basic mental pattern people use to process any information. Alternatively cognitive structures include mental structures, mental tools, and patterns of thought. Metaphorical thinking being one of the mental tool present innate in human being which when practiced consciously could help developing cognitive structures in turn help to process information. It is very important to note that each individual has to develop his/her own cognitive structures by means of practice of Metaphorical thinking as mental tool through good teaching/learning practices similar to an athlete involved in rigorous physical training to meet the challenge of the competition. The present paper explains the influence of metaphorical thinking as a mental tool in determining the cognitive structures based on content, activities and assessment of the given information passed from teachers to students during teaching-learning process.

    U članku je predstavljen problem transkulturnosti koja se pojavljuje u prototipu (to znači u originalnom delu), ali koja delimično ili potpuno nestaje u prevodu. To se dešava kada je tekst preveden sa transkulturnog prostora (Bosna i Hercegovina) u monokulturni prostor (Poljska). Transkulturnost Selimovićeg romana Derviš i smrt uglavnom je prisutna u jeziku koji se odlikuje pozajmljenicama sa arapskog i turskog. Ove se pozajmljenice mogu podeliti u 3 kategorije: reči sa kulturnim karakteristikama, reči u vezi sa islamom i reči koje se tiču mesta (Bosna i Hercegovina). Svaki jezik obuhvata istoriju i kulturu naroda, tako i jezik Selimovićeg romana obuhvata 500-godišnju tursku okupaciju. Nije moguće da se pronađe u poljskom jeziku ekvivalente korištenih pozajmljenica jer u poljskom jeziku ne postoje reči sa takvim emocionalnim i istorijskim karakteristikama. U ovakvim situacijama prevodilac može da koristi redukciju ili amplifikaciju, ali ipak razumevanje romana biće iskrivljeno jer primarni i sekundarni primalac imaju različite kognitivne strukture i neke reči će aktivirati drukčije idealizovane kognitivne modele u njihovim umovima. Zaključak je da transkulturnost uzrokuje teškoće kod prevođenja romana. Dešava se tako zbog nemogućnosti da se pronađe ekivalente i zbog razlika u kognitivnim strukturama primarnnog i sekundarnog primaoca.
    The article discusses the problem of transculturality that appears in the prototype (that is, the original work), but which partly or completely disappears in its translation. It occurs when a text is translated from a transcultural area (i.e. Bosnia and Herzegovina) into a monocultural area (i.e. Poland). Transculturality of Meša Selimović’s novel Derviš i smrt appears mostly in the language that is characterized by borrowings from Arabic, Persian and Turkish. The borrowings can be divided into 3 categories: words with cultural features, words connected with Islam and words connected with the place (Bosnia and Herzegovina). Since every language comprises the history and culture of the nation, the Serbian language is marked with the 500-year-long Ottoman occupation. It is impossible to find equivalents for those borrowings in the Polish language as there are no words with such emotional and historical features. The translator can use either reduction or amplification in these situations, but it will definitely distort the understanding of the novel as the primary and secondary receivers have different cognitive structures and some words will trigger different idealized cognitive models in their minds. In conclusion, the transculturality makes the novel difficult to translate because of the impossibility to find equivalents and because of the differences in the primary and secondary receivers’ cognitive structures.

    Ontologic structures in a socio-political editorial – a socio-cognitive approachThe aim of the present study is to analyze the conceptualization of ontological structures in a special type of journalistic writing represented by a socio-political editorial. According to the socio-cognitive approach (Goffman, Langacker), the author discusses the problem of discursive mechanisms related to the persuasive function of language and classification. Therefore, in basis of the gathered linguistic corpus, which constitutes of forty French editorials, treating about university and public service pension reforms, culled from the web pages of different journals and magazines (2007–2008), the author intends to describe the distribution of two semantic roles such as agent and patient (by means of the synthetic scheme presented in this paper) in the context of the persuasiveness of media communication. The way of constructing the semantic roles of participants both influences and modifies the readers’ opinions and their perception of the world.

    Opis:
    The Image of the Greeks in the German Press. Stereotypes and their Linguistic Expression in the Summer 2015 This paper addresses the image of Greeks in the German press in the summer 2015. During this time, the main topic in European politics was the Greek crisis, which was accompanied by a significant number of stereotypes about Greek and Greece. A linguistic recognition of stereotype refexrs to the interdisciplinary character of this concept, so especially politics plays a major role in this description. One main focus of this study is the question of which stereotypes we can find. It allows an insight into the contents spectrum of stereotypes. The second issue concerns mechanisms of stereotypes, i.e. how they are constituted, transported and consolidated.
    Der folgende Beitrag ist politolinguistisch und diskursanalytisch angelegt. Besprochen werden länderübergreifende multimodale Kommunikationsprozesse, die zwischen der deutschen und der griechischen Sprachgemeinschaft bestehen. Die Untersuchungszäsur bildet der Sommer 2015, in dem das Thema der Griechenlandkrise in allen deutschen Medien sehr präsent ist. Anhand eines überregionalen deutschen Pressekorpus werden die sprachlichen Mittel untersucht, mit denen Stereotype über die Griechen in der deutschen Berichterstattung konstituiert, tradiert und gefestigt werden. Die Analyse widmet sich konkreten sprachlichen Realisierungen von Stereotypen, die nach ihrer Rolle und ihrem prädikativen Gehalt unter die Lupe genommen werden. Der pragmalinguistische Ansatz verspricht aufzuzeigen, welche Stereotype mit welchen Konnotationspotenzialen ausgelöst werden und transnational zur Annäherung bzw. zur Entfremdung führen.
