    Under the new normal of China’s economy, the competition among the port enterprises is not only the competition of the core competence of the port, the port industry chain or the port supply chain, but also the competition of the port service ecosystem. In this paper, the concept and characteristics of the port service ecosystem is discussed, a hierarchical model of the port service ecosystem is constructed. As an extended logistic model, Lotka-Volterra model is applied to study the competitive co-evolution and mutually beneficial co-evolution of enterprises in the port service ecosystem. This paper simulates the co-evolution of enterprises in the port service ecosystem by using MATLAB programming. The simulation results show that the breadth of the niche of the enterprises is changing with the change of the competition coefficient and the coefficient of mutual benefit in the port service ecosystem. Based on that, some proposals are put forward to ensure the healthy and orderly development of the port service ecosystem.

    The article presents the results of the research concerning adjustment of multinational enterprises (MNCs) to a complex environment. The research model was grounded in the evolutionary theory, and emerging markets were chosen as the contexts of studies. As a result, three types of adjustment to a complex environment were characterized. Implications for the development of activities were formulated in relation to processes of learning of an organization as main driving forces of adjustment to the environment of a foreign market.
    Artykuł prezentuje wyniki badań dotyczących dostosowywania się przedsiębiorstw międzynarodowych do złożonego otoczenia. Model badawczy został osadzony na gruncie teorii ewolucyjnej, natomiast rynki wyłaniające się zostały wybrane jako kontekst badań. W rezultacie zostały scharakteryzowane trzy typy dostosowywania się do złożonego otoczenia. Przedstawiono implikacje co do możliwości rozwoju działań w odniesieniu do procesów uczenia się organizacji jako siły sprawczej dostosowywania się do otoczenia rynków zagranicznych.

    A main goal of this essay is the analysis of the contemporary phase of evolution of European “organism” by using approaches from political science and neuroscience. The transdisciplinary perspective allows for better understanding of finer points of human behavior which can be lost only in political science analysis. My simple and obvious assumption is that politics is about people. Human beings create groups, communities, etc. If it is so, maybe we should start with looking more closely into mechanisms of the most important part of ourselves. The brain. It is responsible for all human behaviour. Another crucial point is the connection between humans and environment. The concept of co-evolution is fundamental and very useful when we want to show intertwining relations between interiority (brain, body) and externality (behaviour, social and political structures). Europe may be the very context for this analysis, but it is most of all our humanity.

    W pracy tej zaprezentowano procedurę pozwalającą zbadać wpływ parametrów startowych na tempo zbieżności algorytmu genetycznego. Jej zaletą jest fakt, że bierze ona pod uwagę nie tylko samą szybkość znalezienia rozwiązań bliskich optymalnym, ale również stabilność wyników. Przedstawioną metodę wykorzystano następnie do wyboru najlepszej wartości parametrów pewnego koewolucyjnego algorytmu analizy portfelowej. Wykazano przy tym, że dla zadania dwukryterialnego daje on lepsze wyniki, niż niezależne przebiegi zwykłego algorytmu genetycznego przetwarzającego jedną populację na raz. Jednocześnie jednak wymiana informacji pomiędzy niszami podlegającymi koewolucji powinna zostać przerwana, gdy znajdziemy już zestaw rozwiązań bliskich optymalnym. Wykazano też znaczny wpływ parametrów mutacji na zbieżność algorytmu.
    In this work we propose a procedure for testing the impact of starting parameters on the convergence of a genetic algorithm. Although the described solution is quite time consuming it takes into consideration both number of iterations required and stability of obtained results. We then proceed to infer optimal values of such parameters for a certain co-evolutionary portfolio analysis algorithm. We prove, that such an implementation is superior to simple genetic algorithms operating on a single population when dealing with multi-objective fitness functions. However, the exchange of information between different niches should not be enabled for too long. We also point out the big impact that often disregarded mutation procedure can have on the convergence to suboptimal solutions. Interestingly, both too high and too low probability of mutation can have a noticible negative impact on the performance of a given algorithm.

    The paper presents the research whose the main goal was to compare a new Fuzzy System with Neural Aggregation of fuzzy rules FSNA with a classical Takagi-Sugeno-Kanga TSK fuzzy system in an anti-collision problem of Unmanned Surface Vehicle USV. Both systems the FSNA and the TSK were learned by means of Cooperative Co-evolutionary Genetic Algorithm with Indirect Neural Encoding CCGA-INE. The paper includes an introduction to the subject, a description of the new FSNA and the tuning method CCGA-INE, and at the end, numerical research results with a summary. The research includes comparison of the FSNA with the classical TSK system in the anti-collision problem of the USV.

    The article presents results of tests on electrodeposition in a magnetic field of Co-Mo and Co-Mo-C alloys characterised by low overvoltage of hydrogen evolution. Addition of molybdenum and carbon was to lower the values of overvoltage of hydrogen evolution on cobalt. The influence of a magnetic field of high intensity (1 - 12 T) on the deposits composition, structure and morphology was determined. The deposition was conducted in a magnetic field of parallel orientation of the magnetic field forces lines in relation to the working electrode. Electrocatalytic properties of the obtained alloy coatings within the range of hydrogen evolution were tested in a concentrated solution of NaOH. The obtained alloys were analysed with the XRD method, their composition was tested with the WDXRF technique and they underwent observation applying scanning electron microscopy (SEM). The comparison of electrocatalytic properties of Co-Mo alloys with properties of Co-Mo-C ones enabled determining the influence of carbon presence in cathodic deposits on the overvoltage value of hydrogen evolution on them.
    W artykule przedstawione zostały wyniki badań nad elektroosadzaniem w polu magnetycznym stopów Co-Mo oraz Co-Mo-C charakteryzujących się niskim nadnapięciem wydzielania wodoru. Dodatek molibdenu oraz węgla miałna celu obniżenie wartości nadnapięcia wydzielania wodoru na kobalcie. Określony zostałwpływ pola magnetycznego o wysokim natężeniu (1 - 12 T) na skład, strukturę oraz morfologię osadów. Osadzanie prowadzone było w polu magnetycznym o równoległej orientacji linii siłpola magnetycznego względem elektrody pracującej. Właściwości elektrokatalityczne otrzymanych powłok stopowych w zakresie wydzielania wodoru badano w gorącym stężonym roztworze NaOH. Otrzymane stopy poddano analizie XRD, analizie składu z wykorzystaniem techniki WDXRF oraz obserwacjom z wykorzystaniem skaningowej mikroskopii elektronowej (SEM). Porównanie właściwości elektrokatalitycznych stopów Co-Mo z właściwościami stopów Co-Mo-C pozwoliło na określenie wpływu obecności węgla w osadach katodowych na wartość nadnapięcia wydzielania na nich wodoru.
