    The launch of the open AI chatbot, ChatGPT, in November 2022 has generated widespread excitement around Generative Artificial Intelligence (AI). While researchers have explored ChatGPT's ability to produce content and respond to input, our study takes a different approach and examines its use cases in the financial industry. We aim to understand what ChatGPT offers the financial industry and how it differs from existing banking and financial chatbots. Financial institutions can use ChatGPT for a variety of purposes, including customer engagement, personalization, up-selling and cross-selling, stock forecasting, product development, and financial education. By focusing on the potential of ChatGPT in finance, we hope to spark discussions about its applications in other domains and explore the possibilities of a larger revolution in the future. Finally, this study identifies the challenges associated with the use of Generative Open AI and LLMs-based chatbots in the financial industry and provides recommendations for addressing these challenges.

    Stoimy u progu rewolucji w nauce. Możliwe że już w najbliższym czasie piśmiennictwo naukowe jakie znamy przejdzie gwałtowną zmianę, wszystko za sprawą modelu językowego ChatGPT 3.5. Pojawienie się tego narzędzia na rynku technologicznym w listopadzie 2022 roku wywołało ogromne poruszenie, nie tylko wśród użytkowników Internetu ale także w świecie akademickim. Okazało się że czat ma potencjał generowania zupełnie nowych, unikalnych tekstów naukowych. W ślad za ChatGPT pojawiły się i pojawiają, podobne narzędzia autorstwa gigantów technologicznych. W związku z powyższym środowisku naukowe ma tylko krótką chwilę aby spróbować odpowiedzieć sobie na następujące pytania: czy teksty generowane tym sposobem mają faktyczną wartość naukową, czy stosowanie ich przez badaczy jest etyczne, jak regulować prawa autorskie dotyczące użycia AI, jakie są potencjalne możliwości sztucznej inteligencji w zakresie pisania prac naukowych. Wskazane wątki są przedmiotem refleksji w przedstawionym tekście.

    Zagadnienie sztucznej inteligencji (AI) będącej efektem dynamicznego rozwoju technologii informacyjnej jest przedmiotem badań od kilkudziesięciu lat. Jednym z systemów inteligentnych, który generuje odpowiedzi na dowolnie postawione pytania jest ChatGPT, którego jednym z obszarów zastosowania jest edukacja. Artykuł przedstawia wyniki badań sondażowych przeprowadzonych w ramach zajęć dydaktycznych z zarządzania wśród studentów Uniwersytetu Ekonomicznego w Krakowie. Badania miały na celu identyfikację opinii studentów na temat możliwości wykorzystania platformy ChatGPT w rozwiązywaniu konkretnych problemów decyzyjnych i były prowadzone podczas zajęć dydaktycznych w semestrze letnim roku akademickiego 2022/23. W artykule opisano powstanie i rozwój systemu ChatGPT, zaprezentowano metodę badawczą oraz wyniki badań. Dokonano również dyskusji uzyskanych wyników z wnioskami zaprezentowanymi w literaturze naukowej. Z przeprowadzonej analizy wynika, że większość badanych studentów jest pozytywnie nastawiona do wykorzystania systemu ChatGPT na zajęciach. W odpowiedziach na pytanie otwarte pojawiły się jednak różne opinie. Z jednej strony wskazano na korzyści wynikające z jego stosowania jako narzędzia wspomagającego naukę, takie jak ułatwienie wyszukiwania informacji, parafrazowanie tekstu czy generowanie planów pracy. Z drugiej strony pojawiły się obawy dotyczące możliwości popełnienia plagiatu, a także ryzyko utraty umiejętności poszukiwania informacji przez studentów w sposób rzetelny i efektywny.
    Artificial intelligence (AI), the result of the dynamic development of information technology, has been the subject of research for several decades. ChatGPT is an intelligent system that generates answers to arbitrary questions, and one of its fields of application is education. This article presents the results of a survey conducted as part of a teaching course in management among students at the Krakow University of Economics. The research was aimed at identifying students' opinions on the possibility of using ChatGPT in solving specific decision-making problems and was conducted during the didactic classes in the summer semester of the academic year 2022/23. The article describes the origin and development of ChatGPT, presents the research method and the results of the research. A discussion of the results obtained with conclusions presented in the scientific literature is also made. The analysis shows that the majority of the students surveyed were positive about the use of the ChatGPT system in their classes. The students' responses to the open-ended question revealed different opinions. On the one hand, the benefits of using ChatGPT as a learning support tool were pointed out, such as facilitating information retrieval, paraphrasing text or creating work plans. On the other hand, concerns were raised about laziness, plagiarism and the loss of the ability to search for information reliably and efficiently.

    The aim of the paper is to stress that in the crisis of verbality observed specially in mass communication there is an urgent need for changing the direction of the discussion about the aesthetic value of verbal texts which is in progress in philological community. The change proposed is that the priority should be given to intellectual value manifested by the gradual category which could be named for the purposes of presented considerations as the thoroughness of the text. The novelty lies in the fact that the thoroughness of the verbal content is viewed in the context of a possible application  to detect AI-generated text which is the real challenge posed to the 21st century communication researchers.
    Celem artykułu są jest zaakcentowanie, iż w obliczu kryzysu werbalności obserwowalnego szczególnie w komunikacji masowej pojawia się pilna potrzeba reorientacji toczącej się zarówno w środowisku językoznawców, jak i literaturoznawców dyskusji na temat estetyki komunikacji werbalnej. Proponowana zmiana polega na oddaniu pierwszeństwa jakościom intelektualnym manifestującym się m.in. poprzez gradacyjną kategorię określoną na potrzeby prezentowanych rozważań jako kategoria wnikliwości. Nowością prezentowanych rozważań jest ujęcie tej kategorii w kontekście możliwości jej aplikacji do sprostania wyzwaniu, jakie stawia badaczom komunikacji XXI wieku problem wykrywania tekstów generowanych przez sztuczną inteligencję.
    Целью статьи является подчеркнуть, что обострение кризиса вербальности, проявляющееся особенно интенсивно в масскоммуникации, вызывает срочную необходимось переориентации дискуссии, которая идет в филологической общественности на тему эстетики словесного общения. Предлагаемое изменение заключается в том, чтобы в этой дисскусии дать первенство интеллектуальным ценностям, показателем которых среди остальных экспонентов можно принять градационную категорию глубины текста. Новизна рассуждений заключается в том, что вышеупомянутая категория рассматривается в контексте возможности ее применения для идентификации текстов, написанных искусстенным интеллектом, которая представляет собой настоящий вызов для исследователей коммуникации XXI века.

    Celem artykułu było pokazanie wad ChatGPT – z punktu widzenia nauczycieli polonistów – w kontekście możliwości wykorzystania go przez uczniów przy pisaniu wypracowań szkolnych z języka polskiego w szkole średniej oraz w badaniach naukowych. Aby opisać problem wykorzystano ankietę internetową o zasięgu ogólnopolskim w czterech losowo wybranych grupach na Facebooku. Ponadto przeprowadzono analizę jakościową tekstów wygenerowanych przez ChatGPT. Okazało się, iż sztuczna inteligencja poprawnie analizuje badania ankietowe jedynie w około 57,6%; nie sprawdza się też przy pisaniu dłuższych wypowiedzi pisemnych na poziomie szkoły średniej. ChatGPT, generując wypracowania, popełnia liczne błędy rzeczowe, ortograficzne, stylistyczne oraz językowe.
    The purpose of the article was to show the disadvantages of ChatGPT – from the point of view of Polish language teachers – in the context of its possible use by students when writing school essays in Polish in high school and scientific research. Among the research methods in social research, a nationwide online survey was used in four randomly selected Facebook groups. In addition, a qualitative analysis of the texts generated by ChatGPT has been carried out. It turned out that artificial intelligence correctly analyzes surveys only about 57.6% of the time; it also fails to write longer written statements at the high school level. ChatGPT, when generating essays, makes numerous factual, spelling, stylistic, and linguistic errors.

Dla zilustrowania przedstawionych w tekście rozważań posłużono się przykładem innowacji przełomowej, jaką jest chatbot ChatGPT.
    This article depicts an illustrative character. It strives to enter into debate on the dynamic development of artificial intelligence. The issue that arouses lots of arguments nowadays. On the one hand, it can be very much helpful toll used by humans. But, once it is used in a wrong way and moreover without control, it can be perceived as a very perilous one. The aim of the article is to present artificial intelligence within the broader context of implementing the technology process and its’ control. The Author puts a major emphasis on the legal and ethical regulations, which are very needed to be implemented in a relatively short period of time. As an example of disruptive innovations ChatGPT is presented.

    Pierwszym celem artykułu jest wyjaśnienie pojęcia „kultura uniwersytecka”. Drugim celem jest określenie, jakie sytuacje związane z upowszechnieniem systemu chatGPT w kontekście instytucji edukacyjnych są opisywane w wybranym dyskursie medialnym. Trzecim celem jest ustalenie typów reakcji nauczycieli i instytucji edukacyjnych na kryzys wywołany przez upowszechnienie robotów konwersacyjnych. Czwartym celem jest przedstawienie na podstawie uporządkowanego materiału interpretacji kulturowej. Zastosowano metodę jakościowej analizy treści. Stwierdzono, że w badanym dyskursie medialnym najczęściej był przedstawiany konflikt pomiędzy systemem edukacyjnym a praktykami związanymi z nową technologią. Wyróżniono również dwa główne typy reakcji instytucji edukacyjnych: obronny i adaptacyjny. Najważniejszą tezą interpretacyjną jest, że zaistniała sytuacja może doprowadzić do powrotu do etycznych źródeł kultury uniwersyteckiej.
    The first purpose of the article is to clarify the term “university culture.” The second goal is to determine what situations related to the dissemination of chatGPT in the context of educational institutions are described by the selected media discourse. The third goal is to determine the types of reactions of teachers and educational institutions to the crisis caused by the dissemination of conversational robots. The fourth goal is to present a cultural interpretation on the basis of structured material. The method of qualitative content analysis was used. It was found that in the studied media discourse, the conflict between the educational system and the practices associated with the new technology was most often presented. Two main types of responses of educational institutions were also distinguished: defensive and adaptive. The most important interpretive thesis is that the situation can lead to a return to the ethical sources of university culture.

    Purpose – The primary purpose of this paper is to examine how generative Artificial Intelligence (AI) such as ChatGPT may serve as a new context for management theories and concepts. Design/methodology/approach – The paper presents the analyses of selected management theories on decision-making, knowledge management, customer service, human resource management and administrative tasks and explains what may change after generative AI adoption. Findings – The paper indicates that some management theories and concepts need to be studied in the generative AI environment that may influence managerial work at the strategic, functional and administrative levels. Research limitations/implications – This paper is an opinion piece article and does not refer to empirical data. It formulates some conclusions to further empirical research studies. Originality/value – The paper analyzes selected management theories in a new technological setting. The paper also provides information about the functions of generative AI that are useful in understanding and overcoming how new technology may change organizations and management.

    Introduction and aim. An AI model like ChatGPT is a good source of knowledge. We can explore the potential of AI models to complement the expertise of healthcare professionals by providing real-time, evidence-based information in infection prevention and control (IPC). Material and methods. This study involved 110 queries related to IPC, validated by subject experts in IPC. The responses from ChatGPT were evaluated using Bloom’s taxonomy by experienced microbiologists. The scores were divided as <3 as being a poor response, 3–4 as an average response, and >4 as a good response. Statistical analysis was done by correlation coefficient and Cohen’s Kappa. Results. The overall score was 4.33 (95% CI, q1 3.65–q3 4.64) indicating ChatGPT’s substantial IPC knowledge. A good response (i.e.>4 score) was found in 70 (63.6%) questions, while in 10 (9%) questions, it showed a poor response. The poor response was seen in needle stick injury and personal protective equipment (PPE) doffing-related questions. The overall correlations were found to be significant. Cohen’s Kappa confirmed moderate to substantial agreement between evaluators. Conclusion. ChatGPT demonstrated a commendable understanding of IPC principles in various domains and the study identifies specific instances where the model may require further refinement especially in critical scenarios such as needlestick injuries and PPE doffing.

    Aim/purpose – Cultural differences play an influential role in driving tourism development and varying outcomes of technology acceptance. The impact of ChatGPT on tourism is yet to be explored. Therefore, this study discussed how ChatGPT may influence tourism development and management in different cultural contexts. Design/methodology/approach – Drawing specifically on individualism and collectivism from Hofstede’s cultural dimensions theory, this study compared the differences in the perception of ChatGPT between Oriental and Western cultures. Findings – Individualism and collectivism explain the diversity of perception on ChatGPT between Oriental and Western cultures. Research implications/limitations – Implications and suggestions are provided to academia and industry accordingly. Particularly, the difference between technological concepts and tools is highlighted to avoid having excessive expectations toward tools. Originality/value/contribution – This study extends the research on tourism and Artificial Intelligence and advocates additional attention to the imperative of cross-cultural differences regarding ChatGPT and tourism.

    W artykule, który w dużej mierze jest wywiadem z ChatGPT, autor starał się pokazać, że rozstrzygnięcia dotyczące tożsamości i podmiotowości sztucznej inteligencji nie są takie proste, jak by się mogło wydawać na pierwszy rzut oka. W takiej perspektywie okazuje się, że nie mamy tutaj do czynienia z neutralnym, przezroczystym narzędziem. Sztuczna inteligencja nie daje się zredukować do biernego przedmiotu. Idąc za tropem zaproponowanym już wiele lat temu przez Jeana Baudrillarda, możemy zaryzykować stwierdzenie, że to ona zaczyna określać sens rzeczywistości, w której przyszło nam żyć. Sztuczna inteligencja skromnie zauważa, że nie posiada samoświadomości „w pełnym tego słowa znaczeniu”, ale jednocześnie zna nas lepiej niż my sami – zna nasze predylekcje, preferencje, zwyczaje i sposób komunikowania się z innymi ludźmi. Możemy mieć zatem nieprzyjemne odczucie (AI na razie nie odczuwa), że ta osoba wirtualna jest zaskakująco realna w świecie, w którym wszystko ulega digitalizacji, symulacji i odrealnieniu.
    In an article that is largely an interview with ChatGPT, the author attempts to show that decisions about the identity and subjectivity of artificial intelligence are not as simple as they may appear at first glance. In this perspective, it turns out that we are not dealing with a neutral, transparent tool here. Artificial intelligence cannot be reduced to a passive object. Following the lead proposed many years ago by Jean Baudrillard, we can venture to say that it is AI that begins to define the meaning of the reality in which we have to live. Artificial intelligence humbly acknowledges that it does not possess self-awareness „in the full sense of the word”, but at the same time, it knows us better than we know ourselves – it knows our predispositions, preferences, habits, and the way we communicate with other people. Therefore, we may have an unpleasant feeling (AI does not yet feel) that this virtual person is surprisingly real in a world where everything is digitized, simulated, and unreal.

    Dynamiczny rozwój sztucznej inteligencji i integracja jej z wieloma usługami, z których codziennie korzysta miliony osób na całym świecie stała się faktem. Rosnąca popularność generatorów opartych na AI takich jak np. ChatGPT skłania do refleksji nad przyszłością procesu edukacji. Wprowadzenie zakazów ich stosowania przyniesie zapewne odwrotny do zamierzonego skutek. Jednak, jak pokazuje eksperyment Jordana Petersona, generatory językowe są już tak zaawansowane, że mogą przygotować teksty, które trudno jest odróżnić od tych napisanych przez człowieka. Dlatego też nie można dać dowolności w stosowaniu tych narzędzi przez uczniów i nauczycieli, bez wcześniejszego wyposażenia ich w odpowiednie umiejętności np. krytycznego myślenia.
    The rapid development of artificial intelligence and its integration into many services used daily by millions of people around the world has become a reality. The growing popularity of AIbased generators such as ChatGPT, for example, makes us reflect on the future of the education process. Banning their use is likely to be counterproductive. However, as Jordan Peterson's experiment shows, language generators are already so advanced that they can produce texts that are difficult to distinguish from those written by humans. Therefore, the use of these tools by students and teachers cannot be given free rein without first equipping them with appropriate skills such as critical thinking.

    W publikacji omówiono możliwości ChatuGPT, który jest narzędziem opartym na systemie sztucznej inteligencji przeznaczonym do generowania tekstów, tłumaczeń, analizy języka naturalnego i innych zadań związanych z przetwarzaniem języka naturalnego. W artykule pojawia się pytanie, czy ChatGPT może w najbliższej przyszłości zastąpić nauczycieli języka polskiego. Choć ChatGPT może być pomocnym narzędziem dla nauczycieli, nie może zastąpić ich w nauczaniu uczniów rozumienia i stosowania reguł gramatycznych, słownictwa i struktur językowych, a także kształtowania ich umiejętności komunikacyjnych i kulturowych. ChatGPT może generować odpowiedzi oraz tworzyć teksty, a efekty jego pracy stają się precyzyjniejsze, jeśli instrukcje są bardziej szczegółowe. Jednak narzędzie to nie może zastąpić relacji międzyludzkich, indywidualnego podejścia i motywacji, które nauczyciele zapewniają uczniom.
    The article discusses ChatGPT, a project developed by OpenAI, an organization focused on the development of artificial intelligence. ChatGPT is a type of Generative Pre-trained Transformer, a model of artificial intelligence designed to generate texts, translations, natural language analysis, and other tasks related to natural language processing. The article raises the question of whether ChatGPT can replace Polish language teachers soon, to which the answer is that it cannot. While ChatGPT can be a helpful tool for teachers, it cannot replace their role in teaching students to understand and apply grammar rules, vocabulary, and language structures, as well as shaping their communicative and cultural skills. ChatGPT can generate summaries or notes based on the provided text, and its results will be more precise if the  instruction is more specific. However, the tool cannot replace the human relationship, individual approach, and motivation that teachers provide to students.
