    Bambara (Manding < West Mande < Mande < Niger-Congo) has a specialized clause chaining (cosubordinative) construction where the first clause has a verb full-fledged for TAM and polarity, and verbs of subsequent clauses are in infinitive; non-initial clauses are not embedded into the initial one and cannot be therefore regarded as subordinate. Characteristics of the Bambara clause chaining are analyzed: scope of operators (illocutionary force, negation), TAM characteristics, same- and different-subjectness. From the evidence of peripheral Manding varieties, a hypothesis concerning the origin of infinitive from an archaic preposition is advanced.

    Opis:
    Sample surveys are often affected by missing observations and non-response caused by the respondents' refusal or unwillingness to provide the requested information or due to their memory failure. In order to substitute the missing data, a procedure called imputation is applied, which uses the available data as a tool for the replacement of the missing values. Two auxiliary variables create a chain which is used to substitute the missing part of the sample. The aim of the paper is to present the application of the Chain-type factor estimator as a means of source imputation for the non-response units in an incomplete sample. The proposed strategies were found to be more efficient and bias-controllable than similar estimation procedures described in the relevant literature. These techniques could also be made nearly unbiased in relation to other selected parametric values. The findings are supported by a numerical study involving the use of a dataset, proving that the proposed techniques outperform other similar ones.

    Opis:
    This article presents examples of strategies and techniques of learning (from a group of mnemonic devices), which teachers can use, in their work with students, for the purpose of mastering the process of learning (maximising its effectiveness – speed and retention), but also making it more enjoyable and, therefore, motivating for students to undertake further attempts to obtain knowledge. The teacher, as the recipient of the content, has the opportunity to experience the effectiveness of selected memory devices (hence many exercises for the teachers themselves), as well as receives examples of curriculum related mnemonic tasks, which afford the opportunity of utilising given techniques when working with the student.
    W artykule zaprezentowano przykładowe strategie i techniki uczenia się (z grupy mnemotechnik), które nauczyciel może wykorzystać w pracy z uczniem w celu doskonalenia procesu uczenia się (zwiększenie jego efektywności – szybkości i trwałości), ale również uczynienia go przyjemniejszym, a przez to bardziej motywującym do podejmowania kolejnych prób związanych z opanowywaniem wiedzy. Nauczyciel – jako odbiorca poniższych treści – otrzymuje możliwość sprawdzenia skuteczności wybranych technik pamięciowych (stąd szereg ćwiczeń) oraz zapoznania się z przykładowymi zadaniami pamięciowymi związanymi z materiałem szkolnym, za pomocą których zostały ukazane możliwości wykorzystania wybranych technik w pracy z uczniem.
