The purpose of youth educational centers and sociotherapy centers is to work with children and young people experiencing functioning disorders of various origins. The special role of these institutions means that working in this field is extremely demanding for employees. Therefore, the aim of the article was to present the characteristics of psychosocial working conditions in educational and sociotherapy centers. Research in this area was reviewed. Potential relationships between the features of the work environment and the performed therapeutic work were shown. The need to continue research in this area as well as to create workplace prevention actions dedicated for this professional group was underlined.

Great needs of the country create a huge demand for the development of logistic centers, which in turn contributes to the development of a region. In western countries outsourcing has been an integral part of many enterprises for a long time. In Poland it is increasingly seen as a part of a long-term development strategy. Although Poland is only beginning to mark its presence in this area, it is quite often listed as one of the countries with a great potential to attract outsourcing. Among the competitive advantages of our country are geographical and cultural proximity to the markets of Western Europe, European Union membership, steady growth of direct foreign investments and highly qualified labor with knowledge of various European languages. Due to the above-mentioned advantages, many Polish cities easily compete with European business centers. The most successful of them are Krakow, Warsaw, Wroclaw, Lodz and Tricity. Analyzing outsourcing in Poland, we cannot forget its impact on region and on social processes like education, accommodation, traveling. The most important benefits from locating outsourcing companies in our country are the ability to attract further investment, additional revenues for the Treasury from taxes, lower unemployment rate, and finally stimulation of various social initiatives.

Od początku XXI w. Polska staje się tzw. rynkiem wschodzącym dla centrów usług dla biznesu. Tego rodzaju usługi o wyższym celu mogą stwarzać znaczącą szansę na rozwój potencjału gospodarczego zarówno kraju, jak i miast. W artykule przedstawiono niektóre aktualne informacje na temat centrów usług w kontekście zasobów ludzkich w największych miastach Polski. Opierając się na tych danych, przewiduje się podejmowanie przyszłych decyzji inwestycyjnych. Brany jest również pod uwagę aktualny stan gospodarki światowej. Wyniki pokazują, że pomimo spowolnienia tempa wzrostu gospodarczego w wielu krajach i sektorach centra usługowe w Polsce mogą nadal się rozwijać.
Since the beginning ofthe century Poland is becoming an emerging market for BPO and Shared Service Centers. Those kinds of higher order services may be an important chance to develop economic potential of the country, as well as its main cities. The paper shows some up to datę Information about service centers in the context of human resources in the biggest cities of Poland. Basing upon those data, some predictions about futurę investment decisions are madę. Current State of the global economy is also taken into consideration. The results show that, despite the downturn in many countries and sectors, service centers in Poland may still be growing.

W oparciu o miernik pojemności zestawiono nowy układ do pomiarów metodą niestacjonarnej spektroskopii pojemnościowej (DLTS). Rejestracja relaksacyjnych przebiegów pojemności pozwoliła na zastosowanie zaawansowanych procedur numerycznych, które umożliwiają uzyskanie dwuwymiarowych powierzchni widmowych. Na podstawie tych powierzchni możliwe jest następnie określenie temperaturowych zależności szybkości emisji nośników ładunku związanych z głębokimi poziomami defektowymi. Zależności te umożliwiają określenie podstawowych parametrów elektrycznych wykrytych centrów defektowych w materiałach półprzewodnikowych z większa precyzją i rozdzielczością niż dotychczas za pomocą spektrometru DLS-81. Artykuł opisuje projekt, budowę oraz proces uruchomienia nowego stanowiska pomiarowego do charakteryzacji centrów defektowych metodą niestacjonarnej spektroskopii pojemnościowej wraz z przykładowymi wynikami pomiarów oraz analizy numerycznej opartej na algorytmie korelacyjnym oraz algorytmie odwrotnej transformaty Laplace'a na przykładzie głębokich centrów defektowych wykrytych w warstwie epitaksjalnej 4H-SiC.
A new capacitance transient spectroscopy measurement system has been set up based on a capacitance meter. The acquisition of capacitance transients has allowed the application of advanced numerical methods which make obtaining two-dimensional spectral surfaces possible. These surfaces enable the determination of the temperature dependences of the emission rates of charge carriers related to deep defect levels. As a result, the electrical parameters of detected traps are likely to be specified with higher precision and resolution than when using the DLS-81 spectrometer. The present paper describes the design, construction and start up of the new measurement system for the characterization of defect centers by means of the deep level transient spectroscopy method with exemplary test results and a numerical analysis based on the correlation algorithm and the inverse Laplace transform algorithm for deep defect centers detected in the 4H-SiC epitaxial layer.

In times of prevailing civilization diseases physical activity has become not only a vital element of a healthy lifestyle but also a duty of every human being. Subsequently published studies present the levels of physical activity in various socio-professional groups and the degree to which they meet health promotion recommendations. The challenge of today's times however is the search for new, often atypical or niche social groups and their efforts in undertaking and promoting physical activity. Such a type of group undoubtedly includes persons in the Independent Cultural Centers (ICCs) operating in Poland. The research conducted among them is probably the first attempt to get to know this social group and, above all, the physical activity undertaken by its members. Despite the fact that the activities of Independent Cultural Centers are organized in a bottom-up manner, in accordance with the Do It Yourself principle, their initiatives, including those related to physical culture, enable participants to achieve beneficial health outcomes. The results of the conducted research show that, following the International Physical Activity Questionnaire (IPAQ) criteria, a vast majority of the respondents are sufficiently and highly active. Moreover, compared to similar groups in other respects, they also come out more favorably.

Background. The aim of this study was to identify the level of physical activity of members of Independent Cultural Centers (ICCs) operating in Poland. The choice of this group was dictated by the desire to identify unconventional initiatives (including various types of physical activities) that differentiate the group from previously researched socio-professional groups. Material and methods. The study included participants from all ICCs in Poland, represented by 38 women and 66 men aged 19 to 46 years. To assess their level of physical activity, the short version of the International Physical Activity Questionnaire (IPAQ short) was used. Results. For both sexes, physical activity at intensity levels of vigorous (VPA), moderate (MPA), light (walking) (LPA), as well as the total physical activity (TPA) of the subjects, were measured. Among men, weekly VPA energy expenditure was 1281.2 MET-min/week (SD = 763.6) and among women 1162.7 MET-min/wk. (SD = 644.6). For MPA, analysis of the results showed an energy expenditure of 918.8 MET-min/week (SD = 650.6) in women and 772.3 MET-min/week (SD = 455.5) in men. Weekly LPA energy expenditure was 1342 MET-min/ week in men (SD = 827.2) and 1341.3 MET-min/week in women (SD = 823.6). Conclusions. Respondents from the ICCs constituted a group characterized by positive physical activity scores. Women had higher results compared to men in the VPA, MPA and TPA analyses, although these differences were not statistically significant. The respondents’ results were also more favorable in relation to groups of students and members of other Polish associations and non-governmental organizations.
Wprowadzenie. Celem badań było rozpoznanie poziomu aktywności fizycznej członków Niezależnych Centrów Kultury (NCK) funkcjonujących na terenie Polski. Wybór tej grupy podyktowany był chęcią podjęcia próby rozpoznania nieszablonowych inicjatyw (w tym zajęć ruchowych), różniących ją od dotychczas badanych grup społeczno-zawodowych. Materiał i metody. W badaniu uwzględniono uczestników wszystkich aktywnie działających NCK na terenie Polski, reprezentowanych przez 38 kobiet i 66 mężczyzn w wieku od 19 do 46 lat. Do oceny poziomu aktywności fizycznej badanych, wykorzystano krótką wersję Międzynarodowego Kwestionariusza Aktywności Fizycznej (IPAQ short). Wyniki. Rozpoznano aktywność fizyczną badanych obojga płci na poziomie intensywności wysokiej (VPA), umiarkowanej (MPA), niskiej (chodzenie) (LPA) oraz całkowitą aktywność fizyczną (TPA) badanych. Wśród mężczyzn tygodniowy wydatek energetyczny VPA wynosił 1281,2 MET-min/tydz. (SD = 763,6), wśród kobiet 1162,7 MET-min/tydz. (SD = 644,6). W przypadku MPA analiza wyników wykazała wydatek energetyczny na poziomie 918,8 METmin/tydz. (SD = 650,6) u kobiet i 772,3 MET-min/tydz. (SD = 455,5) u mężczyzn. Tygodniowy wydatek energetyczny LPA wynosił 1342 MET-min/tydz. u mężczyzn (SD = 827,2) i 1341,3 MET-min/tydz. u kobiet (SD = 823,6). Wnioski. Respondenci z NCK byli grupą charakteryzującą się korzystnymi wynikami aktywności fizycznej. Kobiety uzyskały rezultaty wyższe w porównaniu do mężczyzn w analizach VPA, MPA oraz TPA choć nie były to różnice statystycznie istotne. Wyniki respondentów były także korzystniejsze, w odniesieniu do grup studentów oraz członków innych polskich stowarzyszeń i organizacji pozarządowych.

Building entrepreneurial companies is associated with taking actions to enable their general development, leading to application of innovative solutions, both in technology and management. Modern economy and pervasive crisis force entrepreneurs to search for alternative means for supporting the progress in order to be able to fight for customers against ‘foreign countries of cheaper production’ and, at the same time, to not being forced to use "drastic" methods of reducing production costs. This paper presents the already existing solutions that are not fully used in Polish reality, which are the network structures (clusters) that have beneficial economic impact and build integrated supply chains. The author is taking a theoretical attempt to connect concept of supply chains and clusters. Consolidation will relieve the individual companies and thereby will create opportunities to take new - common – actions, which together will create entrepreneurial network structure and bring individual benefits.

The Cooperation Centers, as one of the forms of cross-border police information exchange, are a relatively new form that has been operating in the Schengen area for about 10 years. Currently, there are about 20 such Cooperation Centers in Europe, which clearly shows that thanks to the speed and certainty of information exchange, they have secured a permanent place in the cooperation system of border, police and customs authorities. Świecko, as one of the largest institutions of this type, will certainly develop and contribute to the full integration of the Centers at the European level.
Streszczenie Centra Współpracy jako jedna z form transgranicznej policyjnej wymiany informacji są formą względnie nową, która w obszarze Schengen funkcjonuje od około 10 lat. W chwili obecnej w Europie działa około 20 tego typu Centrów Współpracy, co wyraźnie pokazuje, iż poprzez szybkość i pewność wymiany informacji zapewniły one sobie stałe miejsce w systemie współpracy organów granicznych, policyjnych i celnych. Świecko jako jedno z największych tego rodzaju placówek będzie się z pewnością rozwijało i zapewniało wkład do pełnej integracji Centrów na poziomie europejskim.

Changes in the global economy observed in the last decade are, to a significant extent, the result of the globalization of markets and the liberalization of international service-oriented turnover. The progressive globalization changes the conditions for the operation for the business entities of an international character. These companies, adapting to new market conditions, are seeking solutions which would allow them to maintain their competitiveness. One of the tools that companies use to improve their competitiveness is offshoring (BPO). This is a process related to the transfer of the implementation of production and service processes to the territory of another country. Location choice in the BPO decisions has become an important strand of the international business literature with a number of scholars examining the influence of host country variables such as property rights, intellectual property protection, public trust in politicians, government factors and others. Poland is the Central and Eastern European leader in the sector of modern business services. This country has many business service centers with foreign capital, which employ thousands of employees. Additionally, employment in this sector is systematically growing by 20% each year. Poland's attractiveness on the map of offshoring investment projects results mainly from a very well qualified and cheap workforce. Offshoring Centers located here offer both BPO and KPO services.

Paramagnetic centers in the two exemplary synthetic and natural dental biocompatible materials applied in implantology were examined by the use of an X-band (9.3 GHz) electron paramagnetic resonance (EPR) spectroscopy. The EPR spectra were measured in the range of microwave power 2.2–70 mW. The aims of this work were to compare paramagnetic centers concentrations in different dental biocompatible materials and to determine the effect of microwave power on parameters of their EPR spectra. It is the very fi rst and innovatory examination of paramagnetic centers in these materials. It was pointed out that paramagnetic centers existed in both natural (~1018 spin/g) and synthetic (~1019 spin/g) dental biocompatible materials, but the lower free radical concentration characterized the natural sample. Continuous microwave saturation of EPR spectra indicated that faster spin-lattice relaxation processes existed in synthetic dental biocompatible materials than in natural material. Linewidths (ΔBpp) of the EPR spectra of the natural dental material slightly increased for the higher microwave powers. Such effect was not observed for the synthetic material. The broad EPR lines (ΔBpp): 2.4 mT, 3.9 mT, were measured for the natural and synthetic dental materials, respectively. Probably strong dipolar interactions between paramagnetic centers in the studied samples may be responsible for their line broadening. EPR spectroscopy is the useful experimental method in the examination of paramagnetic centers in dental biocompatible materials.

Wobec tego przyjęto za cel zaprezentowanie charakterystyki psychospołecznych warunków pracy w ośrodkach wychowawczych i socjoterapii. Dokonano przeglądu badań w tym zakresie. Ukazano potencjalne zależności między cechami środowiska pracy a wykonywaną pracą terapeutyczną. Wskazano zarówno na potrzebę kontynuacji badań w tym zakresie, jak i działań profilaktycznych skierowanych do tej grupy zawodowej.
The purpose of youth educational centers and sociotherapy centers is to work with children and young people experiencing functioning disorders of various origins. The special role of these institutions means that working in this field is extremely demanding for employees. Therefore, the aim of the article was to present the characteristics of psychosocial working conditions in educational and sociotherapy centers. Research in this area was reviewed. Potential relationships between the features of the work environment and the performed therapeutic work were shown. The need to continue research in this area as well as to create workplace prevention actions dedicated for this professional group was underlined.

The article provides insight into some peculiarities of activity of Education Information Centers in France, Russia and Ukraine. Special attention is paid to diversity, innovativeness of their activity and concrete actions towards the elimination of information inequality among educators.
Artykuł pozwala wejrzeć w niektóre aspekty działalności Centrów Informacji Oświatowej we Francji, Rosji i Ukrainy. Szczególną uwagę zwrócono na różnorodność i innowacyjność ich działalności, podano także przykłady konkretnych działań w celu eliminacji nierówności dostępu do informacji dla nauczycieli mających wspierać ich działalność dydaktyczną.
