In the paper chosen problems of dynamics of caterpillar finger in an open metal seven eyelet hinge is described. A low reliability of the caterpillar chains seems to be a consequence of design proces s of agricultural tractors. For this reason, dynamic calculation of the caterpillar finger of tractor is presented. Probe is spent on tractor VT - 150 manufactures TK "VgTz" having caterpillars with seven eyelets cast track in a mode of correction of the set direction of working-class movement on plough. In the paper example results of theoretical and experimental researches is presented. Results of the study experimental of the dynamics loads in caterpillar finger of the tractor with plow have shown that it is possible his consideration as springy symmetric steel peg on two steel full tilts. Analysis of usage of the agricultural caterpillar tractors and results of calculations confirm that the dynamics calculations are more exact then previous assumptions. New recommendations to caterpillars constructors are put in order to increase tractors reliability. The frequency of caterpillar finger should be enlarged by increasing of his acerbity. In the paper, a new set of main parameters of VT — 150 caterpillar fingers is presented in comparison with nominal one.

For a graph G and any two vertices u and v in G, let d(u,v) denote the distance between u and v and let diam(G) be the diameter of G. A multilevel distance labeling (or radio labeling) for G is a function f that assigns to each vertex of G a positive integer such that for any two distinct vertices u and v, d(u,v) + |f(u) - f(v)| ≥ diam(G) + 1. The largest integer in the range of f is called the span of f and is denoted span(f). The radio number of G, denoted rn(G), is the minimum span of any radio labeling for G. A thorn graph is a graph obtained from a given graph by attaching new terminal vertices to the vertices of the initial graph. In this paper the radio numbers for two classes of thorn graphs are determined: the caterpillar obtained from the path Pₙ by attaching a new terminal vertex to each non-terminal vertex and the thorn star $S_{n,k}$ obtained from the star Sₙ by attaching k new terminal vertices to each terminal vertex of the star.

Main route of development of an agricultural tractor construction is raise of productivity of Caterpillar at the expense of increase in working speeds and tractors and tool width. Such direction of development demands simultaneous development of running systems and suspensions of caterpillars. The analysis of possibility of application of running system with triangular Caterpillar contour in farm tractors is in-process made. The mathematical model of the Caterpillar has been developed for research conducting realised in the environment of SIMULINK. Within the limits of conducting of the analysis of a construction of running system with triangular Caterpillar contour more effective construction of a suspension of a back idler in comparison with existing suspensions has been developed. On a designed construction of a suspension the patent is gained. The spent mathematical simulation of oscillations ofa case of a tractor with various arrangements of running systems and at tractor operation on the most widespread regimes has displayed efficiency as designed circuit design of a tractor with triangular contour, and a designed construction of a suspension of a back idler. Working out of a technique of optimisation of a suspension bracket of the developed running system as a whole under concrete conditions of operation is necessary.

Opis:
Recently leading producers of farm tractors even more often apply in running systems triangular caterpillar contour (TCC). In such running system one of the most problem knots is the back idler (BI) which is loaded by reaction from a caterpillar track and from weight of the casco having on this support. Thus the vertical component of reaction from a tension of a caterpillar track in addition loads with a tie-rod tangential force suspension bracket BI, thereby disturbing with a casco and reducing smoothness of a course of a tractor. Modelling and the analysis of dependence of affecting of vibration on a seat of the motor-man depending on applied type of a suspension bracket of a back idler are in-process executed. The analysis of parameters of smoothness of a course for the circuit design with triangular caterpillar contour and the offered suspension bracket of a back idler showed that in comparison with base configuration of a tractor of family VT On transport operations, at traffic on the soil road with the lifted tool, affectings on a seat of the operator decrease in 1,1-1,7 times in vertical and in 1.1-1.2 times in horizontal directions, at work with nominal loading, and also with Rkr=50 kN, on an eddish, provides minor alteration of smoothness of a course, the divergence of values of affecting on a seat of the operator, on the average, makes 12–19 %. In comparison with triangular caterpillar contour and "a classical" suspension bracket of a back idler, various displacement-yoke systems of a back idler, at work on transport operations, slightly influence a divergence of parameters of affecting on a seat of the operator which make 2.6 % and 4 % for vertical and horizontal affectings accordingly. At work with nominal loading on an eddish, affectings on a seat of the operator decrease in 1.7–2.7 times in vertical and in 1.4–1.8 times in horizontal directions and at work with draw-bar loading of Rkr=50 kN on an eddish, affectings on a seat of the operator decrease in 1.4–2.1 times in vertical and periodically increase on some speeds no more than by 30 % in a horizontal direction.

The article contains results of a conceptual work and research which develops a semi-active suspension of the 2S1 caterpillar platform. The results are collected on designed and built test stands and used in three alternative models of the platform suspension system. The first one is based on the existing construction of the platform. The other two have been modernized by using new solutions in the tracked vehicles suspension technology associated with a torsional spring element. The authors assumed simulation conditions for straight line driving while the model overcomes an obstacle in one track. The results of simulations are compared and analyzed to improve parameters of the vehicle suspension.

This article describes original method proposed by authors that provides decreasing of dynamic loading of tractor’s powertrain by means of change of reactive element torsional stiffness. In tracked vehicles one of the most loaded elements is final drive unit which loaded by high dynamic modes. In tractor Chetra 6C-315, final drive is epicyclic where stopped element is ring gear. Authors propose using of strictly resilient (5 degrees in forward-backward direction) mount of ring gear instead of stiffening. Design study of installation between hub and gear ring that connects drum and crown gear, of the resilient metal plates pack was performed. This pack is kind of elastic coupling. Resilient packets of coupling sustain loads and smooth over peak dynamic loads and after elastic deformation of these packets rigid coupling between hub and coupling crown is provided at contact surfaces of skewed stops of hub and crown. To analyse efficiency of proposed method of dynamic loadings decreasing of powertrain elements three-dimensional model of powertrain was created in “Universal Mechanism”. In addition, solid model of caterpillar mover was created in the same software for analysis of influence on powertrain loadings of complex of kinematic and dynamic factors influencing forming of torque on driving sprockets. This article presents results of modelling of loading processes in powertrains elements with elastic coupling and without it during longitudinal motion at various speeds and in turns with various radii. Results show that elements dynamic loading at high loading dynamic modes in case of installed coupling is decreased by 20-30%.

Result of the model's computational research is a set of oscillograms of the drive wheel’s torque changing for different operating modes. The values of power transmission masses' natural frequencies are obtained. The research of the nature of transmission sections' dynamic loading by torsional vibrations, that arise and spread on the shafting, when the linked track rewinds, is carried out. The diagrams show that local maximums of dynamic coefficients characterize the regimes with high hook load. The increase of torques for these sections happens because of approximation of the peculiar frequency of the system and the frequency of one of the harmonic components of stimulating actions. At this peak, value of the oscillation belongs to the masses, the partial frequencies of which are closest to the frequencies to the stimulation actions. Dynamic load of such sections is quite high. The material of these sections often gets fatigue damage, which can lead to breakdown. The analysis of the diagrams, made for basic operation speeds between 1,0 – 5,5 m/sec showed, that maximal peak values of dynamic coefficients appear on sections between 10 and 59 masses in the transmission. Maximal dynamic load of these sections appear at hook load from 0 to 40 kN.

Time Series Analysis of Leaf Area Index (LAI) is vital to the understanding of global vegetation dynamics. The LAI time series derived from satellite observations are usually not complete and noisy due to cloud contamination and uncertainties in the retrieval techniques. In this paper, the continuity and consistency of the MODIS 8 day LAI products are improved using a method based on Caterpillar Singular Spectrum Analysis. The proposed method is compared with other standard methods: Savitzky-Golay filter, Empirical Mode Decomposition, Low Pass filtering and Asymmetric Gaussian fitting. The experiment demonstrates the smoothing and gapfilling ability of the developed method, which is more robust across the biomes both in terms of root mean square error metrics and bias metrics as compared to the standard methods.

In the article are described the results of calculation researches of influence of ruggedness of fastening to aframe in cross-section and longitudinal planes of case parts of a power chain of a caterpillar, and also ruggedness of communication with aframe in the same planes of a combustion engine on dynamic stress loading of sites of a power train during movement with different speeds. Except the specified ruggedness of fastening, this dynamic loading depends on parameters of shifting jerks which take place in a power shafting owing to non-uniformity of action of the basic operational loadings - oscillations oftraction resistance, cross-section and axial vibrations of a framework of a tractor on a suspender, rewinds of a Caterpillar chain, non-uniformity of rotation of a shaft of the engine. Researches have shown that at the expense of steering of ruggedness of fastening to an engine bed and case parts of transmission it is possible to essentially lower dynamic stress loading of separate sites of transmission in movement modes when details of these sites are loaded as much as possible. The circuit solution is offered for realization in a fastening design to a frame of the case of transmission of caterpillars of VT family which will allow to lower stress loading of transmission details on certain speeds of movement.

Unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) is a typical aircraft that is operated remotely by a human operator or autonomously by an on-board microcontroller. The UAV typically carries offensive ordnance, target designators, sensors or electronic transmitters designed for one or more applications. Such application can be in the field of defence surveillance, border patrol, search, bomb disposals, logistics and so forth. These UAVs are also being used in some other areas, such as medical purposes including for medicine delivery, rescue operations, agricultural applications and so on. However, these UAVs can only fly in the sky, and they cannot travel on the ground for other applications. Therefore, in this paper, we design and present the novel concept-based UAV, which can also travel on the ground and rough terrain as an unmanned ground vehicle (UGV). This means that according to our requirement, we can use this as a quadcopter and caterpillar wheel–based UGV using a single remote control unit. Further, the current study also briefly discusses the two-dimensional (2D) and three-dimensional (3D) SolidWorks models of the novel concept-based combined vehicle (UAV + UGV), together with a physical model of a combined vehicle (UAV + UGV) and its various components. Moreover, the kinematic analysis of a combined vehicle (UAV + UGV) has been studied, and the motion controlling kinematic equations have been derived. Then, the real-time aerial and ground motions and orientations and control-based experimental results of a combined vehicle (UAV + UGV) are presented to demonstrate the robustness and effectiveness of the proposed vehicle.
