Opis:
Technological development has resulted in the digitization of many areas of life. The modern society is particularly defined as the “information society”, because of the fact that most of their activities take place on the Internet and thus the society is information-dependent. The introduced governmental sanitary restrictions (also in terms of the functioning of the economy) to limit the spread of the coronavirus caused that life has shifted to a greater extent to the Internet sphere. The aim of the study is to determine the potential impact of a pandemic on the virtualization of buying behavior. The conducted research is exploratory in nature and constitutes a valuable starting point for potential further directions of analyzes. The results of this study showed that excavating the topic of the impact of the pandemic on buying behavior in the area of consumption virtualization is justified, because in all the analyzed product categories there was a statistically significant change in the form of purchases.

Opis:
Świat konsumpcji zmusza go do ciągłego dążenia do szczęścia i nabywania jak największej ilości dóbr.
Modern consumer life is subordinated to constantly consuming. Only consumption can give you happiness. Image of a man and his position in society is shaped by what has and consumes. If this is not done is excluded by society. Contemporary consumer, who is considered to be a free person, making the choices according to their desires, is both confused and uncertain of their actions. World consumption compels him to constantly acquire as many possessions. The priority becomes the possession, which causes addiction consuming and, consequently, fatigue and weariness.

Opis:
The present research aimed to explore the impact of sales promotions on consumer behavior during the COVID-19 pandemic. The study analyzed consumer reactions to various promotion types such as bonuses, coupons, buy one get one free, vouchers, free samples, and price discounts. The aim was to investigate if these promotions positively influence consumer purchasing behavior and if the pandemic has induced over purchasing behavior due to panic. During the research, 541 randomly selected respondents from Azerbaijan and Poland were involved and the results showed that sales promotions have a positive effect on the consumer buying behavior and lead to an increase in purchases beyond the consumers’ actual needs. This is particularly true during times of economic uncertainty when consumers are searching for discounted products to save money and minimize household spending.

Opis:
Research background: This paper integrates the marketing and corporate social responsibility concepts by investigating how the previous studies debated CSR as a business strategy. This discussion extended from academics to business practices. Hence, this study investigated the concept of CSR as a business strategy in a multifactorial fashion in the marketing field. Purpose of the article: This study evaluates the modified model of CSR initiatives as business and marketing strategy and their impact on customers' buying behavior. For this purpose, we have taken dimensions of Carroll's pyramid of CSR as marketing strategies. We have also examined the influence of brand loyalty and cause-related marketing as mediating variables and technology as a moderator between dimensions of Carroll's pyramid and customers' buying behavior. Methods: We employed modified theoretical & conceptual model for evaluating the direct and indirect hypothesized relationship. We have collected 693 responses from the structured and adapted questionnaire. The survey was done among marketing and senior managers of the Asian pharmaceutical industry. We employed SEM-based multivariate modeling to examine the hypothesized relationship. Findings & value added: The finding of this research exhibited that dimensions of Carroll's pyramid of CSR have a positive and significant impact on customers' buying behavior. The results further demonstrated that brand loyalty and cause-related marketing positively and significantly impact mediators between CSR dimensions and customers' buying behavior. Finally, the technology has a significant influence as a moderator between exogenous and endogenous factors. The undertaken study demonstrated important theoretical and practical implications. The modified conceptual framework has provided several new dimensions for future researchers to use and replicate in different economic sectors. On the other hand, practitioners of the pharmaceutical industry should incorporate Carroll's CSR pyramid as business strategies to gain the trust and respect of their customers.

Opis:
Purpose: The overriding goal of the presented considerations is to discuss beacons as consumer-brand touchpoints. In addition, the possibilities of using these sensors at various stages of the customer journey to implement the assumptions of the 5A model and build a lasting relationship with the buyer were indicated. Design/methodology/approach: In order to build a lasting relationship with the consumer, it is necessary to conduct multidimensional marketing communication based on numerous touchpoints. This interaction is assisted by mobile devices and many different technological solutions. One of them may be beacons, supporting consumer service at every stage of the customer journey. As part of the considerations, it was examined how the sensors can support marketing activities at individual stages of the customer journey. Findings: As part of the research, it was determined what role beacons can play at every stage of the customer journey, as well as their connections with promotion-mix elements. An attempt has been also made to indicate how these devices can create a holistic experience leading to buyer satisfaction and ultimately their loyalty. Research limitations/implications: The article contains a preliminary study. In the future it is planned to conduct additional quantitative and qualitative research. The study will help to perform a comprehensive analysis of the application being discussed. Practical implications: The article can help businesses to better realize the potential of beacons as a tool to support consumers during the shopping experience. It shows practical ways of using devices as part of individual promotional mix elements, which allows for their optimal use at all stages of the customer journey. Originality/value: Although the topic of beacons in commerce appears in academic publications, only a few of them relate these devices to the customer journey. This paper comprehensively deals with this topic and focuses on the relationship between sensors, the 5A model and the promotion mix tools.

Opis:
Online impulse buying is a complex behavior that is determined by many factors, not only external but also internal. Some consumers are less prone to irrational behavior than others. The aim of this study was to explore the impulse buying tendencies of challenging e-consumers. Due to the specificity of the profession, characteristics of highly educated people, and the generational mentality, academics of Generation X were assumed to be representatives of these e-consumers, unwilling to impulse buying. The data collected with an online survey confirmed this assumption. Respondents had not only a negative opinion of studied behavior but also a low tendency to it. Furthermore, this study was to indicate a group of stimuli that would induce unplanned purchases among challenging e-consumers. The results suggest that academics are more prone to impulse buying if it can be rationalized with, e.g., product utility or monetary savings, than in the case of purely emotional or hedonic reasons.
