The article deals with the issue of television broadcast of religious events and in particular of the accompanying commentary. The case study pertains to the broadcast of the Eucharistic procession during the feast of Corpus Christi in TVP Polonia on June 23, 2011. Analysis of the media message showed that the task of the commentator and producer of the programme should consist in bringing out the rich variety of dimensions of the presented religious event. In the case of the Eucharistic procession those dimensions are first of all cultic, christocentric, sanctifying and history of salvation, and secondly the public and semeiological dimensions of the cultic act. Since the programme of the new evangelization asserts that the Church strives to introduce the issue of the proclamation of the Kingdom of God to the modern world also through mass media, it seems that the postulate of such a television broadcast which would show the true identity of the Christian community is valid and timely.

Opis:
A strong multiple designated verifiers signature (SMDVS) enables a signer to convince a set of verifiers by generating one signature, of which the verification needs a private key of a verifier. After a brief survey of current SMDVS schemes, we find no schemes suitable to a broadcast propagation, where the simulation needs only one verifier's private key. Motivated by this discovery, we propose a broadcast SMDVS scheme. The new scheme is proven secure in the random oracle model.

Let S = (a₁, a₂, ...) be an infinite nondecreasing sequence of positive integers. An S-packing k-coloring of a graph G is a mapping from V(G) to {1,2,...,k} such that vertices with color i have pairwise distance greater than $a_i$, and the S-packing chromatic number $χ_S(G)$ of G is the smallest integer k such that G has an S-packing k-coloring. This concept generalizes the concept of proper coloring (when S = (1,1,1,...)) and broadcast coloring (when S = (1,2,3,4,...)). In this paper, we consider bounds on the parameter and its relationship with other parameters. We characterize the graphs with $χ_S = 2$ and determine $χ_S$ for several common families of graphs. We examine $χ_S$ for the infinite path and give some exact values and asymptotic bounds. Finally we consider complexity questions, especially about recognizing graphs with $χ_S = 3$.

Quantitative research based on earlier research format AD06 Survey (Anketa AD06) is focused on in the present paper. In terms of most possible relevancy the research uses a broad respondent sample. The conclusions of the research sketch the problems of advertisement broadcast time, the impact of advertisement on consumer action such as purchase and the problem of advertisement’s impact on the behaviour of consumer in social surrounding. The conclusions also deal with further findings, interpretation and prognosis in areas of purchase behaviour of consumers.

In different this paper we present the performance evaluation study of a simple broadcast data dissemination technique in new emerging Vehicular Ad hoc Networks (VANETs). Differently from the traditional Mobile Ad hoc NETworks (MANETs), VANETs require particular routing protocols, due to the high dynamism of the network topology, and to different traffic and mobility patterns. For safety and emergency message applications, broadcast data dissemination is an important key factor in VANETs. However, the design of optimal deployment of relay nodes in different network scenarios allows to enhance system performance. At this aim, this work analyzes vehicular network performances in terms of throughput and delays, for different traffic scenarios, exploiting both inter-vehicular communications, as well as the availability of fixed network infrastructure.

Relay-based cooperative wireless networks have been widely considered one of the cost-effective solutions to meet the demands in future wireless networks. In order to maximize the overall sum-rate while maintaining proportional fairness among users, we investigate different resource allocation algorithms in two-way relay networks with analog network coding (ANC) protocol and time division broadcast (TDBC) protocol. The algorithms investigated are different from traditional proportional fairness schemes in terms of fairness and computational complexity as we have applied Access Proportional Fairness (APF) and Minimum Rate Proportional Fairness (MRPF) along with load balancing at the relays. A MATLAB simulation has been performed and simulation results show the effectiveness of these algorithms.

While the community media sector may be reported as established and well developed in Western Europe, it has grown considerably more slowly in almost all countries in Central and Eastern Europe. Th e literature on community media in Europe is also Western oriented — most of the publications about this sector centre on countries which were located on “the better side” of the Iron Curtain and have been written by Western authors. Th is paper is the fi rst attempt to look at the problem of community media in Central and Eastern Europe in general and present the specifi c problems of community media development in this region from an Eastern perspective. According to the Mapping Project of Community Media completed by the Community Media Forum Europe in 2012, the community media sector is legally recognized in only four countries from this region.

W artykule są analizowane tytuły audycji radiowych zawierających nazwy rozgłośni. Celem analiz było ustalenie, jakich technik formalnych używa się, by umieścić nazwę stacji w tytule audycji; w jakim celu się to robi i które cechy współczesnego radia są w ten sposób eksponowane. Zbadano zawartość ramówek ok. 120 stacji różnego typu z całej Polski.
This article presents the analysis of radio broadcast containing the names of radio stations. The goal is to indicate what formal techniques are used to place the name of the radio station in the title of the radio broadcast. Moreover, attempt is being made to evidence what are the techniques to emphasise the name of the radio station in this way. Conclusions are being drawn on the basis of 120 radio stations and their broadcast services.

Every human activity has its own distinctive, diverse varieties of expression. Furthermore, specific genre patterns correspond to characteristic situations of language actions. In this article I approach the hearings before the Parliamentary Investigation Committee as a genological and communication phenomenon. The aim of the article is to define hearings before the Investigation Committee as a variety of text genre and to present its typological determinants. In this study I will attempt to answer the question whether the operation of the Investigation Committee was conducive to crystallizing a relatively new genre of political and media-related communication, as well as whether there exists a genre pattern of these hearings. In my analysis I paid special attention to the comparison between the questioning of witnesses during a court trial and before an investigation committee. I presented the structure of communication, linguistic rendition, non-linguistic conditions of hearings, and the impact of mass media on the shape of the statements that were produced. The analysis was limited to the hearings of the Parliamentary Investigation Committee for Betting and Gambling, which dealt with the so-called “Gambling scandal”. The language of expression during live coverage of these hearings was taken into account in this article. However, while examining the linguistic structure and the language layer, I rely on text transcripts which constitute a record of the said statements and which reflect its specific characteristics. Eleven transcripts of the Committee meetings were used in this study.

In computational tasks of satellite geodesy there is a need for transformation of coordinates between reference frames ECEF – Earth Centered, Earth Fixed and ECI – Earth Centered, Inertial. Strict and simplified transformation models, which can be used in case of the position and velocity short-term predictions of GLONASS satellites, have been presented in this study. Comparison of the results of state vector components predictions of the GLONASS satellites, in dependence of the used transformation model, have also been presented. Accuracy of the prediction has been determined on the basis of the analyse of deviations of the predicted positions and velocities of GLONASS satellites from their values given in broadcast ephemeris.

W artykule zaprezentowano porównanie współczesnych telewizyjnych transmisji sportowych z transmisjami z lat siedemdziesiątych i osiemdziesiątych XX wieku. Ponad trzydzieści lat to dla telewizji okres dużych zmian zarówno technologicznych, jak i kulturowych. To także czas zmian w zakresie metodologii, która dawniej koncentrowała się przede wszystkim na strukturalizmie. W artykule wykorzystano wyniki badań Jana Ożdżyńskiego i Wacława Cockiewicza, w odniesieniu do których scharakteryzowano współczesne transmisje. W aspekcie językowym widać przede wszystkim duże zmiany w zakresie liczby wypowiadanych słów, a także struktury składniowej.
The paper includes a linguistic specification of the television genre, which has rarely been studied. Monographs regarding live sports coverage were written in the 1970s and 80s, i.e. over thirty years ago. For television, that period was a time of change, both technological and cultural, however, considering different methodologies, which in the case of the studies mentioned was more structuralism-focussed. In terms of language can be seen especially large changes in terms of the number of words and syntatic structure.

In this paper pros and cons of digital audio broadcasting and webcasting transmission techniques in a network quality perspective are described. A case study of user expectations with respect to currently available services is analyzed, and the perceived quality of real digital broadcasted and webcasted radio stations is examined.
