Opis:
Geometrical measurements of car bodies appear mainly in connection with post accident repair processes. They appear also independently in diagnostic measurements. Presentation of measuring systems is very actual in relation to a large number of car accidents. Diagnostic tests of repaired car body and restoring its nominal sizes are essential for safe traffic. The subject area is particularly interesting for service and repairing units e.g. tinsmith's workshops, but also for car experts. In the article, the methods of car body measurements will be characterized on the example of the use of simple telescopic gauges up to fully computerized electronic measuring systems. The examples of measuring card with basic points, being the nominal points’ coordinates, are presented as well as suggestions concerning the kinds of measuring tips ascribed to those points. Each card with basic points is characteristic only for a particular type of a car body. The examples of illustrations, with visible points on a car body where a prescribed measuring tip should be applied, are also shown. At the end an attempt of measurements' accuracy estimation will be presented on the example of one of electronic measuring devices.

Opis:
Escherichia coli small heat shock proteins, IbpA/B, function as molecular chaperones and protect misfolded proteins against irreversible aggregation. IbpA/B are induced during overproduction of recombinant proteins and bind to inclusion bodies in E. coli cells. We investigated the effect of ΔibpA/B mutation on formation of inclusion bodies and biological activity of enzymes sequestered in the aggregates in E. coli cells. Using three different recombinant proteins: Cro-β-galactosidase, β-lactamase and rat rHtrA1 we demonstrated that deletion of the ibpA/B operon did not affect the level of produced inclusion bodies. However, in aggregates containing IbpA/B a higher enzymatic activity was detected than in the IbpA/B-deficient inclusion bodies. These results confirm that IbpA/B protect misfolded proteins from inactivation in vivo.

Opis:
During reaction to stress caused by viral infection, RNA granules are formed in order to protect mRNA. Stress granules (SG) and processing bodies (PB) provide cell homeostasis and mRNA stability. They are formed, for example, during polio virus and MRV (mammalian orthoreovirus) infections. Some viruses, such as influenza virus and HTLV-1 (Human T-lymphotropic virus 1), block the formation of granules. In addition, there are viruses like West Nile Virus, Hepatitis C Virus (HCV) or human Herpes viruses, which influence the functioning of the granules.

Objective: The aim of this study was to evaluate cases of of ear, nose and pharyngeal (ENT) foreign body (FB) in pediatric patients referred to the pediatric emergency department of the Department of Otorhinolaryngology in Tokat State Hospital (Turkey). Methods: The paper comprises a retrospective study of all ENT foreign bodies presented to the pediatric emergency Department of Otorhinolaryngology in Tokat State Hospital (Turkey) between January 1, 2012 and December 31, 2018. Subject to evaluation were also demographic and clinical characteristics of the patients, types and anatomic locations of FBs, locations of FB by age groups, the method used to remove FBs and the distribution of FB cases by months. Results: A total of 829 FB cases were evaluated in this study. The mean age of patients was 47.8 ± 31.4 months. Of all patients, 404 (48.5%) were male, and 425 (51.2%) were female. The nose (58.7%) and the ear (20.2%) were the most common anatomical locations followed by mouth/pharynx/tonsil (12.3%), esophagus (6.2%) and the laryngotracheobronchial tree (2.4%). The most common FBs in different locations were beads in the nose (30.8%), beads in the ear (32.1%), fishbones in the mouth/pharynx/tonsil (56.8%), nuts and peanuts in laryngotracheobronchial tree (70%) and a coin/disc battery in the esophagus (80.7%). Conclusion: FB in ENT is among the emergency conditions that require different diagnostic and treatment approaches based on anatomic localizations. Proper vision, adequate equipment and immobilization are important in the removal of ENT foreign bodies in children.

According to Michel Foucault cultural patterns in discursive practices differ and reflect the discursive apriori, or episteme, of a given epoch. Episteme is a notion introduced by Foucault in order to explain changing systems of thought, it indicates “the underlying orders, or ‘conditions of possibility’ which regulate the emergence of various scientific or pre-scientific forms of knowledge during specific periods of history. These ‘epistemological fields’ give rise to ‘diverse forms of empirical science’” (Foucault 2009: 168). The work titled “Discipline and Punish” is the example of such an empirical approach to history, where all the rules, scientific or pre-scientific forms of knowledge are revealed. The book written by Foucault is a systematic and specific analysis of discursive practices that work in societies of control. Foucault analyzes many such practices starting from severe punishment of the convicted Damiens in 1757, through the hierarchic supervision and normative sanction at the turn of XVIII and XIX century, and ending with the explanations of the workings of contemporary discipline societies with its oppressive rigor in schools, hospitals and prisons.In my presentation I would like to describe these different discursive formations and practices that have been in use in the past or present societies and to present them as certain cultural patterns characteristic to various cultures and societies on different levels of development.

The aim of the article is to offer proposals for reforming and speeding up health care in Ukraine, in particular by comparing the current system with a decentralized system. The methodology of this research follows basic social science methods (formal analysis, inductive method, deductive method, analogy, synthesis, etc.). With these methods, we address the issues of the health care reform in Ukraine. The article explores the issue of improving the health care in Ukraine. The Ukrainian government is carrying out two important reforms – a health care reform and a decentralization reform that includes changes in the municipal government. These two reforms have a huge potential for improving Ukraine’s health care system. Such potential remains largely untapped.

A novel antibacterial protein with a molecular mass of 44 kDa has been isolated from dried fruiting bodies of the wild mushroom Clitocybe sinopica. Sodium dodecyl sulfate/polyacrylamide gel electrophoresis showed that the protein was composed of two subunits each with a molecular mass of 22 kDa. Its N-terminal amino-acid sequence, SVQATVNGDKML, has not been reported for other antimicrobial proteins. The purification protocol included ion exchange chromatography on DEAE-cellulose, CM-cellulose and Q-Sepharose, and gel filtration by fast protein liquid chromatography on Superdex 75. The antibacterial protein was adsorbed on all three ion exchangers. The antimicrobial activity profile of the protein against tested bacterial and fungal strains disclosed that it possessed potent antibacterial activity against Agrobacterium rhizogenes, A. tumefaciens, A. vitis, Xanthomonas oryzae and X. malvacearum with a minimum inhibitory concentration mostly below 0.6 µM. However, it had no antibacterial activity against Pseudomonas batatae, Erwinia herbicola, Escherichia coli, and Staphylococcus aureus, and no antifungal activity against Setosphaeria turcica, Fusarium oxysporum, Verticillium dahliae, Bipolaris maydis, and B. sativum. The antibacterial antivity against A. tumefaciens was stable after exposure to 20-60°C for 30 min and to pH 4-9 for 1h.

In the article The nature and the meaning of the activities of National Coun-cil of the Judiciary we find a historic view leading to creating of this institution. The council arises as result of the reconstruction of the system in Poland and becomes a constitutional body which stands on the guard of the independence of courts and independences of judges. We find a description of the organizational structure of the institution. The Council consists of the persons fulfilling highest functions in judicial institutions nominated by the President of Poland and the group of the outstanding judges appointed in the way of the election. The competences of the Council concern the important and delicate matter of the judging. Therefore the first group of the competences of the Council refers to undertaking actions in relation to judges and candidates on judges. The second group of the competences was determined in laws and concerns undertaking of resolutions, investigating of motions and presenting of candidates on other im-portant posts in State-institutions related to the judicial power. The National Council of the Judiciary in the matter of the own organization has the total au-tonomy and through this has an independent position in the political system of the state. This rule expresses herself mainly in exclusive appointing of various internal commissions. Council committees are teams of council members which are her internal organizational units of the auxiliary character, enabling the effec-tive exercise of constitutional and statutory tasks of the Council.

The Brown Coal Research Institute started the solving of the research project based on the optimisation of the shape and material of ground and mining machines in 2018. This research is necessary for increasing of efficiency of mining process in conditions of the Most Basin. The very important part of the research was the geological characteristic of the Most Basin main mining localities. Evaluation of the geological situation of the Bílina, Vršany and Libouš mines (mining of the overburden rocks in the ČSA mine finished) is the first stage of the solving of the project described in this article. The occurrence of sandy strata and the parameters of hard rocks are the most important parameters. The most important used laboratory analyses were the content of crystalline quartz, content of siderite, content of calcite and compressive strength. The location of the overburden cuts with similar mining conditions in different mining localities, very important for need of future research, is described in the end of this article.

The effect of the geodetic rotation (which includes two relativistic effects: geodetic precession and geodetic nutation) is the most significant relativistic effect in the rotation of the celestial bodies. For the first time in this research, this relativistic effect is determined in the rotation of dwarf planets (Ceres, Pluto, and Charon) and asteroids (Pallas, Vesta, Lutetia, Europa, Ida, Eros, Davida, Gaspra, Steins, and Itokawa) in the Solar System with known values of their rotation parameters. Calculations of the values of their geodetic rotation are made by a method for studying any bodies in the Solar System with a long-term ephemeris. Values of geodetic precession and geodetic nutation for all these celestial bodies were calculated in ecliptic Euler angles relative to their proper coordinate systems and in their rotational elements relative to the fixed equator of the Earth and the vernal equinox (at the epoch J2000.0). The obtained analytical values of the geodetic rotation for the celestial bodies can be used to numerically investigate their rotation in the relativistic approximation, and also used to estimate the influence of relativistic effects on the orbital–rotational dynamics for the bodies of exoplanetary systems.
