    The increased popularity of cycling in Poland has given new prospects for interdisciplinary research. This enabled multifaceted analysis of recreational activity based on a network of bike trails. One such well-functioning and well-managed network is the Wielkopolska System of Bike Trails which is especially popular in the Poznań agglomeration. The aim of this paper was to present pre-developed methods for analysing a network of bike trails in terms of physical activity and recreational attractiveness as well as to present preliminary results concerning an exemplary trail. The obtained results will enable further development of the methods in order to quite a vague statement make them more precise. Then, the methods will be used to analyse a landscape, trails, and cyclists in order to create a targeted tourist and recreational offer for the Poznań agglomeration based on the Wielkopolska System of Bike Trails.

    Opis:
    The everyday use of the bicycle is becoming increasingly common. People noticed the need to take care of both their health and the environment. The geographical location of Poland encourages cycling, which is the reason new kilometres of cycling routes are being built every year. This is associated with the rising interest in buying a bicycle. A conceptual tricycle with an additional electric drive powered by solar panels is presented in this article. The photovoltaic panel is installed on the basket roof. The electric motor may be used during an uphill ride and when the driver has run out of energy for pedalling. In the crank mechanism, there is a sensor which starts the motor when a small foot pressing force on the pedal is detected. The tricycle has an all-purpose structure, owing to which the seat mounted in the basket can be easily replaced with a double seat, a shopping bin or a child's safety seat. The tricycle may be used by both private persons and companies involved in tourist transport. The cost of the structural details of the tricycle suggested in this article does vary considerably from standard electric bikes, however, that solution has several important advantages, which may be decisive in the purchase of this solution.

    Polityka rowerowa staje się dla polskich miast szansą na rozwiązanie jednych z najpoważniejszych problemów: smogu i nadmiernego zatłoczenia dróg. Celem artykułu jest analiza pojęcia polityki rowerowej i jej elementów, które przyczyniają się do popularyzacji jazdy na rowerze i promowania roweru jako środka transportu, służącego do codziennego poruszania się po mieście. W pracy przeanalizowane zostały działania wdrażane w miastach europejskich, które odniosły sukces oraz zawierają zbiór dobrych praktyk. Na tym tle pokazane zostały polityki rowerowe polskich miast, zarówno z ich osiągnięciami, jak dynamiczny przyrost ścieżek rowerowych, czy działalność systemów roweru miejskiego, a także słabymi stronami, jak brak nadania im priorytetowego znaczenia i kompleksowego podejścia oraz niewystarczająca promocja tego środka transportu.
    Cycling policy is becoming a chance for Polish cities to solve one of the most acute problems: smog and high congestion. The aim of the article is to analyse the term of cycling policy and its elements which contribute to popularization of cycling and promoting it as a mean of transport for everyday urban mobility. The paper contains the analysis of measures implemented in the European cities, which have become successful and provide a set of good practices. Using this background, the cycling policies of Polish cities were analysed with their achievements, like dynamic growth of cycling paths as well as bikesharing systems, and shortcomings, like a lack of prioritising and comprehensive approach, and insufficient promotional activities of this mean of transport.
