Opis:
In an exploitation process engine, there are physic-chemical changes of oil, which make impurities oil have a different characteristic. It is mainly connected with the element systems and greasy materials that react between themselves. The changes are constant and they mirror their new exploiting character. Deteriorating characteristics of oil influence its usefulness in a using process. The aim of the thesis is to show the results of exploitation research of engine oil that is used in transportation, basically by the Public Transport Company. The research mainly focuses on engine oil exploited in the buses of a public transport. They are of the following type: MAN NL, MAN NG, JELCZ 181 MG. O They have multi-seasonal oil like TEDEX, DIESEL, TRUCK SHPD SAE:15 W-40. The subject of the research is the processes that occur in engine oil while its exploitation. On the basis of the research, it was possible to specify the nature of the engine oil aging processes as well as the impact of the exploiting conditions on a temporal state of the main parameters that characterize the suitability of the engine oil. It has been proved that there is a lack of suitable and reliable methods of diagnosing and controlling the engine oil state while its exploitation. The following thesis is the first step to make the attempt to lengthen the distance in kilometres travelled of engine oil and determine the limit states of the crucial parameters on the basis of a real index.

Opis:
The model was governed by a system of ordinary differential equations; the population into susceptible individuals (S), Exposed individuals (E), infected individuals (I) and Recovered individuals (Q). Theory of positivity and boundedness was used to investigate the well-posedness of the model. Equilibrium solutions were investigated analytically. The basic reproduction number (R0) were calculated using the next generation operator method. Bifurcation analysis and global stability of the model were carried out using centre manifold theory and Lyapunov functions respectively. The effects of parameters such as efficacy of Condom (κ), Effective Contact Rate (β), Compliance of Condom (θ), Progression Rate (ρ) and Treatment Rate (α) on R0 were explored through sensitivity analysis. The possibility of mitigating the spread of gonorrhea in the population has been studied. It can be concluded that parameters representing efficacy of Condom, Effective Contact Rate, Compliance of Condom, Progression Rate and Treatment Rate are significant in reducing the burden of gonorrhea disease in the population.

In this paper, a deterministic mathematical model for the transmission dynamics of Visceral leishmaniasis (VL) was formulated and analyzed. The basic reproductive number R0 was obtained using the next generation matrix method. The model which was parameterized using the 2011 cases of Visceral Leishmaniasis in South Sudan, was used to assess two control measures. Numerical simulation reveals that the exposed population is reduced by high detection rate, and low biting rate of sandflies. Further, our model simulation gave the values of the contact rate of susceptible human, α1 and the detection rate of new cases, σ at which the basic reproductive number is less than one, (R0 < 1), equal to one (R0 = 1) and greater than one (R0 > 1).

Opis:
Equilibrium analysis in autonomous evolutionary models is of central importance for developing long term treatments. This task typically includes checks on the existence and stability of some equilibria. Prior to touching on the stability, one often attempts to determine the existence where the basic reproductive number R0 plays a critical role as a threshold parameter. When analyzing a nontrivial equilibrium (e.g., an endemic, boundary, or coexistence equilibrium) where R0 is explicit, we usually come across a typical result: if R0 > 1, then a nontrivial equilibrium exists in the biological sense. However, for more sophisticated models, R0 can be too complicated to be revealed in terms of the involving parameters; the task of relating the formulation of a nontrivial equilibrium to R0 thus becomes intractable. This paper shows how to mitigate such a problem with the aid of functional analysis, adopting the framework of a nonlinear eigenvalue problem. An equilibrium equation is first to be transformed into a canonical equation in a lower dimension, and then the existence is confirmed under several conditions. Three models are tested showing the applicability of this approach.

Opis:
A deterministic mathematical model of the Middle East respiratory syndrome (MERS) disease is introduced. Medical masks, supportive care treatment and a government campaign about the importance of medical masks will be involved in the model as time dependent variables. The problem is formulated as an optimal control one to minimize the number of infected people and keep the intervention costs as low as possible. Assuming that all control variables are constant, we find a disease free equilibrium point and an endemic equilibrium point explicitly. The existence and local stability criteria of these equilibria depend on the basic reproduction number. A sensitivity analysis of the basic reproduction number with respect to control parameters tells us that the intervention on medical mask use and the campaign about the importance of medical masks are much more effective for reducing the basic reproduction number than supportive care intervention. Numerical experiments for optimal control problems are presented for three different scenarios, i.e., a scenario of different initial conditions for the human population, a scenario of different initial basic reproduction numbers and a scenario of different budget limitations. Under budget limitations, it is much better to implement the medical mask intervention in the field, rather than give supportive care to control the spread of the MERS disease in the endemic prevention scenario. On the other hand, the medical mask intervention should be implemented partially together with supportive care to obtain the lowest number of infected people, with the lowest cost in the endemic reduction scenario.

Opis:
It has always been a priority for all nations to reduce new HIV infections by implementing a comprehensive HIV prevention programme at a sufficient scale. Recently, the ‘HIV counselling & testing’ (HCT) campaign is gaining public attention, where HIV patients are identified through screening and immediately sent under a course of antiretroviral treatment (ART), neglecting the time extent they have been infected. In this article, we study a nonlinear mathematical model for the transmission dynamics of HIV/AIDS system receiving drug treatment along with effective awareness programs through media. Here, we consider two different circumstances: when treatment is only effective and when both treatment and awareness are included. The model is analyzed qualitatively using the stability theory of differential equations. The global stabilities of the equilibria under certain conditions are determined in terms of the model reproduction number. The effects of changes in some key epidemiological parameters are investigated. Projections are made to predict the long term dynamics of the disease. The epidemiological implications of such projections on public health planning and management are discussed. These studies show that the aware populations were less vulnerable to HIV infection than the unaware population.
