Opis:: W pracy przedstawiono krótką charakterystykę dwuwymiarowych kodów DataMatrix oraz propozycje zastosowania ich do znakowania produktów, narzędzi, towarów wykorzystywanych w produkcji rolniczej. Symbole DataMatrix posiadają dużą pojemność informacyjną pozwalające na zakodowanie w nich pełniejszej informacji o oznakowanym produkcie czy przedmiocie.
The paper presents a short overview of the two-dimensional DataMatrix codes, together with suggestions for their implementation in the marking of products, tools, and other goods used in farming. The DataMatrix code symbols are characterized by high data capacity allowing for encoding a wider range of information concerning the marked object or product.

Opis:: Purpose This paper describes selected control and calibration procedures of some surveying instruments and tools (digital levels and code bar levelling staffs, total stations and electronic tacheometers, and reflective systems). Methods The calibration of horizontal circles of optical and electronic theodolites can be carried out under laboratory conditions, e.g. on an automated device for the calibration of optical polygons EZB-3 in the Slovak Institute of Metrology in Bratislava (SIM). Results The results of testing the influence of lighting when working with a digital levelling instrument are presented. Furthermore, the procedure and results of the calibration of horizontal circles of surveying instruments on a calibration device (Slovak Institute of Metrology in Bratislava) are described in this paper. Practical implications The result of such calibration is a set of horizontal scale corrective values for particular nominal values of the scale, determined using a series of measurements, and eventually the provision of the parameters of approximating function. Originality/ value The use of a laser interferometer (laser measurement system XL 10 f. RENISHAW) for the calibration of the code leveling rod, respectively of the system calibration (digital leveling device – code late) prepared by the Department of Geodesy, SUT Bratislava with the help of European projects, will then be implemented in a unique facility in the Slovak Republic.

Opis:: Long-term accident-free operation of the main pipelines depends on monitoring of their technical state, level of their maintenance, realization of physical methods of their diagnostics. Currently used types of main pipeline marking system, which should be replaced with individual bar and QR codes, are considered. This allows combining the information capabilities of various diagnostic systems, repairs and examinations, maintain an individual history of each pipe and monitor pipe operation with allowable defects for underground pipelines.
Długoterminowa bezawaryjna praca głównych rurociągów zależy od monitorowania ich stanu technicznego, poziomu ich utrzymania i prowadzenia fizycznych metod diagnostyki. Rozpatrzono obecnie stosowane rodzaje oznaczeń głównych rurociągów, które należy zastąpić indywidualnymi kodami paskowymi i kodami QR. Umożliwia to łączenie informacji o różnych systemach diagnostycznych, naprawach i badaniach oraz utrzymywanie indywidualnej historii każdej rury i monitorowanie pracy rurociągu z dopuszczalnymi defektami dla podziemnych rurociągów.

Napisał bardzo popularną książkę adresowaną do młodego prawnika, w formie listów. Zawiera ona porady oraz wskazówki. Dla Czytelnika z Polski szczególnego waloru nabiera fragment o właściwym dobieraniu sobie autorytetów, w którym wskazuje, kto dla niego – Dershowitza jest niewątpliwym autorytetem. To Jan Karski – polski bohater narodowy, który informował świat o Holokauście i apelował o pomoc dla polskich Żydów, będąc delegatem polskiego rządu w Londynie. Rady Dershowitza mogą czasami zaskakiwać, ale niewątpliwie stanowią powód do refleksji.
Alan Dershowitz is one of the most distinguished American advocates and, at the same time, one of the most controversial law professors at Harvard University. He wrote a very popular book addressed to a young lawyer in the form of letters. It contains several advices and tips. For the Polish reader, the part about the proper choice of father figuers will be of special value. Therein, he indicates who has played such a role in his life. It has been Jan Karski, a Polish national hero, who informed the world about the Holocaust and who, as a delegate of the Polish Government in London, appealed for help for the Polish Jews. Some of Dershowitz’s advices can sometimes be surprising to the reader, but undoubtedly they form basis for further reflection.
