Opis:: This article aims to provide the seafarer with a tool to calculate the deviation for a righted ship in any geographical position using only the information available on board. In this way the accidental errors in the deviation card are reduced and the latitude error is made negligible. Moreover, an experimental application of this method is carried out on board a tanker to compare the latitude error in different positions at sea.

Opis:: The solubility of Butylated hydroxyl toluene in aqueous and alcohol solutions were determined at different temperatures (293.15 to 313.15) K. Using Van’t Hoff and Gibb’s equations, some thermodynamic functions such as Gibbs energy, enthalpy and entropy of dissolution, and of mixing of Butylated hydroxyl toluene in aqueous and alcohol solutions, were evaluated from solubility data. The solubility was greater in butanol and minimum in water. The enthalpies, entropy and Gibb’s energy of dissolution were positive for all solvents.

Opis:: The presented article uses the method of non-weighted average absolute deviation for expressing income inequality in 11 selected Central and Eastern European Countries. Specifically, the analysis of income inequality is done for Poland, the Czech Republic, the Slovak Republic, Austria, Slovenia, Hungary, Romania, Bulgaria, Latvia, Lithuania and Estonia. Based on the determination of income inequality in the article an analysis is made concerning the development of income inequality, including the subsequent inter-regional comparison in the context of the degree of income inequality in a given human society and economy. The text of this article is organized in 4 parts, after Introduction follows the analytic chapter where, primarily, the method of non-weighted average absolute deviation is explained. The third part contains the empirical analysis of income inequality, and the Conclusion highlights some major conclusions of detailed analysis made in Chapter 3. The analysis of income distribution of 11 European households between years 2005-2013 and its order is made in deciles basing on empirical data from the Statistics on Living Conditions and Welfare published by Eurostat.

Opis:: The aim of the article is to identify the main tendencies in the dynamics of interregional disparities in the level of socio-economic development in Russia during periods of economic growth and crisis. These trends have been identified on the basis of an analysis of the regional coefficient of asymmetry of key per-capita indicators (GDP, investment in fixed capital etc.) as well as indicators of spatial concentration in Russia and deviations from the average (for GDP, per capita GDP and investments) at the federal district and regional levels. The main factors driving the dynamics of these disparities were the economic crisis, government anti-crisis measures and measures of social support. Comparison of the level of interregional disproportions in Russia and abroad indicated that the differences between levels of socio-economic development at the federal level are comparable with differences in EU countries, but at the level of regions - with countries of the world.
