    Opis:
    In the paper the authors present the algorithm of the evaluation of energetic potential of green biomass and animal wastes for specific geographical area. Main assumptions of the algorithm have been presented as well as interrelations between different kinds of potentials. On the basis of statistical agricultural data about area of particular tillages, wastelands, forests and the number of hogs the energetic potential of biomass has been computed for the exemplary rural district of Opole province. For the chosen kinds of green biomass and animal waste theoretical and technical potentials of energy has been found on the assumption that energy conversion takes places during process of firing biofuels in order to produce heat. Technical biomass potential has been shown with reference to heat demand of the rural district.
    Przedstawiono algorytm szacowania potencjału energetycznego biomasy pochodzenia roślinnego i zwierzęcego dla określonego obszaru geograficznego. Zaprezentowano zależności pomiędzy różnymi rodzajami potencjałów oraz koncepcję algorytmu szacowania. Na podstawie przyjętych informacji o areale poszczególnych upraw, nieużytków, obszarów leśnych oraz liczbie trzody chlewnej dokonano obliczeń wartości potencjału energetycznego dla jednej z gmin województwa opolskiego. Dla wybranych rodzajów biomasy zielonej i pochodzenia zwierzęcego wyznaczono potencjał teoretyczny i techniczny energii możliwej do uzyskania w wyniku jej odpowiedniego przetworzenia do nośnika energii w postaci ciepła. Wartość potencjału technicznego dla poszczególnych rodzajów biomasy odniesiono do całkowitego zapotrzebowania na ciepło grzewcze analizowanej gminy.

    Badanie możliwości rozwojowych należy do podstawowych kwestii strategicznych, z którymi muszą zmierzyć się kopalnie węgla kamiennego. Jest to szczególnie trudne w obecnych warunkach, zdeterminowanych ich sytuacją kryzysową. W takich warunkach konieczne jest podjęcie trudnych decyzji i poważnych strategicznych wyzwań, które pozwolą na pokonanie kryzysu, odnowę i efektywne ekonomicznie funkcjonowanie w przyszłości tych kopalń, które mają potencjał rozwojowy, a także na wygaszanie kopalń, które tego potencjału nie mają. Ze względu na skutki decyzji, które dotyczą nie tylko kopalń węgla kamiennego, ale także regionu Śląska, ważne znaczenie ma przygotowanie informacji, które będą je wspomagały i doprowadzą do racjonalnych wyborów, co wiąże się z problematyką badania możliwości rozwojowych. W publikacji przedstawiono rozważania w zakresie problematyki badania możliwości rozwojowych kopalń węgla kamiennego w sytuacji kryzysowej. W świetle wyników studium literatury określono model procesu badawczego oraz wskazano problemy badawcze, które dotyczą: - identyfikacji czynników zewnętrznych, które determinują możliwości rozwojowe polskich kopalń węgla kamiennego i opracowania scenariuszy ich zmian w przyszłości, - identyfikacji czynników wewnętrznych polskich kopalń węgla kamiennego, które determinują ich możliwości rozwojowe, - opracowania sposobu dokonania oceny potencjału rozwojowego kopalń węgla kamiennego dla wskazania odpowiednich opcji strategicznych, a także programów działań dla wdrożenia tych opcji, - określenia możliwych opcji strategicznych i odpowiadających im wariantów programów działań, dostosowanych do specyfiki kopalń węgla kamiennego. Propozycje rozwiązania wskazanych problemów, uzyskane w toku zastosowania określonych metod i narzędzi badawczych, pozwoliły na przedstawienie wytycznych w zakresie badania możliwości rozwojowych kopalń węgla kamiennego.
    The research of development capabilities is a fundamental of strategic issues, which has to be taken into consideration by coal mines. This is particularly difficult in the current environment, which is determined by its crisis situation. In such conditions, it is necessary to take difficult decisions, and serious, strategic challenges into account, which allow for the crisis to be overcome, for the renewal and economic effectiveness of the operation of these coal mines, which have potential to grow, and closing the coal mines, which have not potential to grow. Due to the effects of such decisions, which concern not only coal mines but also the Silesian region, it is essential to prepare information to support them and promote rational choices. This is related to the issue of research for development possibilities. The article presents considerations related to the subject of research for development possibilities of coal mines in a crisis situation. Taking the results of literature study into account, the model of research process was developed, and identified the research issues concerning the following: - the identification of external factors which determine the possibility of development of the Polish mines and drawing a schedule of their changes in the future, - the identification of internal factors which determine the possibility of development of the Polish mines, - developing a way for the assessment of the development potential of the coal mines, to show appropriate strategic options and action programmes for these options, - determining possible strategic options and corresponding schedules, appropriate for the specific nature of the mines. The proposition of their solutions, which were obtained in the process of using the specific methods and research tools, allowed the guidelines in terms of research of development capabilities of coal mines to be presented.

    The paper presents a commercial potential method to be used for the assessment of technical innovations. The method is an element of the evaluation system in the "Innovative Systems of Technical Support for Sustainable Development of Economy" Strategic Research Programme. The tool developed aims at the support of the management processes in the area of technical innovations. The commercial potential method can be used at all stages of the innovation development process, i.e. the concept stage, the development stage, and the final product stage, but also some years after the development of the solution. The use of the commercial potential method can contribute to the improved efficiency and effectiveness of the innovation implementation process.
    W artykule zaprezentowano metodę oceny potencjału komercyjnego innowacyjnych rozwiązań technicznych, stanowiącą element systemu ewaluacji Programu Strategicznego pn. "Innowacyjne systemy wspomagania technicznego zrównoważonego rozwoju gospodarki". Opracowane narzędzie wspomaga procesy zarządzania w odniesieniu do innowacji technicznych. Metoda oceny potencjału komercyjnego może być wykorzystana na wszystkich etapach powstawania innowacji, tj. na etapie koncepcji, w trakcie opracowania rozwiązania, w momencie uzyskania gotowego produktu, ale również w kilkuletnim okresie po zakończeniu prac nad rozwiązaniem. Wykorzystanie metody oceny potencjału komercyjnego może przyczynić się do wzrostu innowacyjności i konkurencyjności gospodarki poprzez zwiększenie efektywności i skuteczności wdrożenia rozwiązań innowacyjnych do gospodarki.

    Opis:
    W  artykule zaprezentowano zachowania Koerańczyków (pracowników fabryki KIA w Żylinie) związane z ich pobytem, pracą i wykorzystaniem czasu wolnego w turystyce. Celem badawczym było określenie różnic w zachowaniach i postawach turystycznych pomiędzy grupą Koreańczyków pracujących i mieszkających w Żylinie a słowackimi pracownikami KIA będacymi mieszkańcami miasta. Wskazano na możliwości udziału koreańskich mieszkańców Żyliny jako konsumentów produktów turystycznych w destynacji turystycznej miasta i regionu Żyliny. Badania wykazały różne szanse, zagrożenia, a także pozytywne przesłanki udziału koreańskich mieszkańców jako konsumentów w ruchu turystycznym regionu.
    The studies concern the behaviour of the newcomers, i.e. employees of the KIA factory in Žilina, which is associated with their stay, work and the ways of spending leisure time in the sphere of tourism. Specifically, it refers to about 400 Korean workers. The aim of the studies covers the differences in the ways of behaving and different attitudes in the range of tourist choices between the Koreans working and living in Žilina and the Slovakian KIA workers, the residents of this particular city. The paper indicates the opportunities to use the tourist destinations of the city and the region of Žilina by the Korean residents of Žilina as the consumers of the tourist products.

    Rapidly increasing numbers of ships and ship sizes pose an ever-growing challenge to the maritime industry. Although statistics indicate improved levels of safety in the industry which carries 90% of the world’s trade, the risk of navigational accidents, among other issues, remains a prime concern and priority (EMSA, 2010; 2014). In order to address these concerns, the authors turned to another high-risk industry for inspiration. Specifically, they turned to the aviation industry, which has often been used as a source of comparisons and ideas by researchers in the maritime domain. Keeping up with the trend, the authors of this paper turn to a tried-and-tested system used widely in modern aviation: the Airborne Collision Avoidance System (ACAS). The prime idea behind ACAS is to construct two virtual 3D zones around an aircraft. These zones are dynamic, and depend on the manoeuvring characteristics of a given aircraft. If the system detects an “intruder” (another aircraft) in either of the two well-defined virtual zones, it provides warnings and/or instructions to pilots of both aircraft to take certain precautionary or emergency measures. In the current paper, the authors explore whether or not such a system is feasible for use in the maritime domain and, if so, how. The paper provides a detailed analysis of the potential benefits and drawbacks of using an ACAS-like system onboard vessels. It also discusses possible means of implementation and integration with current equipment, and explores how the introduction of e-navigation may impact the proposed solution.

    One of the key issues in the management of R&D projects is tracking the process of their implementation, and the PR of the development of created solutions. The information about the current progress of the project and the identification of risks in different spheres of its implementation provides the possibility to take appropriate corrective actions on a continuing basis. This article presents a systemic approach and a practical application of a complex assessment of the maturity level of implementation and commercial potential in tracking and predicting the development of innovative technological solutions developed through R&D projects. It presents prediction capabilities for the development of technological solutions based on the analysis of evaluations using the example of tracking research projects conducted within the framework of the Strategic Programme, „Innovative Systems of Technical Support for Sustainable Development”. The article proposes directions for further research, which, in the process of predicting the development of solutions, factors in various aspects occurring at the design stage, preparation for the implementation, and commercialization.

    The article examines Ukrainian and foreign sources on postgraduate pedagogical education as a component of lifelong learning and a means of continuous professional development of secondary school teachers, on the nature and structure of the concept of “educational potential of postgraduate education for the development of assessment competence of primary school teachers”; the educational potential of the Ukrainian system of postgraduate education for the development of assessment competence of primary school teachers, its resources, capabilities, functions, characteristics are considered. It was found out that the system of advanced training is social, andragogical; it functions through the exchange of information (interactive interpersonal interaction), the main part of which are teachers. It is determined that the educational potential of the system of postgraduate pedagogical education consists of pedagogical (adequate choice and use of methods, organizational forms of productive pedagogical interaction), organizational and managerial (innovation orientation, provided that the search and opportunities for training subjects to “produce” goals, forms and norms of activity that affect the content and results of joint activities), information (which serves for the effective development of assessment competence of primary school teachers), content (provides for the development of educational and methodological complexes of educational modules) and material and technical (external parameters of the educational process: the availability of appropriate material and technical base (amount of training space per student of advanced training courses; equipping classrooms with furniture, technical equipment, teaching aids; classrooms for seminars; computer classes and their availability to students, creating conditions for independent work in the library, reading room, etc.) resources; contains the focus of the educational process on identifying and correcting the professional difficulties of primary school teachers; meeting their comprehensive professional needs; interaction of teachers and educators based on cooperation; freedom of choice of organizational forms, methods, means, content of education; possibilities of individual-personal educational trajectory; personal involvement of primary school teachers in various forms of activity provided by teaching models. The functions of the system of postgraduate pedagogical education in the context of the development of assessment competence of primary school teachers are considered: educational (professional growth); disciplinary (development of teachers’ moral qualities and humane attitude to younger students during assessment activities); organizational (combining various resources for the organization of advanced training courses); normative-regulatory (organization of advanced training courses in accordance with the regulatory framework); communicative (professional interaction based on information resources, distribution of information to share pedagogical experience in assessment, development of assessment competence, development of diagnostic methods for measuring the level of development of assessment competence of primary school teachers); logistical (logistical support of the training process).
    У статті досліджено українські та зарубіжні джерела, присвячені післядипломній педагогічній освіті як складовій освіти упродовж життя та засобу неперервного професійного розвитку вчителів закладів загальної середньої освіти, щодо сутності й структури поняття «освітній потенціал системи післядипломної освіти для розвитку оцінювальної компетентності вчителів початкових класів»; досліджено освітній потенціал української системи післядипломної освіти для розвитку оцінювальної компетентності вчителів початкових класів, його ресурси, можливості, функції, характеристики. З’ясовано, що система підвищення кваліфікації – соціальна, андрагогічна; така, що функціонує завдяки обміну інформацією (інтерактивна міжособистісна взаємодія), основну частину якої складають педагоги. Визначено, що освітній потенціал системи післядипломної педагогічної освіти складається з педагогічного (адекватний вибір і використання методів, організаційних форм продуктивної педагогічної взаємодії), організаційно-управлінського (інноваційна спрямованість за умови забезпечення пошуку й надання можливостей суб’єктам підвищення кваліфікації «виробляти» цілі, форми й норми діяльності, що впливають на зміст й результати спільної діяльності), інформаційного (що служить для ефективного розвитку оцінювальної компетентності вчителів початкових класів), змістового (передбачає розробку навчально-методичних комплексів освітніх модулів) та матеріально-технічного (зовнішні параметри освітнього процесу: наявність відповідної матеріально-технічної бази (кількість навчальної площі, яка припадає на одного слухача курсів підвищення кваліфкації; оснащення навчальних аудиторій меблями, технічними засобами, дидактичним обладнанням; аудиторії для семінарських занять; комп’ютерні класи та їхня доступність слухачам; створення умов для самостійної роботи в бібліотеці, читальній залі тощо) ресурсів; містить спрямованість освітнього процесу на виявлення та коригування професійних утруднень вчителів початкових класів; задоволення їхніх всебічних професійних потреб; взаємодію викладачів та вчителів, засновану на співпраці; свободу вибору організаційних форм, методів, засобів, змісту навчання; можливості індивідуально-особистісної освітньої траєкторії; особистісне включення вчителів початкових класів у різні форми діяльності, забезпечені моделями навчання. Розглянуто функції системи післядипломної педагогічної освіти в контексті розвитку оцінювальної компетентності вчителів початкових класів: навчальна (професійне зростання); виховна (розвиток у вчителів моральних якостей і гуманного ставлення до молодших школярів під час оцінювальної діяльності); організаційна (об’єднання різноманітних ресурсів для організації курсів підвищення кваліфікації); нормативно-регулятивна (організація курсів підвищення кваліфікації відповідно до нормативної бази); комунікативна (професійна взаємодія на основі інформаційного ресурсу, розподіл інформації з метою обміну педагогічним досвідом оцінювальної діяльності, розвитку оцінювальної компетентності, розроблення діагностичних методик для вимірювання рівня розвитку оцінювальної компетентності вчителів початкових класів); матеріально-технічна (матеріально-технічне забезпечення процесу підвищення кваліфікації).

    Opis:
    W artykule przedstawiono założenia teoretyczne i metodologię badań projektu finansowanego przez Narodowe Centrum Nauki (2012/07/B/ST10/04344) zatytułowanego “Świadczenia ekosystemowe w krajobrazie młodoglacjalnym – ocena zasobów, zagrożeń i wykorzystania”. Celem projektu jest zastosowanie koncepcji usług ekosystemowych do oceny wartości potencjałowej środowiska przyrodniczego i kulturowego w dostarczaniu ES w trzech gminach (Nowinka, Giby, Suwałki), położonych na obszarze młodoglacjalnym.
    Nonetheless, to date, there has been rather a small number of scientific papers which verified in a comprehensive manner the methodological assumptions of the ES concept as a conglomerate of material and non-material benefits derived by human from natural environment and cultural heritage. Such scientific approach to ES concept has been adopted and implemented in the project “Ecosystem services in young glacial landscape – assessment of resources, threats and use” supported by National Science Centre (2012/07/ B/ST10/04344), carried out in Institute of Geography and Spatial Organization, Polish Academy of Sciences since 2012. This article presents the project objectives, assumptions and research methodology.

    Opis:
    The study on Panemunė Castle examined this heritage object in an entirety of its values and their impact on the environment, with a possibility of their synergism for the benefit of the place. It found the contemporary national heritage protection framework failing to grant equal attention to elements constituting the multifaceted worth of the castle as a property, inclusive of the social, cultural, artistic values, the engagement of local communities, the important role of cultural tourism and the image of the place, and economic efficiency. The analysis of the different facets one by one and collectively has brought to the conclusion that the social, cultural, artistic and economic values of Panemunė Castle as a heritage property influence their environment, but are not experienced as a powerful driving force of the contemporary heritage protection. The process remains fragmented, sporadic and underdeveloped, with its elements failing to achieve synergism for the place.
