Jedną z takich form jest konkurs artyleryjski o tytuł "Mistrza Ognia Artyleryjskiego". Autor artykułu przedstawia historię oraz zasady jego rozgrywania w przeszłości. Autor wyraza nadzieję, że przyczyni się do popularyzacji wiedzy artyleryjskiej.
The author’s intention is to present the undertakings which allow officer-cadets to develop their passion for field artillery. With field artillery firing tasks becoming systematically more complicated and improvement of firing competence being a logical necessity, it is essential to seek new methods of teaching and developing practical skills. One such method is an artillery competition for the title of "Master of Field Artillery Fire". The author presents the history and rules of this event. It is hoped that the competition will help to popularize the knowledge about field artillery.

Opis:: Production and assessment of artillery firing tables (FT) are the key tasks in solving ballistic problems through both standard and non-standard firing conditions. According to the literature, two different standard firing table formats were developed by the former-Soviet and the United States armies. This study proposes the main difference between these FT formats, as the standard meteorological conditions. An accuracy assessment has been proposed to justify different sources of errors through modeling and production of such tables, including applied meteorological message, aiming angles round-off, linear superposition principle, and Earth approximation. A~case study has been proposed for the 155M107 projectile to demonstrate the impact of the Coriolis effect as well as other ballistic and atmospheric non-standard conditions. As a part of the construction of artillery FT, a fitting process has to be made between available firing data and simulations. Therefore, a parametric study is implemented to study the number of test elevations per charge needed through the fitting process and its corresponding production error. Hence, based on the number of test elevations available, the genetic algorithm (GA) has been utilized to obtain the test elevations order needed with minimum FT production error. The results show a good agreement with the data stated in the literature.

Opis:: Podjęta przez autora problematyka wpływu poligonu artyleryjskiego na życie Torunia jest pionierskim tematem badawczym. Większość naukowców zajmowało się dziejami poligonu bądź jego fauną i florą. Należy jednak pamiętać, że cała infrastruktura poligonu jest silnie wspierana i rozwijana przez pewien motor napędowy, jakim jest miasto Toruń. Plac ćwiczeń to nie tylko hektary piaszczystych wydm i wrzosowisk, ale również niezliczone historie pojedynczych osób, które odczuły wpływ poligonu na ich życie. Autor, badając temat, postanowił określić ramy czasowe między 1867 a 1939 r. Wybrany przedział został tak zdefiniowany z tego względu, że dla tych lat znajduje się najwięcej wzmianek o toruńskim poligonie, zamieszczonych w lokalnej prasie. Głównymi źródłami niniejszego artykułu są dwie miejscowe gazety. Pierwszą z nich jest „Gazeta Toruńska”, która była wydawana w latach 1867-1921, drugą zaś „Słowo Pomorskie” z lat 1921-1939.
The author addresses the problem of the influence of the artillery firing range on the life of Toruń, which constitutes a pioneer research work. Most scholars have dealt with the history of the firing range, its fauna and flora. However, it must be remembered that the whole infrastructure of the firing range is strongly supported by the city of Toruń. The military training ground constitutes not only hectares of sandy dunes and moors, but also numerous histories of individual people who experienced the influence of the firing range on their lives. The author decided to establish the time frameworks between 1867 and 1939 since it was in those years that most records about Toruń’s firing range appeared in the local press. The main sources of this work are two dailies: Gazeta Toruńska, published in the years 1867-1921, and Słowo Pomorskie of 1921-1939.
Das vom Autor behandelte Thema, der Einfluss des Artillerieübungsplatzes auf das Leben in Thorn, hat in der Forschung Pioniercharakter. Die meisten Wissenschaftler haben sich mit der Geschichte des Truppenübungsplatzes oder mit seiner Flora und Fauna beschäftigt und darüber geschrieben. Es sei jedoch daran erinnert, dass die gesamte Infrastruktur des Truppenübungsplatzes massiv von einem Antriebsmotor gestützt und entwickelt wird, nämlich der Stadt Thorn. Der Übungsplatz, das sind nicht nur hektarweise Sanddünen und Heideland, sondern auch ungezählte Geschichten einzelner Personen, die den Einfluss des Platzes auf ihr Leben an sich selbst erfahren haben. Der Autor hat bei seinen Forschungen zum Thema den zeitlichen Rahmen auf die Jahre zwischen 1867 und 1939 festgelegt. Das geschah deshalb, weil sich in diesen Jahren die meisten Erwähnungen des Thorner Truppenübungsplatzes in der lokalen Presse finden. Die wichtigsten und entscheidenden Quellen der vorliegenden Arbeit sind zwei örtliche Zeitungen. Die erste davon ist die „Gazeta Toruńska“, die in den Jahren 1867-1921 erschien, die zweite ist „Słowo Pomorskie“ aus den Jahren 1921-1939.

The article presents the history of developing the devices for measuring the muzzle velocity of artillery projectiles, their construction and rules of operating. The authors also attempt to describe the development trends of these devices in the context of measuring selected physical phenomena related to firing. Furthermore, some ballistic stations currently used in armed forces are described from the point of view of their accuracy and reliability.

Opis:: Podstawową funkcją zapalnika artyleryjskiego jest skuteczne zainicjowanie zadziałania zasadniczego materiału wybuchowego znajdującego się w skorupie pocisku w ustalonym przez strzelającego miejscu i czasie. Pełni on również kluczową rolę w zapewnieniu bezpieczeństwa amunicji w procesie jej eksploatacji. Prawidłowość działania zapalnika zależy od skutecznego pobudzenia pierwszego ogniwa tzw. łańcucha ogniowego. Element ten generuje impuls pobudzający działanie kolejnych komponentów tego łańcucha. W artykule autorzy skupią się na czynnikach inicjujących prawidłowe zadziałanie pierwszych elementów łańcucha ogniowego w zapalnikach artyleryjskich. Zostaną one omówione na przykładach stosowanych do tej pory zapalników zwracając uwagę na zalety i wady każdego rozwiązania.
Basic function of an artillery fuse is to effectively initiate the activation of the main charge, located in the projectile shell, at a place and time decided by a gunner. The fuse also has a key role for ensuring the safe use of ammunition. Efficient initiation of the first part of so called firing train decides on proper functioning of the fuse. This element generates an impulse stimulating the activation of subsequent components of the train (chain). In the article, the authors will focus on factors initiating the correct activation of first components of the fire train in artillery fuses. These factors, with some pros and cons, will be discussed on examples of fuses which are used up to now.

Opis:: The paper presents the results of theoretical and experimental tests aimed at developing sets of data. These sets are necessary for compiling firing tables and the operating algorithm for the ballistic computer of a fire control system intended for the mortar system currently used by the Polish Armed Forces as well as the mortar system currently under development. Economy, time saving and the development of numerical methods justify the use of computer simulations for the process of developing software for fire control systems. The theoretical results can only be used for this purpose if their level of compliance with experimental results of live fire tests is acceptable.
W pracy przedstawiono wyniki badań teoretycznych i doświadczalnych ukierunkowanych na opracowanie zbiorów danych niezbędnych do zestawienia tabel strzelniczych oraz opracowania algorytmu funkcjonowania przelicznika balistycznego systemu kierowania ogniem przeznaczonego zarówno dla aktualnie występującego na uzbrojeniu Wojska Polskiego, jak i nowo opracowywanego zestawu moździerzowego. Względy ekonomiczne, oszczędność czasu oraz rozwój metod numerycznych uzasadniają wykorzystanie symulacji komputerowych w procesie tworzenia oprogramowania systemów kierowania ogniem. Warunkiem koniecznym, umożliwiającym zastosowanie w tym celu wyników badań teoretycznych, jest uzyskanie akceptowalnego poziomu ich zgodności z wynikami strzelań poligonowych.

Opis:: The paper presents a method of solving a fire mission by rocket artillery subunits involving the determination of settings on the basis of complete data on firing conditions (predicted fire). This is the primary means of determining the settings for effective fire in rocket artillery. The paper describes how to: fill out a sheet of calculated corrections, draw up a chart of cumulative corrections, solve a geometric task using a calculator, use the chart of cumulative corrections to determine range and directional corrections and prepare a firing command. The article provides commentary and identifies the most common errors made at each stage of solving the mission.
W artykule przedstawiono sposób rozwiązania zadania ogniowego przez pododdziały artylerii rakietowej polegającego na określeniu nastaw na podstawie pełnych danych o warunkach strzelania. Jest to podstawowy sposób określania nastaw do ognia skutecznego w artylerii rakietowej. Artykuł zawiera opis sposobu: wypełnienia arkusza poprawek obliczonych, sporządzenia wykresu poprawek sumarycznych, rozwiązania zadania geometrycznego z wykorzystaniem kalkulatora, wykorzystania wykresu poprawek sumarycznych do określenia poprawek donośności i kierunku oraz opracowania komendy ogniowej. W artykule zawarto komentarz oraz wskazano najczęściej popełniane błędy na każdym etapie rozwiązania zadania.

Ten błąd jest powielany od szkolenia funkcyjnych, poprzez obowiązujące instrukcje i metodyki, aż do praktycznego stosowania.
The paper deals with a proposal for correction of settings of field artillery sights caused by different altitudes above the sea level of a target C and a firing site SO. The basic principles are described for preparation and use of main firing tables and additional tables, considering the difference of altitudes between the target and the firing site, together with consequences of using the existing methodology of application of the corrective tables. An interpretation of the sight corrective tables which has been used for many decades in the field artillery of the Polish army causes that they are used in a wrong way. This error is repeatedly present in the training of servicemen, in biding instructions and methodologies, and in practical applications, as well.
