The article describes the discovery of a skeletal grave in 2015 in Nezabylice (NW Bohemia, Chomutov district) at a cremation burial ground, which was dated to stage B1 of the early Roman period according to characteristic metal objects. Today, only four dozen similarly dated skeletal graves are registered in Bohemia, which, together with the early date of acquisition, makes them one of the rarest and most difficult to recognize archaeological monuments in this area. In the given situation, every recently researched skeleton grave from the early Roman period brings a wealth of new and important information about this distinctive phenomenon of burial rite among the Elbe-Germanic tribes.

The Elastic Optical Networks (EON) provide a solution to the massive demand for connections and extremely high data traffic with the Routing Modulation and Spectrum Assignment (RMSA) as a challenge. In previous RMSA research, there was a high blocking probability because the route to be passed by the K-SP method with a deep neural network approach used the First Fit policy, and the modulation problem was solved with Modulation Format Identification (MFI) or BPSK using Deep Reinforcement Learning. The issue might be apparent in spectrum assignment because of the influence of Advanced Reservation (AR) and Resource Periodic Arrangement (RPA), which is a decision block on a connection request path with both idle and active data traffic. The study’s limitation begins with determining the modulation of m = 1 and m = 4, followed by the placement of frequencies, namely 13 with a combination of standard block frequencies 41224–24412, so that the simulation results are less than 0.0199, due to the combination of block frequency slices with spectrum allocation rule techniques.

The subject of this article is a discussion of the legal provisions governing the Israeli and international legal systems governing the control of trade in cyber-surveillance tools. A detailed analysis of the current regulations is carried out with a view to classification and pointing out imperfections in the content of the current regulations. The author identifies the transformations in the content of the Wassenaar Arrangement, which resulted in an attempt to regulate this matter more comprehensively in Israeli law in 2016. Using the impact of the international NSO software scandal as an example, the role that an effective export control regime, including international regulation, plays in preventing cyber-surveillance tools from being used in ways that are dangerous to internationally recognized values is demonstrated.

Different buried permanent magnet arrangements in rotors are compared based on electrical machines found in literature regarding high-speed capability. An analytical approach is presented to analytically calculate mechanical stresses in the bilateral and central bridge of V arrangements in order to determine the achievable circumferential velocity of a rotor geometry. The mechanical model is coupled to an analytical model which can determine the flux density in the main air gap under consideration of flux leakage within the rotor. The multi-domain model enables the analytical design of high-speed rotors with buried permanent magnets in V-arrangement.

Opis:
Endurance capability is a key indicator to evaluate the performance of electric vehicles. Improving the energy density of battery packs in a limited space while ensuring the safety of the vehicle is one of the currently used technological solutions. Accordingly, a small space and high energy density battery arrangement scheme is proposed in this paper. The comprehensive performance of two battery packs based on the same volume and different space arrangements is compared. Further, based on the same thermal management system (PCM-fin system), the thermal performance of staggered battery packs with high energy density is numerically simulated with different fin structures, and the optimal fin structure parameters for staggered battery packs at a 3C discharge rate are determined using the entropy weight-TOPSIS method. The result reveals that increasing the contact thickness between the fin and the battery (X) can reduce the maximum temperature, but weaken temperature homogeneity. Moreover, the change of fin width (A) has no significant effect on the heat dissipation performance of the battery pack. Entropy weight-TOPSIS method objectively assigns weights to both maximum temperature (Tmax) and temperature difference (DT) and determines the optimal solution for the cooling system fin parameters. It is found that when X = 0:67 mm, A = 0:6 mm, the staggered battery pack holds the best comprehensive performance.

W artykule przedstawiono wyniki studiów nad Tułowicami, najmłodszym miastem województwa opolskiego (status miasta od 2018). Założone cele pracy to przedstawienie profilu funkcjonalno-przestrzennego nowego miasta Opolszczyzny na tle jego położenia, powiązań i historii oraz nakreślenie mocnych i słabych stron miasta, szans i zagrożeń jego rozwoju w ramach przyjętego zakresu badań. W badaniach zastosowano metody: logicznej argumentacji, historyczno-interpretacyjną, pojedynczego studium przypadku oraz elementy analizy SWOT. Z przeprowadzonych badań wynika, że Tułowice są miastem o znaczącym potencjale, wyrazistej tożsamości i dobrych perspektywach rozwoju.
The article presents the results of studies on Tułowice, the youngest town of the Opolskie Voivodeship (city status from 2018). The assumed aims of the work are to present the functional and spatial profile of the new town of the Opole region against the background of its location, connections and history, as well as outlining the strengths and weaknesses of the town, opportunities and threats to its development within the adopted scope of research. The following methods were used in the research: logical argumentation, historical-interpretative, a single case study and SWOT analysis elements. The research shows that Tułowice is a town with significant potential, distinct identity and good development prospects.

Housing tenure decisions depend on individual preferences and the surrounding economic conditions, and change along economic changes and the development of the housing market. Poland is a post-socialist economy that has observed significant improvements in the housing market. The emergence of housing developers that increase the housing stock rather fast, a housing finance system and the still slow emergence of a private rental market allowed many people to make free tenure choices and to become independent. In this part of the paper we present the literature review and the historical background of the housing market in Poland.
Decyzje o wyborze mieszkania zależą od indywidualnych preferencji i warunków ekonomicznych, a zmieniają się wraz ze zmianami gospodarczymi i rozwojem rynku mieszkaniowego. Polska jest gospodarką postsocjalistyczną, w której obserwuje się znaczną poprawę sytuacji na rynku mieszkaniowym. Pojawienie się deweloperów mieszkaniowych, którzy dość szybko zwiększają zasoby mieszkaniowe, system finansowania budownictwa mieszkaniowego oraz wciąż powolne powstawanie rynku prywatnego wynajmu pozwoliły wielu ludziom na swobodny wybór struktury własności i usamodzielnienie się. W tej części artykułu przedstawiamy przegląd literatury oraz rys historyczny rynku mieszkaniowego w Polsce.

In restructuring proceedings, supervision over the debtor’s assets is exercised by a judicial supervisor, who performs duties of significant importance not only for the arrangement proceedings. The effects of the judicial supervisor’s actions have an impact not only on the manner and timing of satisfying the debtor’s creditors, but in certain situations may influence the possibility of even partial satisfaction of the creditors. Therefore, an important issue is to determine the powers and duties of the judicial supervisor and thus his character and legal position in the arrangement procedure. The subject of this article is the presentation of the above issues and an attempt to determine the role that has been assigned to it by the legislator in the arrangement procedure.
W postępowaniu restrukturyzacyjnym nadzór nad majątkiem dłużnika sprawuje nadzorca sądowy, który wykonuje obowiązki o istotnej doniosłości nie tylko dla postępowania układowego. Efekty jego działań mają wpływ na tryb i terminy zaspokojenia wierzycieli dłużnika, ale w określonych sytuacjach mogą w ogóle wpływać na możliwość choćby częściowego ich zaspokojenia. Wobec tego ważną kwestią jest określenie uprawnień i obowiązków nadzorcy sądowego, a tym samym jego charakteru i pozycji prawnej w postępowaniu układowym, a także zakresu jego odpowiedzialności za szkody, jakie może wyrządzić przy pełnieniu swojej funkcji. Przedmiotem niniejszego artykułu jest przedstawienie kluczowych kwestii wiążących się ze stanowiskiem prawnym nadzorcy sądowego oraz próba określenia roli, jaką przyznał mu ustawodawca w postępowaniu układowym.

Projektowanie uniwersalne jest filozofią tworzenia różnych produktów oraz otoczenia tak, aby było ono dostosowane do jak najszerszego grona odbiorców. Celem niniejszego artykułujest porównanie interfejsów z uwzględnieniem zasad projektowania uniwersalnego oraz interfejsów aplikacji, które pomijają takie zasady. Po zapoznaniu się z przeglądem literatury postawione zostały następujące hipotezy badawcze: „Większy kontrast interfejsu ma wpływ na widoczność oraz szybkość wyszukiwania poszczególnych elementów interfejsu graficznego” oraz „Rozmieszczenie elementów interfejsu ma zasadniczy wpływ na efektywność poruszania się po serwisie”.Badania przeprowadzone zostały na dwóch serwisach internetowych. Serwisemniespełniającymzasad projektowania uniwersalnego była witryna sklepu Empik. Zaś aplikacja spełniająca zasady projektowania uniwersalnego została stworzona na potrzeby badań. W pracy zastosowano trzy metody pomiaru jakości interfejsów: narzędzie WAVE, badania okulograficzne oraz badania subiektywnej oceny za pomocą ankiety LUT. Badania okulograficzne wykazały, że uczestnicy badania potrzebowali średnio 2 razy mniej czasu na zlokalizowanie elementów na stronie o wysokim kontraście oraz 4 razy mniej czasu na znalezienie wszystkich komponentów umieszczonych w miejscach zgodnych z ogólnie przyjętymi normami projektowania
Universal design is a philosophy of creating various products and the environment to adapt to the most comprehensive possible group of recipients. This article aims to compare interfaces with the principles of universal design and application interfaces that ignore such principles. After the literature review, the following research hypotheses were posed: “Higher interface contrast affects the visibility and speed of searching for individual elements of user interface” and “The arrangement of interface elements has a significant impact on navigating the website”. The research was conducted on two websites. The Empik storefront was a webservice that did not comply with universal design principles. The application that follow the regulations of universal design was created for the purpose of research. Three methods of measuring the quality of interfaces were used in the study: WAVE tool, eye-tracking tests, and subjective assessment using the LUT questionnaire (Lublin University of Technology). Eye tracking study showed that participants needed an average of 2 times less time to locate elements on a high-contrast interface and 4 times less time to locate all components placed compliant with generally accepted design standards.

Artykuł porusza problematykę dostosowania przestrzeni terapeutycznej do potrzeb i możliwości dzieci z umiarkowaną i znaczną niepełnosprawnością intelektualną. W oparciu o bioekologiczną teorię systemów Bronfenbrennera omówiona została rola przestrzeniarchitektonicznej, lokalnej, domowej, w jakiej funkcjonuje dziecko w jego stymulacji rozwojowej. Wyjaśniono terminy aranżacja przestrzeni i projektowanie uniwersalne wraz z zasadami towarzyszącymi kreowaniu bezpiecznej i dostępnej dla osób z niepełnosprawnością przestrzeni. Szczególne miejsce poświęcono budowaniu przyjaznego środowiska lokalnego z uwzględnieniem architektury krajobrazu, budynku, wnętrza, ale też społecznego wymiaru funkcjonowania dziecka.
This article addresses the issue of adapting therapeutic space to the needs and abilities of children with moderate and severe intellectual disabilities. Based on Bronfenbrenner's bio-ecological systems theory, the role of the architectural, home and local space in which the child functions in his/her developmental stimulation is discussed. The term space arrangement and universal design are explained together with the principles accompanying the creation of safe and accessible space for people with disabilities. Special attention is paid to building a friendly local environment taking into account the architecture of the surrounding, building, interior, but also the social dimension of the child's functioning.

Historyczny układ przestrzenny osady Nowosolna (obecnie osiedla na terenie Łodzi) jest unikatowym w skali europejskiej przykładem rozparcelowania działek i układu drogowego, który krzyżuje w jednym, centralnym punkcie osiem dróg. Ten wyjątkowy gwieździsty plan ewoluował na przestrzeni lat. Autorzy artykułu mają na celu zaproponowanie syntetycznego podsumowania aktualnego stanu wiedzy w zakresie ewolucji i przemian zachodzących w Nowosolnej, a także kontekstu jej współczesnych problemów. W tym celu dokonano przeglądu istniejącej literatury i źródeł archiwalnych, jak również współczesnej miejskiej polityki planistycznej. Rezultatem prac autorów jest stworzenie przejrzystego obrazu osady Nowosolna z uwidocznieniem jej walorów historycznych i współczesnych problemów.
The historical urban plan of Nowosolna settlement (currently a part of Łódź city) is an unique example on a European scale of the plots arrangement and road system, which cross eight roads in one, central point. This unique plan has evolved over the years. The authors of the article are intended to propose a synthetic summary of the current state of knowledge in the field of evolution and changes taking place in Nowosolna, as well as in the context of its contemporary problems. For this purpose, the existing literature and archival sources as well as contemporary urban planning policy were reviewed. The aim of the authors work is to create a readable image of the Nowosolna settlement with its historical values and contemporary problems highlighted.

We analyse tenure choice determinants of Poles for the years 2006, 2010, 2014 and 2018 on EU-SILC data, distinguishing between co-residence with the parents, renting at market rates and owning a house. The average marginal effects obtained from multinomial logistic regressions allows us to conclude that ownership is strongly connected to the family status, but this relationship weakens over time. Unmarried people without children but with better incomes become increasingly more likely to be homeowners. Thus, ownership is not anymore a main domain of conventional families. Moreover, renting becomes an option to become independent for those who cannot afford to buy a house. But it is rather a temporary solution, because renting is more costly than buying a house with a mortgage. We also find evidence of the gender gap in homeownership, as women are more likely to be owners, and less likely to co-reside with their parents than men. Along the evolution of the housing finance system, growing wages make ownership more likely. We observe that the choices are more free in densely populated regions, where the rental market develops. In this part of the paper explain the data that we use, present the empirical results and discuss them.
Zostały przeanalizowane determinanty wyboru struktury własności przez Polaków w latach 2006, 2010, 2014 i 2018 na podstawie danych EU-SILC, przy rozróżnieniu na współzamieszkiwanie z rodzicami, wynajem po stawkach rynkowych i posiadanie domu na własność. Średnie efekty krańcowe, uzyskane na podstawie wielomianowych regresji logistycznych, pozwalają stwierdzić, że posiadanie domu jest silnie związane ze statusem rodzinnym, ale związek ten z czasem słabnie. Osoby stanu wolnego, nieposiadające dzieci, ale o lepszych dochodach, stają się coraz bardziej skłonne do posiadania domu. Tym samym własność przestaje być główną domeną rodzin konwencjonalnych. Co więcej, wynajem staje się opcją usamodzielnienia się dla tych, których nie stać na kupno domu. Jest to jednak raczej rozwiązanie tymczasowe, ponieważ wynajem jest droższy niż zakup domu z kredytem hipotecznym. Autorzy znajdują również dowody na istnienie różnic w zakresie własności domów pod względem płci posiadaczy – kobiety częściej niż mężczyźni są właścicielkami, a rzadziej współmieszkańczyniami swoich rodziców. Wraz z ewolucją systemu finansowania budownictwa mieszkaniowego rosnące płace zwiększają prawdopodobieństwo posiadania domu. Zaobserwowano, że w regionach gęsto zaludnionych, gdzie rozwija się rynek najmu, wybory są bardziej swobodne. Objaśniono wykorzystane dane, zaprezentowano wyniki empiryczne i poddano je dyskusji.

Celem artykułu jest sprawdzenie, jaką funkcję pełnią rynki średnich miast w województwie łódzkim oraz w jakim stopniu udaje się pogodzić kwestie środowiskowe, potrzeby mieszkańców i ochronę wartości kulturowych. W tym celu przeanalizowano współczesne zagospodarowanie 14 placów miejskich przyporządkowanych do kategorii: zdominowanych przez transport, z przewagą zieleni i z przewagą powierzchni utwardzonych. Otrzymane wyniki wskazują na pilną potrzebę większego uwzględnienia zieleni oraz potrzeb mieszkańców w projektach rynków.
This paper aims to examine the function of town squares in medium-sized towns in Łódź Voivodship and how they manage to reconcile environmental issues, the needs of the inhabitants, and the protection of cultural values. To this end, an analysis was made of the contemporary arrangement of 14 town squares categorised as transport-dominated, predominantly green and predominantly paved. The results indicate an urgent need to consider greenery and residents' needs in squares design.

The widely adopted title of “Ecstasy of St Francis”, a painting at the Diocesan Museum in Siedlce, was introduced in literature in 1966 based on the typology developed by José Gudiol. The designa- tion continues to be used until today. However, the significance and the purport of the title has not been confronted with the representation, especially given the current knowledge about its details. No attention has been paid so far to the nature of the stigmata, nor have any conclusions been drawn from the arrangement of the fingers or the depiction of bone remains, their pattern and placement. An analysis of those motifs changes the previous interpretation of what the work seeks to convey. The paper also cites arguments in favour of amending the current dating, from 1578-80 to the early seventeenth century.

This essay addresses the concept of compromise. When compromise takes place between two or more parties, reciprocity must be present; that is, the concessions are mutual. Genuine compromise is based on mutual respect and on genuine concessions between the parties. First, the concept of compromise is explained. Next, a relevant distinction is made between principled and tactical compromise. A principled compromise refers to a mutual recognition by each side of the other’s rights, which leads them to make concessions to enable them to meet on a middle ground. It is genuinely made in good faith and both sides reconcile themselves to the results. To illustrate I consider the need for compromise regarding praying area for women at the Western (Wailing) Wall, considered the holiest site in Judaism. The article proceeds by considering the notion of tactical compromise that reflects temporary arrangement reached as a result of constraints related to time. Here, in fact, agents do not give up any of their aims. They do not act in good faith and do not intend to meet their counterpart on a middle ground. Instead, they simply realize that the end could not be achieved at a given point of time, and they aim to reach it stage by stage. The essential component of compromise, namely mutuality, is lacking.
W niniejszym artykule omówiono pojęcie kompromisu. Jeśli pomiędzy dwiema lub więcej stronami następuje kompromis, musi być wówczas wzajemność, tzn. ustępstwa powinny być po wszystkich stronach. Kompromis autentyczny opiera się na wzajemnym szacunku i na rzeczywistych ustępstwach między stronami. Najpierw wyjaśniono pojęcie kompromisu, następnie zaś dokonano istotnego rozróżnienia pomiędzy kompromisem pryncypialnym a kompromisem taktycznym. Kompromis pryncypialny oznacza wzajemne uznanie przez każdą ze stron praw drugiej strony, co prowadzi do dokonania ustępstw umożliwiających spotkanie się „w pół drogi”. Dokonuje się go w dobrej wierze, obie strony zgadzają się na jego wynik. Dla zilustrowania problemu rozpatrzono potrzebę kompromisu dotyczącego strefy wyznaczonej dla modlitwy kobiet przy Murze Zachodnim (tzw. Ścianie Płaczu) w Jerozolimie, uznawanym za najświętsze miejsce judaizmu. Następnie omówiono pojęcie kompromisu taktycznego, odzwierciedlającego tymczasowe porozumienie osiągnięte na skutek ograniczeń czasowych. W tym przypadku zainteresowani nie rezygnują ze swoich celów. Nie działają w dobrej wierze i nie zamierzają spotkać się „w pół drogi” z drugą stroną, natomiast po prostu stwierdzają, że w danym momencie cel nie może zostać osiągnięty, więc zamierzają dążyć do niego etapami. Brakuje istotnego elementu kompromisu, czyli wzajemności.
