    The aim of the article is to present the characteristics of modern generations (Builders, Baby Boomers, Generation X, Millennials – Generations Y, Z and Alpha) and their divergent experience of the COVID-19 pandemic. The methodology involved a review and critical analysis of Polish and English literature of the subject and available reports. The analyses indicate that each generation, to varying degrees, has faced the problem of coping with losses in behavioral, biological, psychosocial, and material terms.

    Opis:
    Recent years have been marked with variations in the hierarchy and acceptance of post-materialist values in the regional environment of the Czech Republic. In particular, difficult areas in the Moravian-Silesian region still exist. The loss of primary public pressure on environmental protection or companies’ compliance with the requirements of corporate social responsibility was demonstrated somehow. However, philanthropy and an interest in possible tax allowances for donations to charities suggest an increasing trend.

    Cel. Celem prezentowanego opracowania jest analiza systemowego funkcjonowania rodziny opiekującej się niesamodzielnym seniorem, ze szczególnym wskazaniem potencjalnych zagrożeń mogących przyczynić się do pojawiania się kryzysu w rodzinie. Metody. W pracy autorzy dokonali przeglądu i analizy literatury przedmiotu, a także danych zastanych dotyczących systemowych form i zasobów wsparcia rodziny opiekującej się niesamodzielnym seniorem. Wyniki i wnioski. Przeprowadzona analiza pozwoliła wskazać główne trudności adaptacyjne rodziny w sytuacji opieki nad niesamodzielnym seniorem. Zwrócono także uwagę na zindywidualizowane uwarunkowania rodzinne, które mają znaczenie dla pojawiania się kryzysu w rodzinie i umiejętności radzenia sobie z nim. Wyróżniono wśród nich między innymi: zasoby opiekuńcze rodziny, gotowość do redefinicji ról rodzinnych oraz reorganizacji życia rodzinnego. Ze względu na postępujący proces starzenia się populacji coraz więcej rodzin będzie stawało przed wyzwaniem udzielenia wsparcia niesamodzielnemu starszemu członkowi rodziny. Wsparcie ze strony publicznej nie zawsze jest dostępne lub wystarczające dla potrzeb osoby zależnej i jej opiekunów rodzinnych, co może prowadzić do wzrostu napięć i konfliktów w rodzinie. Szczególnie w sytuacji gdy okres opieki liczony jest w miesiącach i latach. Autorzy zwrócili uwagę na potrzebę rozwoju kwestii wychowania do starości i edukacji o starości, z jednoczesnym wdrażaniem rozwiązań wspierających systemowo nie tylko niesamodzielnych seniorów i ich opiekunów, lecz także całe rodziny, w tym najmłodszych ich członków.
    Aim. The aim of the presented study is to analyze the areas of systemic functioning of a family caring for a dependent senior, with a particular focus on potential risks relevant to the emergence of a family crisis. Methods. In this work, the authors reviewed and analyzed the source literature, as well as existing data on systemic solutions and resources for supporting a family caring for a dependent senior. Results and conclusion. The conducted analysis identified main areas of adaptive difficulties for the family caring for a dependent senior. It also emphasized the individualized family determinants that are relevant to the emergence of crises in the family, and the ability to cope with them. These included family caring resources, readiness to redefine family roles and reorganize family life. Due to the ongoing process of the ageing population, more and more families will face the challenge of supporting a dependent elderly family member. The support from the state is not always available or sufficient to meet the needs of a dependent person and their family caregivers, which can lead to an increased risk of tension and conflicts within the family. Particularly, when the period of care is calculated in months and years. The authors drew attention to the need to continue developing the areas of education for old age and education about old age, while at the same time implementing solutions to provide systemic support not only for dependent seniors and their caregivers, but also for entire family systems, including their youngest members.

    W artykule podjęto próbę przeglądu wiedzy na temat badań prowadzonych od 1990 r. nad pracą socjalną i w pracy socjalnej, a także dla pracy socjalnej. Wykazano w nim, że definiowanie obszarów pracy socjalnej przez politykę społeczną na ogół pokrywało się z polami aktywności badawczej teoretyków i praktyków, poszukujących odpowiedzi na temat uwarunkowań wielu problemów społecznych. Głównym celem artykułu było ukazanie zmian, jakie nastąpiły w postrzeganiu rangi obszarów pracy socjalnej w praktyce oraz w badaniach. Drugim celem było pokazanie stanu wiedzy nad starymi i nowymi obszarami pracy socjalnej, z uwzględnieniem stosowanych podejść metodologicznych oraz typów prowadzonych badań. W ostatniej części artykułu wskazano, jakie obszary mogą stanowić przedmiot praktyki pracy socjalnej ze względu na pojawienie się nowych dolegliwości społecznych, których istnienie ujawniły najnowsze badania.
    The article attempts to review the knowledge about research conducted since 1990 on social work, in social work as well as for social work. It showed that the definition of areas of social work by social policy generally coincided with the fields of research activity of theoreticians and practitioners, seeking answers on the determinants of many social problems. The main aim of the article was to show the changes that have occurred in the perception of the importance of social work in practice and in research. The second goal was to show the state of knowledge on old and new areas of social work, taking into account the methodological approaches and types of research carried out. The last part of the article indicates which areas may be the subject of social work practice due to the emergence of new social issues, the existence of which has been revealed by the latest research.

    The paper analyzes the problem of concentration of agricultural holdings and its impact on the development of rural areas. The analysis of this problem has revealed many problems of social and environmental nature. Sustainable tendency to increase the concentration of farmland does not have a proper positive impact on the development of rural areas. It has been noted that there are no effective mechanisms of influence of public authorities and local governments on agricultural holdings. The situation of increasing the area of agricultural land of farms of Myrhorod district of Poltava oblast, within the vertically-integrated companies has been studied. The mechanism of agricultural holdings’ involvement in territorial cluster to establish the cooperation on the implementation of social, economic, and environmental community projects has been proposed. It has proved the necessity of the consolidation of social responsibilities of agricultural holdings to support rural communities at the legislative level, where the companies use farm land for their work.

    Opis:
    Rural development policy of Agricultural Property Stock (APS) of the State Treasury in Poland is run by the National Support Centre for Agriculture (until 31.08.2017 Agricultural Property Agency). In the article, on the example of the Braniewo municipality, the size and spatial distribution of land transferred from the Agricultural Property Stock (APS) of the State Treasury to the municipality was analysed. One of the most important goals associated with this was activities related to social aspects, often part of the revitalization and renewal of the rural areas. After Poland's accession to the European Union, it was possible to obtain subsidies that allowed the rural population to apply for financing projects, such as: road construction, creating school playgrounds or socio-cultural facilities. Authors also analysed examples of good practices in this area in the municipality of Braniewo, as a recommendation for other municipalities. Attempts have also been made to indicate the role of the National Support Centre for Agriculture in the transformation of the Polish countryside, with particular emphasis on the areas of former State Agricultural Farms.
    Polityka rozwoju obszarów wiejskich wchodzących w skład Zasobu Własności Rolnej Skarbu Państwa (ZWRSP) w Polsce prowadzona jest przez Krajowy Ośrodek Wsparcia Rolnictwa (KOWR, do 31.08.2017 r. Agencja Nieruchomości Rolnych). W artykule, na przykładzie gminy Braniewo, przeanalizowano areał i przestrzenny rozkład gruntów przekazanych z ZWRSP na rzecz gminy. Jednym z ważniejszych celów z tym związanych były działania dotyczące aspektów społecznych, często wpisujące się w rewitalizację i odnowę wsi. Po przystąpieniu Polski do Unii Europejskiej stało się możliwe uzyskanie dotacji na finansowanie projektów, takich jak budowa dróg, tworzenie szkolnych placów zabaw czy obiektów społeczno-kulturowych, na terenach wiejskich. W artykule przeanalizowano również przykłady dobrych praktyk w tym zakresie w gminie Braniewo jako rekomendacji dla innych gmin. Podjęto się także próby wskazania roli KOWR w transformacji polskiej wsi, ze szczególnym uwzględnieniem obszarów byłych PGR-ów.

    Celem niniejszego artykułu jest zaprezentowanie instrumentów finansowych możliwych do zastosowania w procesie rewitalizacji terenów poprzemysłowych w warunkach polskich. Przyjęto szersze znaczenie terminu instrument finansowy, jako narzędzie finansujące dane przedsięwzięcie, dlatego też oprócz zaproponowanych przez autora tradycyjnych instrumentów komercyjnych wskazano również na wykorzystanie takich instrumentów/narzędzi finansowania, jak budżet, fundusze europejskie czy też rezerwy zawiązywane na rewitalizację.
    The aim of this article is to present the possible application of financial instruments in the process of revitalization of post-industrial areas under conditions of Poland. In this article assumes a broader meaning of the term of the financial instrument as an instrument that financing the project, and therefore proposed by the author in addition to traditional commercial instruments also points to the use of such instruments/tools for financing such as budget, EU funds or reserves tied for revitalization.
