Opis:: This research deals with the development of Autonomous Distributed Manufacturing Systems (ADiMS) Concept and an example of its application in the casting industry. ADiMS is a manufacturing system concept developed to increase the flexibility of the system. In ADiMS, each of the manufacturing system elements (holon) had been modelled as an intelligent element with the result that each element had capability to manage Information, communicate each other, and to make decision. The whole manufacturing problems arę solved by each element and coordination among them. In the modelling at the developed application software, UML (Unified Modelling Language) was used, where each element of manufacturing system was modelled as a class as in the Object Oriented Programming (OOP) concept. As a case study, the development of the concept analysis and application software to manage casting industry, that has a piston ring as its main product, was carried out. The application software that had been developed, that still in aproto type stage, has five main functions that are an order management system, Quality Assurance, Warehouse management, Jig & Fixture Storage Area management, and Sand Casting Area management functions. Inside each function, there are several objects that working together with coordination among each others. The application showed that all main functions can make communication through the database server. The developed application that discussed at this research has a client - server technology. The same web-based system with the n-tier technology is still in the development stage now.

Opis:: W artykule przedstawiono prace nad modyfikacją oprogramowania użytkowego bazy JBDG w celu aktualizacji zbiorów bazy danych JBDG danymi „uzupełniającymi”. Programy weryfikujące zbiory JBDG stanowią istotną grupę oprogramowania użytkowego bazy, zapewniając poprawność zawartych w nich danych oraz powiązań pomiędzy zbiorami. Istotnymi informacjami wprowadzanymi do bazy danych są tzw. dane „uzupełniające”. Dotyczą one różnych grup danych, związanych ze sobą tematycznie. Programy weryfikujące mają zapewnić specjalne kontrole oraz właściwe wyszukiwanie i operowanie danymi.
The article presents works on the modification of the JBDG database application software in order to update the JBDG database files with „supplementary” data. JBDG files verification programs constitute an important group of the database application software, ensuring the correctness of the data contained in them and the links between the files. Important information entered into the database are the so-called „supplementary” data. They concern various groups of data related thematically. Verification programs are designed to provide special controls and proper retrieval as well as manipulation of data.

The article presents selected decision-making procedures of the JBDG geological database related to database management, data transfer and connections with the BDW database, enriched with additional software solutions. The modernized procedures take into account the capabilities of the Windows environment, the needs of data preparation and transfer, and are used to perform geological and mining tasks of the exploited deposits, mainly lignite.

Po migracji danych bazy JBDG do nowego systemu MS SQL Server 2017, dokonano adaptacji oprogramowania zarządzającego i użytkowego JBDG w wybranym nowym środowisku MS SQL Serwer 2017.
The article presents works related to the upgrade of the foundation platform of the JBDG (Uniform Geological Database) together with the selection of an adequate MS SQL Server system. An analysis and implementation of current technological solutions was carried out to increase JBDG security and optimize database management. The work was carried out in two stages. After migrating the JBDG database data to the new MS SQL Server 2017 system, the JBDG management and application software was adapted in the selected new MS SQL Server 2017 environment.

Opis:: Celem pracy było wytworzenie aplikacji komputerowej do obliczania geometrii, kinematyki i dynamiki przekładni pasowych. Określono stosowne wymogi funkcjonalne i niefunkcjonalne tworzonego programu oraz przeprowadzono modelowanie obiektowe. Aplikację wykonano w środowisku Visual Studio.NET. System umożliwia projektowanie przekładni pasowych o dwóch i trzech kołach przy współpracy koła trzeciego z wewnętrzną i zewnętrzną stroną pasa. Obsługa programu jest intuicyjna, a w przypadku wątpliwości użytkownik może na bieżąco korzystać z możliwości wyświetlenia okien pomocy. Program ma zabezpieczenie przed wprowadzaniem niewłaściwych danych wejściowych. Dużym ułatwieniem dla użytkownika są schematy zamieszczone na formularzach, ilustrujące obliczane wielkości. Dodatkowe komunikaty w sytuacjach wyjątkowych pozwalają na szybką lokalizację i usunięcie problemu. Budowa modułowa wytworzonego systemu komputerowego umożliwia dalszą jego rozbudowę, np. o inne układy geometryczne kół w przekładni.
The purpose of the work was to create a computer software for calculating geometry, kinematics and dynamics of belt transmissions. Suitable functional and non-functional requirements of the created software were determined and object modelling was carried out. The software was created in Visual Studio.NET environment The system enables designing two and three- pulley belt transmissions with cooperation of the third pulley with an inner and outer side of the belt. Handling the software is intuitive and in case of doubts a user may systematically use the help windows. The programme is protected against introduction of improper input data. Schemes placed on forms, illustrating calculated numbers are a considerable facilitation. Additional messages in exceptional situations allow fast problem localisation and removal. A module structure of the created computer system allows its further development e.g. adding other geometrical systems of pulleys in a transmission.

Opis:: Celem pracy było wytworzenie "przyjaznej" aplikacji, wspomagającej pracę inżyniera w zakresie projektowania połączeń kształtowych. Aplikacja powinna dotyczyć szerokiego spektrum połączeń kształtowych. Zgodnie z zasadami inżynierii oprogramowania sformułowano wymagania funkcjonalne i niefunkcjonalne oraz przeprowadzono modelowanie obiektowe (w notacji UML), budując stosowne diagramy. Aplikację wykonano w środowisku Visual Studio.NET. Zbudowany system umożliwia zaprojektowanie połączenia nitowego, wpustowego, wielowypustowego i kołkowego z kołkami poprzecznymi i wzdłużnymi. Wytworzona aplikacja spełnia postawione zadania - jest programem wspomagającym pracę konstruktora przy projektowaniu połączeń kształtowych, a równocześnie (poprzez wbudowane bazy danych, rysunki poglądowe i system rozbudowanych podpowiedzi) dobrze spełnia funkcję edukacyjną w zakresie tej problematyki. Obsługa programu wymaga od użytkownika posiadania podstawowej wiedzy z zakresu konstrukcji mechanicznych.
The purpose of the work was to create a "friendly" software supporting the work of an engineer within the scope of designing shape connections. The software should concern a wide spectrum of shape connections. According to the principles of software engineering, functional and nonfunctional requirements and object modelling, which were carried out (in UML notation system), were formulated forming appropriate diagrams. The software was created in Visual Studio. NETenvironment. The constructed system enables designing riveted, groove, multi-groove and pin joints with a transverse pin and a lengthwise pin. The created software fulfils the duties - it is a programme supporting the constructor's work at designing shape connections and simultaneously (through building-in a data base, reference drawings and the system of extending tips) fulfils the educational function within this issue. This programme requires form the user to have a basic knowledge on mechanical constructions.

Opis:: Celem artykułu jest analiza teoretycznych koncepcji w dziedzinie aplikacji analitycznych. Po analizie pojęć są omawiane poszczególne kwestie programowe. Aplikacje analityczne są stosowane w logistyce, aby pomóc menedżerom w podejmowaniu właściwych decyzji. W pracy przedstawiono kilka przykładów zastosowania niestandardowych raportów w studium przypadku logistyki. Te przykładowe raporty mogą być generowane w ramach każdego systemu ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) oraz mogą być stosowane do monitorowania kluczowych wskaźników wydajności (KPI). Proponują nowe odkrycia w zakresie zarządzania logistycznego. Chodzi o monitoring sprzedaży 1–2 przedmiotów. Na podstawie uzyskanych informacji przewidywana jest sprzedaż innych produktów. Omawiane są również zagadnienia dotyczące inwestycji w aplikacjach analitycznych.
The purpose of this article is to analyze the theoretical concepts in the field of analytical applications. After analyzing the concepts some software issues are discussed. Analytical applications are used in logistics to help managers to take correct decisions. The paper gives several examples of using custom reports in logistics case studies. These sample reports may be generated within any ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) system and may be used for monitoring key performance indicators (KPIs). A new finding in the logistics management is proposed. The idea is to monitor the sales of 1-2 items. By using the gained information the sales of other products are predicted. Issues concerning investments in analytical applications are discussed.

Opis:: An important technique to optimize a network and improve network robustness is traffic engineering. As traffic demand increases, traffic engineering can reduce service degradation and failure in the network. To allow a network to adapt to changes in the traffic pattern, the research community proposed several traffic engineering techniques for the traditional networking architecture. However, the traditional network architecture is difficult to manage. Software Defined Networking (SDN) is a new networking model, which decouples the control plane and data plane of the networking devices. It promises to simplify network management, introduces network programmability, and provides a global view of network state. To exploit the potential of SDN, new traffic engineering methods are required. This paper surveys the state of the art in traffic engineering techniques with an emphasis on traffic engineering for SDN. It focuses on some of the traffic engineering methods for the traditional network architecture and the lessons that can be learned from them for better traffic engineering methods for SDN-based networks. This paper also explores the research challenges and future directions for SDN traffic engineering solutions.

Opis:: Future Internet technologies necessitate dramatic changes in system design, delivery and usage patterns. For many legacy applications it means that their further development and transition to the Internet becomes problematic or even impossible due to the obsolescence of technologies they use. Replacement of the old system with the new one, built from scratch, is usually economically unacceptable. Therefore, there is a call for methods and tools supporting the automated migration of legacy systems into a new paradigm. This paper proposes a tool supported method for recovery and migration of application logic information from legacy systems. The information extracted from a legacy application is stored in the form of precise requirement-level models enabling automated transformation into a new system structure in a model-driven way. Evaluation of the approach is based on a case study legacy system.

Opis:: Aplikacja o nazwie „Wzorcowanie mostków RLC i wzorców RLC” jest napisana w języku programowania DELPHI. Celem powstania aplikacji było ułatwienie obliczeń oraz generowanie wymaganych dokumentów. Aplikacja została napisana dla konkretnych stanowisk pomiarowych RLC. Algorytmy obliczeń są napisane na podstawie procedur oraz specyfiki stanowisk pomiarowych. Wartości poprawne wzorców, ich niepewności pomiarów, współczynniki temperatury i inne potrzebne dane wynikające ze specyfi ki stanowiska oraz „Świadectwa wzorcowania” są wpisywane w odpowiednie tablice aplikacji oraz ulokowane na serwerze. Aplikacja jest wielostanowiskowa. Wszystkie komputery z zainstalowaną aplikacją łączą się z serwerem, pobierając potrzebne dane oraz zapisując budżety i wyniki obliczeń w odpowiednich katalogach generowanych automatycznie.
"Calibration of LCR meters and LCR standards” is an application software written in Delphi programming language. Its main objective is to facilitate the calculations and to generate all required documents. Regarding the scope of the application, it serves as a useful tool for the specific LCR measurement worksites. The calculation algorithms are adapted to the procedures and characteristics of the measurement worksites. All information, namely the proper values of the standards with their measurement uncertainty, the temperature coefficients, the rest of necessary data and ”Calibration Certifi cates” are introduced to the defined application arrays located on the server. The application can be implemented on several worksites. All computers with the installed application connect to the server, from which necessary data are taken while budgets and calculation results are saved in the automatically– generated folders.

Opis:: The integrated framework for parallel processing of data describing integrated circuits layouts that based on a graphoriented parallel algorithm representation is represented. A parallel program is developed from single computational units (grains) in specialized visual editor. This visual schema is translated into XML form that is interpreted by multi agent runtime system, based on a MPI library. The runtime system realizes a dynamic optimization of parallel computations with the algorithm of virtual associative network. The proposed tools are well suited for rapid development, analysis and execution of parallel algorithms with adaptation to specific cluster architecture.

Opis:: Nowadays, small and medium-sized enterprises (further SME) look for ways to overcome pressing social problems. An open-software-based application can be considered a powerful tool for this task, because of functionalities such as data management, BI operation, and efficient channels of communication. A review of literature shows that there is a shortage of studies concerning connections between usage of Free/Libre or Open Source Software (further FLOSS) and implementing Social Innovation (SI). The aim of this research is to investigate how the use of FLOSS relates to the ability of SMEs to implement SI. The author aims to underline key areas in which FLOSS supported implementation of SI. A set of recommendations for future initiatives is created based on the experience of successful implementation. Based on a review of literature, the author created a set of hypotheses which are validated by the in-depth surveys with three companies in the SME sector. The article structure is as follows: first the author presents literature findings concerning the subject, and next the areas of the model and survey answers. Finally, the author performs a critical review of the model, confirming that open software can stimulate the process of developing social innovation in SMEs, especially in cost reduction, flexibility, and community support.

Opis:: The paper is focused on the processes of software development of enterprise systems. It is related to the new concept of software development paradigm named Context-Driven Meta-Modeling Paradigm (CDMM-P) introduced by the author. The CDMM-P can be applied to define modeling or meta-modeling languages, to construct enterprise systems data layer. The CDMM-P concept is based on application open ontologies in the form composed of notions characteristic for software engineering and it constitutes the first implementation and the first application of open ontologies in software engineering domain. The paper presents the concept of a shift of existing OMG standardization approach. It explains why the CDMM-P graph representation and its API should be the subject of standardization in place of MOFbased close ontology structures.

Opis:: Computer methods in the AEC (Architecture, Engineering, Construction) industry are constantly evolving, mainly towards BIM, and the design process itself within an investment project focuses mainly on documentation. Visualisation or animation are optional elements, mostly done for sales purposes. Photorealism and the quality of created visualisations influence the impressions of the recipient, and the emotions evoked can determine a purchase or investment. As a rule, designers pay great attention to the visualisations they create, but they are not always aware of the solutions available on the market in this respect. In recent decades, rendering engines based on so-called real-time rendering have developed rapidly. The aim of the study was to provide a deep review of existing 3D modelling and visualisation solutions in terms of their popularity, applicability and advantages and limitations. The focus is on applications working with BIM software, which is widely used in the AEC industry. The paper attempts to compare the applications, lists their advantages, disadvantages, benefits and limitations in their use. The conclusions, sometimes subjective, can be useful for the whole community of architects and engineers, related to space design. The results of the review indicate the increasing popularity of 'real-time' solutions, which are displacing 'offline' solutions.
