Opis:
The structural, elastic, anisotropic, and thermodynamic properties of P3m1-BC₇ and Pmm2-BC₇ have been studied in this paper utilizing first-principles calculations. In comparison with the elastic properties of Pmm2-BC₇, P3m1-BC₇ exhibits slightly higher values in bulk modulus and B/G, with similar values in shear modulus, the Young modulus, and the Poisson ratio. The calculated Pugh modulus ratio (B/G) and the Poisson ratio demonstrates P3m1-BC₇ from brittle to ductile at 93.60 and 93.73 GPa, respectively. Calculations of shear anisotropic factor, universal elastic anisotropy index, shear modulus, the Young modulus, and the Poisson ratio for BC₇ then demonstrate that Pmm2-BC₇ exhibits a larger elastic anisotropy than P3m1-BC₇. Quasi-harmonic Debye model is finally applied to investigate the Debye temperature, the coefficient of thermal expansion, heat capacity and Grüneisen parameter of Pmm2-BC₇ and P3m1-BC₇.

Opis:
Magnetic measurements, carried out by means of the Epstein frame, have shown that most typical dynamo steel sheets have certain anisotropic properties. In numerical analysis, anisotropic properties are taken into account with the use of the special function of the grain distribution in the given dynamo sheet. For engineering purposes, it is desirable to assess the influence of these properties on the changes of the magnetic flux density in typical dynamo steel sheets, especially during the rotational magnetization. For this purpose, measurements of the flux density changes and field strength changes in the circular-shaped samples of two selected typical dynamo sheets were performed. These measurements were carried out for several values of the current flowing in windings which generated the axial or rotational magnetic field in the test dynamo sheet. The influence of the magnetic anisotropy on the magnetization process was briefly discussed for both types of the magnetization processes.

Opis:
The paper presents a numerical thermal model of an encapsulated three-phase electrical transformer. The model is based on the multi-physical approach and involves heat transfer analysis coupled with the examination of specific power losses in the coils and the core using electromagnetic field analysis as well as determination of thermal stresses. The thermal boundary conditions (i. e. local heat fluxes) are determined by considering a numerical model of the surrounding air. Additionally, the device is cooled via radiation (from the external walls) and forced convection (a water cooling system). A few different configurations of the cooler and the heat pipes are also analyzed. Moreover, anisotropic material properties were applied for stranded coils and the core. A partial experimental validation of the model has shown that the temperature distribution within the transformer is more realistic and closer to the measurements when compared with the previous analysis limited to heat transfer problems only with uniform internal heat sources and isotropic material properties. The total heat transfer rate indicates that forced convection is the most important heat dissipation mechanism in this model. The significance of the water cooling system has also been established in calculations of crack presence in the model.

Opis:
The effect of anisotropic atmosphere turbulence on propagation characteristics of an electromagnetic twisted Gaussian Schell-model array (EM TGSMA) beam is investigated. An analytical expression for the cross-spectral density function of such beam propagating through anisotropic turbulent atmosphere is derived and used to explore the evolutionary behavior of the spectral intensity, degree of polarization (DOP) and degree of coherence (DOC). An example illustrates the fact that twisted strength and anisotropic turbulent factors have an important impact on the behavior of spectral density, DOC and DOP, in particular. The rotation angle of the array beams can also be controlled by adjusting twisted strength. Furthermore, strong anisotropic turbulence was also found to cause significant mergence of the array beams. Our results might be beneficial for free-space communications of the partially coherent beams endowed with twist.
