    Precyzyjne pomiary kąta płaskiego znajdują zastosowanie m.in. w przemyśle samochodowym, lotniczym i robotyce, a także w kilku zastosowaniach naukowych (np. w pomiarze stałej grawitacji G i kątowej stabilizacji optycznych elementów rentgenowskich). W ramach projektu SIB 58 ANGLE opracowane zostały nowe systemy pomiarowe, urządzenia, nowe metody, zdobyto nową wiedzę i najlepsze praktyki, umożliwiające precyzyjne pomiary kąta płaskiego, zaspokajające rygorystyczne wymagania przemysłu. Zdolności pomiarowe GUM w dziedzinie kąta zostały udoskonalone.
    Precise measurements of plane angle have application to automotive or aircraft industry and robotics as well as to several scientific researches (e.g. the measurement of the gravitational constant G and the angular stabilisation of X-ray optical components). In the frame of the project SIB 58 ANGLE new measuring systems, new equipment, new measuring methods were developed, new knowledge and best practices were obtained. It enables high precision angle measurements which meet rigorous industry requirements. The angle measurement capabilities of GUM were improved.

    Opis:
    This article describes studies that evaluate the accuracy of measuring a ship’s heeling angle with an inclinometer. It does so by comparing inclinometer readings with benchmark measurements made with the optical method. The first part of the article describes the measurement station used for gathering measurement data. This station included an inclinometer and a CCD camera, and was used to process digital images incorporating a horizon line to indicate the ship’s heeling angle. The second part of the article describes the data gathering process carried out on a ship at sea. The final part describes a statistical analysis which compares the angular measurements based on an inclinometer with simultaneous optical benchmark measurements.

    The paper discusses the use of computer image analysis in determining adhesion properties of materials, including the work of adhesion and surface free energy components. Also, it discusses methods and operators for edge detection employed in the determining of geometrical parameters which are then used as the basis for calculations. In addition, the paper presents an example of expanding the scope of investigations through the application of new IT solutions.

    This paper presents a novel sideslip angle estimator based on the pseudo-multi-sensor fusion method. The kinematics-based and dynamics-based sideslip angle estimators are designed for sideslip angle estimation. Also, considering the influence of ill-conditioned matrix and model uncertainty, a novel sideslip angle estimator is proposed based on the wheel speed coupling relationship using a modified recursive least squares algorithm. In order to integrate the advantages of above three sideslip angle estimators, drawing lessons from the multisensory information fusion technology, a novel thinking of sideslip angle estimator design is presented through information fusion of pseudo-multi-sensors. Simulations and experiments were carried out, and effectiveness of the proposed estimation method was verified.

    Opis:
    This paper presents a computer simulation of reflected and scattered laser radiation for calculating the angle of laser shields performed with the Laser Shield Solver computer program. The authors describe a method of calculating the shield angle for laser shields which protect workers against reflected and scattered laser radiation and which are made from different materials. The main assumptions of the program, which calculates and simulates reflected laser radiation from any material and which can be used for designing shield angles, are presented. Calculations are compared with measurements of reflected laser radiation. The results for one type of laser and different materials which interacted with a laser beam showed that the Laser Shield Solver was an appropriate tool for designing laser shields and its simulations of reflected laser radiation distribution have practical use.

    Opis:
    In this paper auhors concerned on the statistical analysis of dependences selected anthropometric characteristics of children foot, having regard to the sex and age differences. Anthropometric data were collected on the basis of measures performed on the subjects. The obtained indexes were put into the statistical tool and the significances between age and sex of subjects were investigated. The results show that age is very strong factor, which decide about the differences. In some cases, the dimorphism phenomenon is emphasized.
    W niniejszej pracy autorzy skoncentrowali się na przeprowadzeniu statystycznej analizy zależności wybranych charakterystyk antropometrycznych stóp, z uwzględnieniem ich zmienności ze względu na wiek oraz płeć. Akwizycja danych do obróbki statystycznej polegała na wykonaniu pomiarów długościowych, wysokościowych, szerokościowych oraz objętościowych stóp metodą bezpośrednią tj. na uczestniku. Zbadano siłę zależności między wartościami poszczególnych wskaźników a wiekiem i płcią uczestników. Przeprowadzone badania wykazały, że wiek jest cechą silnie różnicującą. W przypadku niektórych cech zaznacza się również zjawisko dymorfizmu płciowego.
