Celem teksu jest charakterystyka aktywności umiejscowionych w polu pracy socjalnej. Artykuł przedstawia metarefleksję nad cechami aktywności asystentów rodziny, które wskazują na ich właściwości. Teza wywodu sprowadza się do stwierdzenia, że zrozumienie tych aktywności wymaga odniesienia się do ich cech konstytutywnych. Przyjęty w tekście punkt widzenia dotyczy ujmowania aktywności w sposób dynamiczny, kompleksowy/całościowy, uwzględniający wielorakie związki, jakie tworzą się pomiędzy różnymi jej przestrzeniami. Tekst nie stanowi komunikatu z badań. Prezentowane rozważania są raczej refleksją z oddalenia, zainspirowaną wnioskami z badań narracyjnych przeprowadzonych z asystentami rodziny w latach 2011–2017. Prowadzony namysł został wzbogacony o literaturę korespondującą z przyjętym punktem widzenia na temat analizy aktywności. Prezentowane rozważania mogą być interesujące dla Czytelników usytuowanych w polu pracy socjalnej jako badacze i/lub działacze, którzy poszukują inspiracji do odkrywania, ponownego podjęcia czy też uczynienia obcym tego, co znane, w obrębie aktywności związanych z tym polem praktyki.
The aim of the work is to describe activities within the social work area. The article presents meta-reflection on the features of the activities of child protection workers, which indicate their characteristics. The thesis of the paper is the statement that understanding these activities requires reference to their constitutive features. The point of view adopted in the text concerns the recognition of activity in a dynamic, comprehensive way, taking into account the multiple relationships that are formed between different areas of activity. The text is not a survey report. The presented considerations are rather a reflection from a distance, inspired by the conclusions of narrative research conducted with child protection workers in 2011–2017. The reflection was enriched with literature corresponding to the adopted point of view on the activity analysis. The presented considerations may be of interest to readers located in the field of social work as researchers and/or practitioners who seek inspiration to discover, reinterpret or making strange what is known within the activities related to this field of practice.

The latest National Population Census in Poland, like in many EU countries, was conducted in 2021. In Ukraine, during the entire period of independence, a national census was conducted only once, in 2001, while the following rounds kept being postponed. In 2019, a trial census was conducted in several regions of central Ukraine. The working hypothesis is that for the organisation and conduct of the All-Ukrainian Population Census in Ukraine, it is important to use the experience of EU countries in this field (and Poland’s experience in particular). The purpose of the article is to substantiate the theoretical foundations and comparative analysis of the processes of conducting censuses in Poland and Ukraine and to study the factors of increasing the level of respondent participation. The article reviews a number of socio-economic factors in the light of the comparison of data census organisation in Poland and Ukraine. Several international indicators were investigated that could have an impact on respondent participation in statistical surveys and censuses. By applying factor analysis, it was possible to identify the factors that could increase the level of respondent participation. To solve these demographic challenges, the following activity should be considered: financial support for the successful functioning of economic entities, improvement of social infrastructure, friendly environment for innovation and investment, and peace and political stability in Ukraine.

W artykule podjęta jest próba identyfikacji determinantów regionalnego systemu innowacji oraz analizy ich wpływu na wolumen innowacyjnych dóbr i usług na podstawie analizy ekonometrycznej dla lat 2005–2015 na przykładzie gospodarek regionalnych Centralnego Federalnego Dystryktu Rosji. Analizy ekonometryczne danych przekrojowych pokazują, że wpływ regionalnego potencjału innowacyjnego na wolumen innowacyjnych dóbr i usług stał się bardziej zauważalny od 2011 roku. Do regionów z gospodarką zorientowaną na innowacje należy zaliczyć: Lipetsk, Kalugę i Yaroslavl.
The article tries to identify determinants of the regional innovation system and their influence on the volume of innovative goods and services on the basis of econometric analysis for 2005–2015 taking the regional economies of the Central Federal District of Russia as an example. The econometric analysis of cross‑sectional data has shown that the influence of the region’s innovation potential on the volume of innovative goods and services has become noticeable since 2011. Moreover the regions with an innovation‑oriented economy include Lipetsk, Kaluga and Yaroslavl.

Opis:
The objective of the study was to determine the soil respiration dynamics in the urban dendrology park of the Warsaw Agricultural University. Soil respiration was measured in the ten−day cycles in spring, summer, autumn and winter in three selected environments (so−called: path, grassland and herbaceous layer) differing in the degradation level caused by man and in vegetation ground cover. The soil carbon dioxide efflux in these three environments was measured at the soil surface and at a depth of 10 cm following soil exposure. The diffusion of soil carbon dioxide was also measured using an infrared gas analysis (IRGA), as well as air and soil temperatures at both depths, bulk density of soil, dry soil weight and actual humidity.

Artykuł podejmuje problematykę środowiskowych kosztów rozwoju Specjalnych Stref Ekonomicznych SSE oraz Stref Aktywności Gospodarczej SAG w Polsce. Autorzy przedstawiając genezę tych obszarów, ich postępujący rozwój oraz stan obecny koncertują się na określeniu możliwości analizy „ekologicznych efektów zewnętrznych” związanych z ich funkcjonowaniem. Ponadto ukazują oni specyfikę i wybrane uwarunkowania prawne funkcjonowania tych obszarów. Jednocześnie przedstawiają syntetyczne propozycje działań systemowych, zmierzających do ułatwienia procesu analizy tych bardzo ważnych z punktu widzenia skutecznego prowadzenia „polityki zrównoważonego rozwoju” aspektów.
The paper discusses the issue of environmental costs of the development of Special Economic Zones (SEZ) and Economic Activity Zones (EAZ) in Poland. The authors present the origins of the zones and their progressive development as well as their current status and focus on the analysis of ‘external ecological effects’ related to their functioning. Furthermore, they demonstrate the specific nature and legal conditions of the functioning of the zones. At the same time they present synthetic proposals of system actions facilitating the process of the analysis of these significant aspects of efficient implementation of the ‘policy of sustainable development’.

In short-term, the activities of local government units are significantly different from those of enterprises. The short-term goal of the activity of a local government unit is to meet collective needs of its residents, and the short-term goal of commercial enterprises is to maximize profits. However, in long-term, in the case of local government units and commercial enterprises, both goals are similar – an increase in the value of the territorial self-government / commercial enterprise assets). In both cases, the financial analysis tools can be considered as helpful in the decision-making process as well as the assessment of the broadly understood effectiveness. Therefore, based on the models developed for enterprises in the field of financial analysis, it is worth making an attempt to assess the financial effectiveness of local government units. The aim of the article was to show, on the example with specific indicators and their interpretation, that the financial analysis of local government units provides a lot of useful information both to the manager of the unit and entities cooperating with a given local government unit. The article stresses the legitimacy of financial analysis in local government units and presents the basic tools for such.

Celem artykułu jest identyfikacja poziomu ryzyka w zakresie zadłużenia się gmin i ukazanie finansowych determinant tego zjawiska. Analiza objęła lata 2008–2016. Posłużono się przykładem gmin wiejskich w Polsce. Badania zostały podzielone na dwie części. W pierwszej kolejności zbadano, czy faktycznie istnieje problem nadmiernego zadłużenia. W tym celu wykorzystano wskaźnik udziału zobowiązań w dochodach ogółem, który przedstawiono na wykresie box-plot. Wykorzystano także wybrane metody statystyki opisowej. Generalnie zadłużenie analizowanych jednostek do 2011 r. wzrastało, po czym systematycznie spadało. Stwierdzono, że problem nadmiernego zadłużenia dotyczy kilkudziesięciu samorządów, przy czym to w ostatnich latach poziom badanego wskaźnika osiągał najwyższe wartości. W drugiej części badań analizowane gminy podzielono na cztery klasy poziomu zadłużenia w celu sprawdzenia kształtowania się wybranych wskaźników finansowych w tych klasach. Miało to na celu sprawdzenie, jakie determinanty finansowe mogły mieć wpływ na wystąpienie wspomnianego ryzyka. Analiza wartości pseudotestu dowiodła, że wszystkie wybrane zmienne okazały się być charakterystyczne dla wyodrębionych klas, a analiza wariancji potwierdziła zależność, że im klasa zadłużenia większa, tym poziom pozyskanych środków UE i udział dochodów własnych w dochodach ogółem był wyższy. Oznacza to, że nie brak środków, a raczej przeinwestowanie było przyczyną wystąpienia problemów w gospodarce finansowej tych samorządów. Co należy uznać za oczywiste poziom zadłużenia determinował koszty jego obsługi oraz wpływał na wystąpienie zobowiązań wymagalnych na większą skalę.
The purpose of the article is to identify the level of risk in terms of municipal debt and to show the financial determinants of this phenomenon. The analysis covered the years 2008-2016. An example of rural communes in Poland has been used. The research has been divided into two parts. First, it was examined whether there was indeed a problem of over-indebtedness. For this purpose, the ratio of the share of liabilities in total income, which was presented in the box-plot chart, was used. Selected methods of descriptive statistics were also used. In general, the debt of the analyzed units increased until 2011, after which it systematically decreased. It was found that the problem of over-indebtedness concerns several dozen local governments, while in recent years the level of the surveyed indicator reached the highest values. In the second part of the research, the analyzed communes were divided into four classes of debt level in order to check the shape of selected financial indicators in these classes. This was to check what financial determinants could have influenced the occurrence of the above-mentioned risk. The analysis of the psedotest value proved that all selected variables appeared to be characteristic of separate classes, and the analysis of variance confirmed the dependence that the higher the debt class, the higher the level of EU funds obtained and the share of own revenues in total income was higher. This means that there is no lack of resources, but rather overinvestment was the cause of problems in the financial management of these local governments. What should be taken as an obvious level of indebtedness determined the costs of its service and influenced the occurrence of matured payables on a larger scale.

Literature provides many studies on internationalization processes of production and service enterprises, while the internationalization of commerce firms is not a special subject of interest. The goal of the article is an attempt to diminish knowledge gaps by literature studies and an exploratory empirical research. The literature study aims firstly at the recognition of the specific prerequisites and barriers to internationalization of e-commerce enterprises. The second aim of the literature study conducted in the paper is a review of theoretical models describing the internationalization of firms process which should enable to indicate the adequate theoretical framework for further empirical research on internationalization of e-commerce enterprises. Critical analysis of literature enables the distinction of prerequisites in the nature of technological and economic (including market and cost prerequisites) and technological, non-technological, macro- and microeconomic barriers. The exploratory research conducted by the method of the qualitative analysis based on a case study determined diversified paths of internationalization of three Polish e-commerce enterprises. Further research is aimed at the separation of basic types of such modes and factors which influence their formation. Such research should make possible to identify e-commerce enterprises conducting business on an international market and determine the motives and restrictions existing in their foreign expansion.

Due to Poland's accession to the European Union it is necessary to intensify activities aimed at rational employment, limiting unemployment and its negative consequences in the society, particularly among young people. Such possibilities are provided by socio-economic policy and its legal regulations adjusted to the ED standards. (Law on promoting employment and labour market institutions, and Labor Code). Local conditions of labour market point to a need of developing specific methods, programmes and forms of counteracting unemployment and rationalization of employment. Creating new jobs remains a priority as well as more flexible activities on local labour markets and stimulating self-government initiatives is this field.

Celem artykułu jest prezentacja możliwości wykorzystania metody przepływów na rynku pracy (IOA) i wielomianowej analizy logitowej do badania aktywności ekonomicznej ludności.
Inflow-Outflow Analysis (IOA) combined with estimation of equilibrium unemployment and multinomial logistic regression can be used to develop and complete inference conducted on the basis of the classic characteristics of economic activity of population. Application of these methods let us decompose the labour resources according to the selected socio-economic traits in terms of possible changes in the state of economic activity of population, as well as assess the shares of structural and cyclical component of unemployment. The aim of the paper is to present the possibilities of using the Inflow-Outflow Analysis (IOA) and multinomial logistic regression in the research of economic activity of population.

The paper is an account of the events ending the jubilee year of the University of Lodz and the Department of Social Pedagogy, entitled Social Pedagogy at the University of Lodz: Past – Present – Future, which included two parts: a panel discussion around the issues contained in the book by J.-M. Barbier Vocabulaire d’analyse des activités. Penser les conceptualisations (Lexicon of the activity analysis. Conceptualizations of customary terms) and an exhibition devoted to the history of social pedagogy at the University of Lodz. The event was also a celebration of the centenary of the birth of Professor Irena Lepalczyk occurring on 1 October 2016. The discussion focused on key terms for the author’s own concept of activity analysis, presented in the Lexicon. The emphasized elements included the proposal of unobvious meanings as well as the original structure of the book.
Tekst stanowi relację z wydarzenia kończącego rok jubileuszowy Uniwersytetu Łódzkiego jak i Katedry Pedagogiki Społecznej, zatytułowanego Pedagogika społeczna w Uniwersytecie Łódzkim: przeszłość – teraźniejszość – przyszłość, które objęło dwie części: dyskusję panelową wokół problematyki zawartej w książce J.-M. Barbiera Leksykon analizy aktywności. Konceptualizacje zwyczajowych pojęć oraz wystawę poświęconą dziejom pedagogiki społecznej w UŁ. Wydarzenie było również uczczeniem setnej rocznicy urodzin profesor Ireny Lepalczyk przypadającej 1 października 2016 r. Dyskusja dotyczyła pojęć kluczowych dla autorskiej koncepcji analizy aktywności, zaprezentowanej w Leksykonie. Podkreślano przy tym zarówno propozycję znaczeń nieoczywistych zaproponowanych przez J.-M. Barbiera, jak i oryginalną strukturę książki. Zastanawiano się również m.in. nad uniwersalnością koncepcji i samego Leksykonu.

This paper provides analysis of local labour market of Tarnów during the period of economic transformation in 1990-1996. Domestic market has been taken as a point of reference and comparisons. This survey analyses the degrees of economic stimulation of the population; it shows changes applied to a group of people employed on the basis of a contract of employment in the branches of national economy. Besides, it shows the movement of full-time employees (hiring and firing), and the level of registered unemployment. While assessing the latter phenomenon, change tendencies (Beveridge's curve), and dividing of unemployed according to their job seniority, the duration of being unemployed, age and education have been taken into consideration. Surveys, which have been carried out, point to two evident stages of situation being formed on a labour market: in 1990-1993 - negative tendency (employment decrease and unemployment increase) and in 1994-1996 - positive tendency (employment increase and unemployment decrease). In the final part of the paper, some issues of active employment policy have been discussed, the same as prevention and combating of unemployment.
W artykule przedstawiono wybrane kwestie przemian lokalnych rynków pracy w okresie transformacji gospodarki w latach 1990-1996 na przykładzie województwa (regionu) tarnowskiego na tle rynku pracy w Polsce. W analizie rynku pracy uwzględniono m.in.: stan aktywności ekonomicznej ludności, zasoby pracy, poziom zatrudnienia i bezrobocia, skutki bezrobocia, przeciwdziałanie i sposoby jego zwalczania, racjonalizację zatrudnienia i stwarzanie warunków do powstania nowych miejsc pracy.

Background: The aim of the research was to acquire knowledge as to how the development of scientific publications looks, while also to specify the scope of research on the area of ski tourism. The research process is concentrated on the following research questions: In what way has the scientific output developed in the field of research on ski tourism? Who is the principal participant (countries, universities, authors, titles of sources) in the accumulation of research in a particular field? Method: In the process of selecting the test sample as a source of bibliometric data the Scopus database was applied. The test sample (N=1500) consisted of publications that contained such phrases in their works as “ski tourism”, “ski hotels”, “ski resorts” in their titles or key words. A general profiling of publications was conducted in order to assess the trends in scientific output and the acknowledgement of the leading co-workers in the field of research. MS Excel was applied for the purpose of supporting the process of analysis and the visualization of results. Results: The analysis indicates that research on ski tourism is one of the aspects of great tradition. This has gained increasingly great interest among academic environments, which led to the breakthrough growth in the number of publications in 2006 indexed in the Scopus database. This publication output encompasses 26 research areas. Conclusions: The principal areas yielding the largest number of publications with regard to ski tourism are to be found in social sciences and science on the environment. The main authors and co-authors in this field are as follows: representatives from the EU and the USA, while the most productive research institution is Universität Innsbruck. The author of the greatest number of publications is Prof. Daniel Scott (University of Waterloo, Canada). The EU is one of the main sponsors.
