Celem artykułu jest przedstawienie czytelnikowi wpływu ograniczeń Dyrektywy Siarkowej na użytkowników obszarów objętych ścisłą kontrolą emisji siarki. Wymóg dostosowania się do nowych uregulowań prawnych wymusił na armatorach jednostek morskich stosowanie paliw alternatywnych. W celu spełnienia przepisów IMO dotyczących emisji zanieczyszczeń na obszarach ECA armatorzy jako paliwo żeglugowe wykorzystują skroplony gaz ziemny (LNG). W rozdziale pierwszym publikacji przedstawiono ogólne informacje z zakresu wprowadzonych zmian związanych z Dyrektywą Siarkową. Kolejno, poruszono aspekt zastosowania LNG jako paliwa napędowego jednostek morskich i scharakteryzowano ogniwa uproszczonego łańcucha dostaw LNG. W rozdziale trzecim dokonano analizy ekonomicznej cen LNG względem cen ropy naftowej.
The purpose of the article is to present to the reader the impact of the restrictions of the Sulfur Directive on users of areas under strict sulfur emission control. The requirement to adapt to the new legal regulations has forced naval units shipowners to use alternative fuels. In order to fulfil the IMO regulations concerning the release of pollutants in areas ECA shipowners as navigational fuel are using the liquefied natural gas (LNG). The first chapter of the publication presents general information about the introduced changes related to the Sulfur Directive. Furthermore, he aspect of the use of LNG as the fuel for marine units was discussed and the cells of the simplified LNG supply chain were characterized. The third chapter analyzes the economic price of LNG against oil prices.

Opis:
Despite the innovating transport technologies around the globe, transport sector is the fastest growing consumer of energy and producer of greenhouse gases in the European Union and this trend is expected to continue in next years. Energy security is the one of the key condition of smooth functioning of state. Nowadays only few European countries are energy self-sufficient. Denmark, Norway, the Netherlands, Russian Federation and United Kingdom produce more energy than they can consume. Countries in Central and Eastern Europe are absolutely dependent on imported oil and gas from other suppliers. This paper gives basic information about Liquefied Natural Gas as a greener alternative to other fossil fuels. It focuses on basic properties of LNG, which are fundamental to understanding LNG correctly and then possibly use it as a fuel for rail vehicles.

Opis:
Ewolucja komunikacji trolejbusowej dotyczy wielu europejskich miast. Wraz z rozwojem alternatywnych źródeł zasilania (baterie trakcyjne, supekondensatory, spalinowe agregaty prądotwórcze) trolejbusy stają się mniej uzależnione od sieci trakcyjnej, a przy tym bardziej efektywne ekonomicznie. Jednoczesny rozwój autobusów elektrycznych i związane z nimi problemy eksploatacyjne skłaniają do refleksji nad ponownym rozważaniem zalet trolejbusów i elektrobusów. W artykule przedstawiono szwedzkie doświadczenia we wprowadzaniu nowoczesnych rozwiązań z pogranicza komunikacji trolejbusowej i autobusów elektrycznych.
Evolution of the trolleybus transport occurs in many European cities. With the development of alternative sources of power (traction batteries, supercapacitors, diesel electric generators) trolleybuses become less dependent on the overhead line, and with the more cost-effective. Simultaneous development of electric buses and their associated operational problems tend to reflect on the use of the advantages of trolleybuses and electric buses making the solution more perfect. The article presents the Swedish experience in implementing innovative solutions on the border of trolleybuses and electric buses.

Being the cleanest mine fuel due to the release of low exhaust emissions into the atmosphere, natural gas has been utilised by many fields of transport. A rapidly growing world market of liquefied natural gas (LNG) fuel has enabled to implement this fuel in urban transport. This article concentrates on presenting an alternative solution for the use of LNG fuel in urban buses to reduce exhaust emission using the example of Szczecin. On the basis of a significantly growing segment of the engines for the gas driven market, the article also shows the possible costs arising from the use of LNG fuel in urban buses of Szczecin. The impact to the natural environmental from the use of diesel fuel from vehicles was analysed. Based on the exhaust emission analysis this article shows the difference between using a fuel which emits less noise and is a cleaner energy source with high energy efficiency and the fuel used by carriers.

The article discusses the problem of choosing individual means of transport by urban residents when planning trips. Types and benefits of using alternative means of individual transport in cities were demonstrated. Then the decision-making process of users as well as motivations and transport needs of the population were presented. The aim of the research article was to analyze the preferences of residents in the field of choices for alternative, environmentally friendly means of transport.
W artykule omówiony został problem wyboru środków transportu indywidualnego przez mieszkańców miast podczas planowania podróży. Wykazano rodzaje i korzyści wykorzystywania alternatywnych środków transportu indywidualnego w miastach. Następnie przedstawiono proces decyzyjny użytkowników oraz motywacji i potrzeb transportowych ludności. Celem badawczym artykułu była analiza preferencji mieszkańców w zakresie wyborów dotyczących alternatywnych, proekologicznych środków transportu.

In the past period, around the world there were signs of depletion of natural energy sources. This is manifested by rising fuel prices and a significant increase in commitment to the search for alternative sources of energy that can be used in vehicles. The said increase in fuel prices caused the operators of the vehicles attempted to reduce its consumption by introducing the principles of economic and efficient driving. These rules represent a compromise between the economy, security and pleasure. It combines a quiet, smooth ride under certain conditions with dynamic acceleration when possible. The paper presents the influence of selected traffic conditions on its economy. It is a development of the literature of this subject [1-13].
W minionym okresie na całym świecie pojawiły się symptomy wyczerpywania się zapasów naturalnych źródeł energii. Przejawia się to poprzez rosnące ceny paliw oraz znaczne zwiększenie zaangażowania w poszukiwania alternatywnych źródeł energii, które mogą znaleźć zastosowanie w pojazdach samochodowych. Wspomniany wzrost ceny paliwa sprawił, że użytkownicy pojazdów podjęli próby zmniejszenia jego zużycia poprzez wprowadzenie zasad ekonomicznej i oszczędnej jazdy. Zasady te stanowią kompromis pomiędzy oszczędnością, bezpieczeństwem oraz przyjemnością. Łączy spokojną, płynną jazdę w określonych warunkach z dynamicznym przyspieszaniem wtedy, kiedy jest to możliwe. W artykule przedstawiono wpływ wybranych warunków ruchu na jego ekonomiczność. Stanowi on opracowanie literaturowe omawianej tematyki [1-13].

With the growth of the population and the expansion of the territory of large cities, certain difficulties arise in meeting the needs of passengers for transportation. This article studied the satisfaction of users with the city's public transport system, especially the bus transport. Thus, a survey was conducted among passengers in Baku to assess their satisfaction with public transport. The survey covered all districts of Baku in general. The study was conducted in October 2021. The questions were aimed at identifying the weight, reasons for preferring the different types of public transport, the level of satisfaction of the population with these types, assessing the quality of services and the lack of urban bus transport. The level of satisfaction of survey participants with the work of public transport by gender and age groups was determined. Subsequently, this study showed that most of the population movements are carried out by bus transport. The analysis revealed factors that reduce the quality of service on bus routes. In addition, it examined the reasons why the population chose the bus transport, the shortcomings of the bus transport, the effectiveness of dedicated bus lanes, and attitudes toward the use of alternative public transport. Summarily, this study was passenger service to increase passenger satisfaction toward attracting more people to public transport.

The aim of the paper is to present the most important results of the research carried out for the case study on the
effects of Rail Baltica investments in the Warsaw Metropolitan Area (WMA) urban node. The research was carried out
as part of the EU project NSB CoRe (North Sea Baltic Connector of Regions). In the article the main conclusions from the
study are presented, describing changes that have supervened in the analyzed area (communes within the boundaries
of the WMA, at a distance of up to 3 km from the E75 railway line and ones crossed by national road 8/S8) in the period
of the E75 line’s modernization. The analysis focuses on changes in settlement structure as well as the functioning of
railway transport, with an assessment of the improvements by its users. Conclusions from the analysis of changes in the
spatio-functional and socio-economical dimensions are described and concern the number of building licenses granted,
changes in population size, changes in the number of registered natural person business entities, changes in the number
of transactions on the real estate market. Moreover, in the area of transport, the paper presents an assessment of the
quality of railway services on the E75 line through passengers’ opinions and the integration of the Baltic railway with
alternative transport modes.
Celem artykułu jest przedstawienie najważniejszych wyników badań przeprowadzonych na potrzeby Studium
wpływu modernizacji linii kolejowej E75 na rozwój Obszaru Metropolitalnego Warszawy, Przedmiotowe opracowanie
powstało w ramach projektu NSB CoRe (North Sea Baltic Connector of Regions). W artykule zaprezentowano
najważniejsze wnioski z przedmiotowego Studium, opisujące zmiany, które zaszły na obszarze badań (zawartego
w granicach OMW, obejmującego gminy położone w zasięgu 3 km od linii kolejowej E75 oraz gminy, przez które
przebiega droga krajowa nr 8/S8), w okresie trwającej modernizacji linii E75. W tym celu skoncentrowano się na analizie
zmian w przestrzeni osadniczej oraz w zakresie funkcjonowania transportu kolejowego i oceny przez podróżnych
przyjętych usprawnień. Opisano wnioski z analizy zmian w wymiarze funkcjonalno-przestrzennym i społecznogospodarczym
obszaru badań w zakresie: wydanych pozwoleń na budowę, zmiany liczby ludności, zarejestrowanych
podmiotów gospodarczych osób fizycznych, transakcji zawartych na rynku nieruchomości. W artykule przedstawiono
również zmiany, które zaszły w okresie modernizacji w zakresie transportu obejmujące ocenę jakości usług
przewoźników kolejowych realizowanych na linii E75, opinie pasażerów na temat funkcjonowania transportu
kolejowego oraz powiązania kolei bałtyckiej z alternatywnymi środkami transportu.

At present, electromobility is a very dynamically developing segment and at the same time has many unknowns that enterprises that want to develop this area in their structures have to face. This article aims is to show the difficulties of electromobility development from the perspective of Polish energy groups which are closely related to this area, especially considering the obligations imposed on energy companies by the legislator. The electrification of transport has become a reality and in order to use its potential to develop new services or implement innovations and new technologies, it is necessary to identify development barriers and prepare a response plan. The authors of the article decided to show the formal and legal implications for the development of electromobility in Poland in first order, and then examine the development strategies of Polish energy groups in terms of electromobility and indicate explored areas related to it. The next section focuses on identifying the main barriers to the implementation of business models, classifying them according to the following factors: economic, operational, technical, social and legal. This presentation of the problem allows for an in-depth recognition of the issue and realizing that in order to achieve the goals set by the Legislator, close cooperation of all stakeholders is necessary both at the national and local level, while engaging energy groups, financial companies, electric vehicle manufacturers, and above all local government units in these activities.
Elektromobilność w chwili obecnej jest segmentem bardzo dynamicznie rozwijającym się i jednocześnie posiadającym wiele niewiadomych, z którymi muszą się zmierzyć przedsiębiorstwa chcące rozwijać ten obszar w swoich strukturach. Niniejszy artykuł ma na celu przybliżenie pojawiających się problemów podczas rozwijania elektromobilności z perspektywy polskich grup energetycznych, które z tym obszarem są ściśle powiązane, chociażby przez nałożone obowiązki ustawowe. Elektryfikacja transportu stała się już faktem i aby wykorzystać jej potencjał na rozwój nowych usług czy wdrożenie innowacji i nowych technologii, należy zidentyfikować bariery rozwojowe i przygotować na nie gotowy plan odpowiedzi. Autorzy artykułu postanowili w pierwszej kolejności wykazać implikacje formalno-prawne dla rozwoju segmentu elektromobilności w kraju, a następnie zbadać strategie rozwoju polskich grup energetycznych pod kątem elektromobilności oraz wskazać eksplorowane obszary z tym związane. Kolejny podrozdział koncentruje się na wskazaniu głównych barier implementacji modeli biznesowych, klasyfikując je według następujących czynników: ekonomicznych, operacyjnych, technicznych, społecznych i prawnych. Takie przedstawienie problematyki pozwala na wnikliwe rozpoznanie zagadnienia i uświadomienie, że w celu osiągnięcia założonych przez ustawodawcę celów, niezbędna jest ścisła współpraca wszystkich interesariuszy, zarówno na szczeblu krajowym, jak i lokalnym, jednocześnie angażując w te działania grupy energetyczne, przedsiębiorstwa finansowe, producentów pojazdów elektrycznych, a przede wszystkim jednostki samorządów terytorialnych.

Rozwój rynku paliw alternatywnych - jak podkreślono w strategii - jest obecnie hamowany przez niedociągnięcia technologiczne i handlowe, niedostateczną akceptację konsumentów i brak odpowiedniej infrastruktury. Obecne wysokie koszty innowacyjnych zastosowań paliw alternatywnych są w dużej mierze następstwem tych niedociągnięć. W tej sytuacji, kreując strategię, wykorzystano wyniki prac realizowanych wspólnie z przemysłem, organami publicznymi i społeczeństwem obywatelskim. Uwzględniając znaczenie przyjętej strategii dla rozwoju europejskiego rynku paliw, w niniejszym artykule omówiono jej założenia oraz wskazano na skutki dla rynku autobusowych przewozów pasażerskich.

Opis:
The article presents scenarios for the EU and national development of passenger electric and hybrid cars. The forecast for 2030 of the shares of such vehicles in the total number of new passenger cars sold in various categories in the EU, has been presented. The expected carbon dioxide emissions for this time horizon, in so-called, life cycle of cars in the EU and in Poland, in relation to conventionally powered passenger cars and electric and hybrid cars, have also been presented The results of surveys conducted by the Motor Transport Institute on the interest of residents of the Polish agglomerations in the acquisition and operation of the electric cars in the coming years have been d. Questions and answers referred to the socio - demographic structure of the respondents and their households, the number of classes of the cars owned, monthly household income and self-evaluation of the quality of the income management. Also, the questions were asked about the ownership and extent of use (frequency of use of a car owned and the average annual mileage) and the criteria for the current and future choices of passenger cars (e.g. price class, purpose). The questions also concerned the technical and economic knowledge of electric cars (such as the impact on the natural environment, operating costs), as well as willingness to incur possible costs associated with the purchase of an electric car. The focus was also placed on getting to know the vulnerability of the consumers to the influence of the actions of the propaganda, administrative and economic nature, which may affect the consumers’ decisions concerning the purchase of electric cars and learning about the reasons for any reluctance to use such vehicles.

Opis:
Nowadays, the desire and the emphasis, which are put on continuous development, drive the innovative ideas all over the word. As an effect, the concept of Smart City was created. This term refers to the cities where logistics and public means of transport are crucial. One of the pioneering ideas implemented in Smart City is the possibility of renting a vehicle for minutes. This solution is proposed mainly in the big metropolises, and thanks to the development of Internet of Things, it has recently gained huge popularity. Among the offered vehicles, there are not only classic, ordinary passenger cars, but also the alternative means of transport such as: electric scooters, bicycles and delivery vehicles. In the context of the implementation of Smart City, Katowice decided to allow the transport-sharing companies to introduce their services within Silesia Province. The following project studies the competitiveness of transport-sharing enterprises’ services. The final conclusion shows that the variety of different transport-sharing companies’ proposals give customers the opportunity to choose the most appropriate and economical option for them in a particular moment.
