    Considerable climate changes have been observed in the last 50 years – warming in every spatial scale (global, continental, regional and local), changes in atmospheric precipitation and several weather extremes, shrinking of cryosphere and sea level rise. The warming since the mid-20th century has predominantly been due to greenhouse gas emissions from human activities, in particular the combustion of fossil fuels, farming and other changes in land use. The paper presents the aspects of impact of climate change for farming and food security and the impact of farming for climate change in Polish and global scale. Agriculture holds a meaningful potential of reduction of greenhouse gas emissions and of carbon sequestration. It will be necessary to manage optimally advantageous changes and effectively adapt to adverse changes.

    The industry transformation to the digital model 4.0 will be a significant change from the perspective of the organisation and processes. In the context of the above, the research was undertaken, the principal aim of which constituted the attempt to answer the question concerning the technological advancement level of manufacturing companies operating in the agricultural machinery sector. It is about identifying what adaptation projects in the context of the fourth generation industry era should be undertaken by the Polish manufacturers operating in the agricultural machinery sector. The achievement of the main objective required formulation and implementation of partial objectives, which, according to the authors, include: C(1) – defining the Industry 4.0 axiom merit; C(2) – using the subject literature reconstruction and interpretation methods – nomination of areas, on the one hand essential from the perspective of the model 4.0, and on the other hand those that may demonstrate the maturity in the domain of the adopted desiderata; C(3) – compilation of the research model, in the form of an assessment sheet, being a resultant of literature studies and research conducted among deliberately selected domain experts; C(4) – based on the selected indicators, the technological advancement level recognition of the studied companies; specification of a technological gap (questioning among experts).

    The paper presents the process of cross-compliance implementation in Poland. The definition of the process as well as its components are discussed with the use of an example of the cross-compliance mechanism. This mechanism is shown at the macroeconomic level (country level) and the microeconomic level (on a farm), as well as the role of FAS bodies in the process of farm adaptation. Empirical studies were conducted in 2010-2012 and included three Polish provinces: Malopolskie, Opolskie and Lodzkie. On the basis of the analysis it must be concluded that this process consists of several stages, interlinked and dependent upon themselves. At the farm level it can have a repetitive nature. Farmers can take advantage of advisory services in this regard. The results of the survey indicate that farmers mostly use public agricultural advisory services and best assess the quality of services provided by advisory centres.
    Przedstawiono proces wdrażania wymogów wzajemnej zgodności. Definicję procesu oraz jego komponentów ukazano na przykładzie mechanizmu wzajemnej zgodności. Mechanizm ten przedstawiono w ujęciu makroekonomicznym (poziom krajowy) oraz mikroekonomicznych (w gospodarstwie rolnym), a także krótko opisano rolę wybranych instytucji FAS w procesie dostosowania gospodarstw rolnych. Badania empiryczne prowadzono w latach 2010-2012 na obszarze trzech województw: małopolskiego, opolskiego i łódzkiego. Na podstawie przeprowadzonej analizy należy stwierdzić, że proces dostosowania składa się z wielu etapów, wzajemnie powiązanych i od siebie zależnych. Na poziomie gospodarstwa rolnego może mieć charakter powtarzający się. Rolnicy mogą skorzystać z usług doradczych w tym zakresie. Wyniki przeprowadzonych badań pokazały, że korzystają oni najczęściej z usług publicznego doradztwa rolniczego, a także najwyżej oceniają jakość usług świadczonych przez ośrodki doradztwa rolniczego.

    Artykuł omawia problematykę koncepcji systemów rolno-leśnych w Polsce w kontekście Wspólnej Polityki Rolnej Unii Europejskiej oraz reguł ustalonych przez Ministerstwo Rolnictwo i Rozwoju Wsi. Analizuje główne szanse i zagrożenia dla rozwoju systemów agroleśnictwa w polskim rolnictwie. Pomimo rozbieżności zapisów w zakresie prawodawstwa zadrzewień w UE jak i w Polsce, które w obliczu pogłębiających się problemów środowiskowych i procesów globalizacyjnych zagrażają racjonalnemu rozwojowi obszarów wiejskich, właściwie zaplanowane zadrzewienia (w tym systemy rolno-leśne) są kluczowym elementem zintegrowanego i zrównoważonego zarządzania gruntami zgodnie z koncepcją biogospodarki, wprowadzają eko-innowacyjne rozwiązania oraz dostarczają drewna i biomasy energetycznej przez co wspierają lokalny rozwój a także wzmacniają poczucie lokalnej społeczności.
    The paper is an attempt to discuss problems of trees outside forest in the light of agroforestry, Common Agricultural Policy and the rules established by the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development in Poland. Among other things, it looks at the opportunities and threats for agroforestry development in Polish agriculture. Given wide discrepancies between legal definitions concerning agroforestry, trees outside forest and woodlands within EU CAP policy as well as within Polish legislation, this fact threatens the sustainable development of rural areas, in particular where environmental and globalization problems are increasing. In view of these challenges, trees outside forest are the key element of integrated and sustainable land management and fully conform with the concept of bio-economy. This approach implements eco-innovative solutions and can be used in order to produce timber or wood for bioenergy. This supports also local development and reinforce the sense of belonging to the community.

    Opis:
    The subject of the study is a detailed analysis of the candidate internship institution in workers’ cooperatives and in agricultural cooperatives. The former primarily base their activity on the personal activity of their own members, while the latter are characterized by the fact that their basic subject of functioning is running a common farm and activities for the benefit of individual farms of members. While the legislator in Article 200 of Cooperative Law regulates the rules and manner of holding a candidate internship in workers’ cooperatives, there is no analogical regulation in agricultural cooperatives. This raises important interpretative doubts in the legal doctrine and practice and the fundamental question about the admissibility of using the candidate internship in these organizations. Apart from the internship structure in cooperative organizations, the author also analyzes the legal situation of the candidates taking part in it.
    Przedmiotem opracowania jest szczegółowa analiza instytucji stażu kandydackiego w spółdzielniach pracy oraz w rolniczych spółdzielniach produkcyjnych. Te pierwsze swoją działalność przede wszystkim opierają na osobistej aktywności własnych członków, zaś te drugie charakteryzują się tym, że ich podstawowym przedmiotem funkcjonowania jest prowadzenie wspólnego gospodarstwa rolnego oraz działalności na rzecz indywidualnych gospodarstw rolnych członków. O ile jednak ustawodawca w art. 200 Prawa Spółdzielczego reguluje zasady i sposób odbywania stażu kandydackiego w spółdzielniach pracy, o tyle brak jest analogicznego unormowania w rolniczych spółdzielniach produkcyjnych. Rodzi to zarówno w doktrynie prawa, judykaturze, jak i praktyce istotne wątpliwości interpretacyjne, w szczególności zaś powstaje zasadnicze pytanie o dopuszczalność wykorzystywania stażu kandydackiego w tych organizacjach. Autor poza konstrukcją stażu w organizacjach spółdzielczych, dokonuje także analizy sytuacji prawnej kandydatów biorących w nim udział.
