    Background: With the emergence of supply chain management as a key strategic function in the agri-food sector, a lot of research has been conducted to find ways to improve the performance and sustainability of agri-food supply chains. The Triple-A Supply Chain concept, which refers to the agility, adaptability, and alignment of the supply chains, has been a field of study for various researchers aiming at shaping meaningful and sustainable competitive advantages for businesses and organizations in various sectors. Over the years, alternative, complementary, or upgraded versions of this approach have been proposed, such as the “New AAA Supply Chain”, which describes the renewed Triple-A Supply Chain model based on Super-Agility, Architectural Adaptability, and Ecosystem Alignment, and the “Triple A & R” framework, which refers to Agility for Robustness, Adaptability, and Resilience, and Re-Alignment. Methods: This paper presents the results of a selective study of the bibliography considering the Triple-A Supply Chain model, the “New AAA Supply Chain” model and the “Triple A & R” framework. These frameworks are analyzed and compared with each other considering their principles, and their implementation in the agri-food sector is researched. The scope of this study is to analyze the potential of the application and suitability of these frameworks in agri-food supply chains, having considered the particularities of the sector. Results: Examining the models concerning the evolution of the Triple-A Supply Chain paradigm, it is evident that they differ from each other, as they approach supply chain management from different viewpoints. Conclusions: The potential of application of various models originating from the Triple-A Supply Chain paradigm was examined in the case of the agri-food sector considering product nature, sustainability, and investment cost as the factors affecting it. These frameworks could partially find application in the agri-food sector, as some of their guidelines promote the increase of the agri-food supply chain effectiveness.

    Il saggio analizza l’evoluzione della legislazione italiana dell’impresa agricola in relazione agli sviluppi delle politiche agricole europee. Il saggio evidenzia che, sia la normativa europea che quella nazionale nei più recenti sviluppi confermano la specialità del diritto agrario, finalizzato alla conservazione delle attività agricole e del territorio rurale, così come al funzionamento della filiera agroalimentare al cui interno l’attività produttiva agricola europea rappresenta un anello essenziale.
    W artykule omówiono ewolucję włoskiego ustawodawstwa regulującego działalność rolniczą i jego ramy prawne ukształtowane zgodnie z rozwojem Wspólnej Polityki Rolnej. Obserwowane tendencje w ustawodawstwie, zarówno na poziomie krajowym, jak i europejskim, potwierdzają szczególną rolę prawa rolnego, którego celem jest utrzymanie działalności rolników opartej na użytkowaniu ziemi, jak również (europejskiej) produkcji rolnej, przeznaczonej do łańcucha dostaw żywności.
    The article deals with the evolution of the Italian legislation on agricultural business and its legislative framework shaped in accordance with the development of the Common Agricultural Policy. The observed trends in legislation, both at the national and European level, confirm the special role of agricultural law, aimed at the maintenance of farmers activities based on the use of land as well as of the (European) agricultural production, destined for the food supply chain.

    Prezentowany artykuł dotyczy nowych wyzwań, które pojawiają się w ramach europejskiego łańcucha rolno-spożywczego po niedawnym zatwierdzeniu dyrektywy (UE) 2019/633 z 17 kwietnia w sprawie nieuczciwych praktyk handlowych w relacjach między przedsiębiorcami w rolnictwie a łańcuchem dostaw żywności. Komisja Europejska zajęła się małymi i średnimi przedsiębiorstwami spożywczymi i rolnymi, producentami i rolnikami w łańcuchu dostaw żywności, którzy reprezentują wrażliwy sektor w rolno-spożywczym łańcuchu dostaw. Nowy akt normatywny ma na celu ograniczenie nieuczciwych praktyk handlowych, które są stosowane w łańcuchu dostaw, i zapewnienie równych szans małym i średnim przedsiębiorstwom spożywczym i rolniczym, producentom i rolnikom. Wynika to ze zróżnicowania możliwości negocjacyjnych i jest zgodne z propozycjami modernizacji Wspólnej Polityki Rolnej (WPR).
    L’articolo si propone di presentare nuove sfide per la filiera agroalimentare nell’Unione europea in relazione alla recente Direttiva (UE) n. 633 del 17 aprile 2019 in materia di pratiche commerciali sleali nei rapporti tra imprese nella filiera agricola e alimentare. La direttiva definisce un elenco minimo di pratiche commerciali sleali vietate nelle relazioni tra acquirenti e fornitori lungo la filiera agricola e alimentare, stabilisce anche norme minime concernenti l’applicazione di tali divieti. A parere degli autori, le nuove disposizioni mirano a combattere le eventuali pratiche commerciali sleali, e portano a creare pari opportunità per le piccole e medie imprese nel settore alimentare e agricolo, tra produttori e agricoltori, in linea con i postulati relativi alla modernizzazione della politica agricola comune.
    The work we present addresses the new challenges that arise in the European framework regarding the agri-food chain, following the recent approval of Directive (EU) 2019/633 of 17 April on unfair trading practices in business-to-business relationships in the agricultural and food supply chain. The European Commission has dealt with small and medium-sized food and agricultural companies, producers and farmers in the food supply chain who represent a vulnerable sector in the agri-food supply chain. The new normative text aims to limit the possible unfair trading practices that are carried out in the supply chain and that involve the alteration of the equal opportunities of small and medium-sized food and agricultural companies, producers and farmers. Fundamentally due to the diverse negotiation capacity, in accordance with the proposals for the modernisation of the Common Agricultural Policy (CAP).

    Przedsiębiorstwa stale poszukują sposobów tworzenia przewagi konkurencyjnej. W procesie budowania tej przewagi ważną rolę pełni koncepcja logistyki. Ewolucja tej koncepcji wskazuje na coraz częstsze orientowanie się przedsiębiorstw na rozwój łańcuchów dostaw, w których procesy logistyczne mają kluczowe znaczenie. Jednym z rodzajów łańcuchów dostaw, które zasługują na szczególną uwagę, są krótkie łańcuchy dostaw, odgrywające istotną rolę w sektorze rolno-spożywczym. To właśnie w tym sektorze szybkie dotarcie produktu do ostatecznego klienta dzięki krótkiemu łańcuchowi jest często kwestią najważniejszą. Z jednej strony bowiem zapewnia zaspokojenie potrzeb i oczekiwań klientów w odniesieniu do określonych produktów, z drugiej natomiast umożliwia osiąganie wymiernych korzyści przez producentów i dostawców tych produktów. Celem artykułu jest identyfikacja przesłanek i przejawów oddziaływania koncepcji logistyki na rozwój krótkich łańcuchów dostaw w sektorze rolno-spożywczym. Artykuł ma charakter koncepcyjny. Na początku przybliżono istotę logistyki postrzeganej jako koncepcja zarządzania przepływami towarów i informacji, a także przedstawiono fazy jej rozwoju. Następnie zaprezentowano istotę i znaczenie krótkich łańcuchów dostaw, mając na uwadze najważniejsze charakterystyki sektora rolno-spożywczego. Ostatnia część została poświęcona przesłankom i przejawom oddziaływania koncepcji logistyki na rozwój krótkich łańcuchów dostaw.
    Firms are permanently looking for ways leading to the competitive advantage creation. The concept of logistics plays an important role in the process of building such an advantage. The evolution of the logistics concept shows that firms are increasingly focused on the supply chains formation and development, including the key importance of the logistics processes in supply chain. One of the types of supply chains that deserve the special attention are the short supply chains, playing a significant role in the agri-food sector. It is in this sector that the fast time of product delivery to the end customer is often of the utmost importance. It ensures that the needs and expectations of customers are met. It also enables tangible benefits to be achieved by producers and suppliers. The aim of the article is to identify the most important premises and symptoms of the logistics concept impact on the development of short supply chains in the agri-food sector. The article is of a conceptual nature. Firstly, the nature of logistics as the concept of the goods and information flow management, as well as the logistics concept development were presented. Then the article presents the essence and significance of the short supply chains, bearing in mind the most important characteristics of the agri-food sector. The last part of the article comprises premises and symptoms of the logistics concept impact on the short supply chains development.
