Opis:
Three different methods of building detailed velocity models for seismic interpretation are explained and discussed in terms of their advantages and limitations. All of the proposed methods are based on the analysis of acoustic well logs. An application of acoustic full waveform measurements, as well as the FalaFWS and Estymacja software, is presented as a tool for determining P-wave and S-wave slowness (transit time interval, velocity reciprocal). Well log data from several wells, located near the special research seismic transect in the Polish Lowland, were processed using the methods proposed. The results of data analysis are presented for a depth section of up to 3623 m for the lithostratigraphic units, recorded from the Środa Wielkopolska 5 (SW5) well. The results of P-wave and S-wave slowness filtering, used to upscale well log data to a seismic scale of resolution, are shown for the entire geological profile of the SW5 well.

Opis:
A theoretical model of acoustic field for a parametric focusing source on concave spherical surface is proposed. In this model, the source boundary conditions of the Spheroidal Beam Equation (SBE) for difference frequency wave excitation were studied. Propagation curves and beam patterns for difference frequency component of the acoustic field are compared with those obtained for Khokhlov-Zabolotskaya-Kuznetsov (KZK) model. The results demonstrate that the focused parametric model of SBE is good valid for a large aperture angle in the strongly focused acoustic field. It is also investigated that high directivity and good focal ability with the decreasing of downshift ratio and the increasing of half-aperture angle for the focused parametric model of SBE.

Opis:
A spectrum of low-frequency (20‒30 Hz) amplitude fluctuations of the ultrasonic (10 MHz) signal specularly scattered from water surfaces covered with monomolecular and thicker crude oil origin films of well-defined, oceanographically relevant viscoelastic properties was examined in laboratory and at-sea conditions. The relationship between the Surface water wave (30 Hz) damping coefficient and the oil layer thickness was established, and compared to the one predicted by the classical Stokes theory. The depression of the spectral energy density of wind-driven waves by surface films was inferred from the ratio of acoustic signal fluctuations spectra with/without films, and compared to that resulting from the Marangoni damping theory applicable to monolayers of particular surface viscoelasticity. The agreement between the theory and experimental data was satisfactory. As shown in at-sea experiments performed with a free-floating, buoy-like acoustic system, and an artificial oil slick spread over the Baltic Sea surface, the film’s rheological Surface properties can be recovered from acoustic surface probing, as well as oil spill edge detection. Simultaneous statistical analyses of the scattered signal amplitude distribution parameters turned out to be unequivocally related to the oil substance fraction weight, oil layer thickness, and the form of oil contamination.

Opis:
The paper is dedicated on the improving of the frequency response of FBAR filters by replacement some of the single FBARs with two parallel connected resonators. The method is applied for the basic lattice filter architecture and its modification with twice less number of FBARs. The conditions, which must satisfy the resonator parameters, are derived by theoretical considerations and computer simulations.
