    W artykule omówiono wydane w roku ubiegłym przez MAEA wymagania dotyczące wyboru lokalizacji obiektów jądrowych. Temat jest interesujący, szczególnie w Polsce gdzie nie podjęto jeszcze decyzji odnośnie lokalizacji pierwszej elektrowni jądrowej. Jest to krótkie 22 stronicowe opracowanie w którym brało udział 54 autorów z różnych państw i organizacji.
    In this article a new IAEA publication titled “Site Evaluation for Nuclear Installations” has been described. The subjectmatter is very interesting, especially in Poland where a site for the first nuclear power plant has not been decided yet. The publication is short, consists of 22 pages and was prepared by 54 authors from different states and organizations.

    Every year a very large number of people die on the roads. From year to year, the value decreases, there are still a very high number of them. The pandemic has reduced the number of road accidents, but the value is still very high. For this reason, it is necessary to know under which weather conditions the highest number of road accidents occur, and to know the forecast of accidents according to the prevailing weather conditions for the coming years, in order to be able to do everything possible to minimize the number of road accidents. The purpose of the article is to make a forecast of the number of road accidents in Poland depending on the prevailing weather conditions. The research was divided into two parts. The first was the analysis of annual data from the Police statistics on the number of road accidents in Poland in 2001-2021, and on this basis the forecast of the number of road accidents for 2022-2031 was determined. The second part of the research, dealt with monthly data from 2007-2021. Again, the analyzed forecast for the period January 2022-December 2023 was determined. The results of the study indicate that we can still expect a decline in the number of accidents in the coming years, which is particularly evident when analyzing annual data. It is worth noting that the prevailing pandemic distorts the results obtained. The research was conducted in MS Excel, using selected trend models.

    All activities in the Arctic are conducted near the limit of technological opportunities and human abilities. But the drain of resources in the areas convenient for development obliges us to look at this severe polar region. The main objectives of the PetroArctic project (offshore and coastal technology for petroleum production and transport from arctic water) as a part of PETROMAX and MarSafe project (Marine Safety Management) are to obtain and provide information for safety of Arctic operation such as hydrocarbons production and transport from Polar seas. One of the tasks is a collection of ice pilot experiences from the people involved in the Arctic activities to learn how they felt in these conditions, how they solved difficult tasks and managed the ice. Items of special interest are connected to lost vessels and other marine accidents. Appreciable amount of written documentation and interviews have been processed and organized into a data base of marine accidents in Russian Arctic since 1900. It includes a set of maps where the locations of the accidents are shown with a description of the accidents (date, geographical environment, vessel type, what happened and how the people acted, etc). This paper includes the map for Kara Sea and descriptions of several accidents in the eastern part of Arctic as example of different situations, as well as the principles of the data base construction and accidents classification.

    The paper deals with the sea accidents that have occurred at the domain of a passenger Ro-Ro ship operating at the Baltic Sea between Gdynia and Karlskrona ports during last three decades. The accidents are grouped into two sets, that happened at the open waters and those at the port waters. Next, for each accident, the climateweather change process conditions are identified to examine the weather hazards influence on the considered accidents.

    Od 2023 roku praca zdalna na stałe została unormowana w przepisach prawa pracy. Kodeks pracy definiuje to pojęcie jako pracę wykonywaną całkowicie lub częściowo w miejscu wskazanym przez pracownika i uzgodnionym z pracodawcą, w szczególności z wykorzystaniem środków bezpośredniego porozumiewania się na odległość. Ustawodawca dał zatem stronom stosunku pracy wybór, aby mogły zastosować dla siebie najkorzystniejsze rozwiązania. Niezależnie od miejsca, z którego wykonywane będą służbowe obowiązki, pracownik jest zobowiązany oświadczyć, że posiada warunki techniczne i lokalowe do wykonywania pracy zdalnej, a wybrane miejsce spełnia wszystkie wytyczne oceny ryzyka zawodowego i zasad bhp, które z kolei zobowiązany jest przedstawić pracodawca. Nie można jednak założyć, że taka forma pracy będzie pozbawiona niebezpiecznych sytuacji, w tym wypadków. Specyfika formy zdalnej wymaga dokładnego zbadania okoliczności, aby ustalić, czy w chwili zdarzenia pracownik na pewno realizował obowiązki służbowe na zlecenia pracodawcy i w jego interesie. Kwalifikacji takiego zdarzenia dokonuje zespół powypadkowy, który ma obowiązek powołać pracodawca.
    As of 2023, remote working has been permanently standardised in labour legislation. The Labour Code defines this concept as work performed wholly or partly at a place indicated by the employee and agreed with the employer, in particular by means of direct communication at a distance. The legislator has therefore given the parties to the employment relationship the choice to apply the most favourable solutions for themselves. Irrespective of the location from which the official duties are to be performed, the employee is obliged to declare that he or she has the technical and premises conditions for performing remote work and that the chosen location meets all the guidelines of the occupational risk assessment and health and safety rules, which the employer in turn is obliged to provide. However, it cannot be assumed that this form of work will be free of dangerous situations, including accidents. The specific nature of the remote form requires a thorough investigation of the circumstances to determine whether, at the time of the incident, the employee was definitely performing work duties on the employer’s instructions and in the employer’s interest. The qualification of such an incident is carried out by an accident team, which the employer is obliged to appoint.

    „Improvement of safety and working conditions” programme is a main instrument to accomplish EU Strategy in order to improve the Occupational Health and Safety conditions in Poland, of which the constitutive objective was to decrease the general accidents at work frequency rate by 25% per 100 000 professionally active people in years 2007-2012. The article showed primary premises of the „Improvement of safety and working conditions” programme and throughout the analysis of evolution of general accidents at work rate and number of accidents which occured in the sectors of Polish economy in years 2007-2012 was the level of accomplishment of the objective that had been established by EU27.
    Program „Poprawy bezpieczeństwa i warunków pracy” jest głównym narzędziem realizacji przyjętej Strategii UE w zakresie poprawy stanu bhp w Polsce, której konsty¬tutywnym celem było zmniejszenie ogólnego wskaźnika częstości wypadków przy pracy o 25% na 100 000 osób aktywnych zawodowo w latach 2007-2012. W artykule przedstawiono podstawowe założenia Programu „Poprawy bezpie-czeństwa i warunków pracy” oraz poprzez analizę kształtowania się wskaźnika częstości wypadków przy pracy ogółem i ilości zaistniałych wypadków w sektorach polskiej gospodarki w latach 2007-2012 określono poziom realizacji założonego celu UE27.

The main cause of accidents is ignorance of Health and Safety regulations, failure to observe these regulations, lack of supervision of workers, lack of personal protection equipment for workers as well as sheer negligence.

    W artykule przedstawiono sposoby wzmocnienia i stabilizacji nasypu w stanie awaryjnym w ciągu linii kolejowej E65 w miejscowości Jurkowice w ramach projektu modernizacji i dostosowania międzynarodowej linii kolejowej do potrzeb kolei dużych prędkości. Omówiono przyczyny awarii, rolę poprawnego rozpoznania warunków geotechnicznych podłoża oraz rozwiązania projektowe wzmocnienia nasypu kolejowego. Opisano sposób monitorowania czynnego osuwiska i podejmowania działań naprawczych w myśl projektowania aktywnego, w zależności od uzyskanych wyników analizy nasypu. Przedstawiono możliwe oraz przyjęte działania naprawcze.
    The article presents the methods of ground treatment and stabilization of embankment in failure state along the railway line E65 in Jurkowice as a part of national programme of high-speed rail construction. Three key components of the scheme have been presented: the causes of failure, the role of site investigation in the context of an adequate determination of geotechnical properties and design solutions. The methods of monitoring the active landslide and reconstructing the embankment dependent on the achieved results have been discussed according to conscious designing philosophy as well as the possible and accepted repair solutions.

    Within last few years, there were still too many fatal accidents in Poland on public roads of all categories. Therefore there are continuous attempts being taken in order to find reasons of the fatalities as well as the solution and method for their prevention. The West Pomeranian Regional Road Board in Koszalin has started in 2016 actions with a view to establish Regional Roads Safety System in cooperation with different institutions, especially with the police.
