This paper aims at presenting the results of studies conducted in Grodziczno municipality in the province of Warmia and Mazury concerning educational barriers and opportunities for lower secondary school youth from areas of former State-owned farms. 
Artykuł ma na celu przedstawienie wyników badań przeprowadzonych na terenie gminy Grodziczno w woj. warmińsko-mazurskim, dotyczących barier i szans edukacyjnych młodzieży gimnazjalnej z terenów popegeerowskich. Konieczne jest określenie systemowych rozwiązań problemów środowisk popegeerowskich, bowiem ludzie zamieszkujący tereny po byłych PGR nie są w stanie samodzielnie zaradzić sytuacji, w której się znaleźli. Problemem pozostającym do tej pory bez rozwiązania jest wyrównywanie szans kształcenia dzieci i młodzieży, pochodzących ze środowisk popegeerowskich. Umożliwienie podwyższenia poziomu wykształcenia młodzieży pochodzącej ze wsi, a szczególnie z obszarów po byłych PGR, jest warunkiem koniecznym, aby ta grupa mogła w przyszłości skorzystać, w większym stopniu niż obecnie, z pozytywnych skutków transformacji gospodarczo-ustrojowej i integracji z Unią Europejską.

In the school year 2010/2011 "Education the key to success" - secondary schools development program in the city of Opole has been carried out in six secondary schools in the Opole Region. Its main goal was to align educational chances among students of the secondary schools, spread out in the city, and to increase the quality of educational process in such schools. The article presents main assumptions of the project and further stages of the students development. The object of special interest is the analysis to what extent the form of the project and employment of certain modules affect the aptitudes of the youth, development of their skills, abilities and talents.

Aim: This paper aims to highlight the different forms, levels and pathways of engagement with climate change and sustainability of young people living in different contexts of vulnerability and adaptability. It explores different perspectives and viewpoints of youth regarding complex and uncertain issues related to climate change and sustainability as well as their future role on the workplace. Research Methods: The critical interpretivist study was conducted in the Netherlands and South Africa, and participants were undergraduate and postgraduate university students from diverse socio-demographic and academic backgrounds in the two countries. The study applied various methods of data collection including focus groups, interviews, policy document reviews as well as participant-observation at several youth and environmental events and forums. Conclusions/Findings: Key findings highlight the importance of building resilience and empowering academic and civic platforms that enhance young people's competences to manage sustainability-oriented lifestyles and workplaces through critical, creative, and collaborative processes.

It is obvious that broad world view provided by education can douse tension, discrimination, reduce hate speech and minimize aggression. Education is a weapon of mass instruction and has been powerful enough to push ignorance to the background. More so, it has become a prime function of education to illuminate the world with ideas and in its nature to unite the world through inventions and technological developments. Arguably, education has also introduced strange norms and vices especially among youth circles. But, because habits are hard to modify, the onus falls on the theatre that thrives on burlesques, parody, polar attitudes and modification of character to use the stage effectively for correction and preservation. Methodically, this paper x-rays selected theatre performances that have tried to reduce ethnic conflicts in Nigeria using the Fundamental Interpersonal Relations Orientation (FIRO) as theoretical backings. Through role playing on stage and in the classroom, the paper redirects the attention of the youth and government towards reorientation and sustainable values. The findings reveal that theatre has the capacity to influence minds and can engineer behavioral change which by extension ensures peaceful co-existence and sustainable developments. Thus, the paper recommends that History, Culture and Youth Education be incorporated in the secondary school curriculum. Also, if theatre performances with topical themes are sponsored for the benefit of the youths, it will increase tolerance. The research concludes that performing youth education in the classroom, at grass root level and public spaces will subtly promote nation building and integration.

Aim. The research aim of this article is to explore academic youth’s education process and career in the UK. The research focuses on Lithuanian students from three prestigious British universities. Methods. The study revealed three questions: the reasons of students choises to study in prestigious higher schools of the UK, students’ satisfaction in terms of their education process; their placement in the labor market, or academic/business career. To answer the research questions qualitative research was conducted by using structured, partly-structured in-depth interviews, the questionnaire forms, discussions, and observation methods. Results. The analysis of the empirical research data revealed that the determining factor of students’ choices was the high quality of the studies and international work perspectives after graduation as well as the rating of the universities and the recommendations of senior fellow students, progressive learning and living environment. Furthermore, they had the possibility to become part of the international social web. The results of the survey indicate that students give more value to individualism emphasizing achievement, critical thinking, high level of education. They also appreciate the possibilities to apply knowledge in real-world setings, also to the career in international business or academic field, which is garanteed by most reputable universities. In such evironment students are encouraged to be responsible actors and to create a more sustainable world (UNESCO (ESD), 2017). Cognitive value. With the help of a case study of education in the UK, the paper reveals the sustainable education perspectives.

Knowledge and understanding of basic economic concepts is the basis for the future orientation of young people in the world of economy and influences taken in this sphere behavior. Nowadays, children earlier and earlier take activity in economy, thus the role of economic knowledge increases. The article records the results of research on economic knowledge concerning basic concepts and on the understanding of market mechanisms by Polish pupils as well as presents the institutional form of economic education in Poland. The conducted research show that young people in Poland have insufficient economic knowledge. Forms of economic education of pupils conducted by the Polish National Bank and other commercial banks as well as The Children University of Economic and The University of Young Economist are also discussed.

Artykuł dotyczy zainteresowań młodzieży nieprzystosowanej społecznie. Zaprezentowano m.in. cechy społeczno- demograficzne wychowanków placówki resocjalizacyjnej. Zrealizowano badania w celu ustalenia różnic pomiędzy młodzieżą nieprzystosowaną społecznie a młodzieżą niemającą konfliktu z prawem w zakresie liczby posiadanych zainteresowań, ich rodzaju i zaangażowania w realizacje. Ustalono, że wśród badanych chłopców z Młodzieżowego Ośrodka Wychowawczego występuje duże zainteresowanie zawodami rzemieślniczymi taki jak: np. mechanik samochodowy, elektryk, piekarz, robotnik budowlany, stolarz. Ponadto wyniki badań ujawniły preferencje chłopców nieprzystosowanych społecznie do wykonywania w przyszłości m.in. zawodu nauczyciela, pracownika socjalnego czy wychowawcy.
The article concerns the interests of socially maladjusted youth. Among others the social and demographic features of the pupils of the social rehabilitation facility were presented. Research was carried out to determine the differences between socially maladjusted youth and young people who do not conflict with the law in terms of the number of interests held, their type and commitment to implementation. It was established that among the surveyed boys from the Youth Educational Centre there is a great interest in craft professions such as: car mechanic, electrician, baker, construction worker, carpenter. In addition, the results of the research revealed the preferences of boys not socially adapted to perform in the future, among other things, the profession of teacher, social worker or educator.

Niejednokrotnie osoby odpowiedzialne za przewóz towarów lekceważą limit nałożony na dopuszczalną masę całkowitą pojazdu, dążąc do maksymalizacji zysków. Należy jednak pamiętać o kosztach napraw pojazdów uszkodzonych na jezdniach zniszczonych przez przeciążone ciężarówki oraz, w szczególności, o ogromnych kosztach ponoszonych przez podatników w celu ochrony środowiska naturalnego. Kluczową kwestią staje się edukacja młodych osób.
Often people responsible for the transport of products disregard the limit imposed on the permissible laden mass of the vehicle, seeking to maximize profits. However, they should be aware of the costs of repairing vehicles after using roads damaged by overloaded trucks and, in particular, of the huge costs incurred by taxpayers in order to protect the environment. It becomes crucial to educate young people.

Young people difficulties on the labour market, in education and training have contributed to the introduction of an additional indicator characterizing the activity in the economy. Scientist and practitioners have developed a NEET indicator , which determines the population of young people who are unemployed, do not participate in formal education and training. This article will attempt to define this category in the narrow and broad sense and appearing in the conceptualization process research problems. According to Eurostat data NEET category will be used to diagnose the situation of young people in the transformed european countries. This issue is very important because the potential results of inactivity in the initial period of activity cause a lot of negative consequences in the long time, both in terms of micro and macro, which is confirmed by numerous scientific studies.

In the paper an example of computer assistance in teaching in the field of technical culture education as a part of the technical classes is presented. The program is addressed to classes IV–VI of the elementary school, however, it is obvious that in the realities of our country it is also necessary for educating adult traffic participants. Program proposed in this material is an answer to the identified problem connected with the overloaded lorries. The social importance of the touched subject is significant, due to the commonness of such phenomenon, as well as the high social costs associated with the necessity of the road infrastructure restitution.

Uczelnie, oprócz umożliwiania zdobycia wiedzy i kompetencji niezbędnych do wykonywania zawodu, powinny także wspierać kształtowanie szeroko pojętych postaw obywatelskich wśród studentów. Jednym z narzędzi możliwych do wykorzystania w tym celu są uczelniane budżety partycypacyjne (BP). Celem prezentowanych badań była diagnoza stopnia i zakresu ich wykorzystania przez uczelnie publiczne w Polsce, ze szczególnym uwzględnieniem kontekstu pełnienia przez BP funkcji edukowania młodych obywateli (studentów). Badania ukierunkowane były na wypełnienie luki badawczej, którą stanowił brak wiedzy na temat skali, znaczenia oraz możliwych wymiarów edukacyjnych BP wdrażanych na uczelniach publicznych. Przeprowadzono analizę wykorzystania BP na wszystkich 92 uczelniach publicznych nadzorowanych przez ministra właściwego do spraw szkolnictwa wyższego (do 2023 roku). Badaniu, z wykorzystaniem metody desk research, poddano dostępne na stronach internetowych uczelni dokumenty dotyczące BP. Zidentyfikowano 19 uczelni wdrażających procesy spełniające kryteria implementacji BP, z których 17 dedykuje BP studentom. Cele edukacyjne BP nie są bezpośrednio wskazywane przez uczelnie, jednak w badaniach zidentyfikowano wiele działań, które mogą zapewnić osiąganie zróżnicowanych efektów edukacyjnych na poszczególnych etapach realizacji procesu BP. Jako główne obszary edukacyjne wskazano edukację ekonomiczną, kształtowanie umiejętności wynikających z deliberacyjnego charakteru BP, budowanie poczucia współodpowiedzialności za dobro wspólne, wzrost wiedzy o potrzebach społeczności lokalnej i umiejętności diagnozowania jej problemów oraz kształtowanie i wzmacnianie zaangażowania obywatelskiego.
In addition to enabling students to acquire the knowledge and competencies necessary for their professions, higher education institutions should also support the formation of broad civic attitudes among students. University participatory budgets (PB) are an example of a tool for reaching this goal. The purpose of the presented research was to analyse the degree and scope of their use by public universities in Poland, with particular focus on the context in which PBs educate young citizens. The aim of the study was to fill the research gap regarding the lack of knowledge about the scale, importance and potential educational dimensions of PB implemented at public universities, by means of analysing the use of PBs at all 92 public universities. To this end, the budget regulations, orders, informational material and other documents available on the universities' websites regarding participatory budgets were studied, which enabled the identification of 19 universities that implement processes meeting PB criteria, and 17 of including students in the process. Analysis of the data showed significant variation in terms of the scale, scope and stakeholders involved in BP processes, and although it should be noted that the educational goals are not directly indicated by universities, a number of activities were identified in the research that could ensure the achievement of differentiated educational outcomes at different stages of the PB process.

Zwrócono uwagę na duże znaczenie Krajowego Programu Zapobiegania Zakażeniom HIV, Opieki na Zarażonymi z HIV i Chorymi na AIDS oraz na potrzebę specjalistycznych, długofalowych programów w celu zmniejszenia omawianego zjawiska i zwiększenia świadomości opinii publicznej w zakresie znaczenia i wagi problemów związanych z powyższymi zagadnieniami.
The article is regarding selected aspects of issues of poisoning the HIV virus and illness AIDS with reference to young people as the group of the particular risk. Statistical data are included in it in relation to the discussed issue and the evolution of the discussed occurrence in the course of years. Portrayed causes of the HIV virus and AIDS, as well as the need of preventive, information and educational action stayed for the wide scale. They paid attention to the great significance of the national programme of preventing Infection with the HIV, Cares on infected with the HIV and sick persons to AIDS and to the need of specialist, long-term programs to the purpose of reducing of the discussed occurrence and increase awarenessing the public opinion in meaning and the importance of connected problems with above issues.

The article presents issues concerning the axiological aspect of upbringing, it is also a search for the answers to the question: How to raise a young man so that he could move in the axiological space, and could discover, create and accept the values during a search of his place in the world? I believe that in order to raise a young man, so he would live according to the universal values, it should be ensured that he would be able to learn the objective recognition and respect the values, that he would be able to arouse his interest in a valuable living. In this article, I note that axiological dimension of human activity is refocusing on the “lower” values (hedonistic, utilitarian, vital, prestige). The dimension of moral values is weakening (courage, justice, goodness), positive values penetrate each other with negative values. What matters is the individualization, responsibility for oneself, people lean toward material values, which replaced the values of the spiritual dimension. The dialogue between a young man and educators, teachers and parents is necessary in order to build among young people axiological structure of internal development, although it is difficult to compete with hedonistic values, when the consumer dimension of life becomes widespread. In this dialogue – referring to the aspects of personality and humanistic psychology and also using the elements of existential psychology – maybe it will be easier to convince young people to treat the world of consumption critically. It is not about complete cancellation of the benefits of the modern world, but about learning to recognize its dangers and how to cleverly move in it.
Artykuł ukazuje problematykę dotyczącą aksjologicznego aspektu wychowania, jest poszukiwaniem odpowiedzi na pytanie: Jak wychowywać młodego człowieka, by potrafił poruszać się w przestrzeni aksjologicznej, umiał odkrywać, tworzyć, akceptować wartości w poszukiwaniu swojego miejsca w świecie? Uważam, że aby wychować młodego człowieka, tak by żył zgodnie z wartościami uniwersalnymi, należy zadbać o to, by potrafił uczyć się obiektywnego poznawania i respektowania wartości, rozbudzał w sobie zainteresowanie życiem wartościowym. W artykule podkreślono, że aksjologiczny wymiar aktywności człowieka ulega przekierunkowaniu na wartości niższe (hedonistyczne, utylitarne, witalne, prestiżowe). Słabnie wymiar wartości moralnych (męstwo, sprawiedliwość, dobroć), zaś wartości pozytywne przenikają się wzajemnie z negatywnymi. Liczy się indywidualizacja, odpowiedzialność za samego siebie, ludzie skłaniają się ku wartościom materialnym, które wyparły wartości o wymiarze duchowym. Dialog między młodym człowiekiem a wychowawcami, nauczycielami i rodzicami jest konieczny, by móc budować u młodych aksjologiczną strukturę rozwoju wewnętrznego, choć trudno jest konkurować z wartościami hedonistycznymi, gdy konsumpcyjny wymiar życia staje się powszechny. W tym dialogu – odwołując się do aspektów personalizmu i psychologii humanistycznej oraz wykorzystując elementy psychologii egzystencjalnej – być może łatwiej będzie przekonać młodych, aby krytycznie odnosili się do świata konsumpcji. Nie chodzi tu o całkowitą rezygnację z dobrodziejstw współczesnego świata, ale o nauczenie się rozpoznawania w nim zagrożeń i umiejętnego poruszania się w nim.
