To sum up present considerations, it should be stated that the homiletic message of the Primate of Poland Stefan Wyszyński is clear and unabiguous. His communicative and language competences were the basis for the accurate and comprehensible presentation of citizens’ obligations to the state. In the context of entirety of the Primate’s of Poland message, the renewal of the state community also requires a renewal of personal and social life. Therefore, at this moment – as the Cardinal noted on December 10, 1980 – „the blessed hour of examination of conscience has come to our Homeland... Everyone should do an examination of his or her conscience, asking oneself what are the reasons of such drama experienced by our contemporary Homeland"

The following article presents organist Stanisław Wyszyński. He worked in several parishes on the border of Mazowsze and Podlasie in the first half of the twentieth century. He knew how to combine work and family life. He was also an exemplary Catholic. Stefan Wyszyński, later Primate of the Poland, was born to that family. The article includes biographical information about Primate’s family. His father was always proud of his son, who held the highest office of the church. Stanisław often visited his son, and at the end of his life he lived with him in the archbishop's palace. The article also shows relations between father and son, which were particularly highlighted in correspondence during the time of imprisonment of Primate Wyszyński. In addition, Stanisław Wyszyński’s illness and death were described in detail. Finally, the paper mentions television productions in which he appeared.

Cardinal Stefan Wyszyński portrays Virgin Mary as an example of a human being revived in Christ. It is a very specific example, which can be followed in the monastic life, in priesthood and in a family. Virgin Mary shows us the significance of a woman. She indicates how a woman may enrich the contemporary social life. Above all, however, she reminds us about the value of motherhood. She reveals the sense of human freedom. She teaches us how to love God with all one’s heart and how to serve brothers in a concrete and gentle manner. She shows us unity and the harmony of body and soul, the importance of a human body in God’s plan of salvation. The Marian piety favours the affective maturity of a human being, the gentleness and sensitivity towards others, the ability to combine emotions and re-ason in a mature way. It is in Virgin Mary that the author notices the sign of hope, particularly important for the human being of the twentieth century, devastated by the tragedy of war, and for a despairing sinner. Virgin Mary helps people discover the dignity of the child of God. She shows us the value of our everyday efforts. She reveals the future glory of the redeemed humanity.

Celem artykułu było przedstawienie refleksji kardynała S. Wyszyńskiego na temat systemu komunistycznego w ZSRR, bowiem skutecznie demaskował rzeczywistość socjalistyczno-komunistyczną tego totalitarnego ustroju. W związku z tym ukazano najważniejsze publikacje dotyczące socjalizmu i komunizmu. Następnie przedstawiono ocenę tego systemu władzy, która w opinii Prymasa była zagrożeniem dla cywilizacji zbudowanej na fundamentach chrześcijańskich. Kolejno ukazano, że w trudnych latach przymusowej i powszechnej ateizacji przeprowadzanej brutalnie w ZSRR polski kardynał heroicznie wspierał tam Kościół, utrzymywał kontakty ze świeckimi i duchownymi, a nawet udzielał święceń kapłańskich i biskupich. Wśród duchownych działających w ZSRR, przeważnie w tajemnicy, był uważany i darzony wielkim szacunkiem jako ich Głowa Kościoła.
The aim of the article was to present the reflection of Cardinal S. Wyszyński on the subject of the communist system in the USSR, because he effectively exposed the socialist and communist reality of this totalitarian system. In this connection, the most important publications on socialism and communism were shown. Then an assessment of this system of power was presented, which in the Primate’s opinion was a threat to the civilization built on Christian foundations. It was later shown that in difficult years of forced and widespread atheization carried out brutally in the USSR, the Polish Cardinal heroically supported the Church there, kept in touch with the laity and the clergy and even he was ordained the priests and bishop. Among the clerics working in the USSR, mostly in secrecy, he was considered and respected as their Head of the Church.

For Primate Stefan Wyszyński, the past of the nation was an important element creating the identity of the nation, on whose behaviour its future depended. Maintaining the memory of the history of the nation, which, in the primate’s thought, was constituted when Mieszko I was baptised in 966, was one of the priorities of Cardinal Stefan Wyszyński’s teaching. For this reason, it was also a part of the world-view dispute between the Primate and the communist authorities of postwar Poland, whose aim was to erase many pages of history from national memory or to give them a different meaning as a condition for creating a „new” society based on the Soviet model. In the evaluation of the past, falsified in the People’s Republic of Poland, the Primate used „his own domestic and national sense” and „proper evaluation of the spirit”. The theological perspective allowed the Primate to look at the painful and tragic pages of history, including the lost national uprisings, as a sacrifice modelled on the sacrifice of Christ, necessary for the resurrection of Poland. According to Primate Wyszyński, the history of the nation was a reservoir of values, co-shaped by faith and the Church, from which future generations could draw in the struggle to regain independence in 1918 and regain sovereignty.

The paper describes the language and stylistic features of Stefan Wyszyński ’s pastorał let- ters, resulting from the communicative roles which were taken by the Primate of Poland. These were the roles of bishop, father, shepherd or prophet, which on the one hand expressed the superior position of the speaker and on the other hand his caring attitude to- wards his addressees. The roles determined an emotional character of persuasive strate- gies as well as the use of the means of high style.

The paper presents Cardinal Stefan Wyszynski’s selected views on the state. In his opinion, the state reality is family, society, nation, territory, power as well as cultural and economic sovereignty. State authorities should perform a service function with regard to society, acting for the common good and protecting the rights and freedoms of a man and a citizen. The limits of the raison d’etat must be set with the good of a man in mind and cannot be violated by state authorities.
W artykule przedstawiono poglądy Kardynała Stefana Wyszyńskiego na państwo. W jego opinii rzeczywistość państwowa to rodzina, społeczeństwo, naród, terytorium, władza oraz suwerenność kulturalna i ekonomiczna. Władze państwowe pełnić powinny funkcję służebną względem społeczeństwa, działając dla dobra wspólnego i chroniąc prawa oraz wolności człowieka i obywatela. Granice racji stanu wyznaczone muszą być natomiast dobrem człowieka, którego władze państwowe nie mogą dla niej naruszać.

The text comprehensively introduces the approach of Cardinal Stefan Wyszyński to the social and political reality of the Polish People's Republic in 1968. Three planes of Primate's activity were discussed: social teaching, his attitude towards political events and the most important problems of the state-Church relations. The analysis was based on primary sources in the form of the hierarch's statements: in public, during Episcopal sessions and on the pages of his diary Pro memoria.

In the article, the author dealt with the teaching of Bl. Primate Stefan Wyszyński on the apostolate of women. In the first part, he presented the tasks and mission of women in the Church and society, and in the second one, their baptismal vocation to the apostolate. He included a summary of the presented content in the conclusion. The author developed the issue by analyzing, on the one hand, the public statements of the Blessed Primate regarding women and the apostolate, and on the other hand, his teaching addressed to the members of the Secular Institute of Helpers of Mary of Jasna Góra, Mother of the Church, commonly known as the ‘Eights’. The article shows, among others, that Blessed Stefan identified the vocation of women to the apostolate with the vocation of men, however, he pointed to its specificity resulting from the conditions of the woman’s nature and her tasks in the Church and society.
W artykule autor zajął się nauczaniem bł. prymasa Stefana Wyszyńskiego dotyczącym apostolatu kobiet. W pierwszej części przedstawił zadania i misję kobiety w Kościele i społeczeństwie, a w drugiej jej chrzcielne powołanie do apostolstwa. Podsumowanie prezentowanych treści zamieścił w zakończeniu. Autor opracował zagadnienie, analizując z jednej strony publiczne wypowiedzi błogosławionego prymasa dotyczące kobiet oraz apostolstwa, a z drugiej jego nauczanie skierowane do członkiń Instytutu Świeckiego Pomocnic Maryi Jasnogórskiej Matki Kościoła, zwanych popularnie „Ósemkami". W artykule wykazano m.in., że  bł. Stefan utożsamiał powołanie kobiet do apostolstwa z powołaniem mężczyzn, jednakże wskazywał na jego specyfikę wynikającą z uwarunkowań natury kobiety oraz jej zadań w Kościele i społeczeństwie.

Autor artykułu był inspirowany przez refleksją prymasa Stefana Wyszyńskiego dotyczącą tożsamości i misji kapłana, które zawarł w „Listach do moich kapłanów”. Książka podejmuje szereg tematów zintegrowanych przez troskę o jedność kapłanów w służbie kościelnej komunii. Dar nadprzyrodzonej mocy występującej w komunii z Bogiem w Kościele pozwala tym, którzy wierzą w Chrystusa na ukształtowanie nowych relacje braterskich, co czyni ich prawdziwą Bożą rodziną. Osobista więź z Bogiem, relacji z biskupem zwyczajnym, innych kapłanów i świeckich są podstawą wymiary, w której księża mają pojawić się jako świadkowie i słudzy komunii.
The author of the article was inspired by the reflections of Primate Stefan Wyszyński on the identity and mission of the presbyter collected in A Letter to my Priests. The book takes up a range of themes integrated by an obvious concern for the unity of priests in the service of ecclesial communion. For the Primate of the Millennium man's social nature clearly confirms the truth about man's calling to live in community, not just the temporal one, but the supernatural one as well. This natural capacity to enter into relations with others, in order to be understood correctly, must be interpreted in the light of Divine Revelation. A rich inner life allows one to contemplate the mystery of the Holy Trinity and perceive it as a source of ecclesial and interpersonal communion. The gift of supernatural power inherent in communion with God in the Church enables those who believe in Christ to forge new fraternal relations, making them a true family of God. This process occurs thanks to priestly ministry, so presbyters are especially called to illuminate their mutual relations with this new style of community life. A personal bond with God, relation with the bishop ordinary, other presbyters and the lay faithful are the basic dimensions in which priests are to appear as the witnesses and servants of communion.

W Polsce, po 1989 roku, nowa sytuacja polityczno-społeczna przyniosła wyzwania wymagające refleksji oraz podjęcia przez Kościół nowych działań. Oprócz pozytywnych skutków transformacji, uzyskania wolności i swobód demokratycznych, równolegle pojawiły się zjawiska destrukcyjne oraz demoralizujące, których negatywne skutki dotknęły przede wszystkim rodzinę – fundament każdego społeczeństwa i narodu. Opis planów pastoralnych, dotyczących małżeństw i rodzin, zawartych w dokumentach Kościoła w Polsce, ukazuje troskę oraz zakres pracy i starań w tym obszarze. Nauczanie Stefana kard. Wyszyńskiego na temat małżeństwa i rodziny jest ważnym punktem odniesienia. Przesłanie skierowane do rodzin i wszystkich głoszących Ewangelię pozostaje aktualne i niezmienne w swym celu, zakłada większą specjalizację oraz złożoność edukacji i oddziaływań pastoralnych. Kościół ukazuje niezmiennie prawidłowy model rodziny oraz przypomina o jej fundamentalnej wartości.
The new political and social situation after 1989 in Poland brought challenges requiring reflection and action by the Church. Apart from the positive effects of the transformation, gaining freedom and democratic freedoms, there appeared at the same time destructive and demoralising phenomena. Negative effects have primarily affected the family - the foundation of every society and nation. The description of pastoral plans concerning marriages and families contained in the documents of the Church in Poland shows the care and scope of efforts in this area. The teaching of Stefan Cardinal Wyszyński on marriage and family is an important point of reference. The message addressed to families and to all preachers of the gospel remains valid and unchanged in its purpose, assumes greater specialization and complexity of education and pastoral actions. The Church invariably points to a correct conception of the family and reminds us of its fundamental value.

Prymas Polski kard. Stefan Wyszyński troszcząc się o Ziemie Zachodnie i Północne był inspiratorem i protektorem rozwoju życia religijnego na Pomorzu Zachodnim. Długoletnie zabiegi oraz starania kard. Wyszyńskiego w Stolicy Apostolskiej zostały uwieńczone sukcesem, bowiem w 1972 r. obok innych diecezji polskich na Ziemiach Zachodnich i Północnych powstały diecezje: gorzowska, szczecińsko-kamieńska i obejmująca Pomorze Środkowe oraz na-wiązująca do tradycji dawnego biskupstwa kołobrzeskiego diecezja koszalińsko-kołobrzeska z siedzibą w Koszalinie. Włączono ją w granice metropolii gnieźnieńskiej. Prymas Polski dwukrotnie odwiedził Koszalin, Kołobrzeg oraz Słupsk głosząc kazania, które nacechowane były zachętą do zachowania wiary i wierności Kościołowi katolickiemu oraz chrześcijańskim tradycjom narodu polskiego.
Poland’s Primate Cardinal. Stefan Wyszynski caring for the western and northern areas was the initiator and protector of the development of religious life in Western Pomerania. Cardinal Wyszynski’s long-term endeavours and efforts in the Holy See were indeed successful, as in 1972, along with other Polish dioceses in the western and northern dioceses the following ones were created: Gorzów, Szczecin-Kamiensk, another one covering Central Pomerania and the Diocese of Koszalin-Kolobrzeg, based in Koszalin, which referred to the tradition of the former bishopric of Kolobrzeg. This was included in the boundaries of the Gniezno metropolis. The primate of Poland visited Koszalin, Kolobrzeg, and Slupsk twice. During his trips, he preached, sparing no efforts to encourage people to keep the faith and fidelity to the Catholic Church and the Christian traditions of the Polish nation.

Opis:
In his teaching, apart from many other issues, Cardinal Wyszyński pointed out to the tasks facet by Poland in the new millennium, basing on the entire history of the nation and on its relationship with Triune God, Mary and Church. These facts have an effect that the nation, as a community of free citizens, and a family of the families, may fully realise its existence, vocation and mission. Therefore, the duty of the nation and the state is to take the following tasks: faithfulness to God, Cross and Gospel, being united with the Church that leads the nation into the supernatural and onto a higher level of earthly life , care over people and families, love of the Motherland - understood broadly as care over the land, culture, history and love of the motherland that shall be loved as second after God. Caring over an order in personal and social life, facing threats, weaknesses and sin and being led by the teaching of the Gospel and of the Vatican II in building a new order. If Poland bases its future on these values, as was the case for over a thousand years starting from the baptism of Poland, we will be able to look at the future with hope.
