Opis:
Celem artykułu jest przedstawienie możliwości, które współczesna szkoła polska oferuje uczniom uzdolnionym plastycznie, w szczególności na etapach przedszkolnym i wczesnoszkolnym. Artykuł odnosi się do znaczenia pracy z dzieckiem uzdolnionym plastycznie oraz do stanu prawnego i faktycznego pracy z takim dzieckiem w świetle zmian przepisów prawa oświatowego w Polsce w ustawie Karta Nauczyciela. W tym kontekście opisane zostały rozwiązania w pracy z dzieckiem uzdolnionym plastycznie w wybranych placówkach oświatowych, a także realne możliwości placówek w tym zakresie. Zgodnie z obowiązującym prawem państwo jest zobowiązane wspierać takich uczniów, jednak z powodu przede wszystkim barier finansowych nakładanych m.in. przez samorządy, wsparcie takie w wielu przypadkach staje się fikcją. Osobne miejsce zajmuje opis pracy z dziećmi uchodźców z Ukrainy, które po wybuchu wojny podjęły naukę w polskich szkołach. W artykule przedstawiono także wybrane rozwiązania wspierające ucznia uzdolnionego plastycznie – konkursy plastyczne, idee korelacji między przedmiotowej STEAM, plenery malarskie czy warsztaty sztuki ludowej. Na koniec opisano kreatywne rozwiązania w pracy z dzieckiem uzdolniony plastycznie na etapie przedszkolnym wykorzystywane na Uniwersytecie w Debreczynie, a także autorskie spostrzeżenia dotyczące metody i formy pracy z takim dzieckiem w Polsce.
The purpose of the article is the presentation of a possibilities which contemporary polish school offers to art gifted children especially in order to kindergarten and early education level. The article refers to importance of the work with art talented child and a legal status and the actual state of a work with child in order to changes in the educational law in Poland in the act “The Teacher’s Charter”. In this context there were described some solutions of a work with art talented child at chosen educational institutions and their real possibilities in this area. According to the applicable law the State is required to support such students. However for some reasons primarily financial barriers implemented by the Local Governments, such support becomes a fiction. Separate place of the article is devoted to the description of the work with children of refuges from Ukraine, which started their education at Polish schools, after the war broke out. In the article is also description of a chosen solutions, which support art talented child – art competitions, idea of interdisciplinary corelation STE AM, open-air paintings or workshops of the folk art. At the and there is a description of some creative solutions at work with art talented child in kindergarten and early education level implemented in the University of Debrecen, and also the author’s observations concerning the methods and forms of working with such a child in Poland.

Celem artykułu jest analiza doświadczeń zgromadzonych podczas polsko-japońskich warsztatów architektonicznych zrealizowanych na studiach Master of Architecture prowadzonych na Wydziale Architektury i Sztuk Pięknych Krakowskiej Akademii im. Andrzeja Frycza Modrzewskiego z udziałem biura Kengo Kumy z Tokio. Tematem warsztatów było twórcze wykorzystanie złącz ciesielskich charakterystycznych dla tradycyjnego budownictwa Podhala i Orawy. Ich rezultaty w formie instalacji przestrzennej Chmura – The Cloud oraz prezentacji prac studenckich zostały pokazane na wystawie „Kengo Kuma. Eksperyment. Materiał. Architektura” w Muzeum Sztuki i Techniki Japońskiej Manggha, która została otwarta 15 grudnia 2021 r. Wyzwania związane z ograniczeniem mobilności uczestników i koniecznością przeprowadzenia zasadniczej części warsztatów w formie zdalnej zostały przeanalizowane z dwóch perspektyw: doświadczeń osób prowadzących warsztaty i wniosków zebranych z analizy najnowszej literatury dotyczącej nauczania projektowania architektonicznego w czasie pandemii. Rozważania te prowadzą do wniosku, że bezpośredni, osobisty kontakt jest nadal najbardziej efektywnym i satysfakcjonującym sposobem nauczania projektowania architektonicznego.
The aim of the article is to analyze the experiences gathered during the Polish-Japanese architectural workshop carried out at the Master of Architecture studies at the Faculty of Architecture and Fine Arts of the Andrzej Frycz Modrzewski Krakow University with the participation of Kengo Kuma’s office from Tokyo. The creative use of carpentry joints characteristic of the traditional construction of Podhale and Orawa was the topic of the workshop. Its result in the form of the spatial installation called Chmura – The Cloud and the presentation of student works were shown at the exhibition „Kengo Kuma. Experiment. Material. Architecture” at the Manggha Museum of Japanese Art and Technology, which was opened on December 15, 2021. The challenges related to limiting the mobility of the workshop participants and the need to conduct the main part of the workshop in the online form were analyzed from two perspectives: the experiences of the workshop leaders and the conclusions gathered from the analysis of the latest literature on teaching architectural design during a pandemic. These considerations lead to the conclusion that direct, personal contact is still the most effective and satisfying way of teaching architectural design.

Abstract: Study programmes in economics and management should be more focused on developing students’ critical thinking skills and the capabilities to solve practical problems. Case method is admittedly one of the best techniques to accomplish these goals. Thus, disseminating the benefits of case method in academic teaching as well as supporting case writing among scholars is of great importance. Despite the many proven benefits of the case method and the growing use of cases in teaching management and economics, it seems that the writing of cases is undertaken by not so many academics. There is evidence of the lack of support at smaller schools to potential case writers from administrators, in terms of motivation, recognition, training, time, and funding, and on the other hand, there is little awareness among faculty about international scholarships, available peer-reviewed publishing opportunities for cases, and peer support via international case conferences. This paper attempts to fill in the existing information gap and offer helpful guidance to faculty and school administrators. Aim: The aim of this paper is to support the development of case writing in the management and economics subjects by faculty of smaller universities where typically the local peer support is limited or non-existent, while the value of such academic research activity may be underestimated by school deans. The paper offers practical guidance on how to get international support while developing teaching cases. Design / Research methods: This paper is a policy analysis type of research. It is based on secondary sources as well as primary sources such as personal observations and experience of the author who has been teaching finance and business since 1995, has published the first case in 2015, has authored 10+ cases by early 2022, has received 3 international case writing awards, and has been elected to the Board of NACRA, the leading case research association in the U.S. Conclusions / findings: The use of case method in teaching management and economics has multiple benefits, including its virtuous role in school accreditations and industry-academia collaboration, as well as its powerful boost to the professional development of faculty. Faculty involvement however will remain limited unless the school deans and the accrediting bodies apply proper motivation to support academic case writing. The paper lists specific policy recommendations for promoting case research and case writing, which are feasible to implement in small universities with a limited budget. Originality / value of the article: There are currently no papers that present such an overview of the current academic case writing scene, case conferences, funding, peer-reviewed case publication opportunities, as prepared by the author based on the personal experience as finance professor and case writer. It is a unique and valuable practical guidance for faculty members who are looking to get involved in case writing or for deans who are thinking of feasible measures to promote case writing and case research by tapping into the existing global resources and opportunities. W opracowaniu przedstawiono w jaki sposób fabularne gry scenariuszowe mogą zostać wykorzystane jako efektywna forma przekazywania wiedzy. Badanie poprzedzono kwerendą literatury. Artykuł opisuje przebieg prac, których efektem było utworzenie komputerowej gry edukacyjnej wykorzystującej koncepcję oraz narzędzia zwinnego zarządzania. Proponowany model grywalizacji procesu edukacji powstał w wyniku analizy studium przypadku projektu TY Classes Polskiego Stowarzyszenia Menadżerów Logistyki. Celem publikacji jest wypełnienie luki badawczej w procesie grywalizacji oraz zdobywania wiedzy. Efekty pracy są wynikiem identyfikacji dobrych praktyk realizowanych przez organizację oraz działań przetestowanych w warunkach rynkowych. Dzięki przeprowadzeniu cyklu spotkań wśród uczniów szkół ponadpodstawowych oraz studentów kierunków powiązanych z łańcuchem dostaw, udało się zidentyfikować luki kompetencyjne w zakresie zarządzania przedsiębiorstwem. Wynikiem tej pracy jest gra, w której zadaniem uczestnika jest tworzenie produktów spożywczych dla konsumentów. W trakcie rozgrywki gracz powinien wykorzystać koncepcję lean management, dzięki czemu będzie mógł uzyskać lepszy wynik i przejść do kolejnego etapu gry. Stworzono narzędzie, będące przede wszystkim połączeniem nauki i rozrywki, pomagające zdobyć wiedzę i nabyć umiejętności, które są bardzo atrakcyjne dla młodzieży.
The study presents how role-playing scenario games can be used as an effective form of knowledge transfer. A literature search preceded the study. The article describes the course of work that resulted in creating an educational computer game using the concept and tools of lean management. The proposed model of gamification of the educational process was created as a result of the analysis of the case study of the TY Classes project by the Polish Supply Management Leaders. The publication aims to fill the research gap in gamification and knowledge acquisition. The effects of the work are the result of identifying good practices implemented by the organization and activities tested in market conditions. By conducting a series of meetings among secondary school students and students of faculties related to the supply chain, it was possible to identify competence gaps in business management. The result of this work is a game in which the participant's task is to create food products for consumers. During the game, the player should use the concept of lean management, thanks to which he will be able to obtain a better score and move to the next stage of the game. A tool has been created that is, above all, a combination of learning and entertainment, helping to acquire knowledge and gain skills that are very attractive to young people.

Celem artykułu jest analiza przebiegu i ocena rezultatów działań w ramach warsztatów projektowych przeprowadzonych wiosną 2020 r., w czasie pandemii Covid-19, ze studentami Wydziału Architektury Krakowskiej Akademii im. Andrzeja Frycza Modrzewskiego oraz Katedry Architektury na Wydziale Inżynierii i Projektowania Uniwersytetu Hosei w Tokio. Tematem warsztatów było badanie pojęcia mieszkalnictwa publicznego w XXI w. na przykładzie osiedla Nishi-Yamato Danchi zbudowanego w Tokio w latach 1960–1970. W badaniu wykorzystano materiały zebrane przez autora – uczestnika i obserwatora warsztatów. Wyniki badań potwierdzają możliwości praktycznego wykorzystania ogólnodostępnych zasobów wizualizacji powierzchni ziemi, uzyskanych dzięki teledetekcji lotniczej i satelitarnej, oraz efektywnego komunikowania się przez Internet w czasie działalności dydaktycznej. Międzynarodowe warsztaty projektowe poszerzyły wiedzę uczestników na temat architektury mieszkaniowej, skłoniły do poprawy jakości kształcenia studentów, były także źródłem tematów badawczych np. dotyczących architektury transkulturowej.
The aim of the article is to analyze the course and evaluate the results of activities as part of the design workshops of the design studio conducted in spring 2020, during the Covid-19 pandemic, with students of the Faculty of Architecture at the Andrzej Frycz Modrzewski Krakow University and the Department of Architecture at the Faculty of Engineering and Design of the Hosei University in Tokyo. The topic of the workshop was to study the concept of public housing in the 21st century using the example of the Nishi-Yamato Danchi housing estate built in Tokyo in 1960–1970. The study used materials collected by the author – participant and observer of the workshops. The results of the research confirm the possibility of practical use of generally available resources of visualization of the earth’s surface obtained thanks to aerial and satellite remote sensing, as well as effective communication via the Internet during teaching activities. International design workshops broaden the participants’ knowledge of residential architecture, encourage the improvement of the quality of student education, and are also a source of research topics, for example on transcultural architecture.

Research related to proxemics, carried out at the turn of 2018–2020, during classes during which information and communication technology (ICT) was used and teaching elements of robotics during the implementation of programming and digital competences, also in the context of proxemics, allow for the analysis of issues , occurring during the study and included in the studies. As a result of the analysis of data obtained from the research, it can be concluded that teachers primarily participated in the forms of improvement related to the elements of robotics and digital competences in education, indicated significant participation in workshops and conferences, as well as in-school improvement and courses

Globalna edukacja szczególny nacisk kładzie na ukazywanie relacji między jednostką i procesami globalnymi (Lipska-Badoti i in., 2011), do których zaliczają się zmiany w krajobrazie. Sprzyja ona kształtowaniu postaw odpowiedzialnych już od najmłodszych lat, niezależnie od miejsca zamieszkania. Praca prezentuje wyniki badań przeprowadzonych wśród uczniów jednej ze szkół podstawowych w dzielnicy Achada Grande Frente w Prai (Republika Zielonego Przylądka). W kwietniu 2015 roku szkoła brała udział w projekcie Global Garden Project, Fundacji „W krajobrazie”. W badaniach szczególną uwagę zwrócono na kwestie związane z postrzeganiem krajobrazu w ujęciu edukacji globalnej. Wśród uczniów (8-14 lat) przeprowadzono badania ankietowe oraz wykonano szczegółową analizę prac plastycznych sporządzonych przez dzieci w ramach warsztatów. Przeanalizowano komponenty krajobrazu, rozmieszczenie obiektów na planszach oraz opracowano typologię obiektów dendrologicznych. Analiza i interpretacja prac dzieci jest dobrym źródłem informacji, pomagającym w przygotowania właściwego programu nauczania w zakresie edukacji krajobrazowej.
Global education puts particular emphasis on showing the relationship between an individual and the global processes (Lipska-Badoti i in., 2011) which include changes in the landscape. It helps to shape responsible attitudes from an early age, independently from the place of residence. This paper presents the results of a survey conducted among students of one primary school in the Achada Grande Frente district of Praia (Cape Verde). In April 2015, the school took part in “In the Landscape” Foundation project entitled Global Garden Project. During the research, particular attention was paid to the issues related to the perception of landscape in terms of global education. A questionnaire survey and artistic workshops were carried out among the school’s students (children aged 8-14). After that a detailed analysis of these artworks was made. The components of the landscape, objects spaced on the pieces of paper were analyzed, and a typology of dendrological objects were developed. The analysis and interpretation of children’s works is a good source of information, helping to prepare an appropriate curriculum in the field of landscape education.

Celem niniejszego artykułu jest ukazanie Warsztatów Liturgiczno-Muzycznych jako wydarzenia, które w ostatnich kilkunastu latach w polskim Kościele włączyło się w bardzo ważny element formacji chrześcijańskiej muzyków kościelnych i osób, które dzięki doświadczeniu udziału w warsztatach kreują muzykę w czasie liturgii w swoich wspólnotach parafialnych. W kontekście Adhortacji apostolskiej o katechizacji w naszych czasach św. Jana Pawła II Catechesi tradendae i rocznicy jej opublikowania, co skłania do powrotu ważnych treści nauczania głowy Kościoła, widzimy w fenomenie warsztatów odpowiedź na wezwania Świętego Papieża Polaka; wezwania do formacji i ewangelizacji, stawania się świadomym uczestnikiem liturgii i kształtowania przez nią świadectwa swojego życia. Kilkadziesiąt sesji warsztatowych na Warmii, w Gietrzwałdzie i Świętej Lipce, dało rozkwit zespołów śpiewaczych, chórów parafialnych i kształtowania posługi organistów w archidiecezji warmińskiej. Obecność warsztatów w dwóch najważniejszych sanktuariach maryjnych na Warmii jest znaczące, a w perspektywie ostatnich lat jest wręcz połączeniem dwóch miejsc, by zaznaczyć istotną rolę Świętej Bożej Rodzicielki Maryi w życiu Kościoła warmińskiego, oraz odpowiedzi współczesnego człowieka wiary na orędzie Matki Bożej z objawień w Gietrzwałdzie w 1877 r.
The purpose of this article is to show the Liturgical and Musical Workshops as an event, that in the last several years in the Polish Church has joined a very important element of Christian formation of church musicians and people who, thanks to the experience of participating in workshops, create music during the liturgy in their parish communities. In the context of the Apostolic Exhortation on catechization in our time of Saint. John Paul II Catechesi tradendae, and the anniversary of its publication, which prompts the return of important content of the teaching of the head of the church, in the phenomenon of workshops the answer to the calls of the Saint Polish Pope can be seen. A call to formation and evangelization, to become a conscious participant in the liturgy, and to shape the testimony of own life. Dozens of workshop sessions in Warmia, Gietrzwałd, and Święta Lipka flourished singing groups, parish choirs, as well as shaped the service of organists in the Archdiocese of Warmia. The presence of workshops in the two most important Marian shrines in Warmia is significant, and in the perspective of recent years, it is a combination of two places to emphasize the important role of the Holy Mother Mary of God in the life of the Warmian Church, and the response of modern person of faith to the proclamation of Theokotos from the apparitions in Gietrzwałd in 1877.

Twórczość Józefa Kulona obejmuje szereg dziedzin związanych ze sztuką użytkową. Najbardziej znanymi jego projektami są meble regionalne, zwane także wiejskimi, inspirowane formami mebli ludowych. Były one wykonywane w spółdzielniach należących do Cepelii. Najliczniejsze tego typu projekty Kulona powstały dla Zakopiańskich Warsztatów Wzorcowych. Analizując ich formy, można wydzielić dwa typy. Pierwszy – najliczniejszy, charakteryzuje się użyciem wyraźnie zaznaczonych elementów konstrukcyjnych z płycinami wypełnionymi deseczkami lub ażurem o pofalowanych krawędziach, naśladujących ornamenty ludowe, do niego możemy zaliczyć takie zestawy jak Janosik, Kierdel, Redyk czy Kacwin; i drugi – różniący się nie konstrukcją, a jedynie ornamentyką, to meble o miękkich liniach zdobionych stylizowanym, wyciętym konturowo dłutem ornamentem animalistycznym. Ich powierzchnia była często opalana i szczotkowana, tak by uzyskać wyraźny, jaśniejszy rysunek słojów. Przykładem mogą być komplet Miś czy nieznane mi z nazwy meble, które można artyście przypisać. Od lat 60. artysta tworzył wystrój licznych wnętrz użyteczności publicznej, by wymienić tylko kilka: świetlicę Spółdzielni Pracy „Pieniny” w Krościenku (1968), świetlicę Spółdzielni Pracy AW, Koniaków (1968), część wyposażenia schroniska Ślęża (1966). Józef Kulon projektował również pojedyncze sprzęty dla osób znanych, na indywidualne zamówienia, m.in. w 1966 r. ławy dla wiceprezydenta USA H. Humphreya, w 1967 r. łóżko dla gen. Charlesa de Gaulle’a oraz łóżko dla Jana Pawła II w ośrodku wypoczynkowym biskupów polskich w Zakopanem.
Józef Kulon’s oeuvre includes a number of branches related to applied art. His best known designs encompass regional furniture, also called cottage furniture, inspired by forms from folk furniture pieces. Kulon’s furniture was manufactured in Cepelia-run Cooperatives. The biggest number of his designs were created for the Zakopane Model Workshops. When analysing their forms, two types can be distinguished. The first, and the most numerous, is characterized by the use of clearly pronounced structural elements with panels filled with slats or openwork of wavy edges imitating folk ornaments, which include such sets as Janosik, Kierdel, Redyk, or Kacwin; the second type does not feature a different structure, but differs in ornamentation, with its pieces boasting soft lines decorated with a stylized contour chisel-cut-out animalistic ornament. The pieces’ surface was often scorched and brushed in order to obtain a clear lighter outline of rings. The latter type is exemplified by the set Miś [Bear] or other furniture pieces, unknown to me by their name, and which can be attributed to Kulon. Beginning with the 1960s, the artist created the décor of numerous interiors of public service, such as, to name a few: the common room of the ‘Pieniny’ Workers’ Cooperative, Krościenko (1968); the common room of the AW Workers’ Cooperative, Koniaków (1968); and a part of the furnishing of the Ślęża mountain hostel (1966). Furthermore, Józef Kulon designed customized furniture pieces for celebrities, e.g. in 1966, benches for US Vice President Humphrey; in 1967, a bed for General Charles de Gaulle; and a bed for John Paul II in the Zakopane Holiday Resort of the Polish Bishops.

Niniejszy artykuł opisuje w formie syntezy założenia, przebieg oraz rezultat dwuetapowych międzynarodowych warsztatów projektowych realizowanych w 2019 roku w ramach współpracy pomiędzy Wydziałem Architektury Politechniki Śląskiej, Wydziałem Architektury Politechniki Wrocławskiej, Wydziałem Architektury Politechniki w Dreźnie oraz niemieckim stowarzyszeniem Windmühle Seifhennersdorf e.V. Studenckie warsztaty architektoniczne są dopełnieniem edukacji kursowej na Wydziale Architektury, znacznie wzbogacają wiedzę praktyczną, szczególnie w sferze pracy w zespole międzynarodowym i międzywydziałowym [3]. Opisane warsztaty były szczególnie wartościowe w procesie edukacji architekta, ponieważ pomysłodawcy sami wykonali zaprojektowaną przez siebie konstrukcję - była to konfrontacja pomiędzy ideą a rzeczywistością.
This article describes in the form of a synthesis the assumptions, course and result of two-stage international design workshops carried out in 2019 as part of cooperation between the Faculty of Architecture of the Silesian University of Technology, the Faculty of Architecture of the Wrocław University of Technology, the Faculty of Architecture of the Technical University of Dresden and the German association Windmühle Seifhennersdorf e.V. Student architectural workshops complement the course education at the Faculty of Architecture, significantly enrich practical knowledge, especially in the area of work in an international and inter-faculty team [1]. The described workshops were especially valuable in the process of educating an architect because the designers themselves made the structure they designed - it was a confrontation between the idea and reality.

Opis:
Activities aimed at impacting the social space for preschool children are increasingly common. The need to start this type of education from an early age is recognized. In the world and in Poland, many joint actions are being created to familiarize children with the issues related to urban planning, elements of spatial development and the needs of city users. One such program is the Poznań Academy of Space project, implemented since 2016 by the Academic Scientific Association of Spatial Management. The aim of the paper is to present the above project as an example of student activities to increase spatial awareness among the youngest city users. The article presents the theoretical foundations of the project, current activities and plans for the project development in the upcoming years.

The article discusses the transformative value of the process of prototyping teaching aids during a fiveday workshop for teachers. Based on sequential narrative data collected by using the diaries method, we analyze changes in individual aspects of learning in a group of teachers, the dynamics of these changes, and differences resulting from the form of classes (in-person vs online). At the end of the article, we present practical conclusions that can be implemented in educational projects dedicated to teachers.
