If we assume that historical education is one of the foundations of moulding a modern democratic and pacifically oriented society, one would admit that it plays an important part in the process. One of the statutory tasks of the Institute of the National Remembrance – Commission for the Prosecution of Crimes Against the Polish Nation is historical education. While performing this task, Rzeszow branch of the Institute uses such innovative methods as: contests, comics, workshops, field games having the elements of historical knowledge, etc. The aim of the historical education realized by the INR is first and foremost popularizing the newest findings of the Polish history of the 20th century and awakening such desirable skills as creativeness and innovativeness among the young people.

The aim of this paper is to critically analyze introduced in 2008 changes in the rules of subsidizing employment of people with disabilities and their impact on the sector sheltered workshops and employment of people with disabilities. Subsidies for the employment of people with disabilities, introduced in 2004, provided an important instrument for the support of all employers that employ disabled people. However, the allocation of large sums of sheltered workshops than employers operating in the open labor market, would be compensation for expenditure on the creation of special working conditions and rehabilitation in the sheltered workshops. The reduction of these amounts and equalization grants transferred to sheltered workshops with employers from the open labor market was particularly unfavorable for sheltered employment sector and has become the major cause of the resignation of sheltered workshop of this status.

The aim of this paper is to present the grants to employment as the instruments stimulating employment of people with disabilities in the sheltered workshop in Poland in the years 2008-2013. The authoress verifies the effectiveness of these instruments in the employment growth in the sheltered workshops. This tool occurred to be effective in the case of persons with moderate and considerable disability. In the case of persons with light disability, it caused a decrease of their employment.

Lamps of the Hayes 9 type were produced in huge quantities in the state workshops of the Eastern Roman Empire and in the Western Pontic ateliers, where the Hayes 8 lamps were also manufactured, especially in Constantinople and Halmiris. The shape of the lamps and the fabric argue in favor of this assumption, further supported by the dating of contexts recorded during the excavation of Dobrogean sites. Thus, the Halmyris workshop complex appears to stand out among the lamp-producing centers, at least in the Black Sea area, during Justinian’s reign.

Celem niniejszego artykułu jest ukazanie Warsztatów Liturgiczno-Muzycznych jako wydarzenia, które w ostatnich kilkunastu latach w polskim Kościele włączyło się w bardzo ważny element formacji chrześcijańskiej muzyków kościelnych i osób, które dzięki doświadczeniu udziału w warsztatach kreują muzykę w czasie liturgii w swoich wspólnotach parafialnych. W kontekście Adhortacji apostolskiej o katechizacji w naszych czasach św. Jana Pawła II Catechesi tradendae i rocznicy jej opublikowania, co skłania do powrotu ważnych treści nauczania głowy Kościoła, widzimy w fenomenie warsztatów odpowiedź na wezwania Świętego Papieża Polaka; wezwania do formacji i ewangelizacji, stawania się świadomym uczestnikiem liturgii i kształtowania przez nią świadectwa swojego życia. Kilkadziesiąt sesji warsztatowych na Warmii, w Gietrzwałdzie i Świętej Lipce, dało rozkwit zespołów śpiewaczych, chórów parafialnych i kształtowania posługi organistów w archidiecezji warmińskiej. Obecność warsztatów w dwóch najważniejszych sanktuariach maryjnych na Warmii jest znaczące, a w perspektywie ostatnich lat jest wręcz połączeniem dwóch miejsc, by zaznaczyć istotną rolę Świętej Bożej Rodzicielki Maryi w życiu Kościoła warmińskiego, oraz odpowiedzi współczesnego człowieka wiary na orędzie Matki Bożej z objawień w Gietrzwałdzie w 1877 r.
The purpose of this article is to show the Liturgical and Musical Workshops as an event, that in the last several years in the Polish Church has joined a very important element of Christian formation of church musicians and people who, thanks to the experience of participating in workshops, create music during the liturgy in their parish communities. In the context of the Apostolic Exhortation on catechization in our time of Saint. John Paul II Catechesi tradendae, and the anniversary of its publication, which prompts the return of important content of the teaching of the head of the church, in the phenomenon of workshops the answer to the calls of the Saint Polish Pope can be seen. A call to formation and evangelization, to become a conscious participant in the liturgy, and to shape the testimony of own life. Dozens of workshop sessions in Warmia, Gietrzwałd, and Święta Lipka flourished singing groups, parish choirs, as well as shaped the service of organists in the Archdiocese of Warmia. The presence of workshops in the two most important Marian shrines in Warmia is significant, and in the perspective of recent years, it is a combination of two places to emphasize the important role of the Holy Mother Mary of God in the life of the Warmian Church, and the response of modern person of faith to the proclamation of Theokotos from the apparitions in Gietrzwałd in 1877.

 The “Art on Wheels” as an example of innovative solutions in cultural and educational projectsThe “Art on Wheels” project was created in 2008 by Krakow – based art historians Barbara Łepkowska and Katarzyna Wydra. Institutional support for the project is provided by the Krakow branch of the Association of Art Historians (Stowarzyszenie Historyków Sztuki). The main purpose of the project is to create a specific museum and art-exploratory space within monuments and historic places well-known to local communities and, what follows, to make local residents fully aware of the importance and value of the cultural heritage of their village, town or municipality. “Art on Wheels” creators realize the above-mentioned aims through organizing and carrying out interactive educational workshops. The classes, that usually take place in historic churches, help to explain and bring local residents closer to the foundations of the history of the art, iconography, architecture, various artistic techniques and styles, as well as the perception of a work of art, its context, essence and role. Interactive workshops also promote tourism, conservation of cultural heritage and tradition of the regions. The beneficiaries of the project are mainly the inhabitants of rural areas of the country, where opportunities to participate in cultural events are in general difficult and limited. The “Art on Wheels” project contributes to the reduction of social differences and disparities in the access to culture and helps in the promotion of the region’s tourism value as well as the conversation of local cultural heritage.

Museological educator – comments of a non-practising professional on the pleasures and advantages of a museum gameFrom the very beginning, the Polish museological literature has drawn attention to the educational role of museums. Yet in practice, educators are not perceived as employees who deserve to be called “museologists”. The authoress postulates that educators should be treated as fully-fl edged museum employees, particularly that it is precisely them who museum visitors come into contact fi rst. That is why, it is important that they have an opportunity to be involved in all phases of the organization of the exhibition and enter into direct contact with the collection which constitutes the most important point of reference of all museum activity. – Yet one should naturally draw attention to the necessary competence: familiarity with the discipline of knowledge represented by the museum, good inter-personal skills, ability to be flexible and to adjust to the level represented by the visitors, as well as knowledge of culture codes and contexts. For an educator may act as a specific medium, who through creating a suitable atmosphere during a museum visit and through imparting information that is pervaded with the necessary value of authenticity, guides the visitor to new ways of thinking and helps him to get to know the truths and values which have so far remained unknown to him.

RECONSTRUCTION OF HISTORICAL MONUMENTS
Opis:
Joint workshops held by Polish and German historians of art, architects and conservators of historical monuments - 'Die Schleifung. Zerstörung und Wiederaufbau historischer Bauten in Deutschland und Polen' (Demolition. The Destruction and Reconstruction of Historical Buildings in Germany and Poland) - took place on 11 and 12 January 2002 upon the initiative of the German Historical Museum (Deutschen Historischen Museum) in Berlin, the German Polish Institute in Darmstadt, and the Polish Institute in Leipizig. The topic of the event related to the twentieth- century destruction and reconstruction of historical buildings in Germany and Poland, with particular attention paid to the post-World War II period. A publication containing the workshop material, issued in Germany in 2005, was edited by Dieter Bingen and Hans-Martin Hinz. Germany and Poland were among those countries which, as a result of wartime hostilities, suffered greatest losses of their historical substance. After the war, the number of West German supporters of the reconstruction of historical monuments remained small, and the dominating view called for the necessity of loosening historical urban complexes and implementing the residential reform formulated by the left-wing architectural avant-garde from the 1920s and 1930s. A thus comprehended 'improvement' of the cities and their redesigning, caused by the development of motorization, was applied to justify the demolition of the preserved historical monuments, or those which were suitable for reconstruction. The conservators found it difficult to free themselves from the overwhelming 'to conserve and not to reconstruct' dogma. In Poland, the loss of historical monuments was the consequence of an intentional policy conducted by the German occupant. The total devastation of the Warsaw Old Town was an act of reprisal for the anti-German uprising and a consistent continuation of the extermination policy. Hence, right after the war, Polish historians of art and conservators of historical monuments, enjoying extensive social support, recognized, contrary to the binding doctrine, that not only individual buildings of significance for national culture but also entire Old Town districts were suitable for reconstruction. The papers presented in the course of the workshops and the ensuing discussions contributed to filling the information gap concerning the attitude towards the post-war reconstruction of historical monuments in Germany and Poland. The workshop themes were even more topical in view of the fact that at the turn of the twentieth century both countries experienced a second tide of the reconstruction of towns and historical monuments.

The main goal of our project was to preserve an original inventory from the former Orthodox Church in Odrzechowa (South-eastern Poland). Relics were found in the attic of the church. Students from the Crafts and Protection of Intangible Cultural Heritage Club from Academy of Fine Arts in Warsaw and members of Society for Develepment Odrzechowa Village, picked up the gauntlet together to investigate and preserve discovered "treasure". "Odrzechowa secrets" project had three priorities. Beside preservation of the relics, artistic workshops for local society and open lectures about icon art and heritage preservation. Artistic workshops was connected with history of the church. Participants had the opportunity to paint an icon using traditional technology. Lectures about history and cultural heritage were given by employees of the local museum in Sanok. Thanks to our actions lots of original objects have been investigated and preserved (inter alia: pieces of three altars from XVIII and XIX century, iconostasis and procession crosses). Artistic workshops and lectures built a positive platform among residents for other cultural projects for preservation and promotion of local heritage.
Projekt „Tajemnice Odrzechowej” to wspólne przedsięwzięcie studenckiego Koła Rzemiosła i Ochrony Niematerialnego Dziedzictwa Kultury działającego na Wydziale Konserwacji i Restauracji Dzieł Sztuki warszawskiej ASP oraz Stowarzyszenia na Rzecz Rozwoju Wsi Odrzechowa. Głównym celem było uratowanie zabytkowego wyposażenia dawnej cerkwi w Odrzechowej (obecnie kościoła rzymskokatolickiego), które odnalezione zostało na strychu świątyni. Poza ochroną odnalezionych zabytków zaplanowana została również szeroka akcja edukacyjna oparta o warsztaty artystyczne oraz wykłady dotyczące sztuki cerkiewnej oraz ochrony dziedzictwa. Zajęcia plastyczne prowadzone były przez studentów, natomiast wykłady – przez pracowników Muzeum Budownictwa Ludowego w Sanoku. Dzięki naszym działaniom udało się zinwentaryzować oraz zabezpieczyć cenne obiekty, m.in fragmenty trzech ołtarzy bocznych, z XVIII i XIX wieku, elementy architektury ikonostasu oraz kilka drobnych ruchomaliów (m.in. krzyże procesyjne z XVIII i XIX wieku). Przeprowadzone warsztaty i wykłady wzbudziły wśród mieszkańców potrzebę podjęcia kolejnych inicjatyw mających na celu ochronę oraz promocję lokalnego dziedzictwa.

Aim: The aim of the reserch is to explore the possibility of integrating Sciences and Humanities in the Faculty of Education using Ecocriticism books and literary workshops with didactic activities of interdisciplinary nature. Methods: The experience was carried out with 100 students of the Faculty of Education of the University of Valencia from the subjects “Natural Sciences for teachers” and “Literary training for teachers”, where different didactic activities around two literary works, a novel and a short story, were proposed. Results: After the activities, the vast mayority of the students consider that Literature can help to learn Science. 41'7% of the students of “Literary training for teachers” and 62.5% of “Natural Sciences for teachers” consider the integration of Sciences and Humanities in class “very important”; and 55.6% and 29.2% “quite important”. More than 90% of the students said they were “very” or “quite” conscious of sustainability and environmental protection, although the percentages vary slightly between the two classes. Conclusion: With this study we have shown that Ecocriticism and Education are two interlinked concepts, in the same way that literature and society are. Using the socializing function of literature is when we can have greater educational performance in the current classrooms, because it allows the students to connect their reality with the texts. These ecocriticism works are a first-order didactic resource to raise awareness about environmental and sustainability problems in pre-service teachers that will transmit the message to their future students.

The article presents the state of research and the research problems concerning the early modern Polish embroidery and the role of the monastic workshops in its formation. Embroidery was one of the regular occupation in the female congregations. Nuns embroidered for their churches, as well as they took the orders from outside – from male congregations, the higher clergy and the secular customers. Their importance has increased in the 17th century, and in the 18th century nearly all convents dealt with this craft. The preserved embroideries reflect the general stylish trends prevailing in the handicrafts, but they are characterized by greater conservatism. Their level is very varied, from perfect works to very weak and inept ones. Nuns rarely prepared themselves patterns for embroideries, more often they used the services of craftsmen or they were repeating the proven solutions. They certainly used the embroidery pattern books. An important inspiration for them were also patterns of fabrics. While the floral motifs showed high proficiency, in less common figural presentations we often see much incompetence. Vestments decorated with the elaborate symbolic representations are distinguished among them. At this stage of research it seems that the monastic workshops have had a major impact on the prosperity of embroidery in the Republic of Poland and that along with the guilds they developed a certain style and taste. Preserved objects are waiting for being catalogued and for insightful research that let us connect more of them with definite workshops.
Artykuł przedstawia stan badań i problemy badawcze dotyczące zagadnienia polskiego hafciarstwa nowożytnego i roli, jaką odegrały w nim pracownie klasztorne. Haftowanie było jednym ze stałych zajęć w zgromadzeniach żeńskich. Siostry haftowały dla swoich kościołów, a także realizowały zamówienia z zewnątrz – dla męskich zakonów i wyższego duchowieństwa oraz dla świeckich zleceniodawców. Ich znaczenie wzrosło w XVII wieku, a w XVIII wieku rzemiosłem tym trudniły się niemal wszystkie zakony. Zachowane hafty odzwierciedlają ogólne tendencje stylowe panujące w rzemiośle, cechuje je jednak większy konserwatyzm. Ich poziom jest bardzo zróżnicowany, od prac perfekcyjnych po słabe i nieudolne. Wzory do haftów siostry rzadko sporządzały same, czasem korzystały z usług mistrzów cechowych, powtarzały także po sobie sprawdzone rozwiązania. Z pewnością korzystały z wzorników hafciarskich. Ważną dla nich inspiracją były ponadto desenie tkanin. O ile w oddaniu motywów roślinno-kwiatowych wykazywały dużą biegłość, to w rzadziej spotykanych przedstawieniach figuralnych mamy często do czynienia z nieporadnością. Wyróżniają się szaty liturgiczne ozdobione rozbudowanymi przedstawieniami symbolicznymi. Na tym etapie badań wydaje się, że warsztaty klasztorne miały duży wpływ na rozkwit hafciarstwa w Rzeczypospolitej i że wraz z warsztatami cechowymi kształtowały pewien styl i gust. Zachowane zabytki czekają na skatalogowanie i wnikliwe badania, które być może pozwolą na połączenie większej ich liczby z konkretnymi warsztatami.

Many years of excavation works in the gord in Międzyrzecz have resulted in discovering the remains of three small glass workshops from the second half of the 10th century, the second half of the 11th century and the 13th century. The scarce and typically scattered sources have made it possible to identify the workshops’ nature and, to a very limited extent, the products manufactured there. The discovery included pieces of large and small crucibles, waste from the preliminary stage of glass melting. Most probably, low-alkaline potassium glass was produced there

Jednym z ze środków wykorzystywanych do zabezpieczenia przed powodzią są rękawy przeciwpowodziowe. Ich główne zalety, takie jak krótki czas sprawiania i mała pracochłonność przy budowie zapór, powodują, że pracownicy PSP coraz częściej sięgają po nie w trakcie akcji przeciwpowodziowych. Dlatego ważnym m aspektem jest prowadzenie szkoleń i warsztatów z obsługi rękawów. Szkolenia te kierowane są do PSP oraz do administracji publicznej zajmującej się zarządzaniem kryzysowym. Szkolenie obejmuje wiedzę teoretyczną z zakresu budowy rękawa przeciwpowodziowego, ukompletowania i obsługi Wyspecjalizowanego Zestawu Przeciw powodziowego (WZP) oraz zajęcia praktyczne z wykorzystaniem WZP. Program warsztatów szkoleniowych został opracowany w ramach projektu: „Optymalizacja procedur, dyslokacji baz i doskonalenie rozwiązań technicznych sprzętu stosowanego przez polskie służby ratownicze w zakresie przeciwdziałania zagrożeniom naturalnym ze szczególnym uwzględnieniem powodzi (rękawy przeciwpowodziowe)”.
One of the measures used to protect against flood are sleeves flood. Their main advantages, such as short period of time to putting, and a little labor intensity in the construction of dams cause that State Fire Service employees are increasingly using with the service sleeves. These courses are directed to the State Fire Service employees and public administration dealing with crisis management. Training in its scope includes theoretical knowledge in the construction of flood protection sleeve, manning and operation Specialized Set Flood (SSF) and practical classes using SSF. The program of training workshops has been developed within the project "Optimization of procedures, dislocation bases and improving technical equipment used by the Polish emergency services in dealing with natural hazards with particular emphasis on flooding (flood sleeves)".

W opracowaniu przedstawiono w jaki sposób fabularne gry scenariuszowe mogą zostać wykorzystane jako efektywna forma przekazywania wiedzy. Badanie poprzedzono kwerendą literatury. Artykuł opisuje przebieg prac, których efektem było utworzenie komputerowej gry edukacyjnej wykorzystującej koncepcję oraz narzędzia zwinnego zarządzania. Proponowany model grywalizacji procesu edukacji powstał w wyniku analizy studium przypadku projektu TY Classes Polskiego Stowarzyszenia Menadżerów Logistyki. Celem publikacji jest wypełnienie luki badawczej w procesie grywalizacji oraz zdobywania wiedzy. Efekty pracy są wynikiem identyfikacji dobrych praktyk realizowanych przez organizację oraz działań przetestowanych w warunkach rynkowych. Dzięki przeprowadzeniu cyklu spotkań wśród uczniów szkół ponadpodstawowych oraz studentów kierunków powiązanych z łańcuchem dostaw, udało się zidentyfikować luki kompetencyjne w zakresie zarządzania przedsiębiorstwem. Wynikiem tej pracy jest gra, w której zadaniem uczestnika jest tworzenie produktów spożywczych dla konsumentów. W trakcie rozgrywki gracz powinien wykorzystać koncepcję lean management, dzięki czemu będzie mógł uzyskać lepszy wynik i przejść do kolejnego etapu gry. Stworzono narzędzie, będące przede wszystkim połączeniem nauki i rozrywki, pomagające zdobyć wiedzę i nabyć umiejętności, które są bardzo atrakcyjne dla młodzieży.
The study presents how role-playing scenario games can be used as an effective form of knowledge transfer. A literature search preceded the study. The article describes the course of work that resulted in creating an educational computer game using the concept and tools of lean management. The proposed model of gamification of the educational process was created as a result of the analysis of the case study of the TY Classes project by the Polish Supply Management Leaders. The publication aims to fill the research gap in gamification and knowledge acquisition. The effects of the work are the result of identifying good practices implemented by the organization and activities tested in market conditions. By conducting a series of meetings among secondary school students and students of faculties related to the supply chain, it was possible to identify competence gaps in business management. The result of this work is a game in which the participant's task is to create food products for consumers. During the game, the player should use the concept of lean management, thanks to which he will be able to obtain a better score and move to the next stage of the game. A tool has been created that is, above all, a combination of learning and entertainment, helping to acquire knowledge and gain skills that are very attractive to young people.

Autorka podjęła próbę analizy tych zagadnień na przykładzie projektów, wspólnie realizowanych przez młodzieżową orkiestrę smyczkową „Camerata Scholarum” z Kielc i młodzieżową orkiestrę symfoniczną „il mosaico” z Wattwil (Szwajcaria) w latach 1994-2003.
Comprehensive benefits of active music performing by the young people have multiple dimensions. Making music together creates a unique opportunity to develop own interests, release creative attitudes, socialize and sensitize while positively affect selt-esteem as well as creates a source of personal satisfaction. Article applies to artiscic and educational aspects of musical activities of the youth in adolescence period. The author made an attempt to analyze these issues on the example of the projects jointly imple-mented by the youth string orchestra "Camerata Scholarum" from Kielce and youth symphony orchestra "il mosaico" from Wattwil (Switzerland) between 1994 and 2003.

The aim of this article is to present socio-cultural processes of doing gender categories in women with intellectual disabilities and to identify barriers and limitations which they face on the way of „becoming women”. The study and its analysis are based on the critical approach. The method of data collection was a participant observation conducted during three proprietary workshops on femininity organized for 17 women with moderate to severe intellectual disabilities (5–6 people in a group), attending an occupational therapy workshop. The aim of our workshops was the empowerment of one’s own femininity and strengthening of processes of doing gender by the participants. The analysis of collected material revealed that the process of shaping gender identities of women with intellectual disability is a subject of social control of the local community. Participants of the workshops are well aware that they are adult women and they strive for the realization of cultural patterns of femininity. In their case, however, these patterns are socially regulated and the women themselves internalize certain limitations imposed by the society during the socialization process. They instinctively “know” what they are allowed to do, and what they cannot gain as women with intellectual disabilities.

Opis:
Activities aimed at impacting the social space for preschool children are increasingly common. The need to start this type of education from an early age is recognized. In the world and in Poland, many joint actions are being created to familiarize children with the issues related to urban planning, elements of spatial development and the needs of city users. One such program is the Poznań Academy of Space project, implemented since 2016 by the Academic Scientific Association of Spatial Management. The aim of the paper is to present the above project as an example of student activities to increase spatial awareness among the youngest city users. The article presents the theoretical foundations of the project, current activities and plans for the project development in the upcoming years.

Project is one of the most stimulating and motivating form of working in group, so therefore it should be considered as an important element of a FLT. To prove this statement, it was conducted a project with students of Applied Linguistics, whose main idea was connected with the description of an inside and outside perspective of the representative paintings from the German speaking countries. The results of this initiative were fertile for both, lecturer and students and they will be described in the presented paper.

Based on the Tajfel’s and Turner’s Social Identity Theory an own research was constructed. The aim of the study was to check whether stereotyping and prejudices occur in relations between groups of army civilians and soldiers working together in the Polish Navy. In a questionnaire, 96 soldiers and 104 army civilians reported perceptions of their own vocational group and of the out-group and expressed dehumanization of the in- and out-group members. Respondents showed in-group favoritism in trait and emotion evaluations, but mutual dehumanization did not occur. However, it is interesting to note that, the group of regular soldiers was dehumanizing itself. The most important finding for practice is that members of both groups who have participated in integration workshops showed lower in-group favoritism, than integration non-participants. The implications of these results are discussed.
