The article deals with work after the political transformation of 1989 in the light of contemporary literary accounts in the prose of Andrzej Stasiuk, Dawid Bieńkowski, Piotr Siemion, Daniel Odija, and others. The literary works are taken to contain records of personal and social problems, captured as objectivised experience of many individuals. An attempt is made to adapt the methodological proposals characteristic of the poetics of experience to selected approaches to work in contemporary literature. These approaches include: the shortage of work as the key element of social change, part-time work, physical work (often considered inferior and unfulfilling), work on a marketplace (as the release of subdued energy), the work of a small-business entrepreneur (along with bankruptcy as an inalienable element of the experience), and work connected with new forms of capitalist corporate context. The experience of work in the times of transformation, as it appears in literature, is presented in terms of failure, exclusion, exploitation, more than a mirage of careers – although the latter approach is also present, albeit often in the context of irony and parody. In the writers’ view, the Polish reality after the transformation reveals a deep social disintegration, while individuals, forced to become self-reliant, do not always win when confronted with the new, capitalist reality.
 Autor zajmuje się doświadczeniem pracy w czasach transformacji ustrojowej po roku 1989 w świetle współczesnych świadectw literackich zawartych w prozie Andrzeja Stasiuka, Dawida Bieńkowskiego, Piotra Siemiona, Daniela Odii i innych. Utwory literackie traktuje jako zapis problemów jednostkowych i społecznych, ujętych w aspekcie obiektywizacji doświadczenia, będącego udziałem wielu jednostek. Propozycje metodologiczne, wypracowywane w ramach poetyki doświadczenia stara się zaadaptować do próby prześledzenia kilku wskazanych ujęć problematyzacji doświadczenia pracy w literaturze najnowszej. Do tych ujęć należą: ukazywanie braku pracy jako kluczowego kontekstu zmiany społecznej, następnie: praca dorywcza, fizyczna, ujmowana często jako praca wstydliwa, nieprzynosząca satysfakcji, praca bazarowa, ukazywana jako wyzwolenie tłumionej energii, praca drobnego biznesmena – wraz z bankructwem jako nieodłącznym elementem tego doświadczenia – oraz praca związana z nowymi formami kapitalistycznego korporacjonizmu.Doświadczenie pracy czasów transformacji w świetle ujęć literackich przedstawiane jest częściej w kategoriach klęski, wykluczenia, wyzysku niż mirażu karier, choć i takie ujęcia pojawiają się – jednak często w konwencjach ironicznoparodystycznych. Zdaniem pisarzy w polskiej rzeczywistości po przełomie ujawnia się głęboka dezintegracja społeczna, zaś jednostki, zdane na siebie, nie zawsze wychodzą zwycięsko w konfrontacji z nową, kapitalistyczną rzeczywistością.

This article focuses on the hybrid work of art viewed as a form of experience. I take into consideration the issue of the hybrid work of art viewed as a form of experience from the perspective of how Dewey wrote about art which can be perceived as a form of experience. How can we understand the notion of experience in relation to the work of art, and, more importantly, to the hybrid work of art? My analysis of the experience category is based on the philosophical texts written by Luigi Pareyson. The question I would like to answer is if hybrid works of art portray the experience of contemporary reality. My considerations are founded on the poems by Paula Claire (ES-SENSE and Hymns to Isis) and the artist’s book by Jim Butler (A.M.D.G).

This article proposes to focus on the hybrid work of art from the perspective of aesthetic experience. The category of aesthetic experience is helpful in creating the poetics which focuses on the role of the recipient. From the perspective of this article, it is important to analyze how the recipient constructs the meaning of the hybrid work of art (if this is possible), and to look at the process of its interpretation. Although the reception of each hybrid work of art should be considered as unique (as has been postulated by Rüdiger Bubner), the category of aesthetic experience turns out to be helpful and can be regarded as a kind of poetics of the hybrid work of art. The article distinguishes four stages of the aesthetic experience: sensory perception of the hybrid work of art, an emotional response, an attempt at interpretation, and the final completion.

Stable and permanent work is the cornerstone of the functioning of every person in the entire period of his adult life. Proper professional qualifications reinforce the area of employment, but their absence can contribute to the emergence of serious problems in finding a suitable job. Capitalist economy is mainly characterized by frequent changes in the labor market, but systematic education and normal development of man from an early age can contribute to the better functioning of adult in his professional life. The article is an attempt to present the results of the survey in students opinion of pedagogical studies of the Faculty of Education at the University of Rzeszów in Rzeszów city on the situation on the Polish labor market, about their career plans, about their activities in acquiring new skills, competencies, as well as the possibility of taking a new job or obtain a promotion during present employment.

Tematem niniejszej pracy jest sformułowana przez Christę Wolf „poetyka autentyczności subiektywnej”. W pierwszej części poetyka ta zostaje omówiona w oparciu o wybrane teksty eseistyczne autorki, w drugiej zobrazowana na przykładzie powieści Rozmyślania nad Christą T. Poetyka autentyczności subiektywnej opiera się na założeniu, że w twórczości literackiej nie jest możliwy obiektywny punkt wyjścia. Autor tworzy swoje dzieło zawsze na podstawie konkretnego, tylko jemu dostępnego – subiektywnego zatem – doświadczenia. Za pomocą języka stwarza nową rzeczywistość – rzeczywistość dzieła literackiego. Konstruuje ją w oparciu o fakty i jednocześnie w wolny sposób kreuje. Obraz świata przedstawionego w dziele literackim powinien być „zgodny z prawdą” (C. Wolf), w sensie: zgodny z wizją autora, a przy tym wiarygodny, prawdopodobny, możliwy do wyobrażenia. Nie jest ważne, czy autor wiernie przedstawia fakty. Ważna jest jego „autentyczność wewnętrzna” – wierność własnemu doświadczeniu. Praca twórcza staje się wówczas dla autora drogą do poznania samego siebie i do samorealizacji jako jednostki, literatura zaś dla czytelnika – przewodnikiem i schronieniem na jego własnej drodze życiowej. Świat przedstawiony w dziele literackim sytuuje się zatem pomiędzy „realnościami różnego stopnia”. Świadomość autora tworzy płaszczyznę ich zetknięcia się i przenikania. Obecny w dziele literackim element subiektywny stanowi jego „czwarty wymiar”. Powieść „Rozmyślania nad Christą T.” powstała z potrzeby przezwyciężenia bolesnego dla Autorki doświadczenia – śmierci przyjaciółki. Na podstawie pozostawionych przez nią notatek, listów oraz rękopisów, a także własnych wspomnień, tworzy Autorka jej literacki obraz. Autentyczność subiektywna jako pewna postawa autora znajduje w powieści swój pełny wyraz. Rzeczywistość nie jest tu wyraźnie oddzielona od fikcji. Autorka wiernie przedstawia fakty, co powoduje przyprawiające o „zawrót głowy” (C. Wolf) wrażenie, że Rozmyślania nad Christą T. to dokument biograficzny, a nie fikcja literacka. Christa T. zostaje jednak również wymyślona – staje się postacią literacką.

Work is one of the paradoxes of human life. It is difficult to define its essence, the correct source, tasks, and roles in human life. Therefore, work in the scientific literature is understood ambiguous and multi-dimensional. The un-derstanding of this seems to express a special kind of process – activity, which is the cause of making a state of things – activity and effort to something, or change, or only maintain, produce, or reproduce, or inhibit the natural proc-esses of degradation. Opis:
Motherhood, which includes the process of becoming and being a mother, is understood as an institution or as personal experience, and both these perspectives are interdependent. The institution of motherhood, which is necessary for the functioning of societies, shapes women’s living conditions, influences their choices, frames desirable behaviours, gives the highest priority to the social role of the mother, and limits women’s identity to a single dimension. The experience of women-mothers is juxtaposed with the idea of sacrificing oneself for the good of another human being. The stories of motherhood analysed for the purpose of this article were published on the fanpage Żałuję rodzicielstwa [I regret parenthood] and clearly indicate that being a mother can be a trajectory experience associated with overpowering suffering. Women’s experiences were inscribed in the subsequent phases of a trajectory process identified by F. Schütze and G. Reimann, and the reflection on those experiences leads, among other things, to the conclusion that both mothers who have undertaken biographical work on their own experiences, as well as those who have not done so, most often organise their further life with the trajectory in the background, without fundamentally changing their personal situation.
Macierzyństwo, które obejmuje proces stawania się i bycia matką, ujmowane jest jako instytucja lub osobiste doświadczenie, a obie te perspektywy pozostają ze sobą w zależności. Instytucja macierzyństwa będąca tworem niezbędnym dla funkcjonowania społeczeństwa, kształtuje warunki życia kobiet, wpływa na ich wybory, wyznacza ramy pożądanych zachowań, nadaje najwyższą rangę roli społecznej matki i zawęża tożsamość kobiet do jednego wymiaru. Z ideą poświęcenia siebie dla dobra drugiego człowieka konfrontowane są doświadczenia kobiet-matek. Analizowane na potrzeby niniejszego tekstu historie dotyczące macierzyństwa opublikowane zostały na fanpage’u Żałuję rodzicielstwa i w jednoznaczny sposób wskazują na to, że bycie matką może być doświadczeniem trajektoryjnym, związanym ze zniewalającym cierpieniem. Przeżycia kobiet wpisane zostały w wyróżnione przez F. Schütze i G. Reimanna kolejne fazy procesu trajektoryjnego, a refleksja nad nimi prowadzi m.in. do wniosku, że zarówno matki, które podjęły biograficzną pracę nad własnymi doświadczeniami, jak i te, które tego nie zrobiły w konsekwencji i tak najczęściej organizują swoje dalsze życie z trajektorią w tle, nie zmieniając zasadniczo osobistej sytuacji.

BACKGROUND: The occurrence of back pain is associated with many factors, which include among others, workloads such as: the type and time of work execution as well as repetitive work. The work of a paramedic must also take into account the impact of stress on the increased tension of soft tissues. Overload often occurs due to the shearing forces of forced static positions, as well as dynamic loads during the handling of sick and injured people. AIM: The aim of the study was to evaluate the effect of the work and work-time of paramedics on the occurrence of back pain. MATERIAL AND METHODS: The study included 89 men aged 20 to 45 years (mean age = 29.30 ± 4.56) actively enga-ged in the paramedic occupation. The respondents were divided into two groups – men working in the profession for five years, and over. The study authors used a questionnaire and the Visual Analogue Scale. RESULTS: Among the males from group A, the intensity of back pain showed a positive correlation with the number of years working in the profession. No co-variability between the intensity of back pain and their age was observed among the examined paramedics. Back pain affects their daily duties, the efficiency of their work and the mood of the respondents. CONCLUSIONS: The occurrence and severity of back pain among paramedics increases in the first few years of their careers. Back pain in paramedics affects the activities they perform in everyday life.
WSTĘP: Występowanie dolegliwości bólowych kręgosłupa u ratowników medycznych jest związane m.in. z obciążeniem pracą zawodową, jej rodzajem, czasem trwania i monotypią ruchową. Stres dodatkowo może potęgować te dolegliwości poprzez wzmożenie napięcia tkanek miękkich. Nierzadko przeciążenia powstają ze strony sił ścinających statycznego przyjmowania wymuszonych pozycji, a także dynamicznych obciążeń podczas przenoszenia chorych i po-szkodowanych osób. CEL PRACY: Celem pracy była ocena wpływu pracy zawodowej na występowanie dolegliwości bólowych kręgosłupa u ratowników medycznych. MATERIAŁ I METODY: Badaniami objęto 89 mężczyzn w wieku od 20 do 45 lat (x = 29,30 ± 4,56) czynnie wykonujących zawód ratownika medycznego. Badanych podzielono na dwie grupy w zależności od stażu pracy – grupę pracujących do 5 lat oraz powyżej. Do badań użyto autorskiego kwestionariusza ankiety oraz skali VAS. WYNIKI: Ratownicy z mniejszym stażem pracy częściej wskazywali na dolegliwości bólowe, a ich intensywność była wprost proporcjonalna do stażu pracy. W obu grupach wiek nie miał wpływu na występowanie tych dolegliwości (p > 0,05). Ból kręgosłupa rzutował na codzienną pracę, efektywność wykonywanych czynności oraz nastrój badanych. WNIOSKI: Występowanie i nasilenie dolegliwości bólowych kręgosłupa u ratowników medycznych narasta w pierwszych kilku latach ich pracy zawodowej. Ból kręgosłupa ma wpływ na wykonywane przez nich czynności życia codziennego.

The study examined the relationships between work experience and (a) safety perceptions, (b) job satisfaction, (c) compliance with safety management policies and (d) accident frequency. Participants were Ghanaian industrial workers (N = 320). They were divided into 2 cohorts: experienced and inexperienced workers. Workplace safety perceptions were assessed with Hayes et al.’s 50-item work safety scale. MANOVA was used to test for differences of statistical significance. Posterior comparison with t test consistently revealed significant differences between experienced cohorts and their inexperienced counterparts. Experienced workers indicated the best perceptions on safety, expressed the highest level of job satisfaction, were the most compliant with safety procedures and recorded the lowest accident frequency. From a practical perspective, analysing differences in work experience in relation to safety perceptions could be useful for organizations as the workersʼ experience could indicate a need for special safety programmes for particular groups.

ICT Tools are not primary, but secondary learning source for teaching abstract mathematical concepts at preschool institution. As a matter of fact, for children ICT Tools don’t have the power of immediate and practical experience or experimental work, which are the primary source of learning such contents. ICT Tools can only be used to revise knowledge after children have acquired it through direct manipulative activities and experiments, which require sensory experiences (eyes, hands). In that way children estimate volume of different liquids and their dishes firstly subjectively and then objectively.

Opis:
It is the objective of this article to present the case study of a non-governmental organisation conducting supportive activities for the benefit of children with the experience of immigration in Freiburg im Breisgau in Germany. In this article, the theoretical context depicting the policy of the intercultural opening of services and institutions to immigrants and refugees, and also the conception of ’interinclusion’ in the policy of intercultural opening, is presented. In the further part of this article, the analysis of the practical activities of the non-profit organisations as exemplified by Stadtpiraten Freiburg e.V. in the context of the presumptions behind the policy of the intercultural opening of services and institutions is presented in more of a detail.

Opis:
Praca w życiu człowieka pełni rolę osobistą i społeczną. Refleksja nad zrozumieniem jej istotnego znaczenia jest konieczna do tego, by właściwie włączyć pracę do życia. Właściwe włączenie polega na tym, że stanowi ona z życiem harmonijną całość i jest źródłem poczucia sensu i radości. W artykule wskazano różne sposoby doświadczania pracy: jako źródła środków materialnych, obowiązku społecznego, kształtowania tożsamości, przestrzeni samorealizacji, pozycji społecznej oraz nawiązywania kontaktów z innymi osobami. Zwrócono uwagę na związek jakości wykonywania pracy z tym jej wymiarem, który nazwano pasją. Wyjaśniono czym jest pasja oraz czym charakteryzuje się osoba wykonująca pracę z pasją. Pokazano znaczenie pasji na przykładzie badań amerykańskiego psychologa Mihály’a Csíkszentmihályiego. Autor przez ponad 25 lat prowadził badania, w których starał się wyjaśnić dlaczego jedne osoby doświadczają maksymalnego przeżywania wykonywanej czynności, a inne nie, chociaż wykonują tę samą czynność. Na ich podstawie opracował teorię przepływu (flow theory). Konsekwencją braku pasji jest przeciętność osiąganych rezultatów pracy. Negatywne konsekwencje pojawiają się również wtedy, gdy człowiek traktuje pasję instrumentalnie, czyli jako środek do osiągnięcia innych sukcesów. W artykule scharakteryzowano przykłady takiego nastawienia współczesnego człowieka do pasji. Prawdziwa pasja trwa dopóki jest przestrzenią wolności osoby i nie wynika z żadnej konieczności. Pedagogiczna interpretacja powinna więc być skoncentrowana na tworzeniu warunków sprzyjających kształtowaniu i rozwijaniu pasji, a nie wskazywaniu do czego może się ona przydać.
Working plays a relevant role in both personal and social life. Reflections on understanding its importance are necessary for accurately harnessing it for life, ensuring that it is in harmony with our whole life and serves s a source of sense of meaning and joy. The article indicates the different ways of experiencing work: as a source of material resources, social obligation, shaping identity, self-realization, determining social status and to establish contacts with other people. Attention has been drawn to the connection between the quality of work with the dimension which is called passion. Passion is defined together with what makes a person perform their work with passion. The importance of passion has been shown on the example of the research of American psychologist Mihály Csíkszentmihályi. For more than 25 years the author led a study through which he tried to explain why some people feel the maximum while others do not, although both execute the same operation. From its results, he developed flow theory. The consequence of the lack of passion is the mediocrity of work results. Negative consequences also arise when a person treats passion instrumentally, that is, as a means to gain more success. The article describes examples of such an attitude towards passion. True passion continues until it remains a genuine space for personal freedom and it is not the result of any necessity. Therefore, the pedagogical interpretation should be focused on creating the conditions conducive to the formation and development of passion, not indicating what might it be useful for.
